Fighting causes pain, no matter what the outcome, no matter how hard you try to stop the pain it comes through no matter how strong willed the person is. You find yourself wondering "is all of this worth it?" and for me personally I want to do what the Ostrich do and bury my head in the sand. I'm really not good with conflict, the stress tends to cause me to break and I cry a lot... Yet it takes an episode like the one I'm dealing with to make a girl realise that people are not as they seem and that in SecondLife people can hide their real emotions and leave turmoil in their wake... Rudh got dressed for war... War seems to be coming and there is no power to stop it... I just hope I am strong enough to handle the destruction once it's all calmed down.

Yesterday was EPIC... I turned 10 and entered the realm of the SecondLife Dinosaurs... Everything about yesterday was AWESOME though - aside from a drama hiccup that will remain forgotten because I cannot handle that kind of thought process right now - and I had the best present from my MC family... I'll tell you more about that in a minute, but there was one thing missing yesterday. One of the most important things that my 10 years in SL have brought me... HELLBONE!
HellBone is away on a road-trip with some of his RL Brothers and Sisters of the B.A.C.A, and he's left me at home in Holland. It was very strange not having him there with me whilst I celebrated such an important rezday, but we called and texted - and that is why this pose from Come Soon feels so perfect right now, he's away but I can still talk to him! The pose is a Come Soon called Broken - it was a release for the Manga Fair and I am hoping that it has been placed at the main store now that the event has closed. This pose as per usual with Come Soon poses includes a Full Scene, but I have to admit to you now that I did change up the furniture in the scene just a little bit! BUT on to the festivities... The MC hired an awesome tribute band we know, High Octane Tributes, to perform as Five Finger Death Punch - who aside from the Viking Cellists are my absolute favourites!

It's here... It's finally here... A VERY important day in the life of Rudhmellowen Laguna, and also the RL Emily behind the avatar... TODAY IS MY 10th REZDAY!!! Yes, you read that right, I've spent 10 years in SL riding the changes that SL, along with both my RL and SL selves, have been pulled through...
Looking back I wouldn't change a single thing!!! I started in SL 3 years after it was created - I know that there are older people out there, but I think 10 still entitles me to be referred to as a SecondLife Dinosaur. I was here pre-Mesh, pre-Sculptie, and even pre-Flexi... When I first logged Rudh in world her hair was like a large plastic looking lump stuck to her head! My first hair purchase was something that looked akin to a floppy spider - but hey back then it looked AWESOME! Now days, I look just a little different - having two distinct sides to my fashion personality, the rebel biker chick with just a touch of kinky goth and the crazy rainbow cuteness with a touch of pretty and a sprinkling of madness!
It's been 10 years of adventures... I've done so many things that I'd never thought possible... I learnt new skills - I'm a dab hand at photoshopping things now - and even found myself a RL job working in the SL world! I've been a Fairy and a Vampire, a Witch and now a Zombie - least that's the Living Dead Girl style I try to portray - however it seems I'm more biker chick than anything else since I stepped into the role of Gators MC Secretary. I've been a friend, a sister and a mother - and although people come and go, fights and fall outs have been numerous over the 10 years, each of you have made me stronger and built me to the person that I am today. A journey that started out with dragons as friends lead me to knowing people that I cannot be without - my bestieface, my brothers and sisters and even my hubby all came into my life because of this "game". So when I look back over the 10 years, and people tell me that I have been wasting my time - it's been known to happen in RL on the odd occasion as I am sure some of you will be able to attest to - I sit back and smile... There is no where else I'd rather have spent the last 10 years. This rollercoaster of a SecondLife has been an epic journey, but one that I am so glad I stepped into - and to think when I started I wasn't sure I'd make it till the end of the month LOL... I didn't sleep very well again last night... I need to stop complaining about the heat but damn it was hot LOL, sorry... It can't be very interesting to hear me complain about that all the time! So instead I will talk about something much more interesting... I've been talking to a friend about Supernatural... It's a different shape from a lot of the recent Blueberry releases, less form fitting and more loose - which is perfect for this kind of hot weather - the Scarlet Dresses come in multiple colours AND have a hud to change the colours of the wings! Of course I had to accessorise a little bit, with my favourite Halo from Remarkable Oblivion, but then being an Angel was not enough. When the Angel in me is let out, you know that little demon in me has to be too... Think I'm becoming more and more like a vampire you know... Not the drinking blood part, but the allergic to sunlight bit... It's going to be a HOT few days in Holland and even though it's only 8.30am its already getting fairly warm - not warm by other country standards I'll admit, but still warm enough for a country that not two days ago was cold and wet! Maybe I'll start hiding in the shadows and take on a new persona?!
Today has been FAR too hot, I've been writing a blog post since 8.30 AM and it's not nearly 12 hours later and I'm still writing because sitting behind my PC is not cool in this weather! The weather is warming back up in Holland... Apparently we are heading for some scorchingly hot weather, and although I don't mind the sunshine, it's not something I am really looking forward to!! Big Girls and Warm Weather don't really mix... Yet there is something about the sunshine that makes everything seem that much more smiley and smiley is a good thing! I'm in a very happy mood - despite the fact that I am already stuck in the hellhole office that I work in - purely and simply because I just saw an email from my favourite bookstore in Amsterdam telling me they are having a "Books by Weight" sale again in just over a week!! Giddy with excitement I am, just giddy... For now though to avoid the heat, and to work on my plan to beat the crowds at the sale, I'm going to hide and be devious!!!
The Bunker I'm using to hide in is actually not mine, it's Jack's - Jack's Bunker made by Consignment I should add - and in my defence I had to use his rather than mine as mine is stuffed full of shoes and clothes and all that kinda good stuff! Don't worry though I won't get lonely in here while I wait, I was greeted by Jack's Curious Kitten - from Jian! I love my hiding in the bunker from the heat outfit too... I'm feeling a little bit soppy this morning, as I woke up thinking about relationships... Many people come to SL seeking love and end up getting burnt! Heck I've been there too, falling for people that won't be reciprocating my feelings and realising too late that the things I loved about my craziness have changed... I spent a lot of time and took a lot of chances when it came to finding a SLove, but when I finally stopped looking, love in a HellBone shape appeared... Now OK I am rambling BUT it's all because I took a very romantic walk through Paris alone - Hell doesn't do romance anymore LOL - and it just stirred things up, making me feel all soppy, sentimental and romantic...
Paris Je T'aime is a home location for a number of great stores, but the location on it's own is really worth wandering around in. It's very pretty and really captures the romance of Paris... Now I may get into trouble for this, and I am a bit of a bad blogger but I am late with blogging this amazing dress. To be fair I had the picture ready to edit but only yesterday did I have a chance to get any editing done! This is one of those very gorgeous dresses that I needed somewhere special to wear... I chose Paris... It's a Petite Mort Cabaret Velvet Dress in a Rose colour - don't gasp in shock, I know I don't wear pink often - and there are 5 different colour options to choose from. These gorgeous dresses were available until yesterday - hence why I may be in trouble - as an event release for the Lovecraft Festival, which has now closed and I am hoping these dresses are moved to the main store! I kept everything else simple with this look - hair and shoes were both very understated - the only exception being this gorgeous Posy of Southern Magnolias in a pretty Sorbet colour from, in my personal opinion, the best flower makers in SL - LODE! Perhaps her bouquet was a romantic gesture from some secretive stranger as she wandered home through the streets of Paris... A beautiful dress and a beautiful bouquet, all adds to the romance of the scenery...

Something a little bit random, a little bit crazy and well, rather colourful is on the agenda today... It's FRIDAY and the start of what looks to be a good weekend, so I feel like I should get into the party mood! Drama is one of those naturally occurring things in SecondLife... Anywhere you get groups of people you are more than likely to experience drama every now and then, unless of course you live in a box and never venture into the outside world. Perhaps someone should create a SecondLife drama police?! Someone that could stop all of the petty drama and bring justice lol - although OK let's keep the SL Secrets Blog because sometimes that place is just too funny! The SecondLife World NEEDS the Drama Police!!!
Not sure if I could handle being in the drama police, I'm WAY too sensitive and take everything to heart, but if there were such a group this look should SO be their uniform! Back to work... For RL me it's back to the office, for Rudh there is a whole different job out there calling to her LOL... Something she has to get dressed up all pretty for to catch the eyes of the public! Sometimes new things, but sometimes old things are the choice of Rudh when she's working this job. Today's look is a mixture of old and new, but thats the way that I love to style myself... Mixing things up so that when she's out in her photography job no two days are the same! I hope you realised I was talking about photography LOL, she hasn't got a job as a hooker yet...
The main reason for this look just happens to be the shorts and the boots but it was just too perfect of a scenario in these items and her standing on a street corner to waste the opportunity. The shorts are a brand new release from WONDERLOST - and YES they are shorts, very revealing shorts! - they are perfect staple pieces for any slightly naughty girl's wardrobe, and even when you wear them with panties they look fairly revealing, so the sweet and innocent should beware hehe... They look even better when you pair them with a pair of the Reign Mishi Thigh High Boots - which are on SALE at the moment I think... They were when I bought them as Reign was having a 50% off sale! If you're lucky you might find other lovely ladies in the Vila Mimosa Red Light District... You won't see me there I'm done posing in the wrong location lol but this urban grunge place is great!

Pft what a weekend that was, you know I'm actually glad today is Monday and I am back to work - not that I am happy about being in the office - it brings normality and that right now is MUCH needed! The weekend has been a crazy whirlwind of conversations that have taken me on a bit of a rollercoaster ride, and I just really hope that things will smooth themselves out soon... If that doesn't work then perhaps I will have a lobotomy... Ya know, get my brain removed so I don't need to think anymore?! I could have it put in formaldehyde and preserved until the stress and tension was over?! I've always been an over thinker... It's one of my worst traits, but not only do I over think I over think, I tend to think of the worst possible outcome and dwell on it... The perfect location - or should that be destination for a lobotomy of this kind - is the Ironwood Hills Asylum... It caters for all kinds of people and has plenty of soft warm rooms to make rehabilition an easy task - if you don't mind the screams of other patients of course! Last New Years, HellBone and I rented a little cottage in the woods to try and take our doggie away from the crazy fireworks that people in our town like to set off for the 5 days surrounding the festive celebrations... It was great, if you don't factor in the fact that I almost killed my mother-in-law... This year we've decided to do the same again, deeper into the Dutch forest and this year I plan on taking some heavy duty rope so that if my mother-in-law pulls the same crap again she will be tied to a tree and conveniently "forgotten" on the day we come home lol... I'm talking about this for two reasons, one I just paid the deposit and two I am REALLY in need of a bit of a break. I want to go back to England to just switch off my head but right now that isn't happening so a girl has to just dream right?!
Luckily in Second Life I can actually reach my holiday goals without having to spend any money and arrange any time off... I just click the Teleport button and land there... One of the prettiest places to holiday is Netherwood - a location based on the Yorkshire Dales of England. While I was there on this trip I wore such a cute hippy style outfit and laced flowers into my hair, it felt almost as if I was actually having some free time. The hair - complete with it's flower decoration - is one that has been released by Adoness for the latest round of Genre, that ends tomorrow. It seemed to look rather cute with the latest outfit released from Petite Mort at The Crossroads. The release includes three awesome mix-and-match pieces, including this awesome Gypsy Witch Tank, adorable Gypsy Bag and the Buttonfly Denim Shorts which will no doubt become a staple item in my SL wardrobe! Yesterday I was in a pretty wonderland... Today I'm going to Hell... It's amazing just how much my mood swings from one pretty girlie side of me to the other more dark and twisted side! I'm not Bi-Polar or anything like that but I just love being able to play around and do different things every day. Today my dressing up box lead me in a much darker direction - although there is a lot less blood than I have been known to play with - today, I am a tribute to the darkness... I had an outfit that just screamed out to me to release my inner bad girl, and this time she came out as a little bit demonic... After hours of searching I found the perfect location and became a tribute to Satan himself...
There is much to say about this outfit and my styling but first the location I discovered... It took me a while, I wanted somewhere dark, somewhere that fit perfectly with my outfit and it was no simple task... Then after clicking a random link in search, I found this place... Lord Satan's Demon Castle. It was perfect for what I wanted. This place welcomes visitors BUT I want to make sure I give you a word of caution - it's not for the faint hearted. It's a place where orgies are advertised as entertainment, and there are monstrous things to see and do here... That having been said the location looks great, and the people that I spoke to were welcoming and great in providing assistance - so thank you to those people. This location is in essence a Satanic Church, so please also bear that in mind and if you're anti this kind of thing, don't visit... If you're looking for a little slice of Hell however, this is a brilliantly planned, decorated and staffed location, that may be just what you are looking for! I was a little naughty, I couldn't resist jumping up onto the altar - which isn't bad at this location it seems as when I arrived there was a couple having sex on it hehe - as a tribute to Satan himself. It was all prompted by my awesome outfit, which includes the boots and blindfold as well as the bodice and panties, is in fact a gacha collection available now at The Gacha Garden from lassitude & ennui. I added the very cool, and very monstrous looking, Sandersons Gloves - from Jian - to complete my look. The inner demoness in me needed her time in the spotlight, she's one of my favourite characters and when she comes out so does the trouble, but you never know what might come next... Now that the demoness is back with Satan, where will my freed mind take me hehe... I love my dressing up box... When I was a kid I could spend hours and hours playing dress up, creating weird and wonderful characters for myself, which I guess never stopped once I had found SecondLife and created Rudh. Now days I love nothing more than to add to the dressing up box in my inventory... Weird and Wonderful, Super Cute and a lot of Dead or Macabre outfits fill that box, so that no matter what I want to be, I can be it! One of my favourite new acquisitions for my SL dressing up box took my mind to a Wonderlandish place, though I'm not sure that is what the designer of it had in mind?! I just couldn't resist skipping around as a Rudhified version of Alice Liddell hehe...
It's all the fault of this awesome new outfit I picked up at The Crossroads from Dead Dollz. The Yuki outfits are so freaking cute, I knew I had to have one but the hardest thing when it came to this outfit was which colour should I buy. In the end it had to be the sky blue, purely because that's the colour I associate with Alice in Wonderland thanks to Disney LOL... I LOVE the super cute ruffley knickers!! ALSO the colour perfectly matched with my brand new boots from EMPIRE, which like the dress were another I HAVE TO HAVE item. Now I know that Alice in Wonderland is following a white rabbit, but this is Rudhie in SLland and here she's the one that's dressed up and in this case going to a tea party - at the amazing Sweet Harmonic Wedding Location again - dressed with kitty ears and an adorable new little Choker Bell Collar - a cute little accessory that's available now at Manga Fair from PSYCHO.Byts. A trip to a tea party is a really cool idea to kill time whilst you're stuck in a boring gray office, I just wish that I could really disappear into Wonderland for a little while!
I didn't sleep very well last night... I think it was a combination of too warm and our matress being a little bit old now that added together to leave me uncomfortable and hanging in a strange sort of limbo - and I don't mean the dancing! The idea of limbo is a funny thing, it's the state, feeling or even in some cases the place in which you're left hanging around waiting... Religiously speaking - Limbo is originally a part of Catholic theology - it's the state after death before you ascend to Heaven or fall to Hell. Now I'm not a religious person, but that feeling of Limbo is sometimes so very often apparent that it's hard not to notice it. Last night felt like I was in limbo... Hanging between sleep and awake... It feels so strange when that happens. Sounds are clearer, your eyes grow accustomed to the dark and it feels almost superhuman - let's face it it's probably the closest many of us will get! No wonder it's a bit of a "mystical" idea...
So as I was lazing in my bed last night in this strange state, I remembered this photograph that I'd taken of Rudh, and although she looks a LOT more serene and a LOT less like she's had a rough night, it has that same feeling of being stuck waiting... Locked inside a dark glass coffin she floats through time and space... The Forgotten Glass Coffin - a rare gacha prize in a Salome Colour - protecting her from the ravaging of time, keeping her sealed, keeping her pretty. As the giant clock in her hands tortures the sleeping beauty counting through the seconds, minutes, hours, days and into eternity. Perhaps I'm thinking about passing time so much at the moment due to the fact that my dolly has a very big birthday coming up for people in the virtual world... It's making me a little pensive LOL...

Sunday Morning... I'm having yet another lazy day today and waking up very slowly as HellBone is out in RL... I'm on my third cup of coffee and second ciggie, and now I'm trying to get myself into the Fantasy Gacha Carnival. My HUD is running, and now I just sit back and wait to see how long it takes to get in LOL... At one time having a get-me-in style HUD really had it's benefits - it could click the TP button faster than you could, but now it's more of a lazy persons way to get into an event as it seems everyone and their mother is using these same easy tools. Still, it helps that you don't need to keep clicking every two minutes... PLUS it means I can have a chance to put my feet up and relax...
LOL my post took me a little longer than I had planned purely and simply because I got into the event then had a mad dash to get my TP HUD off... Followed by a good browse through all of the Gacha Machines. I am so addicted, it's terrible, and this time I will totally blame CURELESS & DISORDERLY, not that they forced me to go but they made DOLL PARTS!!! Until that happened though, I had been cosily sat in my new Book Nook Fort that HellBone picked up at a Yard Sale for me, on one of the new and super comfy "Oversized Chairs" from Consignment - which you can grab now at FaMESHed until August 27th. I like this chair so much that I think I may have just found my new bed, so thank you Mr. Haller! It was all quiet this morning, I was having a lovely cup of Coffee and suddenly the peace was broken when I crash landed into that event, it was a bit like being visited by a gaggle of geese! The weekend is a good time to wake up slowly, drink a few cups of coffee and then perhaps spend a good few hours taking some pretty pictures and wasting a day lol... That's definitely my Sunday routine but this weekend I want a day of nothing-much-ness and I plan to do that by spending my time with my SL camera. Give me five minutes in my gorgeous little office to make sure my camera is all set up and ready to rock and roll...
I love this new pose from Come Soon by the way. It's called My Lens and it's available now at The Chapter Four until August 31st. As per usual, the Come Soon Poses come with a full scene or the pose on it's own, and as nice as the scene is I had to use this particular pose in my office! It was too much of a temptation to resist. I spend time here working on blogging stuff, working on Gator stuff, and in fact working on anything that I have to work on too LOL... It's my quiet place to get things done in. I'm not gonna list all of my little knick-knacks but if you want to know something in particular please do ask me... I have been good and listed all the big furniture pieces though... This is the most relaxed outfit I will be wearing today too I'm sure, have a lot of crazy photo ideas that need to be put into place and none of them require me to look comfortable...Guess I should enjoy the comfortable but adorable Frayed Denim Shorts from Mon Cheri, the overly huge sweater from WONDERLOST and the super cute Celie Sneakers from FLG while I can hehe... Fact you know what, before I do anymore I'm going to jump in the shower LOL... Let Rudh enjoy her comfort for just a little bit longer huh?! Finally I am starting to feel like I am coming back to normal... Being on a roller-coaster of emotions you know there can only be so long before you are rocketed back up to feeling somewhere close to normal, and even if you're really lucky - good! I'm smiling again at least, so that counts for something... I'm going to enjoy the run up to the weekend, and do so in a relaxing happy way... Starting this morning with a walk for my new friend!
LOL the morning walk, turned into an all day walk as I've been so busy all day dealing with RL work... My new friend didn't seem to mind though and in fact it seemed to make him happy. When my friends are happy, I'm happy, it's a good feeling... This awesome new friend of mine is in fact a couple pose prop from Come Soon, in a series called Holding Set. Being on my own, it's less couple more single, but I will include the official ad too... Just so that you can get a flair for what it actually looks like! Keeping it short today, but one thing's for sure... I'm glad tomorrow is Saturday!
