Wanted to try something a little creative today, not sure how well it worked but you should know me by now, I cannot help myself when it comes to messing around with things and trying something new. So I set out some props - some amazing haunted style goodies, and then styled myself, with a little photoshop magic I brought the two together! Not sure if it worked as well as I had hoped BUT I like it! So you get to see it, and maybe tell me what you think?!
I'm a rare lesser seen spider specimen, the Rudhie Widow - skankish and deadly, and prone to killing those that get in her way - or at least having someone else do it for her LOL... Trapped in a Belljar - from Half-Deer - and mounted on a boad - which is actually A Padded Wall pose prop from Come Soon Poses - she can do nothing but sit and look as the world passes her by!
The décor and the mantlepiece that I am sat on are amazing items that I grabbed from Gacha Machines at SALEM - yes that event again LOL - and include Grim Parlor Decor gacha items from (Yummy) and The Witching Hour gacha items from MadPea. That's not all from SALEM and it's Gacha machines though, Oh No! Last New Years, HellBone and I rented a little cottage in the woods to try and take our doggie away from the crazy fireworks that people in our town like to set off for the 5 days surrounding the festive celebrations... It was great, if you don't factor in the fact that I almost killed my mother-in-law... This year we've decided to do the same again, deeper into the Dutch forest and this year I plan on taking some heavy duty rope so that if my mother-in-law pulls the same crap again she will be tied to a tree and conveniently "forgotten" on the day we come home lol...
I'm talking about this for two reasons, one I just paid the deposit and two I am REALLY in need of a bit of a break. I want to go back to England to just switch off my head but right now that isn't happening so a girl has to just dream right?!
Luckily in Second Life I can actually reach my holiday goals without having to spend any money and arrange any time off... I just click the Teleport button and land there... One of the prettiest places to holiday is Netherwood - a location based on the Yorkshire Dales of England.
While I was there on this trip I wore such a cute hippy style outfit and laced flowers into my hair, it felt almost as if I was actually having some free time.
The hair - complete with it's flower decoration - is one that has been released by Adoness for the latest round of Genre, that ends tomorrow. It seemed to look rather cute with the latest outfit released from Petite Mort at The Crossroads. The release includes three awesome mix-and-match pieces, including this awesome Gypsy Witch Tank, adorable Gypsy Bag and the Buttonfly Denim Shorts which will no doubt become a staple item in my SL wardrobe! These things all come in multiple colour options and so although I mentioned it before they make mix-and-match looks effortless!!!
Though I had a though while I was writing this... Have you seen that show Dharma and Greg?! Do I look a bit like a red-headed Dharma?!

I love my dressing up box... When I was a kid I could spend hours and hours playing dress up, creating weird and wonderful characters for myself, which I guess never stopped once I had found SecondLife and created Rudh. Now days I love nothing more than to add to the dressing up box in my inventory... Weird and Wonderful, Super Cute and a lot of Dead or Macabre outfits fill that box, so that no matter what I want to be, I can be it!
One of my favourite new acquisitions for my SL dressing up box took my mind to a Wonderlandish place, though I'm not sure that is what the designer of it had in mind?! I just couldn't resist skipping around as a Rudhified version of Alice Liddell hehe...
It's all the fault of this awesome new outfit I picked up at The Crossroads from Dead Dollz. The Yuki outfits are so freaking cute, I knew I had to have one but the hardest thing when it came to this outfit was which colour should I buy. In the end it had to be the sky blue, purely because that's the colour I associate with Alice in Wonderland thanks to Disney LOL... I LOVE the super cute ruffley knickers!! ALSO the colour perfectly matched with my brand new boots from EMPIRE, which like the dress were another I HAVE TO HAVE item.
Now I know that Alice in Wonderland is following a white rabbit, but this is Rudhie in SLland and here she's the one that's dressed up and in this case going to a tea party - at the amazing Sweet Harmonic Wedding Location again - dressed with kitty ears and an adorable new little Choker Bell Collar - a cute little accessory that's available now at Manga Fair from PSYCHO.Byts.
A trip to a tea party is a really cool idea to kill time whilst you're stuck in a boring gray office, I just wish that I could really disappear into Wonderland for a little while!

How did it get so hot so fast?! For the last few days I've felt like I've been melting and today is shaping up to be more of the same! I've never really been a fan of hot weather, I'm much more of an Autumn and Winter kind of girl. I mean OK when you go on Vacation, you want sunny weather but then you aren't stuck at home doing the chores and working the jobs and you can just kick back, relax and enjoy!
Still I guess being stuck to my computer due to working so much does have it's perks... I can spend more time in SL taking pictures than normal LOL... I'm exploring, shopping and taking some pretty pictures all at the same time, so I guess it's a little like a holiday?! Perhaps?!
It's exactly the case of what happened here... I'd been wearing a gorgeous new dress from Petite Mort - the Henna Slip Dress in a teal colour which is available at the current round of Tres Chic just in case you were wondering - and decided to take my new little buddy that I adopted recently on a walk somewhere different and new...
The location is a place called Neverfar, and it's got a serene but also haunting feel to it... It's definitely worth checking out.
If you're thinking about adopting a puppy like I did I should let you know that my new little friend is an adorable Countryside Collie from Jian. To adopt one is very simple, just head to their special adoptions location at The Epiphany and you too could walk away with your own adorable little friend...
OH while I'm rambling, there is one last thing that really does deserve a new noteworthy mention... My new favourite Hair! I seem to be wearing this all the time at the moment, and not only does it look cute, I donated to a great cause when I bought it! This is a Hair Fair release from the store Blues. I am kinda ashamed to admit it, but I've never really paid much attention to Blues hair until very recently... Maybe it's time I did a little more Blues shopping?!

Oh my gosh I cannot quite believe that I am awake this morning. I have a terrible headache but somehow my body is on a warpath against me and it will not let me sleep more. On another note I cannot believe that I managed to get a post about the Hair Fair Freebies done before it opened too LOL... I was working my little blogging butt off last night trying to get everything ready... Now I am freaking knackered and even though this morning I have tried to make a pretty picture, there really is only one thing on my mind...
Not likely to get anymore sleep BUT least I can have a somewhat relaxing day. Rudh on the other hand will be able to sleep as I have to use my work avatar instead hehe...
She found the perfect place to sleep, somewhere that perfectly fit with her gorgeous new outfit... Typical of Rudh that she could be asleep somewhere perfect and look awesome... The RL me would never look this glamourous.
Perfectly matched to the gorgeous Majilis al Jinn, Sands of Time, location, Rudh has been dancing around as a pretty belly dancer because of her new outfit from !gO!, which you can pick up at The Crossroads.
Still for now I have more work to do, I guess that the RL me won't be getting a nap any time soon!
