The little Demon visits family

In RL I'm not the kind of person that is religious... I'd always told myself too that there are a few things that you should never discuss with people unless you know them really well - these things include religion! BUT Today for Horror Haute purposes I may be making an exception to this rule very slightly!
Basically I put together an outfit which looked cute, and then whilst I was looking for somewhere to take the photos of it, I remembered the pretty settings surrounding the store Dimma.
I found the perfect place to pose, and little demon girl me did a jump for joy but then I found myself thinking, "wait why would a demoness come from a church?" Then the thought occured that wasn't Lucifer originally an Angel and didn't he have demonic children? So perhaps she was just visiting her grandpa?! LOL... OK maybe I have been watching a little too much Supernatural again recently, don't kill me for that, but I hope you can forgive me for the sentiment in the photo if you're opposed to that kind of talk?!
We can blame the ramble on Horror Haute LOL, but isn't this outfit adorable!?!
First of all, let's start by talking about the gorgeous dress... This dress comes from Aftermath Creations, and includes a pair of shoes and some bling that I've not worn here... You will not have seen this in any Horror Haute line-up before because this one has been created as a special release just for the event!
I decided to wear it with some really awesome simple black pumps from KRAVE - which would be simple if you can ignore the fact that at the toes you have a row of razor sharp teeth... They are Demon Heels after all hehe.
I kept my hair in a very pretty style, the Elikatira Kara style to be exact - oh and this one is a FREEBIE from Hair Fair just so you know hehe - and lastly, and only because she is visiting grandpa in church, she pulled on her favourite "halo". One of the Elemental Halos from The Nebulae - which you may have seen before as they have been a Witching Hour release from TfAtN which has now had a store name change it seems hehe...
SO I start my day with what some may think of as a little bit of blasphemy, but I'm hoping that no one gets offended and instead looks upon it as a little demon who loves to visit her family.

The end of Horror Haute as we know it... Changes are coming...

Horror Haute comes to a close for this month today, and next month is already shaping up to be a HUGE kettle of fish for the team... We're swelling in size due to the incoming union of two standing events... We had a corporate take over - of sorts - for events known as Spooky Cute and Against the Mainstream... Things behind the scenes of the Haute are also changing... There is much to come and my excitement is building, I CANNOT WAIT TO TELL YOU ALL ABOUT IT hehe.. For that though you need to wait until next month, Mwhahahahahaha...
Let me talk more about the last of the Voodoo things that you can grab today... Remember the event closes today and these things will go back to main store locations... If you miss them at the event, the prices may change too... DON'T MISS OUT!
I have three Horror Hauteish things on in this photo... First off the Mask, which I have to say does stand out is the iVoudou Mask from Tasty Pudding. It has a selection of different make-up colours, and a mask that rolls through various different patterns and colours to create a very eerie magical effect! I wore a top from AfterMath Creations with a Damballa print, and then accessorised with some of the coolest nails I have seen in a LONG time... These nails might make you squeamish but the Dark Passions Voodoo Pinned Nails are simply amazeballs!!!
The last of May's Horror Haute line up that I want to share, I cannot forget and miss this as it is just so cute, is the Thirst Dress from Blue Blood. The dresses are in various colours, with and without the floral prints, but they are a perfect look for a Voodoo dolly, that is if you can ignore the blood LOL... I LOVE blood so I have no issue going out in a dress that is soaked in it however LOL...
So that's it for Horror Haute May, if you haven't been in you SHOULD... Time is ticking and the event closes today! Next Month, we have something MASSIVE and very special planned... Watch this space I tell ya!!

Bubbles and Statues gave me my Mojo...

Sometimes I find that taking pictures and blogging as a whole is hard work... I've come to realise just how hard in the past few days as I have found myself running out of blogging juice and losing my mojo somewhat... I've been tired, lashing out and getting more and more frustrated... So I took a few days away from SL to be in RL...
When I came back my mind was ready to start taking pictures again and it's lucky because the new round of The Witching Hour is now underway!!! There are some really cool items to share with you this month... But first I was playing around with a couple of new props... Something brilliant happened!?!
It was strange how it all came together, but now I will say that this has to be one of my recent favourite photos...
Basically, my sister and good friend Lil passed me some new textures to use as photography backdrops... I LOVE the grunge brick look and it was just awesome to see my shadow against them lol, but then things started to just seem to come together as I was looking at what I had to play with hehe... The Statue is a new release from Paper Moon - in collaboration with The Muses - that are available at the latest Fantasy Gacha Carnival. This is the rare example, but they come in a few different poses and only the rare has the veil! For some reason though, and I have NO IDEA WHY, but I thought CRAP I need BUBBLES! Maybe it was because I saw the awesome {anc} bubbles in my hoard waiting to be played with, and trust me this isn't the last time you will see me and bubbles, but it just seemed to kinda sorta work!
I love that I have taken the photo of me from the back too... It is one of those things that always makes me think, what is she thinking? What is she looking at? Why is she not posing properly? PLUS in this case it shows off so well the décor on the heels of my shoes. These shoes are the reason I mentioned The Witching Hour... As a rare colour release, in the AfterMath Creations machine, these are just GORGEOUS!! Who doesn't love snaky shoes, even though I will admit I never normally wear pointed toes!
The only other thing that I really want to give an honourable mention to here is this adorable dress... It comes from SAKIDE - but you will need to venture into the Depraved Nation Thrift Shop to get one - and you can buy it in the light version seen here, or in dark or floral designs - which no doubt you will see later hehe...
Anyway enough rambling but can you tell I am happy with this one? Looks like I got my mojo back huh?? Hehe...

The dance of the Fae as they leave today...

The month draws to a close, and I have time for one last Horror Haute
post to bring a touch of the Dark Fae to my rambling space. Those pesky fairies have moved into the swampy home and made it their own causing all kinds of mischief, but today, on their last day they planned a small party to gather themselves in one place before the migration back to their own realm.
The tea party is laid out on an "Into the Dark Woods" Table and Chairs set from La Maison des Corbeaux - a Horror Haute release by the way - with an exquisite set from the same store - that was a past release for The Witching Hour - is a Which Witch Tea Set...
The fairies danced around it - using poses from dimma for the Dark Fae Set, both different styles but still part of a family...
The fae on the left is more of a warrior, with a little flair for elegance. The skins are part of the same set that I have used before for Horror Haute this month, a set from Stargazer Creations, and the hair is an old one from Magika... Her outfit is made up of a Ghost Story Grim Dress that she has teamed with a skirt to make an outfit from a ready made outfit that you can pick up from TLB.
To accessorise, she pulled on a pair of long black gloves, that are part of a set from AfterMath Creations, and a gorgeous collar from Chop Shop - which comes in a selection of 8 different colours! She even has two pairs of wings... One pair, the back from AfterMath Creations and the front from Brick-a-Brack, together seemed to make a very powerful radiant fae!!!
The fairy wings from the second look are a part of the set that includes the Grim Dress from Ghost Story, I loved the dark demonic look to them... She wears a simple Brick-A-Brack Camisk Dress in a dark purple colour, with a matching Lillfolae Mask from Laudanum Lollipops, to shield her Dark Fae BLD eyes.
The Dark Fae are now beginning to disappear into the mist, if you hurry to Horror Haute you may catch them, but there is a rumbling in the wind... Something dark may have left but it seems that a little magic has been left in it's place...

Decisions, Decisions...

Sometimes I will admit that I would LOVE to have someone to help me decide on certain aspects of my outfit. I mean you find a look then try to match it with accessories, or you find a hair style and try to make it fit an outfit, but sometimes I spend such a long time looking at two completely different things and wondering which I want to wear that I end up not bothering at all... Shoes are a prime example of this...
This month for The Witching Hour was a prime example of this... Two amazingly cute sets of shoes are on offer and I was having such a hard time working out which ones I wanted to wear.
One shoe was a ruby red high heel called Magic Dust Corset Pumps from AfterMath Creations, the other a summery flat with a gorgeous rainbow Astro Dolly pattern from Stargazer Creations.
The best thing for me to do is to ask someone for help... When no one is around I ask the helpful hand on a plate, the All Seeing Hand, from Lilith's Den.
All of these things are gacha prizes at this month's round of The Witching Hour, and as always they come in a myriad of different colours and patterns for the low price of 50L per try!!!

What is she wearing;
Left Foot: AfterMath Creations - Magic Dust Corset Pumps in Garnet RARE (Available Now for The Witching Hour)
Right Foot: [Stargazer Creations] - Astro Dolly in RARE B Rainbow (Available Now for The Witching Hour)

Wednesday's Child...

There is a very old English poem that reads;
Monday's child is fair of face,
Tuesday's child is full of grace,
Wednesday's child is full of woe,
Thursday's child has far to go,
Friday's child works hard for a living,
Saturday's child is loving and giving,
But the child who is born on the Sabbath day
Is bonnie and blithe and good and gay.
BUT Don't call this Wednesday's Child Perky! Wednesday's Child is full of woe... This one is no different!!
Yes it's Wednesday, and I am bringing another little slice of The Witching Hour collection, before the round closes for the month tomorrow... Wednesday - seemingly based on Wednesday Addams - has just started at Eureka High School...
The Dress, Doll and Speech Bubble are gacha prizes for this month's Witching Hour line-up from AfterMath Creations... It's part of a massive set of Wednesday's Child goodies, and features other things not shown here such as eyes, jewellery and boots!
The choker that I am wearing is not part of the set, but comes from The Horror... I simply love these wire chokers - or the Choke-Me Chokers as they are called - they bring me back memories of my own childhood - OK teenage years - but it was close enough lol...

Fire & Ice Sisters... The Deadly Horror Haute Combination!

Horror Haute January is definitely well under way, and the theme this month has been all about the Japanese Horror Genre. Before I start on one of my usual rambles I will happily admit to you that I know NOTHING about this style of Horror. Dark and Macabre YES, but anything beyond The Ring and I am totally at a loss, so I feel fairly lucky when I say that a lot of these gorgeous items you can enjoy without knowing the stories behind them, and others have included their stories...
Two of the outfits that are available from the collection created very different looks as I was putting them together, and a thought struck me, they looked like sisters but more like a fire and ice version of each other... Hence Fire and Ice Sisters lol...
The skins of these two looks come from the same Horror Haute participant - [Stargazer Creations] - and although this is not the first time I have played about in these Yurei Skins, there are 8 different make-ups to choose from, a girl can be flippant and wear them all LOL...
That my friends, is where the similarities between the two sisters stops!
Ice Sister is wearing a gorgeous kimono from AfterMath Creations. Not only can you get yourself this really pretty, and scarily feminine by Horror Haute standards, outfit BUT you can also grab yourself flower ornamentation for the hair in two different styles - the bigger and more ostentatious of the two I am wearing here - a skin set, that I chose not to use so I would match the other sister but that you can see in the gorgeous photos of the outfit by Eldergoth Macabre's AnnabeleLee Dreadlow, AND if that wasn't enough you can also get yourself hair to match too - Yes the one Anna is wearing, and YES in three different colours!!!  Me being me and having a bit of an addiction to mixing and matching I chose to wear different hair, this being one of the new releases from Truth this week. You can grab yourself a copy of the Esther Hair from Uber right now!
The Fire Sister doesn't feel the need to wrap up so warm as her Icy sibling, and so she wears something that's far from traditional, being very short in the front with only a long trailing skirt back. This awesome outfit, which includes her crown of thorns by the way, comes from the store The Untitled. To finish her style off and make her seem just that tad different to her sibling, she wears the Yurei skin in version M02, one of the ones with a very strong make-up!
There is just one more thing that I want to mention here - and it is totally non-Horror Haute related - these hairstyles are like two different versions of each other, from two different stores almost. As I mentioned before the blue coloured one is from Truth, and available at Uber, but the red coloured one is from Ploom, and available at My Attic. The thing that I love about them both is that they are almost like the same style, one loose down your back, the other twisted over your shoulder but BOTH featuring that messy style braid too!
Possibly my least horrific Horror Haute photo EVER, but I will say these sisters aren't as sweet as they look... Fierce yes, Hidden Evil yes, and pure chaos hehe...

What is she wearing;
Look 1:
Hair: Ploom - Siri (Available Now at My Attic)
Skin: [Stargazer Creations] - Yurei Skin in M02 (Available for Horror Haute January)

Before the Witching Hour comes to an end, I must sleep...

During the week I don't get to have much of a lay-in, I am up most days at 6am, so when the weekend comes around I try to sleep for a little longer. Never normally managing more than about 10am, but boy does that feel like heaven. This weekend though HellBone was due to be doing some stuff in RL... When that man gets up, I swear it's like a herd of elephants dancing through the room, then the cussing starts as he can't find his underwear, keys, MC Vest - you name it, he will have misplaced it!
Thus I was awake, and it was too early, so what did I do? I couldn't go back to sleep - I'm one of those people that can't fall back to sleep once I'm awake - I logged into SL of course...
Can you guess what time it was? My photo will give you a little clue LOL...
YESSSSS, it was The Witching Hour! Midnight SLT... Although that did make me giggle as while I was there I started to work on my - I guess you could call it - Witching Hour based Look of the Day! I know I never wanted to do these in the past, but they are so useful when you have an outfit and want to share it... That said though I won't be stepping on the territory of the fashionista bloggers lol...
Seeing as this is what I am doing now, let's take a look at what I have here huh?!
I went over to The Witching Hour location to snap this photo, and check out just how cute everything looks...
My outfit is comprised of two different outfit sets from two participating designers of the round, and I really hope that they don't mind me mixing and matching their outfits... As it's a whole Mish Mash of things, let me start with something non-Witching Hour.
The hair is one of my new favourites from Magika, it's a little Farrah Fawcett than I might normally have chosen, but I really liked it when I tried it on.. It HAD to be mine!
Though it is the clothing and accessories that need to be discussed more than the hair lol... The glasses added to that Farrah Fawcett look, and hid my tired eyes too. They are available in the gacha machine from AfterMath Creations. Their items come together to form an outfit called "Bite Me Valentine", and I used a few bits from this collection to make this look... Let me see, the glasses, the necklace, the belt and the black jeans are all available from this collection!
The dress, and in fact a choker that seems to have kinda disappeared a little - though is more obvious when you see the picture bigger in Flickr - are parts of the " Enchanted Flurries" collection from Brick-A-Brack. The dresses come in 4 different colours, and there are adorable snowmen too, but I didn't want to subject a poor snowman to the harsh heat of the witch burning fire at The Witching Hour HQ... This isn't Frozen you know, he would melt!
Don't miss out on the chance to grab these, and other awesome things from The Witching Hour this month... You don't have long now until it's over!

What is she wearing;
Hair: Magika - Lemon
Skin: Glam Affair - Lauren in America 07 (Past Collabor88 Item)
Dress & Upper Choker: Brick-A-Brack - Enchanted Flurries Items (Available Now at The Witching Hour)
Sunglasses, Necklace, Belt & Jeans: AfterMath Creations - Bite Me Valentine Items (Available Now at The Witching Hour)
Pose: PRETENSE - Dead Sexy 3

HorrorFestive 2014 comes to town!

It's that time of year again... The time when everything becomes that little bit festive, has a sparkle that you don't see most of the year and those with a shopping habit have a HUGE excuse to shop more! I'm talking of course, about the Christmas feeling... It's taken over in SL as well as RL, and now you cannot escape it no matter where you are!
There is also a festive disturbance in within SL's darker and depraved circles this month... A festive horror event, has sprung from the minds of some devious minds to bring a little Christmas cheer and support for a very much loved reason.
HorrorFestive 2014 is a month long charity event, from the minds behind Zombiefest and Horrorfest, who in the season of joy, peace and love are raising awareness and help for someone highly respected and loved within the SL Macabre Scene... Miss Munchflower Zaius - creator of Nomine - is suffering from the incurable Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome and so she - without sounding patronising - has been chosen as this year's charitable cause. You can read more about it in her own words on her "Gofundme" page, there you can donate if you wish OR you can come check out Horrorfestive and get yourself lots of awesome goodies as you do hehe....
So for the next few days I plan on sharing with you some of the amazing items that you can grab yourself, whilst making that donation to Munchflower! I will be intermingling the Horrorfestive with other things, such as The Witching Hour goodies that you can grab now too, but as they say "variety is the spice of life" hehe...
My first look is something that borders on the glamourous, almost like a romantic Christmas scene - but with a little macabre touch hehe...
Let's look at the props in this photo first shall we... Starting with an item for The Witching Hour! This sofa is an Elegant Gothmas Sofa from Athermath Creations, which is one piece in a HUGE collection of things that can be won from a Witching Hour Gacha Machine! It has poses for men and women, and adds a touch of sheer elegance to a gothic style living room!
Now, Horrorfestive things... At the back, a very pretty "Christmas Visitors Roomdivider" from HopScotch, which seems perfect for hiding things behind, such as the carnage that comes from wrapping Christmas Presents LOL... As you can see by the Christmas Presents that I wrapped - from Bliensen + MaiTai - one of them is leaking something, the other I got fed up with wrapping and stabbed, I'm not good at it, I told you that hehe!! Lastly I needed a tree with a difference, enter Eclectic Muse and their Christmas with the Devil style interior decorating... This tree with it's skully bauble was perfect!
Of course, a pretty room, means I need an even prettier look... Luckily for me there is SO MUCH CHOICE available from the Horrorfestive, I could play with a lot of things hehe...
My dress comes from Fission, and though there are a few colours to choose, I LOVE this elegant black version... It's low cut front and even lower cut back are stunning, if you don't mind a bit of nipnip on show! I kept the accessories simple - by Rudhish standards - wearing a gorgeous necklace, which comes as part of a set, from Chaos, Panic & Disorder, and some adorabley Festive Antlers from Squeek, adorable if you don't mind blood that is... Lastly, I put in some pretty coloured contact lenses that you can pick up from Chop Shop at the event. There were so many different colours of these that it was so hard to choose! The pink did go best with my hair hence why I put those contacts in...
SO that's a lot of information in one post, but basics to remember... CHECK OUT HORRORFESTIVE 2014, a charity event in aid of Munchflower Zaius! BUY LOTS OF PRETTY THINGS to make donations for a worthy cause, and, THERE WILL BE LOTS MORE HORRORFESTIVE COMING SOON hehe!!!
