Let Her Eat Cake!

Well it's been a difficult few days for me, life is pretty quiet here in Holland, and there's not much happening in my working life - although I did just get given the weekend off! - but I want to find things to keep me occupied from slipping into a bit of a RL depression right now. I know that there people with worse situations in the world, but I just feel lonely due to missing my RL family! 
So it's Thursday and I'm totally free until Tuesday next week, what am I going to do to make things feel better... LET THEM EAT CAKE!!

I know she was not one of the best examples of monarchy throughout history, but there are some times in life when a girl can totally get behind the sentiments of what Marie Antoinette said... YES she wasn't smart for suggesting the people in her kingdom should eat cake when they couldn't even afford the basics and were starving, but come on... IT'S CAKE!!! Cake I feel, could always perk my mood up and make me a happier Rudhie! 
So I LOVED this dress in the MariaAntoniete Gacha from UNA... It comes in a range of colours, but being a gacha collection you gotta get lucky to win the colours you desire! I found this perfect pink set matched with the dress my Fantastique Frenchie - from Hextraordinary - had chosen to wear, and while we were posing with all this cake she looked adorable, until she decided to put her face in it!!! 
Still I won't be too mad at her, in the words of Marie Antoinette, "let her eat cake" and "bon appetite!"

A Fairy High Tea

I've had a lovely day having tea at my Grandparents house in RL today, but aside from spending time with my family, I have to say one of my favourite aspects of being at my Grandparents house is their awesome garden. Hidden in the woods, at the bottom of their garden is an area that really seems like a fairytale woodland, there's bluebells everywhere and a cute little brook that would make the perfect riverside location of any good fairystory!!! 
So after lunch I went for a walk into the fairy wood, and as I sat in the sun, it felt like the perfect place for a fairy tea... Funnily enough I had a post ready and waiting for a moment just like this today! 

There's nothing better than a fairytale picnic, nestled in a sunny yet shady spot, and to be honest, furniture and fairy folk aside, this was just like the little nook in my Grandparents garden! 
The furniture though is more than a little epic... I LOVE this set of garden furniture - that's available from Violetility until the end of today for Palette! 
I added some yummy cakes - from random.Matter - which were perfect for a high tea, then found a magic teapot - from the Disorderly Confetti Set - that would make special tea for the fairy folk, and waited... Sure they would turn up! The fairies did not disappoint! After all, who could turn down scones and Jam Rolypoly!

Clown Twins of the Freakshow

Halloween may already be over - it went so fast and I'm sad that it's already gone - but then I think to myself "wait a minute, every day is Halloween for me!"  and I'm not going to let myself be sad because the special day is over... There's still lots of super fun Halloweeny stuff going on for a little longer - like the Gators MC Halloween Maze, and even when that stops I'll still be embracing my darker side!
Talking of darker sides, I met someone that I've kinda known about in the back of my mind for a long time, we've been working in the same kind of blogger circles for years but have just never really connected with, until recently... 

I started liking posts she was making on facebook, then began bumping into Guen Gothly at random shopping events, passing by and sharing the odd hello... One day when we actually talked it was like a friendship didn't just start it blew up big time, and now this amazing lady is someone I feel happy turning to for support and guidance and giggles too! Giggles just like the post we decided randomly to create together, when I distracted her at Cynful and she almost bought a neon blue cardigan LOL... 
On that day it was decided we'd buy the cardigans - although not in the blue - and dress like horror clowns... SEE She's just as weird as I am! 
I'm also a LITTLE late blogging this, Guen had her's done ages ago. She wrote such a lovely post on her blog Macabre Beauties (and check her out on Flickr too), that I had a cheesy grin and felt really special, but I've been lagging behind by a few days.

Make-Up is a Mask

I recently saw an advert on Flickr that I store I LOVE was looking for bloggers... I tend to find myself feeling a little shy to apply for things, since rejection is something I can't handle but I wanted to try for this store since it's been something I stumbled on randomly. They make some awesome make-ups that are perfect for creating some fun characters... I'm talking about a store called Mad'... 

I chose to play with these Innocent Masks from Mad´ as my first post... I know it may seem strange as my first choice. Yet make-up has always felt like a bit of a mask to me in RL, I hate wearing the stuff in RL but in SL it's like a staple accessory. Everyone wears their avatar as a mask but the application of make-up can be a little bit of a mask too... 
There is a lot more to come from the make up box that is Mad' and some of it isn't even make up... I'm so excited to be able to share it with you...

Casting a little Magic...

I don't normally do things involving just décor, I don't feel like I'm very good at it... BUT I had these adorable rugs and needed to find a way to show something magical... 
So today Rudh is working on some special magic... The kind of magic that is the most dangerous and tricky magic... Love Magic... 

The magic is something that comes from true love, but you know sometimes even that needs a little help, and a girl needs to practice her magic making skills... 
She's got a spell book, and is set up ready to go... Everything is on her table ready on Crystal Rug from Candle and Cauldron, and the heat is on... Lets see how much damage she can cause!

The Sad Tale of the Snow Perv

Still feeling like I am on the outside looking in at Christmas this year, I really don't feel very festive and cannot get myself into the Christmas Spirit no matter what I do... I've been blasting myself with music, watching Christmassy feel-good  movies and staring at the tree and it's sparkling décor wondering why the heck I cannot feel in the festive mood! 
I feel like I'm sneaking around watching the fun but not being able to join in... A bit like the Christmas Snow Perv... 

The poor little Snow Perv, all she wanted to do was join in the Christmas fun - hoping that there would be the usual Christmas argument and perhaps if she was lucky the chance for a little macabre fun?! 
Labelled a Psycho - thanks to 7mad;Ravens - and hidden behind her Snow Perv Mask - an amazing creation by katat0nik which you can still grab at Tannenbaum until Sunday - she's been forced to roam the streets of the little village of Winter Flakes looking for anywhere a monster like her can find a little Christmas Fun... 
For now, she like me is on the outside looking in... That won't stay this way for long... She can feel it in the snow flurries that have been tormenting the villagers...

Living Dead Clown

Today is HellBone's RL Birthday, and so I am going to get all dressed up in my best and try to wow him like only a little Living Dead Doll could... Not that it will work, I mean he's more likely to be interested if I was dressed as a Dinosaur - trust me it's happened in the past - and I'm just doing this for my own happiness... I never need an excuse to play dress up, especially when it involves letting my Living Dead Dolly side come to the surface!
Today I'm a Living Dead CLOWN Dolly, which to quote a super hot demon hunter is weird, because "apparently Clowns Kill!" hehe...

This entire outfit came together because of two things... One being the amazingly cute Dead Dollz Outfit called The Countess - to which HellBone said, it's not fully rezzed for me your boobs are still showing *facepalms* - and the way that I put my make-up together...
The outfit looked perfect with my thigh high BAX Regency boots - like they were made for each other - but I don't think this outfit would have worked so well if I hadn't done my make-up the way that I did... So after playing around for a while at Picklesong, I decided it was time to head home and take a better, clearer face shot so that you can see what it really looks like...

As per usual, I've built it up in layers... Excluding my usual scar from antielle, I've gone to town on the rest of the make-up I wear... Crimson smeared Lipstick with mascara tears from antielle over Squeek's "Not Exactly a Clown" Make-up but under the [mock] Tainted Love Zombie Makeover bloody tears... While the red smeared lipstick has been slashed as it was smeared thanks to antielle's Kuchisake Onna...
For one last flourish, and something that makes it seem kinda pertinent to the month of the Valentine, I've made the sad clown a little sadder with a crying rose from KOSH... These are not new but still some of the prettiest roses in SL... Perfect for dead girls at Valentines!

Walking with a Dead Doll

Today I feel like crap, I've been caught by a pretty crap winter cold and I am barely holding on to myself... The zombie girl in me is definitely in charge today and I think that I am more than happy to let her run the show... I don't think I have any power to fight her - Stupid Colds! 
Still the Living Dead Girl is a major part of me, and when she takes over she always knows how to make me feel better! This morning she took me for a walk in the rain, in a pretty graveyard at Nox Arcanus! 

Luckily we had a lamp to light the place up a little, it was far too dark too see anything otherwise. The lams is brilliant, an Image Essentials - therefore fully loaded with the pose I'm using - Lantern pose, which you can grab for yourself at the Frozzen Fair that ends tomorrow - December 16th!
I love the outfit that I took this walk in, though I'm not sure the boots were such a good idea in all that mud - even though the N-Core boots do look GORGEOUS - but the Skelly Thermal Suit from Static was just too cute not to wear with them! 
It's been a while since the Living Dead Girl came out so much as this, and you might well notice she's trying out some new wounds on her face... I couldn't resist this sliced mouth look in a Suicide Girls Style!

Bittersweet sounds of an Apocalyptica Cello

This time last week I was super excited... Fast forward a week later and I'm in love with Viking Cellists, so please Santa if you're reading this I have been a VERY good girl this year - or at least I will be from now on until your big day - can I pleaseeeeeeee have a Viking Cellist under the Christmas tree this year??! LOL - I know, I'm crazy but it can't hurt to try right?! LOL...
OK let me elaborate on my crazy ramblings. I went to see a band called Apocalyptica - they are a metal band that plays cellos, sounds weird but trust me it's damn good! - and not only is the music beautiful but the band themselves, well let's just say they aren't too shabby either - just in case Hell is reading LOL! One of their songs is called Bittersweet - it was originally recorded using the vocals of Ville Valo of HIM  - but the classical version brings me out in goosebumps, it's ghostly...
Whilst I was out shopping this week, you will never guess what I found... YES! A CELLO POSE!

It's almost like the creator of Come Soon Poses knew exactly what I wanted LOL... This Melody Pose was created by Come Soon for the latest round of Suicide Dollz, and as soon as I saw it I knew that I would be be doing something in homage to the Viking Cellists this week! The full scene is awesome for the low price that you pay for these pose sets, but I will admit that I added a few things. The Skull and the vase of flowers, complete with their spidery inhabitants, was an addition that I made thanks to the GizzA Gacha at the latest round of Lost & Found... OH and then there was the ghosts that snuck in and started dancing around as I played along with Apocalyptica's Bittersweet Song - these Ghosts are available from Nantra, just a little F.Y.I there!
I wanted to make my body look equally as sad as the scene surrounding me, the result can be seen in a close-up below but I think the resulting close-up photo will be my new profile photo too LOL... I love this picture quite a lot LOL...

Can you see why? Her sad eyes almost seem real! This has to be one of my favourite pictures I've taken of Rudh in a LONG time! It's a lot of layers of make-up, and I am so glad that we can use 5 different layers - especially now that I'm wearing a mesh body and therefore can use all my tattoo layers on my face hehe... I've used a lot of tattoos from antielle to build up this look... The HSotD Mystery Salt & Ice Wound created the base, then I added some Smeared Makeup which gave me that mascara tears and ruined lipstick look, before slicing my mouth open just a little with the Kuchisake Onna wound... OH I might have done it just a little too much so I stitched my mouth shut after all that with some Ama Deadly Silence Stitches! Dressing it only with some simple piercings and a noose from Remarkable Oblivion...
My sons reaction was "What have you done to yourself?" Does it make me look a little too twisted perhaps?! LOL...

The Gachas bring out the Demons...

Gacha mania has hit SL once again... Although there are so many events based on the art of the Gacha now days, and each one is like a crazy addiction feeder for the gamblers amongst us, there is still and is likely to always be one that springs into the mind of a vast majority of SL'ers... The Arcade has started for it's September outing... 
Getting into the event itself is nigh on impossible at the moment - trust me HellBone spent almost 4 hours trying yesterday to no avail, yet the gacha markets are open and are slowly filling with goodies that people do not want or need. My favourite of those being the relocated market that was The Pea, to a new location of Gachaopolis... If you're lucky though you will find the inner demons of the shoppers coming out to play here... People push and shove, people stand as if they are ready to pounce on anything new and people let the inner greed demons take control... I should know, I was one of them today!! 

My inner demon doesn't actually look all that scary but she's not wearing very much... Stream-lined for speed shopping... A tiny Unforgiven Bodysuit from LE FORME and some stomping boots from A&Y that are perfect for squishing the people that get in her way, that's all this shopping demon needs! Her accessorising with the ezura spiked collar and added an extra eye from HollyWeird and a wig from (red) Mint.... Though my favourite aspect of this outfit is the AMAZING Sanderson's Gloves from Jian... I am in love with them, and have been since I bought them at The Fantasy Collective, I can guarantee this will not be the last that you see of these babies, they are going to be perfect for all different kinds of Rudhish crazy dressing up!  
Lastly by by no means least I had to add two big statements to match my feelings about the Gacha Demons... Firstly STOP! The table is a Paper Moon Release for The Fantasy Collective, but it's shot up look really makes me feel like I did after the yardsale yesterday LOL... Beaten up by the shovers and a little bit more tired than I am after a normal day of shopping... The Syringe with it's green shot of Pain - a Katat0nik release by the way - is something that I will be bringing, unless people learn to be nicer to each other... Gacha yardsaling doesn't need to be like the sales in RL, just chillax and remember The Arcade lasts a WHOLE MONTH! We don't need to rush lol... Maybe if you're lucky I'll bring my Pleasure Syringe instead!

Missed a damn good Romp...

I am supposed to be working, but have absolutely no interest in doing anything remotely work related... I just want to curl up and read a book, preferably tucked up in a warm blanket... It's cold for May... It should be getting warmer, not wintry again!
However, I've been such a good girl lately that for once I feel like doing something a little less PG and a little more kinky... So maybe the book would have to wait?! It's time to be a little naughty... What a collection of toys I have to chose from LOL...

Toys sound much more fun YAY... Some of these toys look like things I want to get my hands on in RL, not gonna tell you which but I'll leave you guessing... Problem is, I haven't played with at least one of them in SO LONG that the event which it was featured in has now closed... STILL you can get this special toy at the main store, you know you want to LOL... I'm talking about the Naughty Love Paddle from yumyums, the paddle is available in a few different colours and there is also a tattoo you can wear to make it look like the heart has been spanked into your skin... All of the other toys were things I had buried in my hoard... I couldn't choose a favourite, and I won't be telling you which of any I use but a girl's gotta have a toy collection lol, this is my SL one hehe... 
The outfit is made up of old and new things too... I love my shorts, but the BAT lingerie set that I am wearing with it is a release from Static for this round of Suicide Dollz. They seemed to fit perfectly together with my awesome new ankle boots from Riske - I bought these a while back at the Dark Style Fair but they got lost in my hoard until now LOL... I really need to clean that up!

OK so I mangled the nursery rhyme just a - well a lot - but it fitted so well with the feeling of my photo that I couldn't resist. The backdrop of the photo was the entire reason I managled the nursery rhyme but I will blame it on the store that I am wearing a LOT of my outfit from today - SongBird - as it was their home location which provided the woods to pose in hehe...
The outfit, in fact a lot of this look, can be grabbed at the store that is SongBird, although you may not find all of it at the main store as yet. The Outfit is called Blood Doll - it's a new release that you can pick up at a new event called The Vampire Chronicles Event - and you can get it with or without blood. Actually, while I am thinking about the new event, you can also grab yourself the bite mark - from SongBird - at the same event. I also have SongBird socks on... The Five Pointed Stockings were a past event release but they were just too good not to wear with this outfit!
As per usual I went to town accessorising the look I had put together, from the crazy Carnivorous Jaw - created by Contraption that is one of my FAVOURITE items in my hoard - to the three necklaces - available top to bottom at Tabou Irresistible, 7mad;Ravens and [Fetch] - and even remembering that if the teeth weren't enough to scare you in the forest, then maybe an Axe might come in handy...

Just remember, if you go down to the woods today, you have been warned AND avoid people that will smile at you...

Did someone call the Steampunk Doctor?

Certain genre styles have always been a bit of a mystery to me, I cannot seem to work out how to make them work, if you understand my meaning. I've tried to dress my dolly in other styles - I even tried an urban street style once and cracked myself up so hard that I had to change again hehe - but one of those styles I never get quite right is Steampunk!
It shouldn't be hard, it's Victorian Gothic mixed with the Industrial theme of the historical period. I tend to buy a lot of clothing in a similar style anyway, but I guess I just combine my look differently?!
Still this time I think I have hit the nail on the head... Is there anyone out there that can tell me honestly?

The look was started all because of a romper suit from ImmateriA... Seriously Naenia likes to make me test myself, thank you for that Nae hehe... The outfit itself is called Agatha Sprockette, it includes the headband with it's adorable light bulb shaped wire decoration, and you can grab this look now from the current round of The Instruments. I teamed the outfit with a simple, and yet very well matched although I don't think that it was intentional, pair of boots from lassitude & ennui. These are available in various colours from the Birthday round of We <3 RP... Happy Birthday We <3 RP!!
Though, as per usual, it was the accessories that I went to town on... I just hope they work well with the theme, and that they haven't made it a little confusing hehe...
The accessories kinda gave the look a strange doctorish twist, like something from an evil movie, as I hid behind a Hell Mask from the [BODY FACTORY], whilst clutching my new doctors style bag from nefarious inventions - which you can grab for yourself at The Dark Style Fair 2... I don't normally buy bags in SL, I am an advocate of collecting them in RL but for some reason in SL they have just never been on my radar, then I saw this one... I FELL IN LOVE WITH IT. I HAD TO HAVE IT. NOTHING WOULD STOP ME lol... I even fought lag for this bag... Shows dedication right?!
I wore not one but three necklaces with this look too... Get me I am so cool wearing more than one right lol... I had a choker from Kibitz, a Key Necklace from DRD and even a Tag from 7mad;Ravens - all of which I would happily say are some of my go-to stores for things - just to mark that I was a Beast. Possibly akin to Mr Hyde?!
Last but by no means least, the monster in me needed a familiar... I searched high and low for something that seemed even a little monsterous, and found the perfect thing... At Oneword this month, you can find yourself in the darkness, the most adorable little iBat - you need to check The Horror booth but it's there - and how can you resist something with such pretty eye?!

Runic Demonic Magic

It's time for a little colour... Something to brighten up the days after the celebrations are dying down from the recent National Holiday that passed in Holland to make the anniversary of Liberation from WWII... I felt a need to do something bright to celebrate... Somehow that brightness ended up being a sparkly Demon...
Not that there is anything wrong with that of course... Why shouldn't Demons be bright and sparkly... In fact the creation of Magic could be any colour, right?!

This is one of those good Demons - if they ever did exist - casting colourful magic as a Demonic Priestess... Originally when I put the outfit together she was far from the good - almost Disneyfied - Demon you see here... I had planned that she would be dark, evil, deadly, but sometimes things don't work out as planned and you get RAINBOWS hehe...
The Skin and Horns were the basis of this look, straight from the mind of Aggie - possibly why it became a rainbow look - and the store that is Stargazer Creations, the Diabolica Demoness Avatar comes with a lot more than you can see here... 4 different skin variations - each with or without that blood veiny look - Hair, Hooves and even Wings complete the set, so it is totally worth heading to Totally Top Shelf for, but you know me I love to mix and match...
SO when I stumbled upon some of the Runic items in my hoard I knew I would be making a look to go with this Demoness using them... I had an old but still much loved head dress from [TfAtN] that had been stashed away which I was lucky to be able to team with something newer and something brand new from Paper Moon. The first I remembered was the Runic Necklace which had been a past event release, but what I had to wear to go with that was just PERFECT!
The Runic Cult Sacrifice is part of a set of items released just for The Fantasy Faire this year, and as well as being available in gold or silver, you can get different parts - poses are available too - to make complete scenes. I wore the sacrifice outfit but there is also a priest and priestess version too...
All it takes is a set of runes, a demonic aura and it's time to start cooking up a little magic...
