What Can I Getcha?

I should stop taking the time to work on blog pictures when I am hungry, at least that's what I try and tell myself but I'm not sure how well that will ever work. I tend to start working on something bloggish before I've even had my breakfast in the morning and then I get distracted, PLUS I love collecting food in SL. I guess it's one of my guilty pleasure collections, and I own up to my collecting addiction... If I ever get bored in SL, maybe I should open a diner... 

You'd be welcomed in with a smile and a "Welcome to Rudhie's Retro Yums Diner"... The menu would be filled with some super delicious delights. I am partial to a burger, whether that is a Chicken Burger - like the one from Junk Food which is central in the picture - or a Hamburger - on the right from Lucas Lameth, the 1950s Diner Burger - or even perhaps a hugely stacked Club Sandwich - also from Lucas Lameth - with a side of fries or chips, crisps if you are like me and a little bit British... I'd serve cold sodas and thick shakes, hot coffee and fancy teas in tea pots... I might even serve cake, it's have to be cake because I'm a cake rather than pie kinda girl...

Time for a Sunday Sundae!

It's Sunday, a very lazy Sunday because it's a very HOT Sunday... I've seen people laughing about how people in England complain about the heat, well I'd like to point out that since our homes don't tend to be built to let warmth out but keep it in instead. I admit I HATE hot weather and am looking forward to when it starts to cool down again, but until then and since it's lazy hot Sunday, I think it's time we tried to cool off with a Sundae?!!

I have to be quick with this post since I dont want most of the Ice Cream to melt, the only melted Ice Cream should be that which is used in the making of some fancy Retro Milkshakes - like the ones in the set with the machine from BROKEN ARROWS - whilst the rest of the Ice Cream is used to make some Classic Banana Splits - like the one from Hangry. We have So many delicious toppings, with fruit and chocolate, syrup and whipped cream... 
Seems like our puppy friend couldn't wait though LOL...

The Broil is ALIVE!

I've had a pretty shit day today with appointments for the eye doctors and the hygiënist, so I feel like my eyes are sore and I've been punched in the teeth. 
I'm hungry and feel like I need some food, but my face hurts... What do I want to eat? What would make me happy? What do I fancy for my dinner?

There are so many different foods out there... Every culture has their own cuisine, and some have different versions of their own cuisines from other countries. It's common knowledge that a Chicken Tikka Masala is the new national dish of England, and we think of it as an Indian Curry, when it is in fact an Englishized version and definitely not the sort of thing you'd get yourself in India...
I love to explore different sorts of food, and have recently become totally obsessed with Sushi... There is one type of food that I want to get myself a dinner of. I would LOVE to try Seafood Broil - like the one made by dust bunny - as they always look SO delicious when you see the videos online. 
Unfortunately today when I got myself a delicious portion of Seafood Broil, it seemed like some of the crab was not properly cooked... There's a few of those Crabby McStabby - cute little crabs from Aardvark - wild crabs on the warpath as I had broiled their cousins... I was so startled and moved so fast my soda got spilled and now I need to find something else for dinner...

Ice-Creams at the Monster Diner

I work in a job that's ALL about serving the public, I am in retail and even though its a sales job I am also an etnertainer and historian and tourist information... I guide people through Amsterdam, I tell stories about cheese and I spend a lot of time trying to tell people about laws regarding cheese transport... I get home and relax but as I'm snozzing on the sofa, the idea of me serving people, and the fact that I'm watching the live-action version of Monster High, became a trip to the Monster diner... 

The Monster Diner - which is actually a backdrop from Synnergy.Tavis - is a great place to head for dinner, the burgers are HUGE and really delicious but it's the Ice-cream in this place that can be considered magical... 
They have an amazingly Sweet Stop Milkshake Machine - a creation from MadPea, available at ACCESS until August 8th - that has magical abilities in the Monster Diner, that not only creates amazing milkshakes but if you press the right buttons you get the most magical Ice Cream Treats - from Tardfish - that come to life and wriggle like the cutest of Octopi...

The Eve before Star Wars

Tomorrow is considered a special day for some, it's one of those recently made up holidays but in our house it is fairly important... Tomorrow is May the Fourth, or to give it's full title "May the Fourth be with you"... It's Star Wars Day. There is another important day here too as it's Dodenherdenking, or Remembrance Day, which of course came first, and it's not something that we forget... But it's Star Wars Day, Hell is the biggest Star Wars fan and we couldn't pass it by... 

Since it's been a long hard few days, things have been crazy busy, it's time to head to the break room on the Death Star, which you have to get to by passing through the Cryo Chamber - a backdrop from Synnergy.Tavis - and party like the Dark Side is going out of fashion... I've often wondered what it would have been like if Leia had been kept with her father and taken to the Dark Side, I think she'd have trouble batteling the light and it would cause her to become a bit of Rebel anyway... Dying her hair, but keeping her amazing buns - like those in the wig from Ayashi - and grabbing herself one of those giant Mucho Margarita's - from Junk Food. It was so hard to choose what to drink though, the Storm Troopers make the most epic cocktails, I think my next drink will be the Chewie Cotton Candy drink... 
It's so hard to choose, but whatever happens, May the fourth be with you tomorrow...

Margaritas on Friday!

It's finally Friday, and this week seems to have been one that's been frought with drama on SL Facebook - the body debate, really seems to have divided the people on SL facebook, its been a debate that's messed with my Anxiety level and so I'm trying to avoid it as much as possible. It's a pointless arguement in which people are bringing body shaming into SL... 
I think it's time for a drink or two, something tht will help me relax a little. I feel tense by all of the drama, I don't come to SL for drama, I'm done with drama... I need something stiff to drink... I'm also not good with straight alcohol, so I'm in the mood to whip up a batch of cocktails... 

I've decided to set myself up a little back yard party, everything is bright and sunny and it seems like the perfect way to relax on a Friday afternoon, even if I'm doing it on my own... I slipped into a bikini, and pulled my hair into a cute high ponytail - a special release called Synthia, by Astralia for Hair Fair 2022 - and set up a cute little bar area, close to my pool. 
I was whipping up a batch of Margaritas and decided that today I needed MUCHO Margaritas, filled with brightly coloured straws and pretty things like umbrellas - luckily Junk Food has created a batch of them for N21 this month. Whilst I was busy making cocktails though I had an accidental spill, some of the margarita mix splashed and ended up in my pool... Then I had the idea... MARGARITA POOL!

Getting involved in his games...

Date Night... There are lots of places that we can go and have some fun, but one of our favourites has to be the Arcade... The music from the machines, the happiness of people playing the games and the smell of the junk food being served. It's a fun place to hang out, a fun place for date night and maybe a fun way to keep him occupied a little bit... 

A delicious dinner for two, something cheap and cheerful... A Pizza, some sodas and OOOOOOH A large plate of Cheesy Steak Nachos, make mine with extra jalapenos please?! 
While we were waiting for our orders to be brought, HellBone got a little fidgety, so I gave him a few pennies and sent him to play the Arcade machines... You know me, I cannot help but get involved as I watched him play. It was a ame full of suspense, I could barelý contain it, as my body language and the fact that I knocked my soda over while watching him play... 
I LOVE this backdrop and pose set... They, along with the Cheesy Steak Nachos, are a collaborative release from the great minds behind Cat-Noodle and La Plume. Wonder if he likes his Fish & Chips?!

Sunday Nights were always about formal family, sit-down dinners... We would all sit around and have a delicious roasted dinner, cooked by either of my parents, and it would be a chance for us all to sit down and have a chat about the week that had passed and the one that was still to come... I miss dinners like this, I seem to be eating on my own a lot these days... 
Today, I'm not eating alone... I went for a trip to visit the Aquarium and ended up making a new friend to invite to dinner... 

We went to have dinner in the aquarium restaurant, the Odyssea - a backdrop from Synnergy available at Hongdae Event until March 20th - where they make the MOST delicious Fish & Chips I've had since I left the UK - not including any time I go back to visit of course hehe. I know it's Junk Food, but it's something that makes the heart feel good, it's a taste of home for me, and it helps me feel less far away from my family... I am not entirely sure my Chubby Shark - from tardfish at The Guild ATLANTIS - friend likes his fish though, I'd have thought he'd enjoy the flavour when it's friend... A little difference in his diet perhaps?! LOL...

Just a small glass...

I'm home after an icky few days of having to work in a shop designed for tourists in a city where there are no tourists... I have been struggling so hard to keep myself awake and away from becoming depressed... Getting home, I had some delicious dinner, and I felt like a glass of wine was necessary evil... 

I went to the wine cellar and decided to help myself to a glass of wine... A LARGE glass of wine... I had one poured and waiting on the bar for me, but then I spotted the bigger of the glasses - that was the one for me - a large wine glass from ChicChica... It takes a LOT of bottles to fill this glass... Wonder if I'll still be able to stand up when I drank it all?!

Oops, I spilt my Soda!

After the epic post I spent all weekend on this weekend, I needed to take some time out today before my brain turned to goo and trickled out of my ear. I've been having one of those very much needed, lazy types of days. I refuse to do anything that seems like work, and that even involves cooking... Today I'm doing NOTHING, and I feel like today might be a fast food takeout kinda day... 

I got so tired that when I was eating fast food at the diner, and I accidentally made a spill I couldn't help but laugh and then somehow ended up crawling onto the table and laying in the carnage in a somewhat Joker-esque kinda move LOL... 
I can't really leave a mess like this though, I guess I should clean up, and while I'm here does anyone want a snack?
