Self Reflection in the Sinking Sands

A walk in the desert sands can lead to people seeing things that are not there... More often than not it's the mirage is related to water, but in other cases there have been stories of monsters, buildings and even glimpses into the soul... The mirrors to your soul appear every few years and allow people the chance for a little self reflection. What will the mirrors of the soul allow you to see? Will it be your future, will it be your past, or perhaps it could be your darkest secret that only the soul could know? 

I guess that today if I look into the mirrors I might see myself pushing myself into attempting to create something for the FOXCITY Photo Challenge. I know it was something that I'd considered, and I fell in love with the backdrop - available now until March 22nd at Uber - but I was so nervous about the thought of a competition. I looked into the mirrors that appeared from the sinking sands, and took a moment for some self reflection... A conversation with the scared little me, it was time for a pep-talk!

Piggies Practicing Magic

 Friday and a day off, a day of rest and peace... Aside from doing some chores, I'm taking some time to relax and read something interesting. Time to play with my pets and read a good book... 
Little Rudh has agreed for a change and so she has decided to curl up on the floor of the sun room and channel some of the magic that she's hiding within to practice her magic... 

Her journal and tarot cards laid at the ready, with her books at hand in case she has a question or she needs to check something out. Assuming the position, and taking a crystal in each hand, she started to think the positive thoughts needed to make the magic work, and it didn't take too long for the magic within to show through her fingertips... 
Suddenly through the door, straight in from the farm, came three of the cutest little piglets - from Foxwood... Charging around the room and making themselves at home right in the middle of where she was casting her magic. So much for peace an quiet, her book bag - an amazing Witches Starter Kit from Zombie Suicide at The Epiphany - emptied all over the floor scattering the remants across the rug, luckily it made her laugh and it was good magic she'd been casting or there might have been a problem!

The search for Coffee...

 Friday is officially my first day of the week that I'm not having to go out to work in RL... I am SUPER LAZY on days like today, I woke up so late and then lad a lazy lunch, took a long hot shower and have spent the day getting some of the stuff I needed to do done in SL! It's been great... BUT here's the thing... I log into SL and drink my first cuppa coffee while shopping or checking out blogs... DO NOT EXPECT ME TO PAY ATTENTION TO YOU LOL... Before that first cuppa coffee - after which I become more normal and switch to tea - Rudh is a no disturbance zone lol, you message at your own risk... 

I had just woken up this morning and was in search of my first cup of coffee... I must have looked like a bit of a mess lol... Comfortable slouchy clothing - although these new "What's The Tee?" Shirts from Misschevious that are available tomorrow for the Saturday Sale, are super cute and don't deserve to be used as slouchy wear, they could look great all dressed up too! I'm only just awake, I pulled on the wrong glasses - it's hard to see without my reading glasses and in the dark I pulled on my Ananas "Henry's Hands Glasses" instead so I'm blind as a bat... Teddy and I went in search of coffee...

Treasures of the Necrosis

OK so today I have some very exciting news that simply has to be shared... Drum roll please... 
After the very successful launch of the Necrosis event last month, Guen Gothly and Asbjorn Raven have decided to bring the event back again! In just a few days the event's doors will be flying open, and there are some pretty but a little dark and macabre things to get you in the mood for all things dark and gloomy - it's the push that some people need, others like myself have been living our halloween style all year round! 

Now today's post is here to get you all excited about the up coming Necrosis, but actually it's just a tease - it's also a bit of an apology!
I was given this gorgeous Metallic Occult Hieroglyph Dress by Hekat Aries - designer and creator of the Strange One store - as a Necrosis item to blog. I LOVE the hieroglyphs, they appeal to my archaeologist inside she's screaming to get out since I don't actually work much in archaeology anymore, and I HAD to play with them! I had the picture planned, the outfit ready, and then I got sick, meaning I missed the end of the event and felt terrible that I'd let Hekat down! So Hekat, I'm SORRY, I will make it up to you!!! 
Necrosis is coming, ladies and gents! Take this as your early warning, and remember you want to see what dark, macabre and pretty things are there... You never know what treasures you may unearth!

Work, Work, Work

Things have been crazy busy for me at work lately, I've started working 52 hour work weeks and juggling MC life in SL on top of that, so I've been a bit slow when it comes to blogging. It's not something I'm happy with, I use my blog as a way of relaxing, but maybe over the weekend I can find some more time to take some pretty pictures and chillax a bit! As soon as I'm done with my busy, busy working week... 

As per usual, when I'm dealing with things in RL, Rudh is affected in SL... She's now representing my busy working lifestyle, waiting for the elevator to arrive so that she can get out of work and into the weekend! 
As hard as working can be, it's always good to look cute while slaving away. I love this adorable office style outfit from Belle Epoque. Ready to feel the BURN!

Gym membership is expensive. I'm the kind of girl that has good intentions and wants to lose weight - I have no problem admitting that I'm a bit fluffy - but I'm also the kind of girl that HATES the gym with a passion. I don't know why, maybe it's because I don't like knowing there are a lot of people watching me sweat and possibly die lol... BUT I've found a better place for me to work out in RL, it's the store that I have a new job in... Think about it... I'm lifting heavy cheeses, walking around all day, cleaning and working up a bit of a sweat in doing so! 
Yet Rudh would make a fabulous Gym bunny... 

So at the Backdrop City Gym, she's showing off her Gym Bunny Prowess... The RL me is thinking "OUCHHHHHHH" even after having a whole day of doing nothing yesterday, my muscles still hurt, but Rudh loves to feel the burn hehe... 
Luckily she has this gorgeous new workout wear to show off in as she tones! It's made for SLINK - both bodies but only SLINK. Now I'll admit that I wear a Maitreya Body, BUT I found that the Physique  set did actually fit and could pass as an outfit that would work!

The Embalmer

Recently I found myself inspired by an outfit that I knew would get me into trouble. It's not that it was naughty, although HellBone did tell me I looked like a Victorian Hooker LOL, but because I was SOOOOOOO determined to get this outfit from a gacha machine... Those things are soooo dangerous, I always find myself thinking "Just one more try"... 
However, I got lucky, and once I had the outfit on, this idea just screamed to life... The Embalmer, getting off a train and heading in search of the latest rich man wanting to be around forever... 

Little do they know, that the embalmer likes to take a prize for the work she does preserving them... 
She's stepped off the train at Elysion. Wandering down the snowy streets, in search of her next "client" - or is that victim? - she carries her bag of tools - from nefarious inventions - and a second bag that on the outside seems innocent, but is in fact her bag - from David Heather - containing all of the eyeballs collected from those who want to be around forever...
The reason for this look coming to life, was because of a dress that I needed to get my hands on from Silvan Moon Designs - at the current Fantasy Gacha Carnival - this set is the rare black, but the dress and gloves and jacket all come in multiple colours that can be mixed and matched!!!

Even the best adventurers love a good bedtime story...

It's 5.30PM in Holland and I am already thinking about the time I can curl up in bed and go to sleep! I love getting into my bed and stretching out, I always have what some people call a "Bedgasm" - a feeling of euphoria experienced when climbing into bed at the end of a very long day - although it doesn't have to be a long day in my case LOL... 
When I was little I always loved a good bedtime story. My parents read me things like Tolkien and C.S.Lewis from a young age, and I couldn't get enough of the amazing stories of fantasy folk. I'd curl up with my bed full of plushies and listen to the stories, so when I saw something made by one of my favourite designers it took me straight back to my childhood, and my dreams of magical adventures... 

The new book and plushie set called The Velveteen Rabbit is a special Tannenbaum release from Lost Junction. It's a lovely gift for anyone this Christmas. 
So when the Adventurer in me puts her maps and compass aside, and curls up under a blanket with her new book bunny!

Kitten Spies... here to help!

Do you ever wish that you had a little extra help when you're getting ready for a night out? Someone to help you zip up that sexy little black dress, or hold the mirror as you put your make-up on? Lord alone knows I could do with someone...
Today though as I was getting ready for the Gators MC 3rd Birthday Celebrations Day TWO I was slipping into a new LBD, and suddenly I heard a rustling across the floor as the box from my dress moved towards me... In that same moment the zipper of the LBD was pulled up... I turned fast on my heels but there was no one there... It sent a shiver down my spine... Someone snuck in an out without me noticing and zipped up my dress, it's like having an angel there to lend a hand...

I later found out that it was secret super agent kittens!!! The rustling in the delivery box was actually a watch kitty, while my dress was zipped up by a helpful kitten on a zip cord! 
LOL sometimes I really get carried away with my stories right?! Basically though today's blog is in aid of something that I feel I need to try out even though I don't think that I will be one of the lucky chosen few! Don't know unless you try right? Collabor88 is holding a search for bloggers! It's a long shot, there are so many amazing photographers sending in their pictures BUT I had to at least give it a try! 
The Kittens are MishMish releases for this month's Collabor88 Spy themed round... Available as an animated pet or as décor kitties - which come in a set of 4 by the way - I knew that I would need these little critters, and it was made especially so when I saw the dress I am wearing... 
It was the dress that made everything for this photo fall into place in my head... I could instantly see the little kitty on a zip line helping me zip up my new Dead Dollz dress... Dead Dollz made the Nikita Dresses in zipped and unzipped versions, and you get BOTH when you buy your colour of choice!!! I love the dress teamed with these amazing Strings Pumps from Pure Poison too... and there was I thinking that this month there wasn't a lot at Collabor88 that I needed in my life hehe... I guess I was lying to myself!
