Calling the Spirits to get me Online!

Since SL is having a bit of a booboo crap day, I'm going to have to pull out all the magical stops to try to get myself in world... I'm trying everything, Card tricks, witchcraft, voodoo and now I'm going to take one final reach into my bag of tricks and see if a little conversation with the spirits won't help me?! 
Time to reach for my Ouija board and have a little chit chat... Something along the lines of "Anything you can do to get me into SL right now?!"

Standing over her mixing bowl to cast a spell and draw the spirits in - thanks to an awesome pose from Image Essentials called The Sorceress - once they are warmed up, she keeps the Ouija board close to her chest, carved into her chest - thanks to Dappa - so that she can make the call any time!
She reaches up to her head and removes her planchette to make the call...

All I See Is Red Roses

I'm one of those people that creates lots of different looks and photographs them so that I have all kinds of different things ready to ramble on about depending on my mood. Today though is one of those days when I'm looking at all the pictures, thinking to myself "what the hell do I wanna blog today?" I KNOW I wanna do something, but I have no idea what, so you're getting a random look of the day out of me today and I hope that you like it LOL... I know I love what I've chosen, maybe you will too?! 
It's something a little bit dark, a little bit macabre but also in a weird twisted way, it's kinda cute too... It's also making me sing songs from Disney's Alice in Wonderland - the original - about Painting Roses Red LOL... 

The look was one that started because of a dress. A dress by a designer that was taking a bit of an SL design break, but couldn't resist dipping her top in the water again for The Dark Style Fair - which runs until May 22nd by the way. I cannot say that I blame her, I mean I get itchy when I don't blog, so no wonder she came out of design hiatus to create a little something that scratches that itch!
OK, enough rambling, the dress in question is one by adoness called Mortalia. It comes in a range of different colours - on black but the colour variation in in the Roses just so you know - and it features an adorable skeleton and rose design, which as you may have guessed is where the rose thing came in LOL...
Then I simply had to accessories with more roses, including the awesome "All I see" Eye Accessory from Ama, which you can also get your hands on at The Dark Style Fair, and some pretty roses that accessories this La Bella Donna Hair from Clawtooth.
It was at that point that I decided I needed to hunt for a background... I found the perfect place. It's a little wedding chapel tucked away down a back alley at WHOLE WHEAT and it's FULL of roses!!! It was a match made in heaven for my outfit LOL...
One last thing before I leave... Am I mean enough to share the Alice in Wonderland song that's been stuck in my head since I made this picture?? YES, Yes I am!!!

Eye Eye!!

I know that Halloween is now over, and I know that there have been so many monstrous looks on my blog this past month, but I want to let you know now that they will not be stopping just yet... I have plans and MUCH more to share with you LOL... So hold on to your hats, the Monsters are still coming! 
You should know me by now, I LOVE playing dress-up, this month a lot of my monsters have been kinda dark but there are also a few light comical monster mes that should be shared with you... LOL This one could fit in at my favourite - wish I'd had them instead of stupid Barbie when I was a kid - RL Doll Range, Monster High! I'd fit right in with this look I'm sure hehe... 

The location - Halloween Town - was totally perfect for this photo backdrop... Unfortunately the sim is no longer available to visit as the team behind this location have stripped it bare and started to work on their Christmas Extravaganza! I cannot wait to see that, the thought that Christmas is coming so fast totally scares me but hey ho... 
With her Just for Kicks Hairstyle - a Clawtooth original - and her dripping dolly wounds - some of my favourite scars from antielle - this little Cyclops Monster is really rocking the shocking red and green combination! I LOVE THE COMBINATION lol... The shocking green of this Soul Designs "Meghan" Split Tank when I put it with the red hair and then accessorised it with this adorable Eyeball Bag and pair of crimson Mina Heels from Reign, brought such a huge smile to my face... The icing on the cake however was this AMAZING Cyclops Mask... It's a Freebie - believe it or not - from Schadenfreude for the Trunk or Treat event, and the eye can be changed to a selection of different colours! Green had to be the colour I chose but the red looks scary too!! Such an awesome free gift - free is such a wonderful word isn't it! What an awesome way to start a week!
Then seeing her strut around this adorable little Halloween Town was just perfect!!! I couldn't help but share it with you!!!

Rolling through the Orders...

As soon as I saw this dress I thought of Grease, and as soon as I'd chosen the location in which to blog this dress I thought of Grease... I KNOW this is bad of me, as the rockabilly look is MUCH MUCH MUCH more interesting than the movies, but it's not much of a style that I have a lot to do with so it baffles me a little bit...
Yet when I was sent one of the newer releases from The Untitled I simply had to get my Grease on hehe...

At the Retroville diner, the waitresses roll around on Secret Store skates, and dress in the latest fashions...
The dress, as I have mentioned, is a newish release from The Untitled... The Date Night dresses are available in a range of different colours, but I just LOVED the blue and it's varying shades of blue dots! Plus it just looked SO perfect as the uniform for this waitress in the diner hehe... 
If you love that Rockabilly look then you should definitely check The Untitled... It's filled with gorgeous like this... DON'T MISS OUT!!!

Trying a little Urban Style?!

I've never been very good at the photography to show off a look of the day, I mean I know I can take a picture that I like but when I look at others pictures who are great at these look of the day - look at my outfit - kinda posts, I always end up thinking "hmmmm mine just don't have what theirs have"... I KNOW that comparing my pictures with anyone else's is just silly, and I don't mean that I am doing that a lot but I've just never felt confident being like LOOK WHAT I'M WEARING without being able to create some pretty story to go with it lol... 
I loved this outfit so much that I thought, what the heck I will give it a try LOL... 

The outfit struck me as something a little urban... I tried looking for the perfect Urban setting and didn't really find what I was looking for, until that is I found the ruined city of Xin! Here nature seems to have taken control a bit, and OK it's not really perfect for the urban gansta vibe I was rocking but hey I enjoyed exploring there too... 
It came about because of a few things but mostly this time it was the fault of the clothing that I put on, to create that Urbanish vibe... 
The shorts are past releases from MUKA - called Shirley - and I LOVE the puffy pant look of them, I've worn the other pair from the set in a post for the last flower, but I couldn't resist pulling on the black pair with these amazing Laced Pumps from Reign! My shirt is one that I simple HAD to have while I was exploring the Manga Fair... It's from a store called MoDANNA, not one that I've ever come across before I don't think, but I will have to check out in the future.

The Last Flower for the Spirit Flames

I LOVE FLOWERS... No matter what they are, I love the colour, the scents, the varieties... In the last few days in RL, I've been bought a gorgeous dark purple clematis and a HUGE bunch of sunflowers just because people wanted me to feel happier whilst I'm sick with a cold. 
Then I found this photo I had taken featuring an item from The End and it made me feel a little sad... 

The item in question is this amazing wall décor from Consignment, called The Last Flower - in Jack's Bugout Shelter. It got me thinking how would I feel if there were no more flowers?! It made me feel kinda melancholy, hence the very dark image... For me flowers mean a lot of things, it's beauty, it's nature, it's happiness in a way... If there were no more flowers, would there be a lot less smiles?! 
Damn I'm really in a melancholy mood this morning aren't I?
Luckily the Spirit Flames, those lost souls that perished in The End, are able to cast a little light, making things brighter. Never lose the Magic

Perhaps it's time for a little more magic of The Witching Hour... Everyone needs a little magic in their life, no matter who you are, how old you are or even what you believe in... I personally feel that if you lose the magic, you should take a break and re-evaluate things!
Roald Dahl - one of my favourite authors no matter how old I am - once said;

"And above all, watch with glittering eyes the whole world around you because the greatest secrets are always hidden in the most unlikely places. Those who don't believe in magic will never find it."

Don't lose the magic... It will make life much, much, much less of a happy sparkly place!
I almost lost the magic of SL last week, for some reason - and I mentioned this before - I felt bleh with the whole thing... I took a few days away for myself and now I am ready to come back screaming and ready to shower myself in SL's magical sprinkles LOL...

So I ramble, but hey it's my blog you should expect that by now, but it helped that when I came back I could start again with a plan to work on creating some pretty looks for this month's round of The Witching Hour...
This is the second look that I have been able to pull out of a bag of magic tricks which features the items from TWH, but this one is actually a lot more involved in the event than the last which was just about the shoes hehe...
The outfit that I am wearing in this photograph is a dress called Familiar Bats - in a gorgeous blue tone that has been called Witches Glove - from the store that is ImmateriA. Along with the dress, the pendant necklace is also an ImmateriA release, the Bat Trinket Necklaces are matching colours for the dresses, and make the perfect accessories for that pretty outfit.
To go with that I chose a choker from Chop Shop...  For TWH this month, the creative minds behind Chop Shop have created a series of gorgeous Wire Bat Chokers... I LOVE THEM, they are so cute and absolutely gorgeous - a range of colours to match any outfit!
But whilst I was posing in that magical place that is The Witching Hour, something strange happened... My back began to itch just a little, a tickle at first, until I felt something shoot out of my back... I tried not to scream, but catching sight of myself in a resonating green stone, I discovered that horns had not only sprouted by grown long on either side of my spine! Rancor Back Horns - available from The Stringer Mausoleum machine - come in so many colours that it will be easy to accessorise your demonic looks. This is the common colour number 8 called Bloom, but there were so many different colour combinations, I cannot wait to see what other people choose!
So lesson for the day... NEVER LOSE THE MAGIC... Also go to The Witching Hour LOL...

Flutterbys come 'cos Spring has Sprung...

Image Essentials really does make some pretty poses, and that would be why they are one of my two favourite places to go when it comes to looking for the perfect animation to set the scene of the photos that I am addicted to taking... I guess they are like the facilitators of my photography addiction, encouraging me to take more and therefore get some relaxation in... I really find it theraputic to set up shots, especially when they are serene as the one I'm about to share with you...
Either that or it's the butterflies?! Maybe it's the butterflies?! Let's blame them...

The Flutterby Pose is a rare one that is available at the Spring Fling Gacha Event soon, and normally I wouldn't post before an item is available but the pose was just too cute to waste and it was such a stark contrast in Rudhishness from the Wolf Post before...
The reason I went so feminine in this post, in what could be described as a very unusual look for me, is purely and simply the dresses fault!
This dress was sent to me by Naenia Demonia of ImmateriA, who is currently working with the brilliant designer of a store called ]Ghost Story[... The dress is a very pretty example of what their minds are capable of... Super high quality textures, design and style ideas and a great price to boot, these dresses - available in three colours - can be found at Alchemy...
The Butterflies and the dress, such a girlie combination, and so totally different from my usual attire, it really makes me feel like Spring has Sprung!!

A Consignment of Psycho Snatch!

Once a year at the arrival of spring, an eerie silence falls over the hidden mountain swamps of Cadair Idris. From somewhere deep within the sound of carnival music rolls through the air, looping repeatedly, trying to seduce people to come and see the bright colours and funtastic rides of the fair... The birds do not sing when the carnival calls people in, and even the roar of the loudest motorbike is drowned out by the music that takes control of your mind...
The Gator Hell Carnival was once a glowing beacon in the spring sunshine... The air was filled with the scent of candyfloss, the lights shimmered in the early evening gloom and the sound of laughter rolled over the hills... Now - for most of the year - all you hear is the sound of the carnival decaying.
Although every year at about this time another strange thing happens... A sad lonely girl is seen wandering the carnival, her vintage trailer parked by the fence. She never speaks, only cries, words that call out to her "love"...

*coughs*
Sometimes I tend to get a bit carried away when setting up a post don't I?! While working on this photo I definitely felt inspired to do something... I couldn't really resist making up a story in my head hehe...
The Carnival used in the display is one that I have mentioned before. It is the EL Carnival from DRD that you can collect for yourself at this month's still on-going round of The Arcade. Also from The Arcade are a few of the things I used which originate in the brand Consignment... Things I used here such as the caravan, lawn chairs, cooler, radio and flamingo are all part of Consignment's Open Road Collection - while other non-Arcade Consignment goodies like the trellis and the fire pit can be found at this month's Collabor88! I'm also wearing one of the hair releases from Clawtooth, that you can pick up at The Arcade. This style is called La Bella Donna, and I'm wearing a colour from the Outrageous pack and each of the roses can be individually re-coloured via a hud!!
The idea of the roses though was actually sparked by two other items I'm wearing here that I realised would be SUPER CUTE together. The dress is a Sn@tch original! Called Rosa Club Dress, when you buy this pretty dress you get it in a range of colours - each in the standard mesh sizes. I spent some time 'umming and awwing' over the dress... It wasn't my usual taste at all, I never normally wear floral, especially roses, but then I found the PSYCHO:Byts Flowers Sunglasses at Suicide Dollz and knew they'd be perfect... As luck would have it I won black first try, the outfit was meant to be hehe...
The Look was meant to be, she is all pretty waiting for her long lost love... I wonder if he will ever come to find her?

I'm in a Fashion Magazineeeeeeeee....

A couple of weeks ago now, one of my dear friend's and sisters, Miss Solde Rothmanay and I were chatting about some stuff that was coming up for her store, Soul Designs! If you haven't heard of the store, I will admit to you that being 100% honest it's not really my usual style - it's stuffed full of cute, fashionable everyday wear with a hint of class and a lot of Solde's awesome style peppered throughout. Anyway, we were chatting about something she'd designed and said would I try it... I jumped at the chance... FREE CLOTHES HECK YES!
The plan was it was to be released as a hunt prize - although as plans go this one never made it to that final goal and it was released in store instead hehe - and Solde wanted to spread the word... Course I was going to help her if I could.

I pulled on the dress, and instead of going my normal macabre route, something kicked in and I went girlie fashionista... Maybe it was Solde's influence, I mean the dress with it's skully design screamed for me to go macabre,  but that never happened... I'll blame Solde for it, it's easier than me admitting that I subconciously went girlie?!
I'll discuss the outfit in a minute, but here is the biggest and most exciting bit! When I shared my photo with Solde, prior to even editing in any way, shape or form, she asked if she could use it in an ad... I thought cool I may be hung on the wall of her store or something, but no what she had in mind was MUCH cooler!!! Not that being hung on the wall of her store wouldn't be cool, but she asked if she could use my photo in a magazine ad!
The Magazine - called ModeLS - was published yesterday. Solde excitedly told me, and shared with me the online version that you can see here - check out page 21, thats yours truely YAY! - or you can pick up a copy in world at her store, Soul Designs... I know that I will be heading over there to grab one ASAP! I couldn't believe it when I looked though, we're wedged between the contents page - SO very early on in the publication - and an ad for Vero Moda!!!
Let's just take a few minutes out from 'fangirling' to discuss my look, seeing as it is something that is necessary hehe...
The dress is a Soul Designs dress, called Jayne, in case you hadn't realised by now... I've said it before, but I will say it again, the designs that come from Solde's store are not my normal choices BUT each item you buy, I can guarentee, will be well made and something the designer herself would be proud to be seen wearing! The rest of the outfit was dressing to accessorise the dress... I couldn't decide between boots or shoes, but these HollyHood Bellanice Boots in white seemed to work really well. with my hair hanging loose in a Clawtooth style, a super long Gold R necklace from :sey and some HUGE pair of earrings that have been collecting dust in my hoard from Aura - which has long since closed but you may find the earrings are still available on the marketplace. Lastly all it needed was a pair of over-sized sunglasses, as any fashionista would pull on to protect her eyes whilst emerging from a store with arms laden with shopping bags. Cue the Pure Poison Rockin Mesh Spiked Sunglasses, and this new found fashionista is ready to carry on her shopping trip!   
I am honoured that Solde liked my photo enough to want to use it as one of her ads, she's even asked me to do another one for her... I'm so excited, thank you for this opportunity honey!

BEARDEER... A Horrorfestive Creation!

You must have heard that Christmas song, the one about a little Drummer Boy... Well I've been messing around with some more of the goodies from Horrorfestive and I've discovered something a little special... 
I recently discovered the very rare beardeer... Half Bear, Half Deer... and this one that was spottted, captured and then stuffed at home, just happened to be playing the drum like a little drummer boy! 
LOL... Sometimes even I wonder what drugs I smoke as I start typing. I just read that back and thought "HUH?", but I'm just going to leave it as is, and let you wonder where the crazy in my head comes from! 
I will admit however, that I have been playing with more of the awesome goodies from Horrorfestive, and really enjoyed dancing around in this next outfit that I am about to show you... 

I'm guessing now you can tell where the randomness about Beardeer comes from lol... It wasn't my fault I was just putting things together to create a cute look and BAM it happened in my brain!!!
The outfit's beardeer components come from two places at Horrorfestive. The skin is a Hera Skin, in a Snow Bear style, from PixyStix, although I will also admit that I made it a little more panda like by adding the Black Out eye make-up from Ama with a right eye that I blacked out! I then added the deer part by slipping into the Rude Reindeer outfit from ImmateriA, and this just happens to include the ears, antlers and tail - as well as hooves that you cannot see here!
One of the other aspects that I used to make the look of the Beardeer was these amazing eyes! The eyes are a gacha item, from the minds behind the store Devae. I simply couldn't decide which to wear, so I went with a special release in an Artic colour, but to show off all of the possibilities I have a little collage for you hehe... 

Lastly, the drummer boy bit of my look... I love props in my pictures hehe, but this one I was thinking "HOW AM I GOING TO USE THAT?!", and it just seemed to look right with this outfit LOL... The pose I used to pose the outfit was one from Signature Pose - which you can pick up from Pose Me Amazing - but it worked well with the positioning of the drum and it's drumsticks from Enchant3D. When you beat the drum that nasty bloody mess splashes about, and that's great for making a mess but not so for keeping a white outfit white!

Even the Blind can See! A Horrorfestive Production!

So many awesome things are available at the 2014 Horrorfestive you will have to go in to see and believe it hehe... As I've said before this event is raising money for the awesome Munchflower Zaius. For those of you who have NO IDEA who she is let me give you a bit of an idea!
Munchflower Zaius is the mind behind Nomine. For a very long time, she has been an inspiration, guru and assistant to people in SL's large dark, gothic and macabre community who are seeking to make their own SL a happier and prettier place. Many people will be able to say they have at least heard of Nomine, even if they have no idea who Munchflower herself is, and although I have never really had any personal dealings with the lady in question everything I've heard about her is good. The support she has in this time of need, during which she has been forced to give up her source of income - yes, Nomine has closed! - goes to show just how loved she and her store are!

Let me share with you just a few more of the pretties... I KNOW there is a lot more to come from the event but as much as I want to I cannot do them all at once LOL...
This time I got a little creative, and released the seer that I have within thus suggesting that even the blind can see... I don't want anyone to feel offended by this statement by the way, I mean no offence. I had a blind great aunt who always used to tell me "just because I cannot see doesn't mean I cannot see what you're doing young lady". Her other senses were so heightened she always knew when I was up to something, even more so than the family around with sight! It used to scare me as I was little, I thought she was magic hehe...
I guess that magical feeling has kind of been reflected here. This look all started with the set of Crown, Blindfold and Flowers called Frills, in a Fever colour, from Devae. There were SO MANY colour combinations to choose from but when I pulled these on with the hair I chose to wear from Clawtooth, that was it... I was destined to be a pinkish Seer hehe... Then, in combination with that, I remembered this amazing tiara that has been released from ImmateriA for the December Witching Hour. It may look familiar, but they have been updated and made even prettier for the new round!! The full body tattoo is subtle in everything but the face, the face seemed to work perfectly with the mystical feeling that I was trying to portray, but this Ama Alive Inside Tattoo could be used in so many different ways! I then kept the rest of the outfit simple in the form of this super cute Satin Jumpsuit from PixyStix, and some very cute and rather useful present opening claw rings from HopScotch!
Just one more thing was missing to make the look complete... MORE EYES! Bliensen + MaiTai have created some AMAZING Eye Ornaments, and they are SO unbelieveably gorgeous that I think in the very near future I will have to put up a Christmas Tree in SL just to show them off! Me being me, and therefore more than a little bit weird, I decided to add them to my outfit, and so now this Seer has four eyes, not just two hehe!
Wow sometimes I don't half talk a lot lol, just one more thing that I should mention though... Look behind me, I know I am a little distracting but that grave stone in the background, not only is it gorgeous, it's also animated with bats AND available for Horrorfestive from Alchemist! Gorgeous and Charitable what more can you ask for!

In the Trees

In the swamp, beneath the trees someone lives there "peacefully"... She's a spirit of the woods, a carer of animals and the protector of all things... 
Recently though this forest spirit has been left fighting for her freedom by a big mean and very nasty ogre that lives on the other side of the mountains! 
This poor little spirit spends the vast majority of her days roaming amongst the trees, barely leaving her home for less than a few minutes at the time as invariably one of her reptilian charges needs her help, She spends her time dressing to feel like those humans she sees in the blog magazines she reads, and playing with the many toys that she holds dear, while the crazy ogre crafts her ancient looking wares and dances with her illegal minion bots...  
This poor little spirit needs to get out, her and the transportation crafter need to break free from the evil that is this ogre... She will surely drive them to insanity if they do not get free... 

The story is about 90% true, OK so I'm not a spirit, but we are having trouble with our land owning neighbours and HellBone and I are now in the process of looking for a new place to live - not just for us but for the entire MC too... Anyone know of a cheap full sim available?
I had this look ready for a while and then the story kinda feel into my lap after having trouble for a few days with our landlord... But I wanted to create a look that was fairly autumnal and fairly fantasy without the full on fairy effect hehe...
I wore a cute sack dress, complete with mud, that had picked up at a fantasy event - not sure which though sorry - from a store called Murdock !nc. I accessorised it with a necklace that came as part of the Misae outfits from Una, and gave it that Autumn feeling with some Tabou Irresistible Fallen Leaves Antlers and a Persefona Falling Leaves Wreath! I also scooped up a little friend to pose with me... The newest MishMish release is little foxes! SUCH ADORABLE LITTLE FOXES! They are available in three colours from Collabor88, and trust me when I say you will want them all hehe... 
There is just one thing that this woodland spirit needs to show you... I was walking with my foxy friend, and spotted the most beautiful gift from the trees... After washing the mud from my feet, I stepped into the most amazing pair of shoes, that will no doubt keep my feet mud free! The AZOURY Sauvage Heels with their super high brown trunk base will keep me Happy - not Sad - this November hehe! Yes that was a hint by the way, they are from Sad November hehe...
