A few days ago I was reading through Flickr with my morning coffee, and I stumbled upon a random photo, something that caught my attention, something that was seeking SL faces... I read a little deeper and it appeared that Ashley Carter - creator of the Voidar SL series - wanted faces for an upcoming project... I couldn't help but send my name in never thinking that I could be asked to participate!
I had however, pulled on an outfit that I was very much in love with and even though I wasn't sure I would be doing anything with it, but after becoming a face for the Voidar project I wanted to be able to give you a little hint as to which face was mine!!!
The outfit was one that my sister Solde spotted and instantly thought she had to show me as it was just pure Rudh... I couldn't agree more! The dress is one from drbc - called Starla in a Ribcage Print! When I wore it with the loose braid, called Leah from CATWA, it seemed the perfect summer outfit, all it needed was some accessorising...
Luckily, during the brand new and awesome Mix Event I managed to find the perfect bag - something I have a lot of in RL but very few in SL - a Goldfish Messenger Bag from Le Primitif to be exact. Then the perfect shoes seemed to jump at me out of my hoard too, the Valeria Platforms from Bens Boutique are SO adorable and so very fashionable right now! There was just something missing, something which later became my recognising feature in the Voidar Project! I'll let you work out what that is hehe...

I've been told it has something to do with Orange is the New Black but to be honest I think I'm one of a very small handful of people that can say they haven't seen it... I will say that I LOVE this video and the speed that it was put together astounds me... I can't wait to do another one, and I hope I'd be allowed to be in that too hehe...

First off I want to start this post with a HUGE announcement!!!
Yes that's right, as of this post I can officially say "HOLY CRAP! 1,000 Posts!" That's a massive milestone for me... I never ever felt that I would reach that level when I first started blogging. I always thought it was a fad that would be over quickly, that I'd grow tired of things - I've never been very good at writing a journal - but I found reasons to keep coming back... Challenges had me hooked, and I managed to get myself a few very supportive sponsors as well as some awesome readers, but the best aspect of my blog for me is that it has just become so therapeutic... No matter how bad my day has been I've always found solace in taking a photo and then writing about it here...
For a special post, that will always be special as my 1000th post, I am going to take everyone onto a trip into my favourite fantasy land - no not SL lol - Wonderland here we come!!!
I have always loved Alice in Wonderland, in fact her adventures through the looking glass were favourites of mine too, and SL sometimes seems like a wonderland all of it's own... We can be anything we want to be in SL, and there are so many crazy things to see, I'm sure without looking too hard you will be able to have your own adventures just like Alice did...
I've turned Rudh into my own weird and twisted version of Alice... The entire reason for this ramble is due to the outfit that was offered in the Alice in Sexyland hunt recently - yes I know it's over but I was on holiday! - from adoness, and painted my face with a pretty eyeshadow from Zibska - which you can get as a prize in The Body Art Hunt... I had to, however, make her less cute and a little more sinister by combining my Alice with an evil Cheshire Cat - doesn't she have a wicked grin!

Horror Haute - as I am sure you will hear more than once at over the coming weeks - is celebrating a change and therefore is running a round that is to be known as the "Simply the Best" round... IT IS MASSIVE! There is so much awesome stuff, spanning over the previous 5 event themes that if you missed things now is your chance to get them, or perhaps find one of the new awesome exclusives that are available... Each designer has set up their 5 favourite items, and I have decided that I will pick my personal favourites to share with you here...
First up, ImmateriA! This has always been one of my favourite stores in the Horror Haute line-up, as things from this store tend to be different from the norm, and very creative in their design!
The outfit that I have chosen from ImmateriA isn't one of my normal go-to looks either. I tend to shy away from a lot of things in the Sci-Fi category, purely and simply and I'm not ashamed to admit it either, because I am terrified of aliens... This time however, when I tried on the Dead Space outfit from ImmateriA, I decided that I could pull the look off without fear of alien encounter, it's dead space after all hehe... I went down a more futuristic path, creating a Rudh Cyborg - serves me right for watching an old Terminator movie recently - and ran around at Insilico to find the perfect photography location!
The Dead Space outfit includes along with the dress, this awesome leg attachment. See your own android power flickering between the wires in your leg... It's such a great idea and definitely a fun accessory... BUT seeing that I decided to play up the cyborg Rudh look... I remembered this older now, but still freaking awesome hair from Discord Designs that is made entirely of Ethernet Cables! If that doesn't look like a futuristic robot Rudh, then I give up lol, I'm not very good at Sci-Fi LOL...

Yes you saw that right, being in town is too hot, I want to go to the beach and stroll along in the sand, then play in the waves, and even because I am really special laze in the shade with a really good book... Maybe it's not the best place to do it, here in Holland, I mean the beaches are pretty but not exactly Mediterranean when it comes to water temperature!
Still once all the hard work is done in preparation for the terribly hot weekend ahead - bare in mind I'm a big girl in RL lol, I don't handle heat well - I plan on sitting in my breathing space, by the water and taking it easy!!!
For now though I will share with you my dreams of being somewhere cooler hehe...
I found a lovely beach to play on the other day... It's an adult location, simply known as The Beach but it's so well put together that it will no doubt be somewhere I visit again!
I wore a very loose fitting dress in a fabulous retro print, from Sweet Lies, that I picked up at the recent round of The Fantasy Collective, and teamed that with a pair of super cute flat sandals from [ShiZZo]. If you haven't ever heard of [ShiZZo], don't worry neither had I, it is the store where one half of the Signature Pose team - the Shilenni part not the Pinkie bit - sells pretty things that are not poses!
Looking at it now, I am starting to feel a bit cooler but I've just been told it's time to go out in RL so YAY I'm gonna actually go and cool off!!! Tata for now!!

I've just gotten back from my vacation, and it felt like I was a kid in a candy store or it was Christmas morning... There were so many gorgeous things awaiting my attention in my hoard, things I'd logged in just to make sure I didn't miss out on, and things that I had been sent by people I blog for, that I didn't know where to begin... I was pulling outfits together like a crazy person, and I now have so many pretty looks ready and waiting that I am not quite sure where to start when it comes to covering them all!!
All of them are different, all of them are gorgeous... So I have treated it like a lucky dip, the posts are ready to be written and I close my eyes and open one hehe... This happens to be the first of my lucky dip of posts hehe...
This look was inspired by the gorgeous release from Stargazer Creations for this month's round of The Instruments. I love the vibrant colours, and as soon as I saw it I was Bollywood inspired... It comes with the pretty tiara and some VERY large shoulder pads - of which I decided to wear just one... I'm cool like that lol... Besides it would have clashed with my awesome braid, which is a new CATWA release for Cosmopolitan...
I sat for a while and henna tattooed my hands in a Boom design - from Sweet Poison, which perfectly fit with the dress and then all that was needed was a photography location...
I spent AGES looking for somewhere, forgetting the one place that simply screams Indian Elegance... ZAARA!!! Once I was there, it didn't take me long to find a secluded but romantic spot to capture the perfect picture that would represent the Indian Summer heat and showcase this gorgeous dress flawlessly!
