A Raven Princess on a Ghostly Path

I dont wanna keep going on about how crap life is at the moment but it's a general feeling and I'm sorry that I feel that way... I am trying hard so many times to let myself get swept up in a fantasy, but there are things that always keep dragging me back down... 
I felt like I needed a chance to escape again and I want to be anywhere else, so I let myself slip off into the late evening and become a Raven Queen... 

This evening, as the sun is setting, our salvage princess has decided to take a walk along the Ghostly Path - a backdrop from K&S - but she's not alone. A Corvus Princess from the Salvage Station cannot be allowed to walk alone, she's had to take her avian friends with her... Hiding from the light under her Pipe Parasol, and even though it's ripped, it's still great for keeping the last light of the day away from her pale skin...

Solar Relics and Forbidden Rituals

Some day soon I'll be able to relax but today at work was horrible, I think that I need a miracle... I don't want to be at work, I don't want to be living at this farm right now, and I want to be about a million miles away from here.. Is that weird? Probably but I want to let myself get lost... I'm going to find a little monsterous magic... 

In the forgotten temple, there are monsters that thrive amongst the salvaged remains... This monster is disturbing to look at... Neon Planting at the Salvage Station!

I had the day off again today, and I won't for a few days in a row now so I've been busy doing a little blogging prep and I'm excited about what has been happening in the blogging world of Rudh today... It's been nice to just turn offmy brain and do something creative, considering the week I have coming LOL...

A Rest before the Salvage Station!

June 1st today, and there are lots of things going on in our little corner of the world that Second Life looks like a really fun and wonderful place to be... Pride at Home and the fun events surrounding Pride started today, leading in the events for the month... One of those events is totally different from the rainbows and sparkles of Pride, is the opening of Salvage Station... 
It's Electrifying... 

The Atomotel - a building kit from LORE for Second Life Syndicate's Salvage Station, opening today until June 30th - is like a neon mirage in the middle of the Grand Canyon desert... This perfect, little neon hotel is run by a little miss Frankie, who will welcome you to her hotel as you make your trip to the Salvage Station, so long as there is no funny business and she doesn't have to introduce you to her Stun Nail Bat - from Arts&Gear, also at Salvage Station - which will be more of a shock when she hits you with it than any normal bat...

Rituals for Salvage and Enchantment

Today has been a day off for me, and you can tell that it's been a day off because I've had a chance to get very creative and make something magical when it comes to blogging... Don't get me wrong I LOVE all of the things that I share here but there are some days when I feel like the magic is just that little more magical... 
It's getting magically cold, some might say somewhat Frostbitten and more than a little salvaged... Magically cold and collected from salvaged things... 

A Frozen Ritualist - which is actually the name of the tattoo from AURO, that you can get your hands on at the Frostbitten Enchantment Graveyard - was performing a Ritual - in a backdrop from FOXCITY - involving a mirror and a very large Tsarknife - from FOE, available now at Salvage Station - but ended up getting herself Possessed... Boken glass from the mirror went everywhere, including being embedded into her chest... Luckily she's magical and can withstand the pain...

Jewels From Junk!

It has been a long week already and today should have been my day off, and I ended up at work. Luckilly I have a day off on Wednesday so I get two weekends this week kinda sorta... 
I have so much to do in the house, I've been a little lax and needing some time to catch up... I do also want to let my mind wander off to things that aren't helping me feel better. My mum is on my mind, she's in hospital and I'm worried without being able to see her face to face... Hence why today I'm thinking about making something to make her smile... 

My mum is a jeweller, she has been one for about 50 years, and what started as a Saturday job at a local family jewellery store saw her getting a degree in gemology with a specialisation in diamonds... She's BRILLIANT at just looking at a gemstone and saying if it's real or not... 
I was rooting around in the house and randomly decided to become a bit of a Junk Jeweler - thanks to a set released by random.Matter at Salvage Station, that runs until November 30th - so I've pulled some of my junk out to make the things, I've lit a few Vintage Oil Candles - which are a gorgeous release from Candle & Cauldron at Enchanment by the way - and grabbed a box of Skeleton Grahams - from Junk Food - that I had left over from Halloween and along with my BitterSync - from AxisMundi - Robot buddies, I am going to learn how to make something gorgeous out of trash...

Remembering Them...

Today is November 11th, and for a lot of places in the world are celebrating the veterans today... I know that for the UK, Remembrance Sunday was the last weekend, but I always find a few moments today to pause daily life and remember those that lost their lives to protect our freedom... Being a Brit, the way that the people fought for England's freedom during WWI and WWII and the stories that they had to tell has always awed me of their resiliance, their tenacity and their voraciousness to protect their home... I had to take a moment to honour them... 

At the old Defense Camp - a backdrop from The Bearded Guy - where the poppies grow between the old Spitfires and bombs, Rudh got all dressed up and ready to remember them... After doing a little digging at the Salvage Station, she found the perfect outfit - from Eudora3D at Salvage Station - and even found a helmet that makes her look like a Femm of War - the helmet comes from Apika, also at Salvage Station - and she may be a little rusty wearing her Salvaged Armor - which happens to be the tattoo from Nefekalum - but once she is wound up, the key that has her power will enable the salute to those that have fallen...

Atomic Estates Salvage Station

I'm hiding away in my brain, nothing real is allowed and I WANT so bad to get lost in a fantasy right now... My mother is sick in the hospital, and although as yet it's nothing too bad, right now she's yellow...We are trying to make light of it, joking that she was a Simpson for Halloween but it's nerve-wracking... My brain has even been making up scenarios like she's living in the post-apocalypse and had to take a bath in special water which makes the skink go yellow... I guess it's all the fault of the fact that I've stopped at the Salvage Station...

The Salvage Station I'm visiting today happens to be located in the Barassi Desert - which happens to be a backdrop from The Bearded Guy - I've been told to take precautions from the air at the Atomic Estates - items from LORE, available until November 30th at Salvage Station - any time you leave the accomdations... 
I've made sure I have a mask and goggles, I'm wrapped up like an Outlander in a Cowl and Coat - from SOMNIUM - and my Deteriorate Pants - from AsteroidBox, also at the Second Life Syndicate's Salvage Station - are great for keeping my legs warm and for keeping my false leg attached...

Lunchmeat Comes In Rainbow Colours

Honestly in the past few days things have been mental, I've finally gotten myself into some of the Black Friday sales and can honestly say that Dust Bunny has cleared out my SL coin purse... Yet that's not a reason to stop myself from digging into my huge hoard to find something pretty to play with. As I sat digging through all of my new purchases and and eating a sandwich, until I stumbled upon some new Lunchmeat... 

Did you know that Lunchmeat now comes in rainbow neon colours? 
In the creepy, dark places within Phaetons Passageway - in a dark part of Normandy - there is a hidden space, a dark little table - which is actually a Violetility 'Dark Academia Bar' table, available at The Warehouse Sale - upon which a tank that could only be used for some weird science experiments sits... Surrounded by barrels of toxic waste... 
The Neon Demons are using this toxic waste to create some of the most delicious cocktails in the War Bar... They dress the demons that work in the bar in Lunchmeat... No, no not the smushed up 'pork' in a can, I'm talkin about the brand new collaboration from the brilliant minds behind Normandy and the Beauty of Darkness... They are the people responsible for the amazing Hydrogen Suit and the matching boots - available until December 10th at The Grid...

The World is heading for Apocalypse...

Maybe you've seen it in the news, or maybe you haven't, but there has been a lot of dramatic things happening in my neck of the world. The world seems to be going through some bad times, even without the ever present Covid in the background, yet here in the Netherlands we seem to be tipping into something that left uchecked could become a civil war... There have been riots in the major cities, protests against Covid rules that has turned to violence and frankly, things are getting a little scary... 

Who knows what the future will hold, but at the moment it feels ore than a little dodgy in the land I call home... It almost feels a little like civil war could be on the way, as people don't seem to be willing to follow the rules set in place by the Government. I understand that people are tired of these things, I know that I hate not being able to get home to family, but surely if we all take these things seriously then there is more chance that the virus will be eradicated... 
Let's hope it doesn't get to the bombs being dropped, but for now I'm going to hide at home as much as I can and just play with my amazing clothes in a safer place like SL... Never did I think I'd find SL to be the safe place... 
Wearing a Face Mask - one of the main things that it has been a key complaint of rioters - Rudh wanted to see what the post-Apocalypse would be like...
