Make New Friends

It's already nearing the end of November and that means before very long Christmas will start and things will go bonkers... I have so much to do, I want to get myself some new Christmas decorations and may even go out into nature and collect some wild winter foliage for decor... I'll head out into the wild and make a day of it... 

I'd made myself a little camp on the edge of the woods, just over the bridge in the Snowfall Crossing - a backdrop by Synnergy.Tavis - and after spending a few hours collecting foliage to use as decor, I curled up in a pile of blankets on rugs laid in the snow to hide away for a tea break... 
While I was making the tea, I must have passed out a little, when I woke up I had some new friends that had decided my camp looked like a nice warm plae for a nap... Fox Friends came for pets, and Lil Bear Cubs were making themselves at home - both of these sets of animals are from Aardvark, the bears are currently available at TMD and the foxes are at the current round of ACCESS - whilst the cute little bunnies took over my scarf...

Battle for the Midnight Order

Everyone has the power to be strong, everyone has the power to find their inner warrior and charge across the battlements to seek victory against their foes, be those foes people, worries or stresses... 
Today I've had a bit of a shit day, I've been trapped in anxiety attacks and wanting to run away, over the bridge to find a place to hide... I feel like I'm heading into a battle with myself... 

I'm going to find a way to get myself through this battle with as few scars as possible. My mental health may be scarred for a while, but I think that I'll just have to let that take it's time... 
Going to battle in Second Life seems like so much more of an adventure... The killer look in my Haunted Eyes - a creation that's part of a set from HELLBOURNE available at Midnight Order - warns those that stand in my way. I pulled on gaulets and a Coif with a crown, like the queen that I am - wearing Static releases for the Order - and called upon my trusty Falcons preparing for battle...

A Touch of Beach Glamour

They say that Life's a Beach and it really sounds nice to be on the beach right now, but in RL here they are limiting access and turning people away from the beaches on the grounds of social distancing... 

I've never been a lover of just sitting on the beach, and I really don't like swimming in the sea, but I used to spend hours with my mum on family vacations collecting pretty shells or sea glass. I have many bottles of them on shelves in my house, each a memory of a happy time! 

Rudh on the other hand is a little more of a beach bunny, maybe because she's got the figure for it, but she loves to laze around on the beach in a bikini!! 

The CANN!BAL beach is gorgeous for doing just that... It's the stuff of photographer's dreams, and there are lots of hidden places to spend a while with your loved one... 

There's also lots of places to show off that amazing beachy look you pulled together!! Just like the one Rudh wore to the beach today!!! Everything from her amazing Shiva Hip Wrap - from Cellar Door - to the cute Foxes Bikini and the super cute Le Fleur Sandals - from 1313 MockingBird Lane, which I have included a close-up look of by the way - are teamed together for perfection on the beach...

The Month of Love - Second Life Calendar 2017

It's early February and as the days begin to get lighter for longer I am hoping that this year will be more successful than the last. So far things aren't looking so bright, but you never know there is plenty of time for it to all change right?
You may remember last month, I started a challenge called Second Life Calendar (Challenge) and so today I bring to you my February instalment of my Second Life Calendar!

February is a month that is dedicated to LOVE - although I personally feel love should be celebrated all year by anyone and everyone. Valentines hearts and romance seem to dominate the month, with Anti-Valentines being sent and shared too, and you're always left guessing will I or will I not be someone's sweetheart!
So let's have a few non-Valentine's facts about February, shall we? 
As the shortest month of the year, February in the Welsh language is often called "y mis bach", which translates to little month, although the Saxons referred to it as "Solmonath"- the month of mud or wet sand, which seems fairly appropriate - whilst in the 8th century it was referred to as the "month of cakes" due to all the sweet treats being offered to the Gods. The month of cakes sounds so much better than the more realistic Solmonath name I feel?! With an amethyst birthstone and the flower of the month being the violet, this purple month is the only one that could pass without a full moon!!! 
Now let's talk about this month's calendar picture, I've decided to share a larger version of the picture that I used so you can see things a bit more clearly!

The outfit is made up of older bits and pieces, things that I've had stashed away including this adorable Faux Fur Stole and Dress set from Foxes, which seemed to work perfectly with the simply gorgeous Anais Necklace from Kunglers, and seemed to be a great look for exploring the Winter Moon location. 
I just hope that it doesn't snow anymore, and hope that I can keep myself from getting too excited about March... March is one of the best months of the year!!!

Trapped in a Dream of the Future

Sometimes you have days when you feel like you are floating... While your body goes through the motions and tries to carry on as normal, your mind drifts and floats, and it's at times like these when it's very hard to feel a true sense of normality. Today is one of those days for me... I feel like I'm in a dream... 

I got a little over the top creative, and I'm not sure how well I did with it or not... 
My mind went to a place where you're able to glimpse the future... In this case an evil dead dolly, holding what appears to be something powerful, a sceptre or a staff perhaps - in this case a Violetility Void Staff... She has undergone a transformation of sorts, no longer just a living dead doll, now she has added vampire fangs and a wound marking her as truly evil... She'd finally found her calling! 
I don't honestly know why I am in an evil mood today, I'm very tired yes, but had a very much needed date night to a concert in RL with HellBone, so I should be happy lol...
In fact, I think I need to stop talking, maybe I'll take a nap and try to get rid of this sleepy feeling... I'll let you enjoy this pretty dream of mine, and a little of the band I went to see last night as a treat!

Kiss Me Under the Light

It's getting colder here in Holland, the wind this morning was like being in a freezer even though it's not yet at freezing levels... It's always nice when it gets this cold to have someone to help keep you warm, and I know that without HellBone in bed next to me every day I'd end up spending hours trying to warm my feet up - luckily he's like a walking radiator!
In SL you don't feel the cold, and I frequently go out shopping at Winter Sims in outfits that are nothing more than panties LOL, but it's also nice to have someone to cosy up to when things are a little snowy, and a cuddle is always a good thing!

Dean is someone that is not only good for posing with, he's also good at giving cuddles! I know that I can always rely on him to give me a hug and help me sort out my issues, one way or another...
The location we are posing in is in fact one of the awesome pose props created by Come Soon Poses, called Kiss Me Under The Light. Luckily I was wrapped up warm, but it was even better to be in the arms of a friend for such a tight hug... The cute Besom & Reign Hair called Kitty, kept my ears warm while the fluffy Foxes jacket wrapped me up all snug!
It was lovely to pose with Dean on a winter scene like this, and he's such a good model and friend to sit still for so long hehe...

The Road to Nowhere...

Before snow takes over fully, I want to stay revelling in one of my favourite times of the year - Autumn - just for a little bit longer... Just a little while? PLEASE??? 
I know that everywhere is already gearing up for a white Christmas... COME ON GUYS December only just started it's still WAYYYYYY too early for that isn't it?? 

I wanted somewhere I could take a walk through SL and enjoy the natural colours. The sun has been avoiding the trees over here as of late and the bright autumn colours have already started to fade out, I had to find somewhere in SL... I was lead to a place called Starfall, by the discovery of photos from a landscape blogger - Ziki Questi... Starfall is quite simply for anyone who loves Autumn, absolutely gorgeous! A Photographers Dream!
I was all dressed up for a walk to nowhere - as the sign pointed out - and spent a good few hours just rambling and looking at all of the pretty hidden places this place has to offer...
My big, warm, soft, new coat from Foxes, that I picked up at No. 21, just seemed to protect me from the wind, whilst the Quinn Boots from Reign made for excellent walking boots...

Don't Panic, the Paranormal Investigators are here!

Finally my favourite day of the year is upon us, and I can run around and look crazy silly in whatever costume I want and no one can say anything - not that I'd listen to them if they did anyway - because it's HALLOWEEN!!! Better than Christmas - although that comes a close second - and all of the other holidays, and I will include International Talk Like A Pirate Day here too, Halloween has and always will be my favourite time of the year!

Now I bet you're expecting some weird and wonderful costume from me today... That may happen I might post something a little extra later on, but for now I did something a little normal looking hehe... Heck everyday for me is a dress up day, so maybe normal should be a Halloween costume?!

So yes... I look normal... But I had to... I just started my first day on a new job, working with a Paranormal Investigation Team called "I want to Believe". They'd been sent into a house with some very strange paranormal activity, and needed an extra pair of hands!
OK so I didn't get a job doing that, but you do get to join in an investigation during the best event of the year in SL!
I am referring to the newest - and 8th edition - of the Pulse Games Event... Don't Panic!
It's been open a while now, but I just wanted to spend time exploring it with a little less lag... Trust me waiting nearly killed me LOL...

The hair is a newer creation from Magika, called Beans, which I seem to be wearing a heck of a lot hehe... Then with a pair of old jeans, I pulled on a new shirt and Aviator Jacket in a gunmetal colour from Foxes.
I wish you luck on your ghost hunting expeditions... I will never forgot what I found, and maybe by this time next wear I will have found a job elsewhere within the Pulse Games Events!
