What will the Future think?

The Celebrations for the Queen's Platinum Jubilee were bright and fun and perfect to show thanks to Queen Elizabeth II during the concert at the palace last night. I'm not a royalist, but she's given her life to supporting the country, and has been through so much as a guide for our nation... Now one of the reasons I'm talking about it, is because I was inspired with a section that they shared on the environment, it got me thinking about what we'd be leaving for the future... 
My mind was racin... A story came to life...   

As a lover of all things Mermaid, my mind went straight to "what would a mermaid from the future think of the seas we're creating?" You hear so often of the garbage that is being dumped into the oceans every year - I know that it's not just oceans being polluted but in this case that's what I'm thinking about more... 
In the Mermaid's Cove - available from Synnergy as a gorgeous backdrop - one of the Cyber Cove Mermaids - from Decoy at Cyber Fair - of the future has returned... Swimming through the waters, dodging the trash and wearing her oxygen tank to Just Breathe since the water is now toxic.

Cosmik Bowling

Back on the whole randomness flowing from my brain type thought process today, but sometimes that can help me with some amazing, magical adventures - that may or may not be affected by the drugs that I've been on recently, making my already crazy brain go into overdrive! Today was no exception... I ended up playing a game of Cosmik Bowling... 

The best place for Cosmik Bowling is at the K&S Bowling Alley... It's the best place for the space bowling, the lanes are lit by the sparkling of the stars - in this case the Glowing Stars from Kraftwork, that are available at Anthem - while you're surrounded by the pretty planets... 
Since you're in space at this bowling alley, you need to wear the right equipment... A helmet is a must, but then you might need an adorable suit to wear, you never know why will be looking at you when you hit those pins... Some Lunchmeat perhaps? I don't mean the meat that you might put into sandwiches or turn into fritters, I mean the store that makes some amazing clothes and accessories, that has created this awesome Melon Bodysuit which accessorizes perfectly with goodies like the Normandy "Solo" Bracers...

The Sea Witches' Daughter

I'm done with work this week and I'm going to allow my mind to wander... I've been wanting to watch my FAVOURITEST of all Disney Movies this week, the Little Mermaid if you're wondering, but it's caused me to get a little inspired and while I was looking through my collection of bloggables... WELL... This happened... In my head I became Ursula's able to walk on land daughter... 

She came back into the ocean at the request of her mother, bringing the necklace that she'd found whilst snooping around within Queen Ariel's personal belongings... The tentacles of her mother - though they are actually a static pack from Cubic Cherry - slowly wrapping around her, as her mother's darling pets, Flotsam & Jetsam - a pair of Lernaean Hydra from Fika at Pandora, and yes I KNOW they are snakes not eels! She was pleased with my choice of black latex 'Oracle Dress' - from Psycho Barbie - but all she really wanted was the necklace, as it was important to destroying a certain Queen... 
No one ever said being the daughter of a Disney Villain would be easy...

A Space Bunny went travelling...

Today, I had the first of my vaccination injections, and yes I know that it affects everyone differently, but today I'm mostly feeling somewhat spaced out... My arm is a bit sore, but my had feels like I need sleep and tonnes of it! I almost fell asleep earlier and I found myself drifting into dreams of floating around in the stars. 
When I was able to wake up a little more I still felt like I was floating around and when Rudh took in her little rocket - a toy model from [Not a Toy] has been used in the following reproduction of the encounter - up into the night sky and parked on a space cloud for a bit of resting space... 
It was all very peaceful, until she spotted someone walking through the clouds... A space babe, harvesting some beautiful Star Girl Plants...

Welcome to the Jungle

It's a jungle out there kiddies, everyone is struggling to stay alive right now but sometimes I wish that Darwin's Theory of Evolution would work more for the human race... Seriously, just going to the store today proved to me that there needs to be a reduction of stupid in the human gene pool... Sorry I know that sounds callous, but I cannot stop that thought whenever I go out in public sometimes...

When their light fades, she'll help them recharge...

What happens when the glistening planets in the nights sky start to lose their luster and grow dim? Can they sleep, or relax, to recharge, or is there someone out there that will charge them with happy sparkles to make them glow?! A cerebral being, a deity of sorts, whose soul purpose is to relight the stars and charge the planets with glowing magic!

If not, there should be... For the record, I'm still terrified of Aliens, hence why I said a cerebral being like a deity, I'd never condone aliens LOL...

The Sea Witch got the Trident!

 Everyone may have realised by now that I have a bit of a love of Mermaids... I always wanted to be Ariel as I was a kid, and now I realise I'd have much more fun in Ursula's body... Who wouldn't wanna be an evil undersea witch?! 
I'd be the kinda seawitch that hides in a dark little cave with my monsterous tentacles draining the life out of the brave little fishies that swim by to create an army of ghost fish hehe... 

After all, Hentai Fair is running and there are just SO MANY TENTACLES that a girl cannot help but let the monster in the cave come to life... Reading lead to The Zombie Incident

I'm still on the whole idea of taking time to do things for myself to make me learn more... Taking on new hobbies, improving on the things that I can and do do, and doing the things that I enjoy more. Reading has been taking much more of a priority... I've read more than one book and a few magazines, but now even Rudh has been getting into it... She was soo deeply involved with the Zombie Magazine, she didn't notice the problem with the door... 

I guess being put on watch duty while she's got a copy of the Junk Food Zombie Comic in her hands was a bad idea... They're trying to steal my friend...

The last two days I've been at work in RL, so my 31 for Halloween is running a little late... I'm also feeling tired and more than a little drained... There's so much of a stress when it comes to RL due to the second wave of Covid, that I needed some time to just have a lazy day and well, today that's what I've had... Mostly because I've been suffering with a headache all day! 
I've been locked away in the semi-darkness, trying to make my headache go away but my mind has been playing tricks on me, and I've made some very naughty new friends... 

I always had lots of friends in my bedroom, I like to have lots of plushies so that I can hug them at any time... I LOVEEEEE having a huge collection, and that goes for SL too... 
So while I'm locked away in the dark, with the little shadow children - that were the reason that I got locked away in the first place... Dancing like a Stripper

 Have ya heard that popular song that seems to have taken over Tik Tok... "Somebody come get her, she's dancing like a stripper"... HellBone keeps watching these videos and I had the song stuck in my head, having no idea where it was from as it drove me nuts! It did however, lead me to an epic photo for the day hehe... 

Of course, when she's dancing like a stripper it's never going to be something normal... There's always a little weirdness to her style!

A Necrotic Party from the Darkest Depths

The darkest corners of Second Life are filling with magic... While Summer still has most of SL's inhabitants still in it's warm sticky grip, there are darker places calling those of us that like to hide in the shadows... Way down deep in the Dreadful Depths of Aenigma, there's a birthday party taking place, a dark little Necrotic Birthday event unfolds... 

Inside the great castle of Picklesong, Rudh laid in wait for the party to begin and now the Necrosis has started! 

I feel like I'm all over the place today, a little bit of this a little of that and one heck of a picture that makes me happy... I'm here to start celebrating the 1 year anniversary of the awesome dark little event that is Necrosis - more party to come later I'm sure - but I cannot believe that the little corner of darkness, hosted by Guen Gothly and Asbjorn Raven has already been brightening up the darkest corners of SL for a year! HAPPY ANNIVERSARY NECROSIS!!! 

While on the subject of Necrosis I guess I better talk a little about the things I'm showing off today, and Necrosis seems like a great starting point! I have two very awesome Necrosis releases to share right now, this AMAZING outfit from Dark Love, which features not only the dress, horns, halo and head chain but also a harness for the upper leg that I'm not wearing! I also changed up my tattoo, something that very rarely happened and got a little "Magik" - thanks to this GERMINAL tattoo! 

I'm not only playing with Necrosis though, OH NO, I'm dabbling into the Deadful Depths of Aenigma too... The Sea Witch, that's heading out to celebrate Necrosis' Birthday, has accessorized with some brilliant finds of the depths... Her hair was styled by KURURU, and her scales have been made to sparkle - check out the close up below of the amazing face make-up from NAR MATTARU called "Sea Witch" - and brandishing The Depths Trident - from Astara - she grabbed a Nightmariner's Lamp - from Static - and stalked the halls heading towards the Necrotic Party!!

What is it?!

It's been a long while since the mermaid in me was allowed out to her time in the limelight. She's been hiding away in the dark, murky waters until the light is able to flicker on the pool. 
While she was swimming around nearer the bottom of the lake at Lost Unicorn, the little mermaid was scavenging for human things - taking after her idol Ariel - when something really strange caught her eye. A glowing orb with a rainbow sheen, she had to investigate it with her little seahorse friends!

Her little steampunk horses - from Astara at Engine Room - warned her not to touch it, they were worried by the glow coming off the orb - which is actually a CELESTE Garden Orb that has been shrunk down to fit my hand size but at full size it's GORGEOUS for in the Garden! - but what is it?!
The opalescent rainbow colours had her mesmerized... Maybe it's a trick of the sea witch?!

Ready for Cyber Punk

Tomorrow is the opening of a big event, the Cyper Punk Fair! So I decided that today was a great day to get into the spirit of celebration, and go all cyber barbie. It's something that I don't tend to do all that often, and the rainbow colours felt like a lot of fun, but don't be expecting this combination all that often please LOL... 

Since the event starts tomorrow, you'll have to wait for the LM but the crazy little cyber punk chick that it brought out of me is on her way to grab some pretty stuff and bargains... Piggies for a Princess

I have always been a bit of a collector - when I was younger I'd collect key rings, or erasers. I went through a phase of collecting Minnie Mouse stuff, and now days I have some weird and wonderfully odd collections. Yet recently in SL I've found myself amassing quiet a large number of pigs?! Daddy's girl is a little piggy - that's a fetish right?! - but when I was organizing all of my goodies, there seemed to be quiet a lot... 

That's not all of them in the photo by the way, those are just the tip of the iceberg, and what's even weirder is that in RL I'm not actually a fan of pigs all that much?! I mean they are cute, and very intelligent beings, but they just wouldn't get me crazy collecting them!!
Ther are just so many piggies, I don't really know where to start!! Part of the collection is actually a release from Inner Demons - the Piggy Chair, the jar and one of the cushions all form parts of the Everything Piggies Gacha Collection, and I guess when I saw everything piggies I kinda went with it, rolling on the rest LOL... I went to town decorating my babygirl dream bedroom with piggies!
All these soft piggies are perfect for when she wants to bask in the Afterglow, which leads me in fact to a couple of new releases straight out of the Afterglow event! This adorable "Bridget" Nightwear - worn here in a tan colour which is just one of a selection of colour combinations - from Tooty Fruity, and the even more adorable Astara "Timeout Chair" for Daddy's Princesses that misbehave are brilliant new releases available until February 6th at Afterglow!

Drinks and Dancing in the Afterglow

Today is my last day at home before I go on Holiday and oh my gosh it is so very needed. I want to take some time out to just relax and be with my RL family, the people that I miss so much now that I live in the Netherlands. It will be time to chill, do some shopping and read a few good books, while spending time with the family since I can't over Christmas and I CANNOT WAIT! 
This does. however, leave Rudh alone to fend for herself for a little while. Not that I'd imagine she minds... The times she's in control are her party times! 

So while the boss is away the avatar will play, she's going to party in the Afterglow and have tons of fun doing just that... Summoning Wolves during the Eclipse

There's so much pretty shit going on with the Halloween season, but one of those events that I love has come back and I cannot be more excited about it. A lovely little dark corner of Second Life opened back up again and brought with it the Eclipse... The magic of the Eclipse is perfect for casting a few spells and bringing forth things that are more than a little special... 
The little witch in me went out into the woods and cast a spell, luring out the Dire Wolves... 

When darkness begins to fall it is the best time to call on the Dire Wolves... They come crawling from the deepest darkest recesses of the woods thanks to the spells contained within her Wolf Summoner Book - an Eclipse HILTED release - and a little wave of her Crystal Want - an Eclipse Astara release - ready to do her bidding...

Furbabies Never Really Leave!

I've seen so many posts on facebook about people losing their people and furbabies recently and maybe due to this, or maybe it´s due to other things, but I keep having this feeling of coming sadness. Like someone I love and call family is going to disappear or worse! I hope that I´m just being over sensitive and empathetic to the people I see sharing their pain, but it has me on edge! 
Today´s picture is a representation of that sadness, even though the location is somewhere totally awesome I just felt like it spoke volumes of my mood right now!

I have been in a bit of a downer kinda mood for the past few days, I'm trying to blame it on having a cold but I guess there may be more to it than that... So as I was exploring the awesome setting that is Trick or Treat Lane - it's great both as a pretty sim and a shopping event by the way - I stopped in the Cemetery to say hello to old friends. 
I was overcome with a few emotions, but I clearly remember feeling like I was being followed. While I was there I found myself thinking about my old cat, that lived with Mum in RL, and I really had the distinct feeling that I could hear her miaow whispering in the wind as I left the cemetery. 
I'd only gone to TOTL to find a fab place to pose in my new TOTL based outfit! An adorable collection from JACKALOPE, a collection involving the Tabitha Sweatshirts, Fringe Shorts and the awesome Bat Tights! 
Please excuse me now though, I may be back later but I think I need to give my living furbabies a cuddle!

Picking Pumpkins

I went to the store today in RL, and was doing some of my usual grocery shopping... Buying the usual things for the weekend and making sure I had enough cat and dog food too, but then I noticed they have now got pumpkins available for sale so naturally I had to check those out too... 
Yet they were a massive disappointment... TINY and not really made for carving!!! I'm going to have to fulfill my crazing for pumpkins in SL this year!

I went for a coffee in the lovely gardens of All Hallows at Moochie, and stumbled upon their pumpkin patch... Selecting myself this adorable pumpkin - which is in fact by Zombie Suicide at Trick or Treat Lane by the way - I wanted something a little different and this studded one was just pretty with it's purple shimmer it needed to be part of my collection...

A Necrosis from the Phials of Demons

Shhhh it's here... There is magic in the air, and it's a dark magic... The kind of magic that makes your skin tingle with anticipation... It's a Necrosis, a stage of dying, and it's seeping into the Whispering Pines... The little demoness they call Guen - along with her wicked cohort Asbjörn - have called upon forces of the darkness, and their little demonic friends are coming out to play bring chaos and some rather cute goodies with them... 
One of the little demons got into the Voodoo hut in the swamp... There was all-manner of pretty jars filled with the wild and wicked, but it was the Phials of Demons that she was seeking, sprinkling their magic to welcome in more of their dark, macabre and depraved seekers of delight to the land of the Necrosis... 

For those of you that haven't heard, my tale is more than just a fairy story... Necrosis has really come to Whispering Pines. It's less of a demonic uprising though, and more of a dark little shopping event, filled with some lovely treasures for those of us that like the dark and macabre! 
It may be just a small event, it's early days and who knows what it's future will be, but there are some amazing hidden gems from designers like Zombie Suicide, PsychoBarbie, Solstice, and Witch Craft - as well as others... Just an example of some of the goodies can be seen in this demonic voodoo store take over... 
It started with the coloration of the eyes to the Necrotic Pink FATHER eyes, and as they changed this strange mark of the Astara Goddess appeared on my forehead. I think it should be blamed on the magic leaking from the Phial of Demons that is releasing the Inner Demons! 
Honestly, I'm very excited about this event, both for my dear friend Guennie and for the fact it's time for a little more darkness... Either way I see good things coming, and I cannot wait!!!

Pretty Pink Flowers

Today is one of those gorgeous Spring days! I will always be an Autumn girl but I have to admit that Spring comes a very close second. All the life starting to appear, the flowers in bloom and the sounds of some very happy birds in the garden makes me feel like a very happy girl inside. I'm not really a fan of sunshine - when it get's too hot I get cranky lol - but Spring sunshine is warming and gentle and it feels nice on the skin after a long Winter of grey. 
This month, until April 5th, we're celebrating the coming of the Spring with a special event dedicated to Ostara's Altar... Bring on the flowers, bring on the magic, bring on the new beginnings and the start of something beautiful!  

The Ostara's Altar event is still up and running, bringing together some brilliant designers with a cacophony of colour, magic and femininity that welcomes the Spring season. I've been in love with so many pretty things, that the inner girlie girl has been screaming to come out... 
Today I want to share with you some of the pretties!! Some of the pretties for accessorizing a Springtime goddess look! 
Let's start with the biggest and most obvious item and work our way from there... The Amarillis Headpiece is one of two things in this picture by the store Zibska - the second being the awesome Aviva Eyemakeup which is a hunt prize for the event. Now pink is normally not my colour, but in this case I couldn't resist getting my pink on, especially when it combined with the vibrant blue of the eyeshadow. These colours were reflected well in the somewhat hidden but still available to see Moon Child Horns from Cubic Cherry - who also made the Nemi Eyes, which are the stores hunt prize! I let the colour flow through just a little more in the gorgeous Astara "Beauty Within" Collar and then spiced up the background with a little more pink in the form of Spyralle's Primrose Votive Petites. 
For now, that's enough pink! Anymore and my friends will be checking my pulse to make sure I'm OK, but when Ostara calls for pink, Ostara calls for pink!
