The other day I saw a trailer for the new Disney live-action Little Mermaid movie. I was, I have to admit, a little surprised to see that Arianna Grande has been cast as Ariel. OK so she can sing, after the Emma Watson as Belle debacle I can get the singing part but she can't act! Why didn't they find someone who can handle both?! They would have been better off asking Rudh to do it LOL... She can't sing, she can't act but least she has that Ariel feeling down pat... Channeling my inner Ariel today, I was kinda lead off the beaten patch, and well Triton said if I wanted to be up where the people are, I had to act like a normal person and get a job... I started my day job at the Marina Fuel...
Mermaid Princess by night, Marina Fuel Attendant by day... Beat that Daddy! The Marina Fuel is located off the coast of Baja Norte and it's a really useful filling station for all the thousands of boats around the Atlanian kingdom. The outfit that she chose to wear is actually one of her brand new purchases, it's a new release from Elegance Boutique that you can get your hands on now at Cosmopolitan. She's wearing a lined version, since it seems like a fairly nautical theme, but there are plain versions too and the bra tops are colour change so they can match your mood. Well last night was great, I'm not sure if you have seen it but I actually decided to share a little of my RL with you all last night and posted a picture that I took at a RL gig into my Flickr account. This morning though I am paying the price for that concert going addiction that I have because oh my gah I was suffering all night with terrible cramp in BOTH legs! Still this morning, waking up with a cup of tea and some toast I feel a little bit like I was in a different world last night. The band that I went to see was a band called Lordi - I posted a picture of the lead singer on Flickr last night - and they are a little Monstrous! Demonic Zombies that play some great music and put on a fun show! So you will have to excuse me for feeling like I'm in another world right now!
OK the world that Rudh is in is far from Demonic, but this Burtonesque world is still just as awesome. You can find this Burtonesque location at my favourite photo location - WHOLE WHEAT - where I really think that Tim Burton would feel they have done him proud! To fit with the location however, I needed something equally interesting to wear, and I got very lucky with this amazing outfit from Elegance Boutique - which I picked up the current round of Cosmopolitan. Luckily I was able to accessorise the bow of this Strange and Unusal Exile Hair to match!! It was like an outfit that was meant to be together... Everyone always seems so keen on shooting the messenger... Over the past few days I've noticed that it always seems really easy for someone to get mad at you when venting their frustrations, even though you may not be the root cause and may in fact be the one trying to help them. It's something I've noticed more and more with the job that I now have in Secondlife - I always feel so bad for the people that I am here to assist, especially as most of them have no knowledge of a virtual reality like Secondlife. Still, I have definitely learnt a little more about how to diffuse a situation and turn those frustrated people into happy campers... Rudh on the other hand is a cause of trouble LOL... Least she is today... Today she's been caught shooting, someone else moved in on her patch hehe...
Not her MC Patch - no one touches that - but her patch that she works in... All hookers have their patch right?! The place they like to go to scout for business! Rudh's patch of choice is at Dead End City, the perfect place for a hooker to watch the cars drive by... Someone was in her patch this morning... Someone is no longer an issue... The police are an issue! I need to find somewhere to stash my gun! The dress she chose to wear today is one from Elegance Boutique - I loved it because of the asymmetrical shape and the strapping. It can be dressed up or down due to the fabric textures used and it's a great dress, if you don't mind showing off your knickers! OR you could be daring like Rudh and go pantie free?! Talking of things being free though, hold my gun and I am running free LOL... Yesterday was EPIC... I turned 10 and entered the realm of the SecondLife Dinosaurs... Everything about yesterday was AWESOME though - aside from a drama hiccup that will remain forgotten because I cannot handle that kind of thought process right now - and I had the best present from my MC family... I'll tell you more about that in a minute, but there was one thing missing yesterday. One of the most important things that my 10 years in SL have brought me... HELLBONE!
HellBone is away on a road-trip with some of his RL Brothers and Sisters of the B.A.C.A, and he's left me at home in Holland. It was very strange not having him there with me whilst I celebrated such an important rezday, but we called and texted - and that is why this pose from Come Soon feels so perfect right now, he's away but I can still talk to him! The pose is a Come Soon called Broken - it was a release for the Manga Fair and I am hoping that it has been placed at the main store now that the event has closed. This pose as per usual with Come Soon poses includes a Full Scene, but I have to admit to you now that I did change up the furniture in the scene just a little bit! BUT on to the festivities... The MC hired an awesome tribute band we know, High Octane Tributes, to perform as Five Finger Death Punch - who aside from the Viking Cellists are my absolute favourites!
I stayed up far too late last night and as a result this morning I feel like I'm hungover LOL... Still I had and amazing time, and I am going to leave you now with a little FFDP!!! Thank you Gators and all my guests for an awesome Rezday, you started my 10th year with a BANG!
