Taking the 8-Ball

I'm having one of those days where I feel a little feisty... Some might say it's cantankerous but others would saw it's just the Brat that I am taking control of my brain and being a devious little cheek... I think it's mostly because I'm bored today for some reason, and it's making me restless but I have a notion to start a little trouble! 

Rudh is very good at this kinda trouble, far too good at fluttering her eyelashes as she's being a little deviant... The poor guys that were playing pool - in the bar at Elysion - had no idea what they were up against as Rudh sidled up to the table, seeming far too good to be true. The little demoness was in her human form, and she was looking for someone to take home for her special brand of fun - brand being the important word in the statement... She hid her true-self, only revealing her dangerous intent the the Penta Hearts she wore on her ears - thanks to the awesome new group gift from Zombie Suicide - and her lethal clutch - from Tentacio. Signs so subtle anyone could miss them! 
She picked up the 8 ball and smiled "The winner's coming home with me tonight" to eager grins from those buff, young studs... Little did they know she was on the hunt and the winner's reward was anything but fun!

Cheer Captain of Monster High

Did ya ever see a children's tv show called Monster High? Honestly, I think I may have mentioned it before, but if I was a kid again I'd love it... Heck I love it now and I'm supposed to be an adult! It's based on the children of horror monsters, so there's a Frankie Stein and a Draculaura - for example. They even have a collection of DOLLS! Seriously, why couldn't I have had dolls like this when I was a kid? Then it would have been a case of "Barbie? Who the F**k is Barbie?" 
Anyway, I got my hands on a few items recently, that I never thought of putting together, until miraculously it seemed to just happen, and well... I got the cartoon theme song in my head, so the picture HAD to come to life... Let's head to Monster High and meet captain of the cheer squad... Rudhie!

Taken in the school gymnasium - at the very awesome new sim from the creators of Elysion for Halloween, The Upside Down, which YES is paid entry into the group but it's SO worth every linden spent.

Luckily it seems that even though the dance was last night, Carrie didn't set fire to the gym again, but where the heck is the rest of the squad?!

Sweet Dreams

Such a lovely feeling being wrapped up in your favourite blanket and waking from a lovely night's sleep... That was this morning for me. I'd not slept well for the past few days, and last night it was so cold that I kept my old blanket on the bed - something that always reminded me of my childhood - for extra warmth. So when I finally woke up, I was wrapped in a snug cocoon of blankets with my teddy bear and hubby shaped bed warmer, it was like heaven... 

Of course, and as with anything that seems to be going on in my RL, Rudh will always be affected. She's used a lot to represent my mood - psychologists would love it, I'm sure - and so today, luckily for her she's allowed to do something warm and snuggly!
At the cosiest bed in Elysion, Rudh and her teddy wake up from a nap - looking adorable thanks to a pose from Reve Obscura. I LOVE this pose store, some awesome props poses come out of it, and I have so many I can't wait to play with! I think I just found a new store crush!?!

The Embalmer

Recently I found myself inspired by an outfit that I knew would get me into trouble. It's not that it was naughty, although HellBone did tell me I looked like a Victorian Hooker LOL, but because I was SOOOOOOO determined to get this outfit from a gacha machine... Those things are soooo dangerous, I always find myself thinking "Just one more try"... 
However, I got lucky, and once I had the outfit on, this idea just screamed to life... The Embalmer, getting off a train and heading in search of the latest rich man wanting to be around forever... 

Little do they know, that the embalmer likes to take a prize for the work she does preserving them... 
She's stepped off the train at Elysion. Wandering down the snowy streets, in search of her next "client" - or is that victim? - she carries her bag of tools - from nefarious inventions - and a second bag that on the outside seems innocent, but is in fact her bag - from David Heather - containing all of the eyeballs collected from those who want to be around forever...
The reason for this look coming to life, was because of a dress that I needed to get my hands on from Silvan Moon Designs - at the current Fantasy Gacha Carnival - this set is the rare black, but the dress and gloves and jacket all come in multiple colours that can be mixed and matched!!!

Le Cirque Des Reves

The Circus arrives without warning.

No Announcements precede it...

It is simply there, when yesterday it was not!

The sign on the gate reads 'Le Cirque Des Reves', Opens at Nightfall, Closes at Dawn.

As dawn arrives, Rudhmellowen stumbles through the gates. Her mind filled with the wondrous things she has seen... So many sights, so many smells, the magic to be found around every corner. When the circus arrived, people began to whisper about the strangeness of a cirque appearing without warning. Yet as they passed through the gates these rumours slipped from their minds, replaced by awe and happiness... 
Who were the masters, the creators, the imaginators of this feast for the mind... How was it all even possible? 
Rudh had to go back, she had to see more... But how long would the Cirque Des Reves - The Circus of Dreams - be reality, something more than a legend amongst the people of the town? 

OK Back to reality a little, I mentioned yesterday whilst talking about Elysion's location that is LUNA, of a place opening by the design team that I was REALLY excited about. Last night, Syn Beresford and her team, held the magical parties at Le Cirque Des Reves...
I GOT SO EXCITED!!! I wasn't able to make it to the party due to time and a crappy PC, but this morning when I woke up I couldn't get there fast enough, and it was SO PRETTY. The location, and event theme, is based on one favourite books that I've read in recent years, called "The Night Circus" - by Erin Mortgernstern - and it's a vintage story with some romance and mystery mixed into a great deal of magic. If you love reading it's one that I'd really recommend, and as the latest location creation from Elysion's team would suggest, it seems I'm not the only one! 
Now I'm not going to ramble on about my outfit, the only thing I will say is that you NEED to be in Monochrome to be allowed here. It's part of the story and theme of the location, but trust me it's well worth the visit... Thank you Syn for bringing this story to life
Go now, you never know when Le Cirque Des Reves will move on from here, just as it appears. One day it's there the next it's gone without a trace!

L.U.N.A, the Story of Humankind

One of my favourite places to go and explore, a pretty location for taking pictures and generally relaxing is a place called Elysion. This location is a paid entry group, but since I've been gifted with the group access I have really enjoyed going back to visit time and time again. Not only the main location, but the little sometime locations that spring up for a short while are amazing... I know there is one opening today about a certain book I was crazy about, I will be going to visit the location hopefully soon before it closes, but today I want to talk about one of the sometime locations... 
L.U.N.A, the story of Human Kind...

"Humankind is responsible for destroying the planet known only a few decades ago as Earth.  They of course were warned, and chose to ignore. Even after all the signs….the raging fires, floods, earthquakes, and tropical storms so intense they were capable of wiping out  infrastructure for months at a time, and widespread devastation to a multitude of planet life.

The year is 2024--a privately funded team of scientific experts, botanists, and astronauts has been assigned with the task of taking selected specimens from earth in an attempt to colonize the planet known to us only as - L U N A -.

Luna is the last hope for the survival of the human race. We have no idea if this mission will be successful, but what is left of humankind hinges on the success of  the colonization of this new planet."

Taken from their release notes, this location I will admit did scare me a little bit at first. I'm TERRIFIED of Aliens. Yet I HAD to see what it was about... It's so gorgeous, more than a little worth the trip in to visit. It was a gorgeously, serene, and yes eerie all at once. 
Of course, I had to get dressed up, it wasn't just going to be normal looking astronaut either... It was a Rudhified, would actually never survive if she wore it in Space!

My Sister and her Hogwarts!

I know that I said I wouldn't be around much over the Christmas break, but you know how it is... You sit there relaxing and suddenly it's like you get an itch... I NEEDED to fill some of my blogging addiction and needed to release a bit of that pent up bloggeritis! 
I'm in the UK now, back with family and having a wonderfully relaxing time of it too. Just taking time out to enjoy the company and familiarity of home. Yet my sister and I were flicking through the TV channels, wondering what to watch and she being a die hard Harry Potter fan was dismayed to know that I've never actually watched - or read for that matter - a single Harry Potter anything... 
I had however, stashed a blog post away ready to post sometime when the feeling got to me, so this one I'm dedicating to my RL lil sister, Sophie!

Soph is such a die-hard fan she can tell me anything about anything Harry Potter related - I guess a little like I am with Tolkein. 
She'd be a student of the Hufflepuff house, although I'm sure if we're talking about the RL me I may be there too - that's the one with the Badger right?! Rudh on the other hand would be a Slytherine... Without question. 
We had a party in SL recently that was Harry Potter themed. Being a bit resourceful, and not wanting to spend a lot on a Harry Potter based uniform, I found the cutest uniform from Zenith. Adding a pair of socks in the matching shade of green, as well as some bad girl accessories like a Garter belt full of money and a cigarette, it made Rudh really ready for her trip to Hogwarts. 
Only problem was, she wasn't counting on the fact that she would be pulled up on stage at Elysion and asked to perform for the ghostly crowd... Levitation... Leviosa right?

Gridrow Witch

Still sticking with the pretty magic a little more today in my new costume post... I think that this will be my fourth Halloween look for the month and that's not bad, well I say fourth, but I have a lot more ready to share with you too so in actuality I'm on my 8th costume - YAY for one a day!!! 
Today I'm doing something a little witchy... A little dark magical, at a gorgeous place called "Gridrow Heights"... 

This asylum is the creation of the team behind Elysion and it's GORGEOUS... I've not been a member of the group for very long, it was a kinda sorta Halloween gift - least that's the way I'm thinking of it - and I am addicted... So many little nooks and crannies to play in!!! Gridrow Heights is the awesome Halloween location for this amazing design team!! 
The location itself defies you to try and be prettier than it, and so when I pulled on this witchy look and was wandering around in the halls it seemed to fit right in... 
Cobbled together with a gorgeous Moon Elixir "Salem" Blouse - that I purchased at the event of the same name, Salem - and a Rhola Skirt from Sweet Thing, all that was missing was a few accessories!!! Thanks to the Wasabi Pillls "Malin" hat that comes with the hair, and is a special release for the season, and these amazing Violetility Rivet Glasses, that I am sure would be the kind of thing a certain Madam McGonagall would wear, I was a VERY happy little witch... 
Now I can't wait to go back and explore more... If you can handle the hefty group price tag, it's VERY VERY worth it!!!
