Welcome to the Dark Hotel

The darkness is still lingering and I am not ready to kick it out just yet... I mean there will be lots of pretty Autumnness coming I'm sure, because I NEED to let that out before the mania that is Christmas will start... 
I LOVE the darkness, it's helping me feel better about myself and the situations that I am dealing with at the moment and since everything is getting a little too crazy I might take myself away for a while and check myself into somewhere for a rest... 

The Dark Hotel - a backdrop from Synnergy.Tavis - is the perfect place to rest and decompress after the fun of Halloween... I've checked in and left my bags ready to be collected by the porter, and while waiting I've met some of the most wonderful locals and their pets - which happen to come with the Wini Dress from Mug. I think that they were drawn to me and my amazing Anxiety Master side, either that or my fabulous GothChic Earrings - from Boutique #187, available until November 15th at DUBAI Event - I didnt even notice the fact that I'd started to bleed... I just hope I can get some rest soon...

Welcome to Hell...

I want to go on holiday, I want to be able to forget everything and just relax, but for some reason when I was digging through my inventory trying to put a holiday look I somehow stumbled on something a little bonkers... 
It left me wondering what would a holiday for Beetlejuice look like... 

Rudhlejuice - since Beetlejuice is taken - is living the holiday dreams... She's wearing the amazing black and white stripes - in a Casey Shirt and Shorts outfit from AsteroidBox at Collabor88 - and she's packed everything that she might need and then some, she's even brought her Bat in a Cage  from Tardfish at the Warehouse until June 18th. Then it was just a matter of having a ride on the crazy train, with some of the strangest travellers, until the conductor on the intercom said "Welcome Stop Hell"...

Playing with her Dolls

I've been working again today, it's been SO busy and although I LOVE working for a small business like the family owned cheese shop that I work in but sometimes working for someone else feels so much like you're a puppet in someone else's game plan... I LOVE my job but I'm still working for a muti-millionaire family earning big bucks selling cheese... I'm just one of their littl retail puppets on some dangling strings... 
So today, for my 31 days of Halloween looks, I'm a cute little rag doll, playing with my own dollies in the confines of my sewing room... Something akin to a certain doll named Sally... 

It's a corridor in the Insomnia House - backdrop collection from MINIMAL - Ragdoll Rudh is a doll that loves to play with dolls, only the dolls that she plays with are much more of the voodoo variety... She loves her tiny little Dead Dolls  - from Tardfish at LEVEL - that swing from her finger tips, and her bigger dollies all get murdered in horrible ways... She looks like a little rag doll, her adorable Patchwork markings - from Sweet Thing - and the Strange and Unusual Bow in her hair - from Exile with the hairstyle worn - are all things that are easily mendable on her sewing machine.

Fireworks Night... Make the Sky Light Up!

Remember, Remember the fifth of November... Gun powder, Treason and Plot.. I see no reason why Gun Powder treason, should ever be forgot.. 
It's the 5th of November, and for the UK that means it's Bonfire Night, or more historically correct Guy Fawkes Night. A memorial day in which bonfires are lit, effigys of a Guy Fawkes are set on fire and fireworks light the night sky to remember the plot to blow up the Houses of Parliament... 
I'm not a fan of fireworks in RL, because I hate the loud bangs - yes I'm a wuss - but they are pretty to watch through the window... 

Rudh on the other hand, marched up to the roof of the apartment building - a backdrop from Synnergy a "Nighttime Rooftop" - armed with a box of fireworks and a tub of sparklers for a little Fireworks night fun... 
Sparklers are so pretty but I think that the find for me today was the Fireworks - which actually come from a Particle Typer from ZARK - I wanted fireworks but most were too huge and too far away, these make the PERFECT photo prop!!

Tea and Cake for Goddesses of Sun and Moon

Time to relax after work and do something pretty and soothing as a way to chillax...
So why not throw a tea party, and this is a tea party for some VERY SPECIAL PEOPLE!! 
It's a tea party for the sun and moon goddesses, during their very limited meetings twice each day... 

I'm playing around with Décor items again... It's not something I'm good at but I am trying to learn to be better!!

Lunch Break

Busiest of Busy housewife style days today... Since I lost my job I've been a lot more of the house wife than ever before really, and although some days I find it kinda grates on my nerves, today I'm actually enjoying myself. I've been pottering around doing little chores and taking copious amounts of tea breaks in the garden which is nice and sunny. My pets are enjoy it too... My chickens are pleased to have someone to talk to, while my dog thinks that I've become her own personal ball throwing machine! 
I've done enough laundry today, so much so it feels like I'm opening my own launderette! It's all hanging to dry in my little yard, making it feel like I could get lost in the rows of laundry! So now I think it's time for a little break and perhaps, if I'm good, a little lunch?! 

Not that Rudh minds, I mean her life is just one big shopping, partying and modelling trip, if you can ignore the hard work that she puts in to the MC of course. So maybe she deserves a little lunch too... Something yummy like a Mini Heart Pizza from dust bunny, with a cold glass of fresh Lemonade from the 8f8 Green Grocers. She too has been doing some laundry, only difference between her and I is that she looks glam while she does it.

A Day for Warm Boots

It's VERY cold again here in Holland, apparently it will be slowly beginning to warm up again but it is going to be a slow process so that means thick scarves, hats, gloves and boots. I love the cold I really do, not so keen on the slippery icy pathways but I love being able to wrap up snug and get out into the cold.
I had a little problem this morning when I went to put my warm snuggly boots on...

My boots have been taken over by little kittens... Yes I know that they are warm snuggly boots but this isn't fair. How could anyone disturb these two little cuties?!
The boots are actually a group gift from Jian, to get them all you need to do is wear your group tag and then you can pick up these booties, that come complete with wearable and display versions. I'm not sure that I will ever wear them, but they look darn cute curled up in my boots with my bag beside my coat rack and blanket scarf chair...
Now if I could only find myself mean enough to get them to move so I can go out?!

I've got that Wanderlust...

In the summer, everyone seems to be going on vacations... Travelling to explore interesting new places or going somewhere they can just kick back and unwind. It's the talk of the RL office that I work in, people constantly chatting about planned holidays and places they recommend from the past.
This year I won't be going anywhere... Least not for a while! Stuck in the position of working two jobs and not being able to afford to take time off of either, still perhaps in a few months I will be able to at least go home for a few days.
Until that time I have to listen to everyone I know talking about their planned adventures... I'm getting that feeling of Wanderlust... Perhaps that is why I've taken up residence in my Caravan more than any of the other houses I call home...

When I was younger I loved to travel. I wanted to see everything. I even jumped on a plane and flew to the other side of the world on my own seeking an adventure... New Zealand has been crossed off my bucket list, and the memories I have of that trip will remain with me always! Yet HellBone is a little less adventurous. I want to see places like China and India, he feels he wants to head to America and has this grand plan that he wants to ride to Sturgis on a Harley Davidson!
Still for now I have to make do with lazing around in my dust bunny Caravan - from the Wanderlust collection - and gaze at the Wanderlust wall hanging - from brocante which is available at No.21 until the end of the day today - planning my adventures in my mind.
Luckily because I am not travelling so much, my suitcases and trunks are providing excellent furniture pieces in the caravan... Tables and even chairs can be made from these things, chairs like this awesome mini couch from Lewd - a Trunk Seat that is available at the latest round of Cosmopolitan until July 16th by the way - so very comfortable, perhaps I will let my daydreams become nap dreams?!

Ice Cream makes things better

Yesterday was painful, but glamorous, like something from an early Hollywood movie... Today though, I am done with trying to look awesome... I am going to reach out for every girls best friend at at time like this - and I say every girl but OK that is a generalisation and I apologise for that - Ice Cream!! 

The tears still fall but hey, when this girl gets some ice cream things start to feel better... It works the same with a cup of tea - the proper English kind not the perfumey stuff, has to be a proper black tea with a little milk and some sugar! - but right now not even tea is helping... I had to go for the hard stuff... Ice Cream!
The Ice Cream I have here today, along with the toppings that it seemed kinda like blasphemy to go without, are items from the Banana Split Bar Gacha Collection created by The Hive... The Bucket of Ice Creams is a rare, but I NEEDED it, and so I become like one of those coupon queens with a shelf full of sauces for my ice creams LOL...
The caravan - my third house full of stuff, a Dust Bunny Release I should add - has become my little bolt hole in times when I need somewhere cosy to hide... Full of soft furnishings and that cosy warm feeling, it's definitely the perfect place for me today!!!

Relaxing in my Blogging Room

Gosh this weekend was a hectic one... Aside from all of the RL stuff that went on, I had so much going on in SL that I barely had time to stop and think, let alone shop! It's shocking I know, but it's true... I mean OK I did some, but not as much as I should LOL... I mean I had to buy a costume for the opening party of the Gator Maze - I will talk about that more later though - but after all that craziness was over, Sunday was a chance for me to kick back and enjoy working in my NEW HOUSE!!!
I am now Rudh of two houses - the UBER CUTE play house, which I may have to feature properly in a post sometime, and the new more grown up but still whimsical tree house! I figured I'd give you a tour - gives me a reason to get it finished...

The first place I am going to show you seems to be a place that I may end up a LOT...
The house that I call my new house is in fact the Dust Bunny Auburn Tree House, which was available in the September round of The Arcade, and comes in two separate but linkable parts. I fell in love with this house as soon as I saw it, but was afraid I'd never be able to call it mine due to the rareness - and therefore high price of it at gacha yardsales! The smaller of the two tree houses is the one that I want to share with you right now... This has become my "Blogger Office", a place I can escape to so that I have peace and quiet to focus on writing here, and ensuring that my pictures are the same level of bonkers they have always been... I can snuggle up in my cosy Consignment Lazy Chair, with a cup of tea and while away the hours!!
But while I'm here in my office, and as I said I'd give you a tour let me share with you some close-ups...

Starting from the top left then working clockwise, shall we?
The Desk was something that had to be perfect... I wanted something large and that I could make a mess on, just like my RL desk, and when I spotted this one from Fancy Decor at a gacha yardsale it was love at first sight, this HAD to be my desk. Then I went to town with throwing things all over it, this will always be a work in progress however, and it may not stay like this for long... The scrap books from Aphrodisiac are one of my favourite items - you can add your own pictures to make it feel very personal, which didn't take me long, I knew just who had to be in it - then I added a Tarte Typewriter, a tres blah Catch All,  an 8f8 Secret Diary, posetcards from Dust Bunny, some hole punches from Second Spaces, an address book from Commoner, and a vintage camera that's also from tres blah... All the accoutrements of a good blogger hehe... With a hint of decoration in the form of the Oolong Teacup Planter from ARIA and the Zaara Block Prints...
The second picture - moving clockwise - is going to be a little easier to talk about as there is a lot less stuff in this one lol... The Inspiration Board is one from the tres blah Workspace collection that I spent hours editing to provide me the inspiration that I would need while working. I then decorated a little with an Apple Fall Dress Form and some Garbaggio Shoe Clutter!  
OOOOH onto a picture with one of my favourite items in the room as we move clockwise... This tres blah Tea Time set, with it's pretty tea tin of flowers and CRUMPETS!!! Love crumpets! The daffodils in the vase are also something special too - you can get these at Apple Fall - but I chose them because they remind me of my RL mum! These things are sitting on a table that Lilian found for me from Apt B, its a Country Living Metal Table that's probably not meant for an office but hey I LOVE it and it fits with my desk huh?!
Lastly, something I couldn't resist hanging up was this Chalkboard Checklist from Plethora. Wouldn't it be great if we had checklists like this for everything? I really could use something like that to help my brain Lol...
Wow, there is a lot of information there LOL... All those little details make a girl crazy, but for me it's the details that make the house feel special. I know a million people in SL have all the same goodies, but sometimes it's the way we put them together that brings out signs of our personalities right? I really enjoyed showing the room off like this, I'll have to do it with the rest of my living spaces hehe... Watch this space!
