What Can I Getcha?

I should stop taking the time to work on blog pictures when I am hungry, at least that's what I try and tell myself but I'm not sure how well that will ever work. I tend to start working on something bloggish before I've even had my breakfast in the morning and then I get distracted, PLUS I love collecting food in SL. I guess it's one of my guilty pleasure collections, and I own up to my collecting addiction... If I ever get bored in SL, maybe I should open a diner... 

You'd be welcomed in with a smile and a "Welcome to Rudhie's Retro Yums Diner"... The menu would be filled with some super delicious delights. I am partial to a burger, whether that is a Chicken Burger - like the one from Junk Food which is central in the picture - or a Hamburger - on the right from Lucas Lameth, the 1950s Diner Burger - or even perhaps a hugely stacked Club Sandwich - also from Lucas Lameth - with a side of fries or chips, crisps if you are like me and a little bit British... I'd serve cold sodas and thick shakes, hot coffee and fancy teas in tea pots... I might even serve cake, it's have to be cake because I'm a cake rather than pie kinda girl...

Time for a Sunday Sundae!

It's Sunday, a very lazy Sunday because it's a very HOT Sunday... I've seen people laughing about how people in England complain about the heat, well I'd like to point out that since our homes don't tend to be built to let warmth out but keep it in instead. I admit I HATE hot weather and am looking forward to when it starts to cool down again, but until then and since it's lazy hot Sunday, I think it's time we tried to cool off with a Sundae?!!

I have to be quick with this post since I dont want most of the Ice Cream to melt, the only melted Ice Cream should be that which is used in the making of some fancy Retro Milkshakes - like the ones in the set with the machine from BROKEN ARROWS - whilst the rest of the Ice Cream is used to make some Classic Banana Splits - like the one from Hangry. We have So many delicious toppings, with fruit and chocolate, syrup and whipped cream... 
Seems like our puppy friend couldn't wait though LOL...

Sundaes aren't JUST for Sundays!

I know that this weekend is all about chocolate and lots of eggs, but sometimes there is a need for something with a little more substance... Not much substance, I mean it is chocolate weekend but MUCH more than just chocolate perhaps... Another of life's most important food sources... ICE CREAM! I'll be nic and share my favourite recipe with you, it combines all five of the most important food groups...

Take one of the five most important food group items, dairy, 6 HUGE balls of ice cream in varying flavours should be enough. I like to vary the flavours, two in vanilla - it's the only way tha vanilla should be a thing hehe - two in strawberry and two in chocolate - ice creams made by Junk Food. Once they are in a bowl, liberally douse them in some sticky, drippy syrup, add some MORE dairy in the form of a HUGE dollop of whipped cream, then add some chopped nuts, cherries and a couple of bananas for that fruity goodness and as the final of the important five food items sprinkle with Sprinkles!!

Anyone Fancy A Banana Split?

As it's a Saturday and I've been so busy lately, I feel like it's time for a little treat... Something deviously naughty that normally I'd run a mile from, but can justifiably allow myself today. I'm nothing thinking of anything elaborate or expensive, but something that will definitely make me smile... ICE CREAM will do that, like the banana splits that my dad used to make when I was a kid... 

Rudh wanted banana splits too, admittedly she did it in a different way than I would when I was younger but more is the question now of, can you look her in the eye while she eats her banana?! It's one of those challenges that I love to play with male friends even in RL, and as soon as I saw the bananas from Junk Food I knew I would be playing with them in SL too! 
It came together so perfectly with the awesome new Sherry Lingerie - that could also make the perfect bikini really - from MuggleBorn. I chose the Banana print to match my new toy - which is a pattern available in the fatpack - and then set about making some delicious banana splits!

How do you want your Ice Cream?

It's Wednesday! A day that some people affectionately - or maybe not so affectionately I'm never sure - call " Hump Day"! It's a slippery slope down hill from today to a weekend of fun fun fun! 
Weekends are such lovely times, and they always make me think of happy things. It gives me good endorphins, a lot like other happy things... One of my favourite happy things is actually Ice cream though... I LOVEEEEEEE Ice Cream, especially the kind that you can make into sundaes! 

Rudh likes making Sundaes too... Only she's both a bit naughty and a bit clumsy lol - although I'm not sure she didn't do it on purpose today LOL... It was just too easy for her to " accidentally"  get whipped cream on either nipple and garnish them with cherries LOL. 
The entire reason for her deciding to make ice cream sundaes was the adorable katat0nik Cream Pasties, released for the anniversary round of The Project Se7en this month. It was the perfect excuse for her to pull out - from the mini fridge in her massive warehouse of an inventory - some of the hive's whipped cream, toppings and syrup that she usually reserves for the Banana Split Bar, to add to her FroYo - from Fancy Decor!
So before I scoff all of this ice cream... Anyone else want some?

They Dance The Movement

I don't very often get a chance to blog pictures of other people, and spend far too much time looking at my own face while I'm posing. I also tend to have a bit of an issue sometimes when I am being sent couple poses... HellBone hates standing still for very long and so finding someone to pose with me can be a little difficult at times LOL. 
Yet a few days ago while standing around doing nothing with my good friends Lilian and Chopper, and she was showing off the new dress that she had on, I hit upon an idea... POSING TIME!

Now, even though they are not a couple, Lil and Chopper were willing to help me out in a very romantic pose. The new pose by Come Soon is called The Movement, and it's a brief pause in a somewhat sensual dance. This pose is a Limited Edition, available at the latest but soon to end round of Cosmopolitan, so if you want it you need to get over there soon!
I love the way that this picture worked out, and I really enjoyed having models to play with... There will be more coming like this, if I can find the models LOL...

City Girl Farmer

Autumn is my favourite season, and I find myself getting so wrapped up in the Halloween spirit as it really makes my Living Dead Doll feel happy... Yet I mustn't forget all those other things that I love about Autumn. This time of year is awesome! The colours, the fact that you can snuggle up warm and cosy, and the chill in the air all make me feel like a very happy Rudh!
Secondlife changes season as easily as RL seems to, and we have slipped into many Fall colours and settings... So many people catch the Autumn Fever and SL becomes a wash with firey colours... There are so many places to explore before the season changes again... One of these locations that is SO worth a visit is the sim that is home to The Hive...

Shopping and a gorgeous Autumnal Sim to explore, it's a great combination to make a girl happy!
I absolutely loved exploring the sim, but I have to say I stuck out like a sore thumb LOL, I had that whole Autumn look for a chic city girl on, and it didn't really fit with the rural vibe... Still least it got a smile out of me!
The majority of this outfit - including the bag - is a Zenith release available at Kustom9 until October 10th. I warn you though, it's a Gacha collection, so approach with caution, but it's a really curte set and I am glad I had a go at winning the bits I wanted! Finishing my City Girl in the Autumn look I pulled on a cute wig complete with the Armelle hair from Truth, and it was then just a case of exploring the farm but watching out for any animal mess!
Gotta love a day at the farm, and this farm is really cute...

Just another of Master's Discarded Dolls

Monday Morning... I had planned to do something light and cheerful yesterday when I was making sure that I had posts available to work on whilst I was supposedly "working", yet nothing ever works out exactly the way you plan it, and today my mood isn't quite what it should be. I don't feel like happy and sparkles this morning, I feel like I'm left-behind, lost and forgotten... Yesterday's news! Thrown into a forgotten room, with all of the other old dollies...

Felt like this yesterday too, and tried to hide it behind a facade of cheery bubbliness, but that didn't work out so well and I ended up crashing... HARD!  It's down to a combination of that feeling of loneliness, of not being good enough, and of pushing myself too hard, add to that things like financial concerns and homesickness, and you have a very horrible combination... I need someone to look after me, Hell tries but he's a little bit clueless and I don't really have the strength to reach out and get him to notice at the moment... Still enough of the rambling, I'm sure you didn't come here to read my woes, you came to see a pretty picture and learn about my craziness that I put into it right?!
The picture today was actually inspired by the amazing mannequins - rather than my mood - and they were a collection that I simply had to have... The Spook Show Mannequins, are a part of the Remarkable Oblivion Epiphany Gacha collection, and each of these gorgeous dolls come with their own name and seeminly their own dead doll personality... They looked perfect in this room - the only one missing is actually taking a bath in the bathroom - but before I could even sit Rudh in amongst them the idea in my head was that she was one of Master's Discarded Dolls - used and shut away, left to fade and go dusty... The room is filled with forgotten and morbid things, like her somewhat scary Nailbed, and the Broken Mirror - thanks Shiny by the way - with a subtle hint to the rooms sordid past still hanging on the wall...
Wow I've written a happy post today... Sorry about that... I guess the only thing left for me to do is try to cheer myself up a little... I know of  a song that totally fits with the nature of this post, it's one by my favourite Viking Cellists with vocals from Christina Scabbia, called S.O.S (Anything but Love)... It fits the photo, and because it is has the Viking Cellists in it, it makes me smile...

Anything that will make me smile today is a good thing, right?!

Ice Cream makes things better

Yesterday was painful, but glamorous, like something from an early Hollywood movie... Today though, I am done with trying to look awesome... I am going to reach out for every girls best friend at at time like this - and I say every girl but OK that is a generalisation and I apologise for that - Ice Cream!! 

The tears still fall but hey, when this girl gets some ice cream things start to feel better... It works the same with a cup of tea - the proper English kind not the perfumey stuff, has to be a proper black tea with a little milk and some sugar! - but right now not even tea is helping... I had to go for the hard stuff... Ice Cream!
The Ice Cream I have here today, along with the toppings that it seemed kinda like blasphemy to go without, are items from the Banana Split Bar Gacha Collection created by The Hive... The Bucket of Ice Creams is a rare, but I NEEDED it, and so I become like one of those coupon queens with a shelf full of sauces for my ice creams LOL...
The caravan - my third house full of stuff, a Dust Bunny Release I should add - has become my little bolt hole in times when I need somewhere cosy to hide... Full of soft furnishings and that cosy warm feeling, it's definitely the perfect place for me today!!!
