Recharging the Harpies

Having one of those days where you need a little more magic in your life? I know that I have been feeling that way for a while now and I don't think there will be anything that I can get to happen anytime soon... 
So I'm going to have to get myself dragged into the Midnight Order and find the magic so that I can refind my own sparkle... 

The magic thats can only be found in the old Dany's Throne Room - a backdrop from K&S - is a draw to many that come to visit the Midnight Order. Today's visitor is one of the Galewing Harpies - with wings and jewels from aii at the current round of Midnight Order until February 20th - who has come to absorb some of the magic from the Leyline Table. It makes her glow, the halo glittering more as she recharges her magical batteries, I wish it was just as easy in RL...

Magical Sparkles at Midnight

It makes me laugh that you can tell the kind of day I've had when you look at my pictures... Today you can tell I've had a relaxing day off. My pictures are sparkling and magical, and I've let that Midnight Orderly magic power from my fingertips in my outfit creation and it's pink and sparkly and magical... It makes me happy... 

There is nothing better than letting the magic takeover, I LOVE when the magic of the Midnight Order becomes a picture like the one I made today... The fact that there is so much PINK involved was not planned, as we all know that pink is the root of all evil but evil and magic can be two of my favourite things...

Bored Little Sun Goddess

I'm struggling a bit today, my back hurts and I'm tired and I think I have a little bit of the S.A.D that is so common at this time of year. I'm trying hard to carry on and hoping that everything will feel better when the sun comes out again but for now I'm hiding from the dark with a good book and a cuppa tea, and waiting for the Sun Goddess to make an appearance... 

The Sun Goddess seems to be getting a little bored at the moment... Maybe that's why the weather is so gray and dark... She's bored since these days there are a lot less human sacrifices to provide her with hearts for her fun. Things are no longer the same as the way they were when the Aztecs built shrines - like the one from DROT at The Warehouse Sale - dedicated to their goddesses, especially the Sun Goddess... 
She's taking her need for hearts into her own hands, collecting them herself to keep the glittering of her wings alive...

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

There are two sides of my mind right now... One says, "WOW 2024 has been a damn long year with lots of ups and downs and boy I'm glad it's over", the other says "Pfft where the heck did 2024 go and has Christmas come and gone already?"... There's a bigger part of me that's wondering how in the heck the Millennium was 25 years ago, and the fact that we're starting 2025 with a WTF week doesn't bode well... Last time we had a WTF week, we had the Corona outbreak... I know we don't need another one of those, but I will say it might be nice to be forced to stay at home for a while LOL... Now it's time to close our eyes and make a wish... 

Normally I wouldn't be sending my New year wishes and thoughts for prosperity so early. We stil have a few days of 2024 to go before we slip into the new year, but I won't be around and won't have access to the PC from tomorrow. HellBone and I are disappearing to the wilds of Wales, on a family visit with my parents and my sister in her new home... It's something I've been looking forward to for a long time, and no matter that it's not going to be a restful trip it will be a change, and a change is as good as anything... 
For now, I'll enjoy the sparkles, send out many wishes and much love and say Happy New Year everyone. May your evening and start of the new year be good to you, sending you hugs and hope you'll be here to see meand my rambling antics again when I'm back for some fun new adventures...

Flakes on the Fae

I felt like doing something a little goofy but the way I become a goofy little snow fae, dancing around on the breeze with the other snow flakes in the softly falling snow was a lot less goofy, if you discount my cheeky grin... I LOVE being a little icy this time of year, I'm definitely better when it's cold...

She's such a pretty cold thing, like Elsa said "the cold never bothered me anyway" and I think even though the little flake fae has a touch of the frostbite - a layer created by The Rotting Lab - and she's covered in Snow, she's still able to smile... 
Her accessories all assist in her manufacture of the snow flakes... Aiode Flakes - from random.Matter at the current Santa Inc event which runs until January 2nd - in her jewellery to help her create the magical flakes, and the Snowbell Glasses - from Violetility at The Warehouse - which not only create the sounds of snow fall but also protect her eyes from snow blindness...

Flames of Destruction

The high season has started at work and things are getting busy. We are running late shifts, and we have people that are coming in and rather than being polite when it comes to tastings there are people that think of it as a free lunch. We are even staying open until 8PM and that means I'm not walking in my front door, until 9.30. By that time I should already be in my pyjamas, cuddling a cup of tea and getting ready for bed... I'm not happy and things are only just starting to heat up... 

If things continue to get frustrating, if people continue not to listen and act like animals with disgusting eating habits and people that let their children run riot, I'm going to start seeing red. Any worse I'll be burning the place to the ground but to stop things getting to me I'm going to give them hell... Metaphorically you understand, not physically like I want to with a HUGE weapon like the Bitch Grinder that Rudh found - an old gacha weapon from AsteroidBox - and I'm sure is something that I could do some serious damage with... 
Although unlike me in my cheesy uniform, Rudh will be able to burn the ground in the Engine Room Steampunk style...

The Blood Moon lures in the Vamps...

As the spooky month draws ever closer, we have just a few days and the season officially starts, and I CANNOT wait. They say that Christmas is the most wonderful time of the year, but I beg to differ, I believe that they got confused, it's clearly Halloween first then Christmas... 
The monster in me cannot wait until it starts and she's busy getting herself prepped for the events that will soon be unfolding. The moon is also getting ready for the fun, it's painting itself red and to lure out the blood-thirsty vamps... 

The moon turning a blood red seems to be a sign to lure these vamps out of their Final Rest - a backdrop from FOXCITY - and even though she's restrained, bound in cuffs and wearing a muzzle, she is dressed to celebrate the Spooky Season. She's all dressed up wearing with the most amazing of Vamp Dress clubwear - from Neverwish, available at Salem - and accessorised herself with the cutest of Coffin Pochette purses - from Boutique #187 at Planet29 - and her faithful swarm of Bats that became something of a Bats Aura - from Moon Rabbit at Salem - all she needed now, before the festivities of the party season was something delicious to sate her appetite, perhaps a little SickLove...

Strangers in the Junk Yard

It's been raining hard here for the last few days, it's been raining so much it's very torrential and it's bringing with it the cooler air. There's more than the drumming of rain on the ground though, if you listen carefully the drumming is heralding the arrival of a steampunk phenomenon... An Engine Room is coming and the steampunk brigade is coming to town... I had things to do to prepare, I had things o do to make sure I'm ready and able to welcome the new, shiny brass... For right now though, I decided to take my puppy for a walk and enjoy the cool crisp air... 

I decided to take my puppy, Fluffy, for a walk in the Junk Yard - a backdrop, and pose set actually, from Synnergy.Tavis that is available at the Cake Day Event until September 29th - I wanted to pick myself up some pretty decor to welcome the Engine Room guests. 
Whilst wandering through the cars in the dripping rain, I blinked more than once as there was the strangest of men standing there, looking at me with one large eye... The strangest part was that the Eye, was in the middle of a TV screen, he was a TV MAN - from What's Lost Spirits, that will be available at the opening of Engine Room on September 20th. He seemed to be having a little trouble, his cable was sparking in the rain, he looked like he needed to find somewhere to dry off... Fluffy and I decided to take him home.

She's a Cow-Girl!

I love an event with a good theme, something which all of the participating designers actually ahear to. There used to be so many events that did, but now everything just seems to be a little more of an organized chaos.Yet sometimes the event organization teams kick it up a notch, Anthem has kicked it up a few notches, and we've been transported to the Wild West. 
It's Cowboys time, were heading to a rodeo, where the cattle are roaming free and there is an abundance of tassles and denim and leather. I've never really felt confident in country style gear, but well I had to give it a go... Rudhish Country Style! 

When I say that it's a Rudhish twist, I mean that this Cowgirl is actually as much a cow as she is a cow herder... She's an adorable little cow, dressed in the coolest of cowgirl fashions. 
Thanks to Anthem, she's decked out in an adorable new outfit from miss chelsea called Orla. You can get shorts with a lasso, an adorable bodysuit and a cute rope necklace in this set in various colours so things can be mix-n-matched! I did a little more accessorizing with the addition of an Oakley Hat - that comes with the wig from Wasabi - and some adorable Fringe Sleeves - from MICHAN... 
The look made her happy, the cows seemed happy too, though perhaps they were more interested in the bunch of daisies that I had picked as I was visiting them in the paddock...

Faking the Fireflies

I've finished work for the week, and although I only did very short hours, I am feeling kinda worn out. I want to do something relaxing and chillaxing, find my inner peace... 
I think I'm going to wander out into the night and collect up some more fireflies, I need some more of natures fairylights... 

There's nothing more relaxing than freewheeling on a bicycle in the evening through the peaceful fields - a backdrop from Synnergy really - to the perfect spot where the fireflies gather... 
Curling up in the long grass, listening to the pretty sounds of the evening, the smell of the flowers in the air and an empty jar waiting to hold some new fairylights... 
I've been told that the best way to lure in the fireflies is with a light that looks like a larger version of themselves... It seemed like the perfect time to whip out the Party Sparklers - from Moon Rabbit, available at Cosmopolitan until May 28th - they look like held fireflies don't they?!

April Fool's with Friends

April Fools Day... April 1st, has become a day when pranks are played on the unsuspecting... Sometimes these are fun, silly little jokes, but others have been known to cause so much pain and upset - you hear about people doing things like faking pregnancies, which is just low and a horrendous thing to do - and it causes so much distrust. I really don't mind the harmless pranks and love things that are a little silly though, hence why today, I'm going to be a little silly...

I invited my brand new friends over for a little dinner... My new Animal Lamp - a new release from Boutique #187 at Harajuku Box - friends are coming to try a special dish. I found it in a cook book that was left in a box by the trash, the recipes were perfect for today's occasion, I found this awesome recipe for Spaghetti Weenie Jello - I fell in love with this release from Junk Food, I dunno why but it's brilliant and super silly! I got dressed for a party - a cute Tie Dye Tank from Neverwish, and a fancy disguise from Cute Cvlt - and headed out to wait for my new friends who arrived on flying flowers and leaves!! 
The flowers and leaves - from Ananas in the "Nature's Ride" collection - are actually made for people to ride on, they are big enough for a big butt like mine and they are fun to fly through the flowers this spring...

Snowflake kisses on my cheeks...

Oooooh one of the best things about Second Life at this time of year is the snow... I HATE snow in RL because even though it looks pretty I know I'm always scared that I'm going to slip over and hurt myself, but in SL though it's a totally different story. I LOVE being out in the snow, dancing around and watching the flakes fall. Even the darkest little versions of me cannot help but smile as the soft white flakes kiss my skin... 

At Moochie, where 'Tis the Season, while out on a walk in the woods, looking for a quite place to commune with the moon goddess, the little dark being that I am wandered into a clearing and suddenly the snowflakes were kissing her cheeks... The smile was instant, proving that even the creatures of the dark cannot resist this pretty white stuff!

Beep! Beep! Outta the way...

BEEP! BEEP!! Outta the way, Rudhie's on the move and she's coming through biatches!!! 

She's driving here and she often confuses the break with the gas pedal! BEEP BEEP!!! 

The small, quiet, town of Garrigua doesn't realise what has hit them, as Rudh cruises around town like a bat out of hell in her adorable little Moon Rabbit BabyCar, in it's bright happy yellow colour... I'm not sure the locals like it much by the way the locals are watching her in the distance, but her little Boston Pup - from Foxwood at Kustom9 - friend seems to be loving the wind through his fur!!
