Warning Signs in the Club Tonight!

I may have had the day off today but I've been a busy girl... I'm trying to keep myself occupied at the moment, living in this craphole of a flat... They even asked me if I'd be interested in covering shifts downstairs, and I KNOW the moment that they get me on their list that any time it's busy I WILL be called to come downstairs and help any time it's busy. No thank you, really... I don't want that at all... 
If I was going to take on another job it would be something totally different from the work I already do, aside from the fact that I am entertaining people as they buy cheese, I think I'd need to do something of a little different sort of entertainment?! 

When I first started Second Life, I like a lot of people started as a dancer and an escort. I read a LOT of smut and love it in lots of different forms. I was always a rather bad girl, until I settled down with my hubby that is captain vanilla and like a big teddybear... I love him, don't me wrong but I'm kinda dying to be a bad girl LOL... Maybe that's the new job I've got to start... Maybe I should go back to being an escort and let the bad girl run free... 
It's play time - as the signs on the toy shelves from Krescendo - state, and this club is known to get a little wild... While the money rains down, as I take a moment to sit comfortably - in a pose from piXit - and get a lot of attention just for eating one of the club's Naughty Waffles - from everfaery at this month's round of Lewd Station... It's true what some say, food kinks are the best paying kinks hehe... I will have to put up some signs to warn people about any wetness that may be present around the stage!!!

Toxicity in the Engine Room

I am a few days late but the Engine Room has opened it's doors into the world of Second Life and there are lots of amazing things in the treasure trove to be discovered, as well as so many interesting new characters to meet... I cannot wait to meet them all, the rag-tag bunch of Steampunkish, colourful characters are bursting through the doors of this event and introducing us all to the magic of the Engine Room... 

The first of the crazy beings that we see through the doors of the Engine Room is the metalized Machina NOVA - named for the outfit she's wearing from Madame Noir, and the skin at the skin set from SOMEONE, both of which are available at Second Life Syndicate's Engine Room - with the toxic touch - thanks to the DeadBoy, also at Engine Room - who is the controller of the Time Spinner - by Static - that she wears proudly as her halo... 
This magical being can be found hiding out in the sewers - a backdrop from Dirty Rat by the way - of Second Life whilst the event is open, and she will be creating and providing the grid with lots of fresh toxic waste, brewed up in her Industrial Alembic - from MoonSha - for the best power to run the grid...

It's My Birthday!

Breaking News, not just in Second Life but in Real Life too... 
The big news is that your girl, the randomest rambler of the blogging world - yes a big statement and I doubt it's true but I'm feeling a little silly right now - has been celebrating her birthday today... The random rambler has finally stepped out of her 30s and today she is starting her 40th year... 

I've spent a VERY long time in SL now, I've been here through my 21st birthday, and through years of work and marriage, and lots of friendships, but I WOULDN'T change a thing. I celebrated today with my hubby, that I met in SL, I spoke to my bestie that I know from years and years of Second Life friendship and I have had such a lovely day... It's been so nice I don't want to go back to work tomorrow LOL... Still for now, would anyone like a piece of cake to help me celebrate?!

Bloomy & Pixie

There's magic in the air tonight... There's something brewing and there may be big news tomorrow... Something that will affect me, more than anyone else but for now the calm has come before the storm, and the storm is brewing... I needed a break from things that were chaotic, work was yuck and I wanted to slip away into a little fantasy tonight... I needed some breathing space, so I took a walk in the garden... I was not expecting to meet something magical... 

In the garden of the farm I'm currently inhabiting, I was watching the sunset behind the gorgeous Faelight Crystal Lanterns - from Simply Shelby at We Love Roleplay until March 28th - and a little movement caught my eyes.

St.Patrick's Day

It's St.Patrick's Day today... Traditionally only a special day in Ireland, it seems like it's slowly seeping out into the world, and I kinda get the feeling it's become more of a thing in America now than Ireland even. Maybe I'm wrong, but anyone that I spoke to today that seemed to be celebrating was not current Irish but of Irish decent... Funny how traditions shift and change throughout the world isn't it? Wonder why St.Patrick's Day become such a phenomenon, but things like St.George's Day - which is a patron saint day of the English - for example, was less of a thing... I mean everyone celebrates their own chosen things, personally outside of SL I wouldn't be doing anything for St.Patrick's Day but in SL is a whole different story... 

I've seen so many people partying and enjoying their St.Patrick's Day celebrations in Second Life and I think that's bloody awesome... I really do... I've always been like that and lately I'm a LOT less like the party animal I once was. I spend far too much time on my own at the moment, I think I should make some new friends or hang out with the old ones that I still have... I wanted to do something different, something more my usual loner style at the moment... Something with a hint of magic, something to test myself with practising decor pictures... 
Today, I heard a noise in the shed... When I snuck down there was a magical air to the place, the table top where I am learning the new art of flower pressing and drying for arts sake had some gorgeous little bright green shamrocks all over it... Gold coins glittered in the rainbow light, and there was a mysterious hat on the table that wasn't there when I left the shed earlier... 
So for now I'm going to set up a trap and wait to see if there is a Leprechaun exploring my shed, until then, Happy St.Patrick's Day...

Send in the Clowns

You know how you can tell when I have days normally, because my pictures tend to be a little more of the crazy and wild and adventurous. I have had such a productive day today and managed to take so many pictures so that I am prepared and ready whenever the blogging desire takes me... 
Today was a special day, I started putting things on and randomly... BOOM I was lost in a magical world of wonder, chaos and entertainment... Today, somehow I ended up being swept away to the Circus... 

I know it's weird but I always end up thinking of horror when I think of the circus, I guess it's something to do with IT and a dislike of clowns but then again there is another side to the circus that is sparkle and glamour and glitz... The tight-rope walker, the lion tamer, the trapeeze artist and the ringmaster, it's not all creepy clowns and horrible pranks... 
So today I'm in the Big Top - which is a backdrop from Synnergy.Tavis - trying to decide if I want to go down my usual route of a horror circus with the Circus Rot clown twins, or head to somewhere sparkly for a carnival style celebration...

A Trashy Kind of Day!

I need to take a moment to send a message to anyone reading that I'm sorry for being a bit of a Debbie Downer at the moment... I'm trying to keep mysef swimming but at the moment I'm barely able to find the energy to doggy paddle so that my head stays above water... It's just a lot going on at the moment, I'm kinda done with the stress of living here - you may have already guessed this fact - and soon I'm going to be reaching 40 and all I want for my birthday is a cuddle from my mummy... I cannot get one... I feel icky and gross and want to hide away from the world... 

I have been so stressed and getting frustrated, but I think that I'm going to just hide away for a while... I'll curl up somewhere dark maybe in a place I belong, like in a garbage bin like a piece of Premium Trash - as the set that is aptly named from piXit - as it's where I belong since I got mad and ripped up poor lil teddy... He was only trying to comfort me... I feel so bad about it, but please don't come at me, your opinions of my grumpy mood can be left in the Opinion Bin beside me - a release from Krescendo, for this month's FaMESHed - and since I'll probably get bored sitting here, with no one to talk to now that teddy is toast I will read them shortly...

Jason Bearhees on Friday the 13th

It's Friday the 13th, the second one this year so far, and once again my hubby has decided that tonight he's going to scare the pants off me and make me watch another Jason Voorhees movie special. It's worse watching it here, I'm not in my normal home in the middle of a housing estate...Right now I'm in the middle of nowhere lol... 
I had to do something a little cuter to make this evening a little less scary... 

Luckily, one of the makers of the cutest things in Second Life has stepped in to help with that, and created a super special Friday the 13th group gift... Jason Bearhees - the current group gift from Tardfish - is a cute, cuddly, dancing version of our favourite slasher man... Yes he is armed with a rather large knife but his skills at slashing and slaying are much more suited to his killer dance moves... 
Rather than stalking people in the woods and making them jump, he's the kind of cutie killer that will lurk around the roots - a collection from Static, available at The Warehouse until March 18th - of the giant trees outside his Creepy Cabin - a backdrop from Bad Unicorn - and wait to dance until the sun rises...

A Tear and A Ted

I have had a day that has been a little mixed emotion-wise. Today was the funeral of an old family friend in the UK, he was someone I grew up with a little like an extra uncle and his wife was someone that I was very close to. She has been a rock for my mum whilst mum is undergoing her chemo treatments and I cannot be at home to help her. So it's been a day of thinking of the lady he left behind, the memories I have of him in the background of my childhood and my mother, who knew him well and is trying to keep her friend supported in this difficult time.. It's times like this when I HATE being so far away from the family. It's times like this when I feel like I'm not doing enough, and not being a good, supportive daughter... I'm trying not to cry as I say this but I miss my parents more than anything at the moment... 

I think I'm just feeling highly emotional... I turn 40 next Thursday and I won't be seeing my family. It's UK mother's day on Sunday and I won't be seeing my mother, and I guess I'm a little jealous that she's going to be seeing my sister instead but it's easier to go to her between chemo treatments than come all the way to Amsterdam. I'm living in a place that I don't like, that has no privacy and feels like I am CONSTANTLY at work. There are other things too but I am going to get through this and things will be better by the end of the year, I live in hope... 
I needed someone to love me, I needed to feel cozy and comfortable and cuddled... Teddy Bears and cuddly toys have always been my friend in this. I have lots and will keep collecting them and I cuddle them all, despite the fact that I am nearly 40. It is always a nice feeling to have something soft and sweet and friendly to cuddle, right?! For now, until I get a chance to see the family, facetime on the phone and cuddling teddies is the best that it's going to get...

Collecting the Snacks

Another day off and one again all I could seem to think about was food... I WAS STARVING but as per usual I didn't have anything in the house that I wanted to eat LOL. Is that just the case for me or does everyone suffer this fate? I've never been a dieter, always allowing myself the things I like to eat but do it in moderation, if I didn't and tried to stop myself the moment that I'd get my hands on what I was craving I'd go crazy and eat far too much of it, but I still get times like this when the one thing that I want to eat is the one thing that we don't have in the house... 
So what did I actually want to eat... I'm not even sure I knew that and could tell you lol... 

I had to thinkof things that would distract me... It's not easy when I'm living in this current situation, I know I'm lucky to have a place to live but I really wish I could be moving back home already, and I can't even do what I'd normally do and play loud music to pay attention to other things. I cannot risk causing any disruption to the customers in the shop below the flat, or my boss will be pissed... 
So headphones are a permanent fixture on my head now, and today it was all about the loud emo rock of my teens... As I'm heading towards being 40, I am very much regressing back into my childhood loves LOL... Loud rock music, Cold coffee and Burgers till I pop...

An Elemental in the Moonight

Can you tell that today was one of my days off? I'm not feeling so tried and finding it hard to find words for everything that I want to say... I'm happy after a long, lazy day off... It was lovely, and it helped me find the magic in my mind and let my magic come to life... 

I closed my eyes and let my mind wander to magical places... It lead to a walk in the midnight forest - a photobooth from FOXCITY called "Midnight" - and after stepping into the forest the fae took control calling her inner fae within her soul... Once her magic took control she found her dance through the forest to be more connected to the Earth Elemental - a collection released from Faunus, worn with a beautiful Eileen Gown  also from Faunus - and she danced in the moonlight...

Tulip Season!

The sun has been shinging so much lately and it really feels like feels like the Spring has finally sprung  around here. I love all of the flowers that seem to be popping up, and brightening up the world and I SERIOUSLY think there are so many peopleout there that need to stop and smell the flowers. The world is a scary place right now, and things are chaos and it's more than a little scary. We all need to stop and smell the flowers... 

One of the best places to get themselves a lovely place to stop and smell the flowers is very close to where I am currently living... The area surrounding the farm I'm staying on is surrounded by row upon row of tulip fields apparently. I'm waiting to see all the colours pop, everything looks a little too green at the moment... 
I'm going to wait until it's just right and then head out into the fields to get myself one of those instagram pinterest style aesthetic photos... 
If I can't in RL then I may well just do it in Second Life... I have the perfect outfit all ready, a cute little Posy Set - from miss chelsea, available until March 30th at Anthem - and I'm ready to stop and smell the flowers, making sure that I have some to take home...

Magic and Mirages

After a lovely long day off, I've decided to just take life slowly for a few days... Work and living in this camping place - it's not camping but it feels like I'm living in a holiday home - are beginning to grind on me... I don't like it here, I HATE living somewhere there is little to no privacy during the day, and I am clinging to the sanctity of when the shop shuts... During the day, I find myself hiding out, day dreaming and willing the time away so that I can do chores I need to do... 

While I was lazing today, I spent a lot of time reading books... I can't deny that I'm not minding too much with the relaxing that I'm being forced to do lol... It's definitely making my mind wander to far off places as I lose my mind in the fantasy of my books. 
Today, I was lost in a world of something similar to Aladdin's Arabian Nights. I think that for some reason I let my mind drift into that place because I put on a pair of flats in the new Bloom Set - created by The Kiwi Co - and although there's no jeans in Aladdin, I just let my mind drift... It didn't help that I picked up a Genie's Lamp from the table, I was still shocked to see a Genie appear... It all lead to a little imagination and a Mirage of Marrakesh...

Sheep Counting Shepherdess

Today was my day off, I spent the day doing things to relax when I wasn't working on getting the house work done... I wanted to sleep, I wanted to curl up and hide under a blanket and not come out... When I did try to take a nap, there was far too much on my mind and I couldn't get myself to fall asleep if I even tried... 

I had to reach out and seek a little assistance... I reached out to someone I KNEW might help me and she took a few minutes but then took a long time rounding up her herd... Death Loses His Angel

It's the start of March, and therefore the high season for me starts as it's the start of my Birthday month and the start of the end of my 30s... On March 19th, I turn 40... I cannot wait to celebrate this amazing new chapter in my life, but I'm kinda wishing this year would be done already... Now things are getting a bit worrying as Anna - my darling little kitty - is wobbling on her feet and I'm a bit scared for her too... So I'm starting my month with the amazing death of my 30s... 

Death has been having a field day but today, the death of his beautiful angel of death... The girl of the shoulder that she sits on is about to enter her 40s causing her a massive amount of shock lol... He's broken, he is shedding a tear and on his knees to worship the loss of his gorgeous angel... Killing Cupid

It is hard to believe that it's almost the end of February already and that means we're already two months down and into the third month of the year. March is one of the most important month's of the year, since it's my Birthday month and this year I'll be a number that rhymes with sporty... First though there is ONE thing that I have to do before we end out February... 

I need to rid us of that annoying little thing that has been buzzing around us for the month, and that means someone perhaps me, needs to get rid of that little Cupid... Tanuki Sushi

Dinner time in the flat has been a little weird, I'm so not happy with cooking in the airfryer so if you have any recipies for air fryer recipies please let me know... I wish I could just live on take-out so I don't have to cook in the flat... I haven't even tried cooking in the kitchen since we've lived here and that's because it's shared with the shop staff and kinda gross too... I have cravings, and I feel like tonight I SHOULD head to that new little Japanese restaurant in town... 

Looking on the menu posted on the door it looks like it's a Sushi Bar - which is the backdrop from Synnergy.Tavis - called the Tanuki Sakura Sushi Bar. A Queen in Hiding!

Finally a day off and I had the chance to have a lay in. It was blissful, until we heard the staff of the shop below arriving for work and disturbing the wonderful slumber... It was so lovely cuddling up with Hell and my cat,and then reality came through and we had to go to our house and do some of the final work before we handover the keys next week... The first thing I NEED to do though is get a very, large cup of coffee... 

Even though I'm happy to have a day off and had a bit of a lay in, I'm still bloody exhausted and I know that HellBone is too...

Gifts of the Gods

It's been a while since I did something that lt my fantasy side out to play and for some reason I found myself veering towards the magical, dream-like and fanstastical... I had no idea where I would go, but my mind lead me to something a little God-like... Not any modern god either, this one was a little historical magic... 

I think that today though, the magic did have some kind of base in reality... My feet are hurting after a long day of work and well... I kinda wished for magical gifts of shoes from the gods... Little did I know that it was the Egyptian gods that were listening and that they'd grant me the magic of their people to walk on...

Chinese New Year

It feels like a lot is happening all at once in a Spiritual sense at the moment... There are so many different religious and cultural things going on in the world at the same time right now and it feels kinda different that everyone is celebrating something spiritual all at once. It would be nice if it would unite the world a little more, bring us all together since we're all a little closer to our spirituality right now but I doubt very much that will be the case since we all feel so broken... 

Now I know that I am NOT a religious person. I definitely believe in spiritual things, I am always going to believe in fairies and magic, and I LOVE all of the stories from different religions that are uplifting and full of meaning, and I REALLY hope I'm not going to cause offence but I don't like to think anyone's beliefs are more important than anyone elses... I love that we can all be different and believe what we choose, so long as it doesn't harm anyone - yes I KNOW that Wars are constantly, even now, being fought over religious reasons - but it would be such a boring world to live in, if EVERYONE thought the same, believed in the same, dressed the same or acted in the same way... That's my 10cents anyway...
I'm not trying to offend anyone, but I wanted to look a little at some of the current spirituality taking place that I know little about... Besides things I learnt at school there is SO MUCH TO KNOW about two big things taking place right now... Today I will be looking a little at the Chinese Lunar New Year.
So, for us that are not in the know, what is Chinese New Year?
Well apparently it's the most important Chinese Holiday, covering 15 days to celebrate the start of the Lunar New Year, and this year it started on February 17th - yes I KNOW I'm two days late, but I'm moving houses at the moment, give me some slack lol... The reason for the celebration is that it's a start of change, it celebrates family - often honouring ancestors - saying goodbye to the old and welcoming the new fortune for the new year. The whole celebration will culminate 15 days after it starts - so that's March 3rd - with the Lantern Festival!
Another interesting thing that I've often seen but never really thought much of, is that the Chinese Zodiac characters are animal based. Now there is a LOT of information about this, and I could basically write a whole other blog post for it, but this year is the year of the Horse - apparently as I was born in 1986 I am from the year of the Fire Tiger! 
Anyway, thank you for listening to me ramble and learn something new as I went along, I actually really enjoyed looking into something I knew little about and putting together a post for it. I think I will try it more often, and don't worry as always there will be something pretty to look at with a list of what I've got in the picture too... Just accept my ramblings LOL you know you want to...

Slowly Moving In

It's kinda happened, HellBone and I have almost finished moving into the most different location from our real house, and it's feeling a LOT like we are on holiday at the moment... I don't think the cat has even started to fully understand that we are here for a while and she keeps waiting near any door that she hasn't explored behind yet...
He had to go out for work today and left me to settle in, do some unpacking and try to find my place here, whilst keeping the cat calm... That's what I was supposed to do... It didn't really pan out that way... 

I spent a LOT of my day doing things to settle us in, and make it feel a little more homey... The rest of the day, I spent a fair amount of time laid back on my bed reading a book to look after the cat...

Go Away Cupid!

It's Valentine's Day but it's ben a long hard day for me at work and now I'm more than happy to curl up with a delivery pizza and an episode of the random crap that I am currently binge watching. Tomorrow is a HUGE day for us, tomorrow is moving day and we're both a little knackered but all will be OK and once we're moved things SHOULD calm down a little... I hope... For now though, I don't need any hearts and romance, all I want is a chance to curl up and get comfy... 

I'm so lucky that I'm done playing the Second Life Dating Game... Hell was someone I met in SL 16 years ago now and though we started as friends, I've been his RL missus for almost all of that time! I met him in RL as a friend, we parted ways as a couple and had a long distance thing for 6 months before he asked me to move in, not just his home but to his homeland... I'll never call myself Dutch, but here I am... 
The SL Dating Game - which in the picture happens to be a blaink backdrop - always felt like such hard work, and you hear so many things going round about people cheating and lying and causing drama to those that are looking for love... I often feel like it would be a lost cause for me if I had to try again, and I'd rather go on a TV dating show like the 1990's Blind Date with Cilla Black LOL... 
Still, Cupid - and his companions like those released from MishMish, available until March 6th at Collabor88 - needs to stay well away from me, I'm happy in what I got even though it's not perfect. I've been told the "Love is in the Air Spray" - from MIDNA  - is the best form of repellant against the little beasties...

Valentine Treats

Tomorrow is Valentine's Day and I am working and we are moving on Sunday so I have no plans to do much of anything... PLUS I don't really like Valentines anyway, unless you haven't guessed it. I'm not totally anti it, I definitely believe in love but I don't really feel ike Love should just be celebrated on one day... Love is an eternal thing, a thing that should be cherished always... So I'm celebrating the sweetness, the adorableness, and the happiness, all the while my Hubby is watching Friday the 13th and scaring the shit out of me LOL... 

So normally I'd wait until after Valentine's to get my hands on TONNES of discounted chocolates that I needed but sometimes in the middle of al of the chaos a girl needs a little chococlate treat... Now I am planning to do something delicious with all of that Valentine's Candy but I wanted it to be something a little different too, after all, it's not your everyday run of the mill boring kinda candy... 
Maybe I'll enjoy a little Halloween Candy Fondue... Some yummy sweet treats for dipping in the melted chocolate and plenty of lovehearts all around... It all smells so delicious and sweet that it's lured in the Sweet in Pink Flying Hearts - which are part of a set of good and bad hearts from Snuggle&Co for the current group gift - who want to join in the Valentine's Sweet Treat...

Wandering into Wonderland

Honestly I'm OVER Valentine's already but wanted to do something with hearts and flowers and a little cuteness to at least try and stay with the romantic feels... I spent a long time dreaming of what I could do that would make me smile and feel a little less grumpy than I have been and I seem to have drifted off into a dream land... When I woke up I was drifting into a magical place, a Wonderland of my own... 

The mirror in my room, started to get a little hazy, there was a certain amount of magic that seemed to be floating through the mirror and so I decided to let it see where it would take me and what wonderful things would happen... The mirror's reflection drew me in, as I got close it started to change, and before I knew it, I was stepping through into Wonderland... 
As I stepped through, the mirrors magic dressed me for the part, an outfit fit for Lewis Carroll himself and most wonderfully weird and wonderful imaginings...

The Anti-Valentine

Valentine's is getting nearer, you can hear it sneaking up on us a little like the Jaws theme is playing on repeat in the background, and honestly as much as I'm trying to enjoy the festivities in SL, I'm distracted and acting a LOT more like a grumpy Anti-Valentine... There is still a little magic to be had for the Anti-Valentine though, and since the Midnight Order is a perfect place for people to seeking something dark and deadly, and the Anti-Valentine is more than willing to help... 

So within the Damirin Halls - which are actually a backdrop by The Bearded Guy - in the Midnight Order's hallowed halls, there are lots of remnants of the Blood Magic of the old Magic Clans... 
The Anti-Valentine is a little Devilish with her red, bloody skin, and wilted roses litter her blood stained wings.
