Do you play Croquet?

Things are crazy in my household at the moment. My pain in the butt, whom I love muchly, hubby was operated on yesterday and though he's home he is in a lot of pain. I've been allowed to take a few days off so that I can look after him which so far has been fairly OK... He is a little high on the good kind of drugs, but it's me that seems to be stuck in my own tiring little Wonderland, I'm running around all over the place doing things for him... I finally managed to get a little time to rest and so I ended up finding a Wonderland that was a little less stressful... 

What to do while I'm here to relax? Anyone fancy a game of croquet? I always used to love the idea of the flamingo croquet that Alice played with the Queen of Hearts in the Disney version... I wanted to play with the croquet mallets so badly because they looked like heaps of fun... So in the gardens of Wonderland I'm going to ask, DO YOU PLAY CROQUET?!

Let the Music Take You...

I've had a long day at work but fancied spending a little time on my own to write something and let off some steam... 
I got soaked on my way home today, so now I'm sat curled under a blanket, listening to some soft music that will make me happier and find myself singing along...

When you hear that favourite song, it alters the mood and no matter how you are feeling it can be hard not to sing along... The first few notes just hit right... 
For me there are lots of songs that remain my favourites but no matter my mood if I hear "Wash it all away" by Five Finger Death Punch, or Take That's "Make this life yours" - in fact ANYTHING by Take That really - I will be much happier when the song is done... It always makes me laugh when I tell people my two favourites are Take That and Five Finger Death Punch...

The Arachne Queen

Spent the day spring cleaning my house in RL a little bit, my parents are coming to visit me this weekend and so I HAVE to get my space all spick and span for the proverbial Royal Visit... 
There has been a problem or two whilst cleaning today though, I realised that my home has been harbouring unwanted guests... THERE ARE SPIDERS IN MY DARK CORNERS!!!! I nearly had to move out... 
Rudh on the other hand was more than willing to bask in their praise, she let things get to her head a little more than she perhaps should have... She became their Queen!

Everyone thinks of their home as their castle, and now that we have free loading tennants, Rudh plans on taking that thought to the extreme... She's going to let these little friends move in fully, fill her castle - which is actually an old rare item from a MINIMAL Gacha collection,  Westwing Castle - with eggsacs, dinner bodies and their remnants - items from Botanical - to make the place feel just that little bit cosier! 
The Spider Queen has crowned herself with the Arachne Crown - a creepy release from Evil Baby - and she will rule over the arachnids in the darkened halls...

Wandering in Wonderland

 Brain is a fuzzy place right now and I don't know how to correct it... I guess I need to give it a few days and let my mind calm down! I guess though while I'm going through that I will let my mind slip away to somewhere happy, so that I don't have to think about real life.. Maybe I'll take a trip to join my friend Alice, in her special place... Today I think I'll head to Wonderland... 

Wonderland hasn't been the same since Alice took over, but I'm not sure it's worse than it was with the Queen of Hearts having control... The cute little animals are still there, like the White Rabbit and even the rare forest glass creature... 
Ensuring that she has a bottle of Drink Me Potion to help herself with the bigger/smaller transformations, she headed through the eye garden gate and out into Wonderland... What will she find in wonderland? Maybe there will be more cakes at a tea party, she'd like to let go and celebrate an Unbirthday or two...

Just WOW!

It is the middle of the week, and I've been working my little butt off , but I wanted to step back a minute and drift off into another world... I closed my eyes and let myself drift away... The sparkles happened, the colours happened and BOOM... WOW... 

In my sleepy daze, I found myself drifiting off to a place of magic, mystery and even a little sparkle... I was drifitng amongst the stars and dancing on the planets - for someone that hates aliens it's an unual thing, although I seem to get caught in the stars a lot - and I watched the colours drift past almost as if I was on a high... It was just... WOW... 
Maybe it's the glasses - they are awesome aren't they? I bought them from Ananas during the weekend sales though I've had my eye on them for a while, along with a lot of other goodies in their awesome little store. The rest is just a load of stars, planets and lovely sparkly little things...

Well Behaved Woman?!

Well Behaved Women Don't Make History... Ain't that the truth... It's always been the ones that are willing to stand apart from the crowd, stand up for what they believe in and force people to listen that are the ones history remembers. 
Being one of those women that stand out is terribly hard to do, in RL I'm a joker but it's something I hide behind. I guess in SL, Rudh being such a bad girl at times is something I hide behind too... So maybe the real me has to work harder to make history... Rudh may have it a little easier?!

Even if she doesn't make history though, Rudh will be looking stylish as she is a bad girl! 
I have to say that this is more of a Look-of -the-Day type post than any I have done recently, it's more about fashion than I'm used to, but I just LOVE this outfit!!

Mad Hatter of Chess Wonderland

When I was a little girl my mum used to read me bed time stories, never the children's books although I was introduced to Dr.Seuss very young, but more the stories that were written for older audiences. I was involved in Lewis, Tolkein and Carroll... I LOVED the fantasy worlds that they created where animals talked and magic was all over the place, as I grew older I loved the subtler things I'd missed as a child, and I guess now days I count my love for these collections as the reason I'm so crazy about creating fantasy characters for myself. 
This time it's Wonderland... I seem to go to Wonderland a lot more than any other fantasy realm, maybe because it's so crazy... I mean just look at what I found there today?! 

When I went to explore the amazing location that is the Chess Wonderland, I was minding my own business when a different type of Mad Hatter appeared, this one is more Psycho than mad it seems... 
Covered in scars, drinking tentacle tea and carrying the weirdest Wonderland inhabitants she looked at me through dead eyes, dancing a little so that her pretty dress moves - a dress from Oubliette at anyBody.

Time to Smoke

As a little insight into the RL person behind the avatar, I will admit that I smoke. I also live just outside of Amsterdam and so have a ready source of a different kind of thing to smoke - although I'm not actually keen on smoking it and prefer having it baked into something if I choose to partake in the weed high. 
There is a bit is a bit of a drugs culture in SL, people seem free to express things and therefore - like with many other RL taboos - the drug culture is not something that is seen as prohibited. Living in Holland, I know that laws in regards to drugs are somewhat more relaxed than other places in the world - I can see the difference even when I think of England - but I still find myself a little amazed that I can walk into a bar in SL and be like "Oh I've been in a bar like this in RL" even if it's decorated with Drug related paraphernalia... Bars like this one...

This is the bar at the very photogenic location that is Woodbury Falls, but the real reason that I wanted to chat with you today was not about the location... LOL there I go again, getting distracted in something random, it was in fact about my outfit! YES - another Look-of-the-Day... 
The dress is one with a story behind it. I saw this shine dress on Flickr and liked it lots, I went to Trés Chic - where the dress is currently available until May 5th - and wanted to try it on, BUT there was no demo available. Sad faced I contacted the designer who was so gracious and friendly in helping, I really commend her customer assistance, and she was really helpful. I got to try on the dress!!! At first I was a bit worried, it wasn't really as I'd imagined it might look on me, but after dressing it up with some adorable accessories - like the Denim Jacket from 'M.Birdie, and the Hat with this Asuka Truth Wig - it seemed perfect! Add to that, this awesome location and voilà... LOOK OF THE DAY!!!

Well it's the last day of December, the last day of 2015 and I am in a cottage in the woods with very limited internet access and a mother-in-law that could be tied to the nearest tree if she keeps making some of the stupid complaining comments that she has been making since we arrived... 
It's weird, I've only been away from SL for a few hours but I miss everyone in it already... Tonight should be one that you spend partying with friends and having a great time... Something like this perhaps...

A fun night out with the girls of the Gators would be a damn good idea right now... Dancing, a few drinks, and a fun night in a biker bar... I love a biker bar, you never need to dress up too much like a girlie girl, you can be yourself and that is just what we did! Or should I say would do, if I was at home and able to be there with the girls... 
My New Years Eve will possibly be more relaxing, something a little more like this...

Putting my feet in a hot soothing foot bath - in this case courtesy of the one from Tres Blah - and chillaxing in my jammies. I'm reading a damn good book and the bed here isn't too bad, so I guess that is all I need... Maybe a gag for my Mum-in-Law too?!

The Malediction of a Demonic Nun

It's been a month already, but today is the last day that the Gator MC Halloween Maze is open... I cannot quite believe that the maze has been there this long already, it's beyond belief... Feels like only yesterday the maze opened but closing day is finally here... 
On Sunday night we had a little closing party, it was open to the public but it seemed like only Gators were present hehe, not that we minded it was like having a private Rob Zombie Concert hehe... So once again I had the chance to dress up! I got dressed as something that might offend people, and I'm sorry if it does, but I was a dead demonic Nun! I blame the hair LOL... Some said it was scary seeing me as a nun, others said it was hot... I was just enjoying letting my inner Dead Girl out for Mr Zombie hehe... 

At a little graveyard in a place called Windswept, a figure sat on a gravestone whispering words of malediction - thanks to Le Poppycock - a figure that on closer inspection looked like a sister of faith, but when you looked even closer there was something more dark angel than light about her... 
The only sign of anything resembling a Nun being the way she styles her hair - this Asylum hair is a current group gift for Spellbound by the way - and the cross that she wears around her neck - an old by favourite from Maxi Gossamer - which actually seems to have been used to burn her skin at some point looking at the mark on her head?! She definitely does not look like a nun in her chosen style of dress... The smallest PVC dress she could find it seems adorns her curves, while her legs are clad in some sexy boots - r2 and BAX goodies if you must know - but damn this Living Dead Girl must have a penchant for being naughty... If this was all in aid of a visit from Mr Rob Zombie, he's one lucky rock star hehe... Though I don't think even he would have been expecting this...

Stuff my Inventory with Photographers Things

As a blogger, there are certain perks to the job... I'm sure you may have realised this by now... But I ALWAYS feel way too shy to apply for things, and often when I am given the chance to become a part of a blogging team I find myself a little nervous about the looks I pull together and the things I say in my blog journal... So when this new hunt came up, and I was given the opportunity to be a part of the team I knew I would have to create something a little special... I LOVE what I created for my first hunt based post hehe... 

The Photographers Hunt - Stuff my Inventory Hunt - starts today and runs until October 31st with a brilliant theme dedicated to the Photographers and wannabe Photographers out there... Poses, Props, Furniture and Décor dominate the theme, and with each prize only costing a mere 5L there is so much worth going to seek in this hunt!
This photo features a couple of the gifts, but there will be more of these to come, just to warn you hehe... I've never talked about a texture before but if you look closely at the background, behind all the Rudhish stuff you will see a gorgeous swirly pattern... This is in fact a hunt prize - well part of anyhow - from Spyralle, that offers some gorgeous but simple textures which could be useful for a HUGE variety of things! The pose I am using is also a Photographers Hunt prize, from HopScotch this time... The Paper Garden is a gorgeous prop with a few poses to chose from, and although you cannot see it in this picture - well not clearly anyhow - the whole thing is made from Cardboard hehe... 
The outfit that I chose to wear is something simple - a skirt that is part of a set from SAKIDE which you can grab at The Fantasy Collective, and an older but favourite shirt of mine from Razor, that I accessorised with a pretty Jewelled Hand of Fatima Necklace from Maxi Gossamer... Yet I want to mention the hair I'm wearing here too real fast... This is an Adoness style called Loki. It's not a brand new release BUT there is a hunt running through the Adoness store at the moment and all of the hair prizes have been specially recoloured to limited edition colours... If you love that alternative, half head style look, then you will not want to miss the Adoness Hair Shedding Hunt!

Miss Vain Glutton - Belle of the Sin Ball

The Sins have taken over, there is a festival in their honour for the second year in a row and this time they are not holding back... Spread out over one sinful sim, this is the place to share in the debauchery - while at the same time still retaining your modesty somewhat hehe... There are so many amazing creations that will tickle your tastebuds - and if you're anything like me have you reaching for your wallet really fast!
Each sin has it's own designated area, although the goodies you can find within could sometimes have a cross over for multiple sins, and each has been beautifully decorated to suit the basis of the theme... I LOVE the Desperate Housewives feel of Envy, the Casino set-up of Greed and don't even get me started about how much I love the Gluttony area...
I went a little crazy buying things... Then when I was putting an outfit together, one came to life so vividly, and it just screamed to me what the sins might look like if they were personified, that I simply had to share it with you! Let me introduce you to Miss Vain Glutton...

The Victorian Pin-up of the Sin family, she's the daughter of Gluttony and Vanity... Photographed outside the family's gorgeous old Victorian Villa on the Isle of Serendipity, the delapidation of the place becoming evermore apparent as the Sins take hold...
Her dress in the style of her Vain mother. A beautiful Valentina E Pinup Corset Gown in a pale lilac colour, that simply screams "Look at Me!" - which can be found in four different colours at the Shopping District which makes up the Vanity location of the Festival of Sin.
The mask that hides her hideous face is one of her fathers - at least you think it hides her face, perhaps the straps are a disguise to make you think her terrifying Gluttonous Void is truely a mask - we shall never know. The mask created by her Glutton father just makes it that little bit easier! You too can get your hands on his ContraptioN at the Dining Area that is the Gluttony location at the Festival of Sin.  
The remnants of her childhood washed away, as Miss Vain Glutton emerged into society, the belle of the Sin Ball, yet she - like me in my RL I guess - cannot and will not totally give up her childhood plushie friend... As she stands before the old villa to catch the last of the days sunlight rays on her skin, she squeezes her childhood friend - an Angry Mouse Doll from the Katat0nik store. People tried to replace it with a new one - stealing her plushie was a challenge for many a heroic young gentleman - they even offered her the exact same toy from the Gacha Casino in the Greed location at the Festival of Sin, but seriously her father gave her rows of razor sharp teeth for a reason...
Currently she is only a glutton for chocolate, but don't make her mad, or she may develop a taste for something meatier!

Through the Stars, Carried by the Books...

The Royal Visit is over... HellBone will be dropping my mother off at the airport today, and although it was a fairly unplanned event it has been such a lovely few days - busy but lovely - yet now I am SO worn out that I could use a holiday LOL...
Maybe I will just spend the weekend drifiting off into dreamland, oooh perhaps with a good book?! Or maybe I will let dreamland be some crazy photo session in SL?! Who knows? Right now all I can say is that damn I am TIRED!!! I love having family visit from the UK, but seriously it wears a girl out!!!
Maybe if I just close my eyes right now, I can drift off into dreamland...

Ah well that didn't take long to accomplish did it? LOL... Dreamland was closer than I realised all I needed to do was grab the strings of the flying books and head to the stars... Flying books are SO the perfect way to travel! If you haven't tried it, you really should!! Quiet, with a story thrown in for good measure! While we are on the subject of Collabor88 though, it seems that a lot of this dreamland journey passes through what we should refer to as a Collabor88 phase!
As I was pulled through the keke and Half-Deer stars, my Dreamy Dress - from Pixicat - became cosmic, I had to point my toes to avoid my Reign slippers from slipping of my feet. Hearing a noise in the stars beside me, my gaze fell upon a rather strange looking cloud... Did that cloud just blink at me?! Strange how much it looks like a kitten, a little MishMish Cloudie kitten!
I must be having a moment, perhaps I should stop drinking coffee or maybe there was something in the dinner last night that didn't agree with me, or maybe it was the strange and ephemeral glow of the new jewel that was crafted by the wizard of jewellery that is Maxi Gossamer. I wonder what kind of spells it contains?
Can you tell that I'm tired, my mind wanders off into it's own little fantasies... My sparkly imageination takes over and I'm off to another world... I wonder where I will land?!

1000 Posts take us to Wonderland!

First off I want to start this post with a HUGE announcement!!!

Yes that's right, as of this post I can officially say "HOLY CRAP! 1,000 Posts!" That's a massive milestone for me... I never ever felt that I would reach that level when I first started blogging. I always thought it was a fad that would be over quickly, that I'd grow tired of things - I've never been very good at writing a journal - but I found reasons to keep coming back... Challenges had me hooked, and I managed to get myself a few very supportive sponsors as well as some awesome readers, but the best aspect of my blog for me is that it has just become so therapeutic... No matter how bad my day has been I've always found solace in taking a photo and then writing about it here...
For a special post, that will always be special as my 1000th post, I am going to take everyone onto a trip into my favourite fantasy land - no not SL lol - Wonderland here we come!!!

I have always loved Alice in Wonderland, in fact her adventures through the looking glass were favourites of mine too, and SL sometimes seems like a wonderland all of it's own... We can be anything we want to be in SL, and there are so many crazy things to see, I'm sure without looking too hard you will be able to have your own adventures just like Alice did...  
I've turned Rudh into my own weird and twisted version of Alice... The entire reason for this ramble is due to the outfit that was offered in the Alice in Sexyland hunt recently - yes I know it's over but I was on holiday! - from adoness, and painted my face with a pretty eyeshadow from Zibska - which you can get as a prize in The Body Art Hunt... I had to, however, make her less cute and a little more sinister by combining my Alice with an evil Cheshire Cat - doesn't she have a wicked grin!
What a way to celebrate my 1000th post, my 1000th ramble and my 1000th reason to say thank you for reading my ramblings, thank you for following me and thank you for all of the lovely comments through my rambling history!!! I hope you will be here with me to see my 2000th post hehe...

A New Good Witch of Oz

I'm still on a roll with playing around with things that are a little different... Today I wanted to go in a totally different direction and do something a little pretty, a little fantasy, and possibly a little crazy...
Well I personally think that I have achieved just what I wanted with that goal... The look I chose is pretty and a little fantasy, and the place that I went to take the photo made not only myself but one of my dear friends go a little crazy - and that was totally unintentional.

The location I re-discovered and decided would be a fun background was the munchkin land at The Magic of Oz... It's just so cute, filled with fantastic colours, not to mention a super fun trip down the yellow brick road lol... Regardless, the location was what caused madness this time. Lil and I were talking during our early morning coffee chat and while I was there photographing a certain Oz based song - "We're off to see the Wizard" if you must know lol - popped into my head and there was no shutting me up LOL...
From the look of things though, my dress up today saw Rudh get turned into a new Good Witch of Oz... I'm not sure good witch would work for me, but anything is worth a try LOL...
The look was started because I had an outfit with the MOST AMAZING looking sheer cape from Stargazer Creations - it comes with an outfit called Priestess Cassandra that was available at Create Your Own Tarot - although I'm not sure if the event is still running or if it has closed for the month *facepalms*... The sparkling irridesence of that cape was offset by a pair of similarly irridescent Wishbox wings, I then dressed the rest of me down a little bit, wearing a cute but simple Faelynn outfit from SAKIDE.
To give this new good witch a mode of transport - I mean Glinda has her bubbles so I needed something - I rescued these amazing Huntress Panthers from Alchemy. They are gacha releases and have thus meant I spent far too much money trying to free them but I feel they make the perfect companions for a Witch of Oz...

Sometimes I drift into fantasy...

This time I'm a mermaid... I've told you before it's usually one of three things with one being more predominant than the others, I'm either a Living Dead Dolly, a Mermaid - without a tail I might add - or a fae of some kind...
I LOVE playing dress up, it's one of those amazing things that SL can do for me. I can play dress up and head into the world without fear of looking like a freak! If people in my SL think that they are in for a shock because I will let them know exactly how much I care lol...
Still I dont think too many people would be averse to meeting a pretty mermaid like me... I mean I can walk on land, though never too far from the waters edge and I dont smell like sea weed LOL...
Today however, little mermaid me went close to the shore to help a school of baby Half-Deer Flowerhead Goldfish learn to swim before they disappear into the mystical waters surrounding Cadair Idris!

I will be honest with you, I've had this look pulled together for a while, but it has taken me until now to think about doing something with it... I fell in love with this look while I was at not one but two events that have since closed their doors or changed their themes, but it's never too late to share a look is it?!
The main outfit part of this outfit is a lingerie set from Violent Seduction. This was a release for the long since closed Burlesque event, and as soon as I saw it I KNEW I needed to have a set. I just took a while trying to work out which colour I wanted to wear! As it happened, I didn't really need to worry, the clashingness of the pale pink lingerie with the vibrant Jewel Hair - that I picked up from [Runaway] at a past round of The Fantasy Collective - which I teamed with the awesome and very hard to get but gifted to me in the end Aventine Horns from Half-Deer (Thank you SHINY!!! xxx) As simple mermaid jewellery I wore a set of old but still very cute pearls from Maxi Gossamer and a long since retired seahorse necklace from [glow studio].  
Just one quick stop for a snack hehe - the Evie's Closet Catch of the Day Mer Munchies are YUMMY lol - and a little friend to hitch a ride, and this Mermaid was ready to help her little baby friends before they disappeared to the mystical waters!

The Road to Nowhere...

Before snow takes over fully, I want to stay revelling in one of my favourite times of the year - Autumn - just for a little bit longer... Just a little while? PLEASE??? 
I know that everywhere is already gearing up for a white Christmas... COME ON GUYS December only just started it's still WAYYYYYY too early for that isn't it?? 

I wanted somewhere I could take a walk through SL and enjoy the natural colours. The sun has been avoiding the trees over here as of late and the bright autumn colours have already started to fade out, I had to find somewhere in SL... I was lead to a place called Starfall, by the discovery of photos from a landscape blogger - Ziki Questi... Starfall is quite simply for anyone who loves Autumn, absolutely gorgeous! A Photographers Dream!
I was all dressed up for a walk to nowhere - as the sign pointed out - and spent a good few hours just rambling and looking at all of the pretty hidden places this place has to offer...
My big, warm, soft, new coat from Foxes, that I picked up at No. 21, just seemed to protect me from the wind, whilst the Quinn Boots from Reign made for excellent walking boots...
