First of all, I want to say, Happy St. Patricks Day! Whether you're Irish or not, it seems to be the done thing now that everyone gets a little green on March 17th, and dances an Irish jig or two after consuming one too many pints of Guinness... So while the world is going corona crazy, maybe it's time step back and get your Guinness on?! I most definitely did, while I was exploring the gorgeous little corner of Ireland in SL that is Finian's Dream! In other news though, and the main point of today's post is it's time to share with you an update to my pretty barbie, one that I'm kinda excited to see finally happen but yes, I know, I'm late to the party! Rudh has had a little change, nothing majorly noticeable, but she's definitely looking more grown up...
I'd been talking about it with my bestie booboo, Manky, for some time now but never actually found the push I needed to get myself out there to find what I wanted. Manky not only pushed me in at the deep end, by giving me the means to fund my upgrade as a birthday gift, but he also - like the shape-shifting guru he is - seemed to know EXACTLY which head would be best for me... Ladies and Gentlemen, Rudh is now Catwa Bento and BoM-ified! The Catwa "Jasmine" head, and a gorgeous skin from amara beauty - which I stumbled upon at the Skin Fair - and now I cannot stop looking at myself! Why didn't I do this sooner? Why does my fear of change hold me back SO MUCH when everyone seems to be able to chop and change their heads so easily LOL... Thank you so much for the amazing Birthday gift Manky BooBoo! It's a Monday morning, and therefore a back to work day for me... I am so tired, beyond tired, as this weekend was a very busy and somewhat stressful one for me, but right now I will be good, I will put my work face on and attempt to stay awake at my desk. I should have worked from home today, but was made to come in and train someone! I don't want to rant but that should be my bosses job, and hey if he doesn't want to do his work, perhaps I can have his salary for doing it instead?! It's time for me to put on a work face and pretend I am smart anyway... Yay Me!?!
I wish work was as nice as this... Sitting back with a cute friend - yes it's Eugene again! - and letting him do all the sciency stuff, working out all the hard problems and letting me look cute with a cup of tea perhaps?! The furniture - including everything you see here except for me and my date - is Consignment created! You could hardly blame a girl for sitting snuggled up in a sofa like this, I think Consignment makes some of the snuggliest looking sofas in SL - but that's a personal opinion! When I was little I had a dream of being a ballerina - that or a Disney Princess, but I wasn't fussy I'd have been any of the Princesses - I don't think I am alone in this desire too, I know a lot of little girls that say they want to be a Ballerina when they grow up... I went to hundreds of lessons and danced my little heart out, only to be told that I was too fat when I hit puberty... Sad story I know, but heck at least in SL I could live out that childhood fantasy, even if it's just for a moment...
Now OK, I know that a ballerina isn't my normal style of costume, but I really couldn't help myself once I found the gorgeous outfit created by Dead Dollz for a gacha. I grabbed the separate parts in the colours I wanted, each of the sweater, leotard and skirt can be found in black, white or nude tones, and then remembered the REIGN Ballerina warmers that I had stashed away in my hoard... Now when it came to taking a photo I know that I have ballerina poses, and I know that there are a million different poses for the theme out there but it was the simplest and yet most un-dancerish of the poses that caught my attention most. This Full Scene pose is one from Come Soon Poses, and I just loved the way that the ballerina in me was taking a few moments respite to adjust her shoes before dancing once more... Such a serene looking pose, I couldn't resist! Perhaps I will audition for a role in a SL performance of Swan Lake? Is there one?! I love it when I buy things in SL that instantly make me want to be creative... I love it even more when those things help me create something beautiful... Though most of the time, my beautiful tends to end up being something dark too... I'm not so good at the pretty pictures that are all light and girlie... This one is one of my new favourites, and OK I say that a lot but there is just something real looking about this picture... Something that I've never been able to capture before!
The whole idea for this picture came about due to the event that is ROMP. I had been browsing through the many stalls at the location and spotted these amazing Bites & Hickeys from antielle, and could not hit the buy button fast enough. They are available in three different styles, with or without hickeys and a bloody version too - which I surprised myself by not getting LOL - and each style has darker or lighter looks to it, so you can really be creative with your playtime scars. The outfit that I chose to wear is something that is so pretty, the front is lovely but I cannot get enough of the corset lacing up the back, this time the Dead Dollz Minuet outfit is a rear view hehe... You can grab yourself one of these outfits from We <3 RP at the moment, and never fear they are available in pretty pastel colours as well as the dark one that I am wearing... Waking up on Sunday morning I still feel like I'm in a dream... It's time for one of my absolute favourite shopping sales in RL today! Books by Weight! I'll be paying a small amount per kilo of books and oh my gosh the savings I've had hehe!!! Ever have one of those days when all you want to do is shut out the world, curl up and sleep, all the while though your mind thinks 'someone save me!' Well today I am having one of those kind of days... I woke up this morning and although I LOVE thunderstorms I prefer not to have to go out in them and well wouldn't you know while I'm hiding from the rain in a metal bus shelter, the storm started! Add to that I am suffering from an emotional rollercoaster and BAM isn't it great to be Rudh right now?! So the picture that I have chosen to share with you today is representative of that feeling of 'someone save me!' A princess locked in a tower, BUT there are signs of hope for her, someone has left her a rose... Who she doesn't know, but I'm hoping that like the princess, someone will leave me a rose - or show me my sparkle again or even just give me a hug randomly!
The rose is actually a part of the decoration on the Paper Moon Song's Ephemera Tray called My Lady Silver. This is part of a collection different trays that can be won at the Fantasy Gacha Carnival, but each tray varies in theme... Some are more masculine, and others have food!! The Princesses dress is actually one of my favourite freebies in a LONG time... It's a gorgeously coloured version of the Aura Gown from Valentina E, that you can get your hands on ABSOLUTELY FREE by joining The Fantasy Collective group and hitting the board on the Valentina E display! I wonder if some handsome prince will come and whisk me away... HellBone is a sweetheart, but lacking in the romance department... Maybe someone like Sam Winchester please??

Sometimes I take a picture that I really love the entire way through the photography process, and others never seem to be right until you're at the end and you're scrutinising things. This is one of those pictures for me, and it sums up my feelings towards it's self if you just look at the hidden depths of it. It's a little demon in the suburban but city neighbourhood... Somewhere similar perhaps to the houses that are inhabited by the desperate housewives?! The location is the Festival of Sins Envy area, but this little demon is definitely of the envious type, and perhaps she went from desperate housewife to depraved demon... You never know what happens behind the lace curtains and closed doors!!
The look I am wearing is mostly made up of mostly ImmateriA... The dress, was one of the reasons I felt like I should be a desperate housewife, it just struck me as something that might be seen worn in the suburbs by some fairly well-to-do fashionista. I LOVE the lace detailing and the shape of this dress, and although I am not entirely sure the Aristo event is still running, if you wanted to try checking it out then it's a must! The wings, tail and horns make up part of a set by ImmateriA too - the Unseelie Hunter is a demon, and it comes in various colours that also include a skin. I didn't wear the skin as I wanted to look kinda human but one that was letting her inner envious demoness take control... You can tell I'm envious, I'm so envious my eyes are green with Envy... The weekend is always a time for getting chores done, and this weekend for me in RL was no exception... My mother was thinking about coming for a RL visit - something that I will always refer to as a Royal Visit - so my house and everything in it has to be spotless... Even the dog will be getting a bath, little does she know it yet! In SL I couldn't escape the cleaning though either... One of my closest friends asked me to help him out by washing his car... Little did I know he'd be sat with a cold beer watching whilst I cleaned the entire car LOL...
OK so that's not entirely how it played out lol but it's the way it looks in the photos and well, you know me I like to tell a good story too!! One of my closest friends, Mongo, has been building cars again recently and they are very cute cars. He's not officially starting to sell them yet, but when he subtly hinted at would I like to take some pictures with one I couldn't really say no! Lil Bastid is too cute to say no to LOL... PLUS I'd just been sent the perfect poses from Image Essentials for the job... They came with a different car to pose on, but as with all of the awesome poses from Image Essentials you can take them from the object and use them seperately! I LOVE YOU for doing this Kay, it's such a brilliant idea! You can get yourself these poses and a car - if you're lucky - from The Depraved Nation Thrift Shop! My outfit was something that I kinda threw together and even though Mongo wasn't with me while I was shooting the pictures, there were definitely no complaints about my choice of outfit LOL... The shorts were my old, go-to denim shorts from SAKIDE, but the top was brand new. It's a wet t-shirt from Miss Canning, which is great as it includes various different colours of skin through the wet top PLUS waters in various colours LOL... Then when teamed with a pair of the Valeria Heels from Bens Boutique it was PERFECT... Damn good for giving a show, as the collage of photos I've made shows, and well only Mongo has the fullsize set LOL!!! He was talking about using me as an incentive to get people to buy his cars... Buy two get Rudh free kinda deal?! Wonder how Hell will take that LOL...

I've been so inspired with my picture taking recently and keep taking photos that I find myself in love with... So not all of them are the best but today I want to share with you one that I really love... like Really Really! The outfit was something a little crazy, the location was one I was shown by my SL sister Lil and well everything fell together so flawlessly that it brings a smile to my face. Don't you love it when this happens?
The location I set up the telescope - OK it was already there and free to use, but just roll with me on this - was a place called Just Another Tequila Sunrise. This places has a very gorgeous and natural feel, plus if you're wanting to rez things all you need to do is join a group and voila! Luckily for me though, the telescope was already out and ready to use - it's a LISP one by the way! But it is the outfit that makes me feel the happiest. I LOVE the way it fell together and it looks so perfect! The dress is one from Valentina E that I bought way back now at the Wayward Carnival. I couldn't resist, it was crying out "BUY ME BUY ME" - but then I have a shopping addiction and a lot of things do that LOL... I just loved the Carnie look to it, and couldn't leave it behind. Then when I was accessorising I remembered this awesome bell necklace that I won from a gacha at the past round of Origami from a store called 白玉siratama and then I teamed it with a bow scarf from DRIFT... The thing that I think tied it all together was the adorable Bunhawk hair from Catwa... The outfit looked great but this messy style just made smile.. Can you see why I love this picture? One last post for today and I wanted to show you something strange! Somehow - please don't ask me how, I've got no idea - it has happened again... Hell has caused us to adopt another of SL's strays... This time it's a baby panda! What started out as Hell luring the sweet and innocent Athrun to the Dark Side, began heading them down a slippery slope until jokes about being his father actually started to mean a little more... Now I have a step son who, along with my hubby, thinks that Star Wars is the next best thing since Cake! So please bare with me as I once again introduce you to a member of my SL Family I never knew I wanted and swore to myself that I would never again adopt more "kids"... It's time to show the world I am weak as I introduce to you my "Stepson" - that is rapidly becoming more son without the step part - Athrun "Panda" Holmes!
So happy to have you in our lives Ath, even if mine now has a little less cake in it... I count myself as fairly lucky to have someone that is willing to distract HellBone and keep him out of my way. He's also very good at entertaining HellBone with talk of Star Wars and building... But what makes me the most surprised is that when you look at the photo of the three of us, Athrun really does look a little like HellBone's offspring LOL... There is a definite family connection there!!! I mean OK sometimes he does have a little more fashion flair - obviously something he picked up from yours truly - but I just couldn't resist taking our new family photo with him and his dad looking so cute hehe... There is someone who is a MASSIVE part of my SL and my RL, but that plays a fairly low key part in the day to day ramblings of my blog... I talk a lot about my friends and family members, be that MC and non-MC family, as well as the things that inhabit the dark and crazy corners of my mind... Yet this person, although occasionally mentioned, rarely gets to take centre stage... Today it's his turn - alongside my own dolly - to literally step into the candlelit spotlight and play a pivotal role in one of my rambling posts...
I am talking about HellBone! My long-suffering, grumpy, teddybear of a husband... We put each other through a lot... In SL he uses me as his personal assistant - I'm his secretary for the MC, his manager for the store and the prop he uses when he needs a female body shape while building, whereas he has a massive tendency to complain as I ask him to sit on a pose ball and let me use him as a photography prop. We tease, we torture and in some cases we end up wanting to kill each other, but in RL behind closed doors - and when he's in a good mood - he's the best and snuggliest teddybear I could have ever hoped for... So when I saw the recently released couple poses from Signature Pose, one called Safe and the other called Kiss me you Fool... I couldn't help myself wanting to use him as my photography prop at least once... This one is for you babe... Kiss me you Fool!!!

A few days ago I was reading through Flickr with my morning coffee, and I stumbled upon a random photo, something that caught my attention, something that was seeking SL faces... I read a little deeper and it appeared that Ashley Carter - creator of the Voidar SL series - wanted faces for an upcoming project... I couldn't help but send my name in never thinking that I could be asked to participate! I had however, pulled on an outfit that I was very much in love with and even though I wasn't sure I would be doing anything with it, but after becoming a face for the Voidar project I wanted to be able to give you a little hint as to which face was mine!!!
The outfit was one that my sister Solde spotted and instantly thought she had to show me as it was just pure Rudh... I couldn't agree more! The dress is one from drbc - called Starla in a Ribcage Print! When I wore it with the loose braid, called Leah from CATWA, it seemed the perfect summer outfit, all it needed was some accessorising... Luckily, during the brand new and awesome Mix Event I managed to find the perfect bag - something I have a lot of in RL but very few in SL - a Goldfish Messenger Bag from Le Primitif to be exact. Then the perfect shoes seemed to jump at me out of my hoard too, the Valeria Platforms from Bens Boutique are SO adorable and so very fashionable right now! There was just something missing, something which later became my recognising feature in the Voidar Project! I'll let you work out what that is hehe...

First off I want to start this post with a HUGE announcement!!!
Yes that's right, as of this post I can officially say "HOLY CRAP! 1,000 Posts!" That's a massive milestone for me... I never ever felt that I would reach that level when I first started blogging. I always thought it was a fad that would be over quickly, that I'd grow tired of things - I've never been very good at writing a journal - but I found reasons to keep coming back... Challenges had me hooked, and I managed to get myself a few very supportive sponsors as well as some awesome readers, but the best aspect of my blog for me is that it has just become so therapeutic... No matter how bad my day has been I've always found solace in taking a photo and then writing about it here... For a special post, that will always be special as my 1000th post, I am going to take everyone onto a trip into my favourite fantasy land - no not SL lol - Wonderland here we come!!!
I have always loved Alice in Wonderland, in fact her adventures through the looking glass were favourites of mine too, and SL sometimes seems like a wonderland all of it's own... We can be anything we want to be in SL, and there are so many crazy things to see, I'm sure without looking too hard you will be able to have your own adventures just like Alice did... I've turned Rudh into my own weird and twisted version of Alice... The entire reason for this ramble is due to the outfit that was offered in the Alice in Sexyland hunt recently - yes I know it's over but I was on holiday! - from adoness, and painted my face with a pretty eyeshadow from Zibska - which you can get as a prize in The Body Art Hunt... I had to, however, make her less cute and a little more sinister by combining my Alice with an evil Cheshire Cat - doesn't she have a wicked grin! What a way to celebrate my 1000th post, my 1000th ramble and my 1000th reason to say thank you for reading my ramblings, thank you for following me and thank you for all of the lovely comments through my rambling history!!! I've just gotten back from my vacation, and it felt like I was a kid in a candy store or it was Christmas morning... There were so many gorgeous things awaiting my attention in my hoard, things I'd logged in just to make sure I didn't miss out on, and things that I had been sent by people I blog for, that I didn't know where to begin... I was pulling outfits together like a crazy person, and I now have so many pretty looks ready and waiting that I am not quite sure where to start when it comes to covering them all!! All of them are different, all of them are gorgeous... So I have treated it like a lucky dip, the posts are ready to be written and I close my eyes and open one hehe... This look was inspired by the gorgeous release from Stargazer Creations for this month's round of The Instruments. I love the vibrant colours, and as soon as I saw it I was Bollywood inspired... It comes with the pretty tiara and some VERY large shoulder pads - of which I decided to wear just one... I'm cool like that lol... Besides it would have clashed with my awesome braid, which is a new CATWA release for Cosmopolitan... I sat for a while and henna tattooed my hands in a Boom design - from Sweet Poison, which perfectly fit with the dress and then all that was needed was a photography location... I spent AGES looking for somewhere, forgetting the one place that simply screams Indian Elegance... ZAARA!!! Once I was there, it didn't take me long to find a secluded but romantic spot to capture the perfect picture that would represent the Indian Summer heat and showcase this gorgeous dress flawlessly! What a beautiful way to start the week!!
I am loving being a home at the moment, it's only been 5 days since I left Holland and everyone in SL behind but aside from a feeling of relaxation I realised just how much I miss everyone in world right now... Normally on my days off - or working at home days - I would get up, log into the PC and then after a while into SL and share a morning coffee with my MC Sister and RL friend Lil... It's weird not being able to do that...
I won't complain, as I am loving being at home, and I am lucky enough to have the people in my SL that mean the most on my phone with me LOL, but when you talk to someone for hours every day it always feels a little strange when they are gone! I do have a few photos of myself and Lil stashed away that will no doubt be blogged whilst I am in England... This one is the first of them! It's easy to just take photos of us, she's there with me when the rest of the MC are asleep and as a photographer herself we are both using the other as a photo prop LOL... This photo was mostly her fault though, as she had been shopping at the recent World Goth Fair, and had found these amazing {MV} Bonedancer Pants... I HAD TO HAVE THEM... The rest of the outfit was just stuff I had stashed away in my hoard, but when you put it all together, and then see me leapfrog over my sister, it's one of those moments that really feels fun captured on print this way hehe... I just miss our morning coffees! Last night - whilst still on holiday in the UK I might add - I went to a concert with my mother, sister and cousin... Reliving my childhood days at a Pop Concert of such a big magnitude I feel thoroughly blown away this morning. I was like one HUGE jaw dropping party, on a scale that this old-school pop band has always been capable of. I feel like I am floating on a cloud this morning! So when I woke up with a need to share this with you, I felt lucky to have a photo that shared the bright colours of the RL concert ready and waiting to share with you too... I went bright, I found the COOLEST stage that I could whilst taking this photo... It was at a place called Madam Lala's Revue in the London sims and after asking permission from it's owner I danced and sang on stage, just as the RL band I watched last night had done!
The dress is one that I have had waiting to be blogged for a while now - I really hope that I do not get in trouble for blogging it so late after the event it was released at has closed - but this Paper Moon dress, a Friends Electric Leather Dress, was just so cool and kinda reminiscent of something that might have been worn by my cartoon pop hero Jem that I couldn't resist using it! I teamed it with a bright yellow Lost Junction collar - to match the yellow belt of the dress - and some super high HOLLYHOOD Elsa Heels keeping the rest of my look simple so that I could rock out in style! I plan on dancing around like crazy today... You never know who will be watching so it's best to dance like no one is, and I will leave you with a video of the band I went to see last night!!! It's dressing up day...Today I want to be a Princess... Yes that's right, a Princess... Not something I ever normally choose, unless it's a zombie or some other dark style princess, but no today I am a PRINCESS!!! I think the reason that I have reverted to a childhood dream of mine is that it is something easy to deal with! I've been so busy - and OK maybe that's not a strong enough word for it - dealing with drama of the MC lately, and busy - in a good way - writing an article for a magazine that I will tell you more about real soon, that it feels like the stresses are too much and I want to act like I did when I was little... Back when I was 5 or 6 my biggest aspiration in life was to be a Disney Princess when I grew up LOL!
In SL I am able to get one step closer and live that dream for myself! This dress from Stargazer Creations - called Pernilla in a bright Ruby colour - gave me that push to be a princess... I mean it should, it was released at an event called Fit for a Princess - that closes on June 7th by the way so HURRY if you want to check it out! It even comes WITH A TIARA... You can buy the dress and save yourself millions on a pretty gold crown for an INSTAPRINCESS look!!! Then in true Disney Princess style I went for a walk amongst the flowers, on a lonely hill, without an escort - because you know as well as I do EVERY princess can go without one LOL - for what actually became more like a Maria - that Sound of Music Nun - moment LOL... The Hill itself is an amazing pose prop from Image Essentials - that was an older event release but I am doing so badly with getting releases out on time at the moment and this one is available at the mainstore. Thanks to Kay Weston, Miss Image Essentials herself, I can now live my Princessy Nun dreams and skip over this mountainous hill... Sometimes when I am working on an event line-up and I get sent items, I have no shame in admitting that I find myself thinking what the heck am I going to do with this... Not everything you ever get sent is to your taste. I can say, with 100% honesty, that no matter what items I am sent to blog, I try them, I take my time to see what I could do with them and if they really don't work for me they are stored for a while in case I get an idea in my head... Then again sometimes people come up with the ideas for me! This time it was Lil's idea lol...
Lil said "Hey I could wear that suit and we could work on something together..." and it was sorted, the idea of a collaboration made it easier and we were so enjoying turning something that had been difficult into something fun! The outfit I chose to blog for Horror Haute today is one from Facepalm - called Damballah. It includes a set with top and long skirt, which to be honest brought out a bit of a gypsy style feeling in me! The outfit Lil is wearing is also a Horror Haute release, perfect for guys but also pretty cool on the ladies too!!! I kept most of my outfit simple... Featuring just some simple jewellery, although perhaps the yumyums ears and tail were a bit strange LOL but I was thinking Voodoo! Who says a Voodoo queen cannot have cat ears and a tail, maybe the magic went wrong?
