The Arachne Queen

Spent the day spring cleaning my house in RL a little bit, my parents are coming to visit me this weekend and so I HAVE to get my space all spick and span for the proverbial Royal Visit... 
There has been a problem or two whilst cleaning today though, I realised that my home has been harbouring unwanted guests... THERE ARE SPIDERS IN MY DARK CORNERS!!!! I nearly had to move out... 
Rudh on the other hand was more than willing to bask in their praise, she let things get to her head a little more than she perhaps should have... She became their Queen!

Everyone thinks of their home as their castle, and now that we have free loading tennants, Rudh plans on taking that thought to the extreme... She's going to let these little friends move in fully, fill her castle - which is actually an old rare item from a MINIMAL Gacha collection,  Westwing Castle - with eggsacs, dinner bodies and their remnants - items from Botanical - to make the place feel just that little bit cosier! 
The Spider Queen has crowned herself with the Arachne Crown - a creepy release from Evil Baby - and she will rule over the arachnids in the darkened halls...

Carrying the Dark Mage's Familiar

When I've been taking pictures to relax myself and let myself drift off into my own little world, it always seems to be a place where everything involves some kind of magic. I'm not so good at thinking about basic fashion style shots, I find I over think them and worry that they aren't good enough, but when I am working on something with a hint of fantasy, a nod to the magical or even just a totally crazy outfit, it seems to come more naturally and I find myself enjoying it more!
When the Arcade came around again, I like many people found myself making a list from the shopping guide list... It felt like I was a young child again, writing my Christmas list to Santa...
This one would have said, "Dear Santa... I feel there is something magical in the air... I need some magical protection... Can I PLEASE have a Katat0nik Dragon?"

Luckily I do know a Santa substitute, HellBone found me one in the PERFECT colour to make the outfit I was wearing go from somewhat demure submissive BDSM leather and fluff concoction to all of that in a mystical sense hehe... The dragon is one a of a collection of different colours available from Katat0nik for this month's Arcade, and boy they are totally gorgeous. A must have for any dragon lover!
Talking along the lines of mystical places, if you haven't been to, or heard of for that matter, you should check out the LEA8 "Love Henry" art sim installation... Not only is it beautiful but it's based on a really good book about the love of Henry VIII - Tudor King of England - brings out my inner history geek whilst looking amazingly pretty!
Anyway back to the outfit that is made up of a few bits of leather and a fluff, hehe! The shorts are OLD ones, I've had them a while from Razor, but the bustier is a new release from SAKIDE for The Fantasy Collective. To finish the look I added a collar - an old but still cute one - from DeliciouS, and then finally found the perfect accessory to wear with my dragon... SOME FLUFF!! I bought this Luxury Boa from [Glitzz] at a past Fi*Friday and it just looks PERFECT with my Dragon! Like he's sitting on a soft cushion around my neck!
The perfect look for a Dark Mage's submissive perhaps? Anyone know of any hot Dark Mages that are looking for a pet? LOL...

Lost Dreams, Thank you Alarm Clock

Don't you just hate it when the alarm clock goes off... I know I do, and this morning I was wrenched from such a lovely dream that I feel a little bereft now! Being warm and snuggly in bed, then being rudely awakened by an alarm clock should be made an illegal way to start the day... Just saying! 
Still the dream I was having was something akin to a trip to wonderland, I seem to have dreams like that a lot, does that mean I am crazy? I've tried to come back to reality but I can't seem to drag my mind away from the colours and the magical feeling... 

Luckily I found a picture that kinda sorta almost fits the way I felt in the dream... OK I looked different there, still look adorable here, but the hazy lights and the flowers are very similar! 
The location I took this picture in is just like a dream in itself - I mean it should be, it's called Lost Dreams - but it's gorgeous and well worth a visit... There are lots of little scenarios set out just like the one behind me, though watch out in the middle of the dream... He looks hungry hehe... 
My outfit was one that I had been wearing whilst exploring and some how it just seemed to fit perfectly into the backdrop without any tweaking!! 
This dress was a Glitzz release that I picked up at a past round of Fi*Friday... At the event the Gueico Dresses were in three colours, but for some reason the sakura pattern drew my attention the most and at 55L I wasn't about to leave it behind. 
Then I kept the accessories simple, by adding a large Kamikazari to my Truth hair- which I am hoping is a name for a flower in Japanese... Correct me if I am wrong please?! - that I had picked up as a free gift during the hunt at a past round of Origami! It just worked so well with the rest of the look and to be honest, although this isn't really a normal look for me, I couldn't help but be a teensy bit pleased by it hehe... Just a teensy bit!!

Kiss Me You Fool!

There is someone who is a MASSIVE part of my SL and my RL, but that plays a fairly low key part in the day to day ramblings of my blog... I talk a lot about my friends and family members, be that MC and non-MC family, as well as the things that inhabit the dark and crazy corners of my mind... Yet this person, although occasionally mentioned, rarely gets to take centre stage...
Today it's his turn - alongside my own dolly - to literally step into the candlelit spotlight and play a pivotal role in one of my rambling posts...

I am talking about HellBone! My long-suffering, grumpy, teddybear of a husband...
We put each other through a lot... In SL he uses me as his personal assistant - I'm his secretary for the MC, his manager for the store and the prop he uses when he needs a female body shape while building, whereas he has a massive tendency to complain as I ask him to sit on a pose ball and let me use him as a photography prop. We tease, we torture and in some cases we end up wanting to kill each other, but in RL behind closed doors - and when he's in a good mood - he's the best and snuggliest teddybear I could have ever hoped for...
So when I saw the recently released couple poses from Signature Pose, one called Safe and the other called Kiss me you Fool... I couldn't help myself wanting to use him as my photography prop at least once...

Wake Up you Lazy Bum!

There are a few sounds that if I'm honest I could live without in life... Hearing a child scream, hearing someone else's music whilst sitting on a bus, or the sound of someone's car alarm going off in the middle of the night as examples, but one of the things that I always find myself cursing most is the Alarm Clock... One of those necessary evils! Still there isn't much longer that I will need one as my holiday begins on FRIDAY!!!! Then it's two weeks of being at home in the UK, being looked after by my mum and a lot of time just reading, sleeping and enjoying myself... IT SOUNDS PERFECT!!!
Talking of sounding perfect and thinking of home, I'll tell you a little story LOL... I went travelling to New Zealand a few years ago, and before I left my sister was very upset saying she'd miss me a lot... Anyway, to cut a long story short the first time I'd set the alarm I didn't check the ringer sound - ALWAYS CHECK THE SOUND PEOPLE!  - I was rudely awoken by my sister's voice filling the room, screaming loudly "WAKE UP YOU LAZY BUM"... Never have I wanted to throttle her quiet so much LOL...

This morning was no exception... I felt like I'd been right next to a gong when someone hit it at full whack. I wanted to just turn over and go back to sleep but alas in RL I cannot... In SL however, I can be as lazy as I want and at the moment that's an I want to A LOT, especially since I got my new bed...
I'd seen the Sweetpea Bed - from Olive - in The Arcade line-up this month and was bereft when I realised that it was in fact a rare... I had very little chance I would get it, and I was so worried that it would cost me a sheer fortune... As luck would have it, it cost me NOTHING! My sister Solde, had heard that I was looking for one of these awesome beds and she found a fairly cheap one on the marketplace... She treated me to it as a wonderful present... THANK YOU SODAPOP *hugs tight*...
In my quest for the bed though, my lovely hubby HellBone had also gotten into The Arcade and had tried his luck on the machine, hence why I am also able to show you the cute Sweetpeas Slumber Mask too... It's perfect for a princess on a pea bed!  
The Arcade isnt the only gacha event taking plae at the moment though, I hit up the Ai Gacha event recently and won some adorable goodies like these [Glitzz] Face Clouds and the adorable Nerdology Cushions that are scattered in a mess all over my bed hehe... My pretty Beach Towel Dress - from fllo - is so comfortable that I fell asleep wearing it, and thinking about that I should probably have taken off my new Sunna Necklace too - you can get your hands on these from Lassitude & Ennui at We <3 RP by the way... Lucky I didn't strangle myself huh?!
