The Basement of the Spider Queen

I am missing Halloween... This time last year, HellBone had begun working on the Gators MC Halloween Maze, but this year since the Gators has closed that´s not something that will be happening... I miss preparing the dark side, I miss the feeling of thinking "will it be scary enough?" and watching the plans come together to create something Halloweeny! 
So today, I think I'm going to slip into something a little on the scarier side - tapping into the arachnaphobia - while I play with my spidery friends... 

In the basement - a skybox backdrop from Paparazzi - where the spiders lurk in the dark, but oddly glittering cobwebs, you may, if you look hard enough, find the Spider Princess...

PUMPKINS!!!!!!

It's ALMOST HALLOWEEN - although really it's been Halloween season for me all month already - but it's time to pick the pumpkin that I want and carve his happy little face into it... I did one already and ended up needing another, then I went to the pumpkin patch and WELL... one more became a few more than that... 

Posing with all my pretty little pumpkins, in a sunny spot in my garden, I cannot help but be happy... I love this pose, it sums up my pumpkinny mood so well, it's called Balancing Act and it's from -Extra-, a store I love for poses!!! 
The rest of the picture is actually more of a cute Autumn look of the day than anything... A cute jacket from Decoy, some simple but fun jeans from Pseudo and some "Spoopy Sneaks" from 1313 MockingBird Lane! Plus an epic hairstyle and hat from Foxy, it's like the perfect Autumn look!!!

Rose for a Belle

This weekend, was the wedding of my SL Niecey - Kitten of the Ghost Bully's - to her big Damenbinde - German Maxipad hehe... It was a short and sweet wedding, that HellBone had the honour of officiating as an MC President - although I had to step in and save the day making a few things up as we went LOL... Still my neice was happy, and I got to dress up like a pretty princess too LOL - it's the only good thing about SL weddings, means I get to look fancy formal LOL!! 
Then yesterday was the opening of a new round of Enchantment - I got so excited, it's my favourite this time... Beauty and the Beast!!! I was sent some gorgeous poses that have been released at this event, and everything tied together so beautifully I was a very happy Princess Rudh!! 

The Rose Imperium at The Outer Garden is one of my favourite pretty places in SL... It's gorgeous, a mix of industrial and nature, and perfect for what I wanted! 
The dress was something I'd been saving for a rainy day - or a wedding - I never get to go anywhere formal anymore, it's just not on Hell's agenda, but sometimes you find a dress and fall in love. I did it with this one, it's a United Colors Angel Wedding Dress in a blue colour!! 
Then there is the pose that I mentioned, without this pose, the picture may be something a little less romantic... This is a new release pose from NANTRA for the Beauty and the Beast round of Enchantment. It's part of a set of 6 poses that include rose and candelabra props!! For the theme, AND the time of year, this pose just screams perfect!!!

Don't feel the Cold...

A few years ago now I was taking part in a challenge called Second Life Disney Bounding... You had to create a look based on a chosen character for the week, and even though the challenge has finished I've recently been playing around characters again, not intentionally creating looks for the challenge but realising that it's my versions of these characters and very much enjoying it!
A while ago, at the last Tannenbaum Christmas Market, I bought something that is VERY much the outfit of a Disney Princess... I even chose to buy it in the right colour for said Disney Princess... So today, I'm going to Rudh as Elsa of Frozen!!! 

One of the most popular Disney films of recent years, Frozen is something that many many people know about... I did enjoy it, but I have to admit that I prefer Moana! 
My version of Elsa is a little darker, she's wounded and burnt by the snow and branded as a Monster, yet she still seems to be able to smile when Olaf comes to play... He took her for a walk at the lovely winter gardens at Moochie! 
I love this dress, and the ice shoes, they are previous releases from RIOT - for the dress - and Garbaggio - and her little friend is a 25L release from my hubby's store Hogs & Cart Wheels!

Flamingo Colours

Everyone has their favourite examples of things... If I said what's your favourite Candy, you'd have an answer. If I said what's your favourite book, I'm sure you could name something... But what about if I said what's your favourite bird?! That's a tough one for me, I love Robins but I think more than that I LOVE Flamingoes. I have lots and lots of Flamingo things, both in SL and RL, but for some reason this look of the day kinda screamed YAY as I found this field of artistic flamingoes at Ocho Tango Place... 

Now, today is actually my 11th Rez Day in SL... I've been playing around with this Barbie for 11 years in a game that my RL mum referred to as a "phase" - looking back it's been much more than that as I've had 11 years of fun and friendships, met my RL Hubby AND am now calling SL work! 
So still lets get on with my look of the day today, shall we?! 
It started out because of this gorgeous Tropical Eyeshadows Pack and Akona Lipsticks Pack were sent to me from PSYCHO.Byts, which are available until August 31st at the Cosmetic Fair. YES I know time is running out, BUT they are still available!! I had an awesome dainty but so pretty necklace from Zombie Suicide that worked perfectly with the colours of this particular eye make-up, and a shirt from DATUM that worked with the oranges too, but it was the hair that was the topper for this outfit - Hair's at the top, get it LOL?! I LOVED this crazy wild hair from NYNE called Omena, and in this colour combination of the firey red and green highlights it really picked out the colours of the necklace!!!

A walk in a Dream

Computer issues become nightmares in the blink of an eye for me these days... This weekend was a doozy of a nightmare too. I'd had all these well laid out plans of things I needed to do photography wise, and work wise, and all that came stumbling to a massive halt because my PC decided that it would have a "Computer Says No!" day. It went bad, then Hell made it worse, and when we thought that it was better again, it still decided that I wasn't allowed to do what I wanted! It was so frustrating, and I warn you now that I may disappear for a few days while I totally reformat my PC...
Still for now I am going to think about other things or I will become grumpy again... Yesterday was not a good day for me... Last night, while I slept though was much better!

I actually got a really good nights sleep, which seems to be unusual at the moment... It's cold here at the moment, but I pulled on a second blanket - one that was made by my grandmother - and had some lovely dreams... A bit like the one that Rudh wandered into...
She took a walk at the beautiful location of Netherwood, but the most captivating part of her dream is her amazing dress... The dress is a new release from Petite Mort for this months Trés Chic, and the designs all feature this twilight scene in varying levels of twilight. I chose to wear the Sunset version but there are a range of others in different night-time tones...
Such a pretty dress, such a beautiful location, it took my nightmare day into a pretty walk through somewhere that feels like a comforting dream...

Abandoned to the Spiders

That feeling of being abandoned can hit us all at random times... You never actually have to lose someone to suffer with that feeling, and something as simple as a change in a relationship can leave you feeling a little lost! Not that it is a total abandonment, but it's still similar feelings. 
So OK I have a photo that is a little gloomy, she's been so abandoned that the spiders have taken over, and she's left in a dark and almost horror movie style situation... I don't feel anywhere near as abandoned as this right now, but there is that slight niggling doubt in the back of my mind... A fear that someone is out to do me harm for no apparent reason, and a chance that things will change very soon! 

The spiders are the main focus of this photo, and it's purely and simply because of ONE item... 
I was checking out the latest round of The Liaison Collaborative, when I saw this amazing necklace called Spider Cascade from Earthstones. I have to admit that I don't tend to shop at Earthstones all that often, some of the pieces are too dainty and kinda too pricey for me so I look but don't touch, yet this one cried out to me that I needed it, and the resulting picture just came together so easily, it was like fate!
Maybe I should feel alone more often if this is the kinda thing my mind creates because of it?!

Stop the Press, I re-discovered I love to Hunt!

I love taking photos, it's definitely one of my favourite past times and there is no better way for me to relax than by working out a look I want for a photo then seeing it come to life in "print"... SL photography for me is becoming way more than a past time, it's becoming more of an obsession... I take pictures of what I love and hopefully share that love with you, and I get to experiment with things that I never would have even looked at before... 
One of the things that I have started doing is looking more at prizes from hunts... I used to LOVE being a hunter, I did every hunt that I could to grab as many freebie or cheapie awesome goodies as I could, but I grew tired of it, and only recently re-discovered a love of hunting... 
The one that is inspiring me at the moment is The Photographers Hunt. I mentioned it before, but I cant help playing with a few more of the awesome prizes, and can promise you that this will no doubt be my last either! 

These are some more prizes from The Photography Hunt... Another background that has been textured using a gorgeous pattern from Spyralle - this time in an Unquiet Water Pattern... 
This time I was working on the post photo shoot phase of photography, I wanted to share with you the editing process hehe, and yes OK editing SL pictures is not done like this often BUT this Home Laboratory is the perfect prop for any photograph making genius. Don't miss this at 22769, it's a HUNT PRIZE!! One thing I should mention though is that it is not scripted with poses, but there are so many available on the hunt, like this one from [Black Tulip] that you won't need to worry about that too much! 
There is just one more hunt prize here that needs an honourable mention, and that is the Press Hat from Duh! It's a great unisex item, that I pulled on over some curly Magika hair, but it would look awesome on the guys too! 
As you can tell, I'd been acting like an undercover paparazzi at a very swanky affair, and I didn't even have time to change out of my glitzy outfit! The dress, on the subject of glitz, is from the store epoch but its name is Glitz hehe... I'd dressed it up a little with a pair of thigh high Regency boots from BAX and some of the most gorgeous Earthstones Laraine Diamond Jewellery, which was a part of my bridesmaids uniform for Solde's wedding recently... 
I wowed the crowd at the party but 'hmmm' I wonder if I can wow the people more with my photos hehe...
