Let Her Eat Cake!

Well it's been a difficult few days for me, life is pretty quiet here in Holland, and there's not much happening in my working life - although I did just get given the weekend off! - but I want to find things to keep me occupied from slipping into a bit of a RL depression right now. I know that there people with worse situations in the world, but I just feel lonely due to missing my RL family! 
So it's Thursday and I'm totally free until Tuesday next week, what am I going to do to make things feel better... LET THEM EAT CAKE!!

I know she was not one of the best examples of monarchy throughout history, but there are some times in life when a girl can totally get behind the sentiments of what Marie Antoinette said... YES she wasn't smart for suggesting the people in her kingdom should eat cake when they couldn't even afford the basics and were starving, but come on... IT'S CAKE!!! Cake I feel, could always perk my mood up and make me a happier Rudhie! 
So I LOVED this dress in the MariaAntoniete Gacha from UNA... It comes in a range of colours, but being a gacha collection you gotta get lucky to win the colours you desire! I found this perfect pink set matched with the dress my Fantastique Frenchie - from Hextraordinary - had chosen to wear, and while we were posing with all this cake she looked adorable, until she decided to put her face in it!!! 
Still I won't be too mad at her, in the words of Marie Antoinette, "let her eat cake" and "bon appetite!"

Burn It Down and Walk Away!

Since SL is down, and we've had to postpone the Rob Zombie concert that was scheduled at the Gator Sim today it means Rudh is all dressed up with no where to go and no supervision from me... She's totally unsupervised people and who knows what chaos could be caused! 
She's gonna burn down the house - or maybe it's a church at The Forgotten that the little Living Dead Girl is living in - and head out to wreak some havoc! YAY for demonic havoc!!! 

I guess it's kinda a look of the day though, I have to say "how cute is this outfit?!" It's a Gacha Collection release from the combined forces of Tentacio and PSYCHO.Byts for the current round of The Epiphany, and as usual with these joint forces releases it's ADORABLE!!! The Beatrix Hell Pact Collection includes various colours of dresses with a whole heap of different accessories including my cell phone and raven friend! He's such a nosy little bird, look at him checking out my messages, I bet he's wondering why I've taken so many adorable pics of my Hallow Pups - from Foxwood!!

Nightmare about 2 Blocks Over from Elm Street

Some days I want to just disappear into the dark... Today is one of those days! It's a long story that I won't go into but I'm going to use my blog as a distraction today... Something to take my mind off my own dark thoughts and into someone else's! 
Someone in the spirit of Halloween, Mr Nightmare himself, Freddie Kruger! Yet of course, me being me, I needed to Rudhify him a little so today's nightmare is being brought to you by Rudhie Kruger!

Let's call it Nightmare about 2 blocks over from Elm Street LOL... It's kinda scary but not in the same way?! 
I took this picture when I was wandering around at the Forgotten, Rudh was dressed as a Freddie tribute, with her own interesting twist... For example, instead of blades for his gloves, she's taking a leaf out of Edward Scissorhands book and using scissors... Yet she's still managed to damage herself by cutting too close - thanks to a Doe Brains Hairstyle! 
Would you believe though, that this whole outfit came together because of the Cropped Sweater - a new epoch release for this month's N21 event - I saw the plaid and it just developed into Rudhie Kruger!

Cheer Captain of Monster High

Did ya ever see a children's tv show called Monster High? Honestly, I think I may have mentioned it before, but if I was a kid again I'd love it... Heck I love it now and I'm supposed to be an adult! It's based on the children of horror monsters, so there's a Frankie Stein and a Draculaura - for example. They even have a collection of DOLLS! Seriously, why couldn't I have had dolls like this when I was a kid? Then it would have been a case of "Barbie? Who the F**k is Barbie?" 
Anyway, I got my hands on a few items recently, that I never thought of putting together, until miraculously it seemed to just happen, and well... I got the cartoon theme song in my head, so the picture HAD to come to life... Let's head to Monster High and meet captain of the cheer squad... Rudhie!

Deadly Sirens in Cages

Every now and then, if you're lucky, you find yourself being presented with an opportunity. How you may use that opportunity is entirely up to you, but sometimes it's best to grab the bull by the horns and cling on tight to see where the opportunity takes you... Today is one of those times for me, I've been asked to submit some of my ramblings for the awesome Ride Out Magazine. I'll admit I'm a little nervous about it, it's a magazine by SL Bikers, for SL Bikers - that shouldn't be too difficult since I'm one of those myself - but I've been given free reign to talk about ANYTHING! That's a lot of pressure... Where should I start? What would people find interesting?! 
Since it's Halloween Season - yes Halloween is not just a day, it's an entire Season for me - I guess I will start there! The MC family that I am part of - Gators MC for those of you that don't know - are holding their 6th Annual Halloween Maze Event, which gives me the perfect excuse for my favourite past-time... Playing dress up!!! 

I've always loved creating weird and wonderful characters for myself, but Halloween is most definitely a time of year when that seems more accepted. I throw open my SL wardrobe and pull together all kinds of different looks, and OK I guess I go a little overboard sometimes but let's face it, we're all playing Second Life and we all enjoy making our avatars look interesting, be that in a sexy, or cute, or scary, or even in a bikerish kind of way. 
When it comes to costumes, there are so many available out there right now, we're spoilt for choice. I love to let my imagination run riot, picking a theme and seeing where it takes me. Whenever I'm given a chance to play dress up I guess I take it as an opportunity to grab the bull by the horns! Yet I know that's not for everyone, some people prefer the ease of buying an outfit or an avatar. No matter how you create your costumes, I love to see the creativity and the hints of your personality through your choices. 
So I guess my question for you is, what will you be this Halloween?!

Angel of Darkness

As you may have heard, yesterday was my 12th rezday... I've been through 12 long years of fun and laughter, crazy silliness and drama, and even though some of it has hurt I've got to say I wouldn't change any of it... Even on a day that was supposed to be a little special to me, there was drama, it's something you kinda come to expect when you're in SL, there was no pomp, no ceremony, and I didn't get to be queen of the day, but after looking back, I don't really mind... I DO however want to have a little rant to start my 12th year with a bang, so if you're not interested in reading, just look at the pretty picture of the Angel of Darkness, and then move on LOL... 

If you're going to carry on reading, you have been warned... 
Once again I'm on the subject of people that hide behind their avatar and think that they can get away with the most stupid actions just because SL is not real! It's something that, although I've been here as long as I have, still somehow seems to surprise me. This time it came from a place that feels more like a stab with a knife than one I've had in a long time... 
I have come to the realisation that I'm far too trusting of people in SL at times, there are so many people who welcome you into their arms and as soon as they are bored they have no issues in casting you aside. It's even worse when you find out that what you've been told unravels like a pack of lies, faster than a yo-yo uncurls. 
If that wasn't enough you're left feeling like the world's biggest fool for supporting that person so much. You spend weeks, telling everyone "no no, he's not malicious like that, he's just an idiot" yet you come to the realisation you've just been duped and once they have what they want, they laugh at you. 
From now on, I'm sticking to the philosophy of be careful who you trust, be careful who you let into your world and remember that what you tell someone when you're good friends may come back to bite you on the ass when you're not. 
To the guy that caused this - I'm not sure you're reading anyway but on the off chance - I welcomed you into my world, I accepted you as a big brother, and now because you decide to get with a woman who hurt the family you once loved you made your new bed... You've not only hurt me, but people you cared about, you've made innocent people cry with your desperation for what you want, and I truly hope you're happy, because you've left a nasty scar...

The Embalmer

Recently I found myself inspired by an outfit that I knew would get me into trouble. It's not that it was naughty, although HellBone did tell me I looked like a Victorian Hooker LOL, but because I was SOOOOOOO determined to get this outfit from a gacha machine... Those things are soooo dangerous, I always find myself thinking "Just one more try"... 
However, I got lucky, and once I had the outfit on, this idea just screamed to life... The Embalmer, getting off a train and heading in search of the latest rich man wanting to be around forever... 

Little do they know, that the embalmer likes to take a prize for the work she does preserving them... 
She's stepped off the train at Elysion. Wandering down the snowy streets, in search of her next "client" - or is that victim? - she carries her bag of tools - from nefarious inventions - and a second bag that on the outside seems innocent, but is in fact her bag - from David Heather - containing all of the eyeballs collected from those who want to be around forever...
The reason for this look coming to life, was because of a dress that I needed to get my hands on from Silvan Moon Designs - at the current Fantasy Gacha Carnival - this set is the rare black, but the dress and gloves and jacket all come in multiple colours that can be mixed and matched!!!

Don't feel the Cold...

A few years ago now I was taking part in a challenge called Second Life Disney Bounding... You had to create a look based on a chosen character for the week, and even though the challenge has finished I've recently been playing around characters again, not intentionally creating looks for the challenge but realising that it's my versions of these characters and very much enjoying it!
A while ago, at the last Tannenbaum Christmas Market, I bought something that is VERY much the outfit of a Disney Princess... I even chose to buy it in the right colour for said Disney Princess... So today, I'm going to Rudh as Elsa of Frozen!!! 

One of the most popular Disney films of recent years, Frozen is something that many many people know about... I did enjoy it, but I have to admit that I prefer Moana! 
My version of Elsa is a little darker, she's wounded and burnt by the snow and branded as a Monster, yet she still seems to be able to smile when Olaf comes to play... He took her for a walk at the lovely winter gardens at Moochie! 
I love this dress, and the ice shoes, they are previous releases from RIOT - for the dress - and Garbaggio - and her little friend is a 25L release from my hubby's store Hogs & Cart Wheels!

The Dead Exorcise The Dead

Halloween may be over, but there are two things that you should know... Every day in Rudh's life is somewhat Halloweenish - given that she's a living dead doll, you may have realised that by now - but also now that the Dead should be laid back to rest for another year, it's time to start a clean up operation... There's only so many dead things that can walk the earth before the trouble starts, and Rudh is a willing participant in that clean up if it means she's allowed to carry on being her dark and macabre self... 
Even if that sometimes means dressing up in an outfit that is a little outside her comfort zone... 

It´s very strange to see Rudh looking anywhere near holy, and OK this outfit from CURELESS is hardly virginal Nun, but it's a Nun all the same lol... This by the way is Sister Lilim - kinda gives the game away that it's not strictly a good girl Nun outfit right there - from CURELESS that was available at Salem, and should hopefully be available at the main store soon... Poor Sister Rudh, all wounded and burnt, but I guess that's what happens when the demonic living dead doll tries hard to hide it in a religious garb lol... 
It probably doesn't help that she's also holding a silver Cross Broken Bracelet - from Zombie Suicide - must hurt holding a cross between her teeth like that when she's such an evil being... No wonder her Demon Eyes - from Izzie's - look so angry... 
Just as a side note, I LOVE this little Broken Cross Bracelet mouthie from Zombie Suicide, and even though it's small in the photo I wanted to make sure you get to see it clearly so I have attached the ad photo below... It comes in 6 different colours and three parts - two chains and the cross - so it can be made to fit your mouth perfectly!!! Such a cute little accessory!!!

Walking the Hell Hounds

I'm still well on a roll with my Halloween costumes, they make me so happy and this time of year calls for the weird kookieness to come pouring out of my brain... Normally I try to compact the need to be weird but right now, you're getting as much as my little head can give you, which is a lot even when you consider that I've had a migraine for the last two days... 
Today the Devil child in me is getting out again... Taking her little Hell Hounds for a walk!!

Deep in the heart of The Forgotten is a series of hellish tunnels that are perfect for walking these adorable little Hell Hound Puppies... One day they will grow up into evil and macabre dealers of doom but right now, aren't they so freaking cute?!! 
This outfit, the puppies included, are actually part of a set that was made up by a brilliant pairing of Tentacio and PSYCHO.Byts for this current round of The Epiphany... I want to take a moment to say YAY PSYCHO.Byts for being included in The Epiphany, it's awesome to see how much this brand has grown and I am still as obsessed with it as I was the day I found it a few years ago!!! 
OH and while we're on the subject of The Epiphany, isn't this hair from Doe AWESOME!!! It's a release in their machine at the event and comes in Angellic or Devilish - each with the opposing style head accessory, angels get horns and devils get halos, that I admit I have decided not to wear here. 
I finished the look with some thigh High Bax Boots, an AsteroidBox Collar and some seriously bad looking Burned Heretic Wounds - from CURELESS & DISORDERLY - that may explain why she's now stuck as a demon?!

Eye See You!

A few days ago Lil and I went for a walk around The Nightmare Event, a spooky awesome and yet festive event that's perfect for this time of year and just creepy enough to get the blood pumping just a little faster. That's one of the things I LOVE about Halloween, the creepy nature of it... You should know by now that being dark and macabre has the happiest effect on me LOL... 
So anyway, one of my favourite locations of The Nightmare was the tunnel of broken doll parts... Being a Living Dead Doll myself, it felt like I was among friends hehe... 

Of course I was inspired by all the crazy following eyes, and well I'd been looking for the perfect place to take a picture of this one particular Halloween look!!!
The outfit came to life because of the discovery of this amazing bodysuit from MoonAmore... I love their stuff, the fact that they can pull together creepy and cute to make awesome just makes me a happy Rudh - hence why I'm now desperately trying to get into the Epiphany *facepalms* - but this outfit is something that I was excited to be given not so long ago... It's part of the Eyeholic Gacha Collection, which also includes these fabulous sunglasses and the adorable kitten... 
Finishing the look with a collar from AsteroidBox and a glove from Oubliette I kinda felt like a bit of a Lady Gaga again, weird I know but I cant help feeling like I was born this way...

Burning the Demoness

'Tis the month of not looking like such a crazy person when you dress a little different, and although I don't normally care what people think I'm now at the point of it's the month of Halloween and I am going to damn well use it to my advantage... I've got SO many crazy outfits, and even though I'm still shopping for normal human stuff, I just cannot help myself thinking "Nah I'll save that till next month and blog this now!!!"
Today I'm going a little demonic... I saw a dress I HAD to have it and well, the dress lead to a character in my mind, it doesn't take much hehe... 

Lurking at the Bloodlust Demon Dungeon - I warn you it's a place where the ladies are in charge, if you know what I mean - you may spot some of the little Rudh demons that are normally kept locked deep inside... It's one thing unleashing a dead doll, but a demon well that's a whole different kettle of fish! 
The dress was something I saw someone wearing on Flickr, then had to go on a mad hunt to find it... The Flame Dress comes in two different dresses, with and without flickering sparks that drift from your outfit, and is a creation by a store that I seem to know more of as a Jewellery designer than a clothing store... BEO Jewelry have released this dress at The Avenue, and it will be available there until October 20th! 
The little demon's burnt skin and tattered wings are due to the fire dress and flaming hair, but the burns are not hurting anymore though the mental scars are searing through her mind...

Cain's Demonic Nun

A few days ago I mentioned that there was some changes coming over me. A strange mark had appeared on my head and horns had appeared... Since then the changes have continued, the horns have in fact gone but I have been having some very strange and dark urges!
I keep hearing this beating of a drum in my head and having this tingling feeling shooting through me whenever I feel the slightest urge to violence - I'm not really a violent person but let's ignore that for the post shall we? LOL - I've noticed that the strange mark on my head starts to glow a little. 
Then there was the strange occurrence in the Cemetery... 

It feels like a ghost of a past life, but I found myself in a cemetery the other day - I may have been dreaming, I am not sure - I was wearing an outfit that resembled a slutty nun Halloween costume - actually a cute dress from Razor and a wig and habit from Spellbound with a choker from Livid - and was in the graveyard at the Haunted Silent Peacock Hotel... and what was weirder was the scarring that seemed to just appear all over my body like a ghost of a memory... 
It was like having an out of body experience, I watched myself force open a grave and pull out a rather strange looking weapon. Though maybe the weirdest thing I noticed was that my eyes were jet black? 
After a few hours of investigation I've come to realise that the mark and the blade are linked to Cain - the blade and the curse... 
Now to come to reality I am positively fan girling over this blade. You may remember that a while back I got excited by the Angel Blade that was created by Violetility. Well, at the time I spoke with Gwen of Violetility and I - like others it seems - asked if she'd work on a Blade of Cain to match so that there was a set of blades from based on those in the Supernatural TV Series. 
My question is, now that I have the mark and the blade, how am I ever going to get rid of them both?!

The Milkshake brings the Rudh to the Bar!

I've been more than a little bit gloomy recently, yesterday was the pinnacle of that, and so after some VERY much needed sleep last night I am trying to remain positive. It's a strange enough day for me anyway today, since it's the first Wednesday that I have been in the office in a such a long time, but after today I don't need to come into the office for 4 days!
So this morning I decided to celebrate, I treated myself to one of those fancy coffees that cost a fortune, taste good and are only ever luke warm, and wandered to work on this very cold and frosty morning...
Rudh on the other hand had ideas of her own, she was going to enjoy a day that wasn't in the minus figures, a day she could wear shorts, and although she like me started her day with a trip to the coffee house, she choose a fancy milkshake and a cookie - because calories don't affect her LOL...

Rudh's coffee house is located in the pretty city of Le Sixieme Sens, and it was here that she was able to grab one of the awesome brocante milkshakes that had been imported from The Epiphany.
For the latest round of The Epiphany, brocante have created a collection of water bottles, but I love the Milkshakes which are actually the exclusives for the event. To get your hands on these exclusives you will need to have earnt points which can be won by trading in unwanted prizes - 25 points will get you one of the Exclusive Items!
She's also lucky that even though it's freezing in RL and I end up dressed like I'm wearing my entire wardrobe, she can get away with wearing next to nothing because she never feels the cold in SL. So as I mentioned before, shorts from Addams made up part of her look for the day. They went so well with the cute Andi WorkiT Top, that I'd forced her to buy from Vinyl at this month's Collabor88.
Still maybe I should make her walk away from those enticing looking cookies, otherwise that work out top will be put to use in an actual work out LOL...

Stapling the Scars

A new year always feels like a new start, and this year like many other years that have passed I've set myself some resolution-like goals. I've mentioned one before in the post that I wrote yesterday, but there are lots of things that I want to achieve this year and I'm trying to start out optimistically!
So new year, new start, moving on forward and hoping to maintain an inner peace, I have decided that it's time to do a little revamping of things as far as Rudh is concerned too... Not yet ready for a huge change - a Bento anything for example - perhaps it's finally time to delete all the system layers and reorganise my once neat but now looking like an explosion in a clothing store inventory back to the way it should be.
Going to start with something easy - a new Profile Picture!!!

I love those plain and simple pictures that I tend to create for my profile, so I've decided to do another one. Somewhat gorey I know, but hey I'm a living dead doll right?! I know that I'm not always totally dead looking but I cannot help it when it comes to creating a profile picture, I'm drawn to that side of myself LOL...
I went to town on wounding myself this time... The scars of the last year are still in the process of healing and soon my headshot may be a little different. The scars that mutilate my one pretty face are a part of a "Shattered Existence" - playing on words with the name there lol - from last year, and what was once CURELESS & DISORDERLY - another play on words with the store owners name this time - should in time calm down to something a bit less chaotic.
Just to send a little warning, this face wound and it's staples - called Shattered Existence from CURELESS & DISORDERLY in case you hadn't guessed - it takes a little bit of patience to get the staples fitted in the right place, not that that's the fault of the designers but more because SL faces vary so much in their shape, I really suggest you make a copy before you start pulling the staples around. That having been said, I REALLY REALLY love this scar and am sure I will be wearing it much more in future.
Along with her demonic eyes and Spiked Leather Collar - from AsteroidBox - the Dead Dolly look will be gracing the front page of my profile until the scars have healed... However long that may be!

Rudhie Widow - A Rare Display Piece!

Wanted to try something a little creative today, not sure how well it worked but you should know me by now, I cannot help myself when it comes to messing around with things and trying something new. So I set out some props - some amazing haunted style goodies, and then styled myself, with a little photoshop magic I brought the two together! Not sure if it worked as well as I had hoped BUT I like it! So you get to see it, and maybe tell me what you think?!

I'm a rare lesser seen spider specimen, the Rudhie Widow - skankish and deadly, and prone to killing those that get in her way - or at least having someone else do it for her LOL... Trapped in a Belljar - from Half-Deer - and mounted on a boad - which is actually A Padded Wall pose prop from Come Soon Poses - she can do nothing but sit and look as the world passes her by!
The décor and the mantlepiece that I am sat on are amazing items that I grabbed from Gacha Machines at SALEM - yes that event again LOL - and include Grim Parlor Decor gacha items from (Yummy) and The Witching Hour gacha items from MadPea. That's not all from SALEM and it's Gacha machines though, Oh No! Check out my awesome outfit, a crazy Eyeholic look from Moon Amore - to make it easier to see I've added a close up look too if you look below!

Oktoberfest and Edelweiss

The month of October is the best in my opinion... I LOVEEEEE Halloween as you might have already guessed but there are other things about it that make me smile too... Beer is a must in October, as it's Oktoberfest! That Oh-So-Awesome festival that the Germans celebrate with Beer and Pretzels. Now I will admit that I turned to the grand masters of Google and did a bit of research before sitting down to write my post today and I realised that actually Oktoberfest only runs until the first weekend in October - technically I am a little late, but Oh Well! I found Lederhosen, I found beer, I had to pay homage to the festival of beer drinking! 

The lederhosen are actually a past Gacha item from the store Salt & Pepper, and I believe these were in the machine for the recently ended round of The Gacha Garden. As soon as I saw the machine I had to give it a try and was lucky enough to win some very pretty coloured lederhosen on my first go - coincidentally, just so you know, lederhosen means leather trousers in German lol - and the gacha machine not only contains the outfit but also socks and other pretty things that are perfect for this look.
Yet as it's October and therefore the month of HALLOWEEN, I can't resist adding a little of my favourite kind of Dead Girl flavour into the mixture. Hence why Rudh has been shot in the head and has this amazing "Growing Within" scar on her cheek from Ama. It looks like some cute little white flower, and for the purpose of this look I am going to tell you that it is in fact edelweiss, but don't quote me on that LOL... 
For some reason I feel like they SHOULD be Edelweiss but I know that I'm probably going to be in trouble for thinking of them, as the Edelweiss song that is rolling around in my head is in fact Austrian - and yes I'm thinking Sound of Music right now - but meh I'm sure Edelweiss grow all over that general region of Central Europe?! Don't they?! 
Oh well... Who knows, another beer will help me understand more, thank goodness it's Oktobeerfest!
