The beginning of a new week, and I am already feeling like I am running in robotic mode... I've been working my butt off in RL and in SL over the past week and it's not going to let up this week either as my RL boss is on vacation... Not complaining, thinking of the money, but seriously I am going to need a break after all this... Some time to do nothing but relax and do fun things...
Things like visit the little mermaid's grotto?!
I couldn't resist, there were just too many things drawing me to this point LOL...
The yardsale at DRD has been my biggest reason for this picture today... Not the Yardsale in the conventional Secondlife sense, the minds behind DRD are updating the store and some of their items that will disappear have been set out for cheap before they disappear... The Andolys items are part of this sale and I snatched all those things up pretty fast. This is the Ariels Cove Set.
This location then sparked the need for something mermaidy to wear... I found the perfect outfit at Fi*Friday. The pants and top are made by epoch, and it was the top's slogan that drew me to needing this outfit... I had to have them! Then I had to smoke some seaweed!

One of the biggest shopping events on the SL calendar is coming, and for those people that are addicted to buying Hair, this is one that is definitely worth knowing about... I'm talking of course about Hair Fair 2016, the biggest hair event in SL that raises thousands of dollars every year for an amazing cause, helping to give children with cancer a little less to worry about!
Hair Fair brings together a truck-load of SL's Hair Designers - some well known, others not so - each offering exclusive styles to raise money for the charity "Wigs for Kids" and in the coming weeks I will be talking more about the charity, the event and some of the awesome hairstyles available... Yet for now I want to inspire you, and let you know about the AWESOME prizes you can win if you fancy entering the Hair Fair's "Whatever the Weather" Photography contest!
A little inspiration perhaps from a crazy rambling blogger! I wanted to create something that fitted with the theme of the contest - although I myself won't be entering - I couldn't resist using another pose prop from Exposeur and letting my inner princess out again hehe...
The theme of the contest is "Whatever the Weather", so any contest entry MUST not only focus on hair, but also have a subtle - or not so subtle depending on your ideas - nod towards the weather... My princess was trapped in a tower, that was so high she was up with the clouds and caught by some strong winds, for example!
Now as with any competition, there are a few simple rules! Firstly you need to use one of the hairs from the list of participating designers - I cannot list these all here as there are a lot of them, so I advise that you check out the list on the Hair Fair Photography Contest Web Page before you begin snapping - the web page also shows the full list of rules for this contest, but one of the most important is that there is to be NO NUDITY! That's right people, keep your clothes on, this is an event for children after all... If you're that keen to get naked, you can do it later LOL... OH AND REMEMBER, HAIR IS IMPORTANT IN THE PICTURE, make it your focus LOL... It's HAIR FAIR after all!!!
All that said though, you should check out the HUGE list of prizes for this contest... First prize winners get 3 full fatpacks from ALL Prize Sponsors, lots of store credits, a VR Studio and VIP Access to the event for themselves and 5 friends!! That's not all though, there will be prizes for second and third places AND 7 Runners Up - all of which will get early access for at least one friend to shop!!!
HOW CAN YOU NOT WANT TO AT LEAST TRY TO ENTER?! Look I'll even show you the list of prizes per rank... I mean it sounds more than a little bit freaking awesome right?!

One of the things that I get most excited about happens to be Unicorns... I LOVE LOVE LOVE them, and in RL I have so many of the cute stuffed toy variety that HellBone is driven mad by them... I was even sent the most adorable little Unicorn friend for Christmas and now he sits smiling at me whilst I work on the PC.
So when I saw that this month's line up for Collabor88 was based on dreams and had LOTS of unicorns to play with, I couldn't wait to see what was on offer... In the end it wasn't such a good idea, I spent a small fortune - though in this case you could say it was more like a fifthtune - but EEEEEH UNICORNS, what did you expect?!

This outfit was definitely more a Look-of-the-Week type deal, I would change, play with my clothes for hours to create the looks that I wanted to post, but I was always coming back to this outfit, I had to show you... I lived in this lol...
Let's talk about it then... Starting with the non-Collabor88 item!
I cannot begin to tell you just how much I love these fluffy monster boots - called Yeti Boots from ImmateriA - I have them in a few different colours, I have blogged them before when they were first released for the Horrorfestive, but here they are again in the adorable Cotton Candy colour, which by the way was PERFECT with the hair that I chose to wear. Who cares that Unicorns don't have clawed toes LOL... I certainly don't and if you don't like it, go find another unicorn LOL...
The hair that these boots went perfectly with was in fact one of the Collabor88 releases. The hair is called Windsong, from the store Exile, I've worn this before too in various posts, but I just love the curly,windblown look to it, and the sparkles are just gorgeous! I teamed that with another gorgeous unicorn set from Half-Deer. The set I chose, in a prismatic colour, is awesome... It comes in a variety of colour combinations, and each set includes a pair of ears and a horn, as well as a tail that has the option for both sparkling and farting rainbows! FARTING RAINBOWS! Anyone who knows the family that I am part of knows just how much they all fart rainbows LOL... I fitted right in with this tail! The top I chose from Collabor88, comes from the store Nylon Outfitters, and bears the slogan "I was born a Unicorn", maybe this was try of me in a past life, maybe that's why the colourful crazy side refuses to shut up sometimes?! Or maybe it's the fact that whispering in my ear I have a more than cute Winged Baby Unicorn whispering in my ear... I blame MishMish for the baby unicorn, I mean I would try, but we all know that it's my fault for being Unicorn crazed hehe...
That ladies and gents, is my look of the week... SO MUCH SPARKLE AND SO MUCH CUTE arghhhh... Lol I now need to find something else to wear however, this look is starting to smell LOL...

A while ago now I was sad to see one of my favourite pose designers having to stop working... I don't know why, her reasons are her own, but it made me sad... The poses that came out of her mind, and therefore through the doors of Captivity Co Poses, were brilliant... Not only did they always make some fabbity fab prop poses, the modelling packs were of my usual Go-To collection!
I AM SUPER EXCITED TO SAY THAT NOW MISS AMANDA "PINKIE" RANDALL IS BACK!
She's opened a new store - together with a companion - and it's just like walking through a dream to see one of my favourite pose makers back in action once again...
So to make the momentous occasion, I wanted a picture that felt like I was walking through a dream... I think the results I wanted were what I got...
The pose - seeing as it is the entire reason for the post - is one of Pinkie's new poses. Her new store is called Signature Pose, and you should expect to see a LOT of them on the blog in the coming months. So far the store is small, offering up collections - though the poses can be purchased separately too - of static poses, and I have been promised that poses with props may soon be on their way! I can't wait to see where the store goes, and Pinkie it's AWESOME to have you back!
The outfit was just what I happened to be wearing at the time hehe... My current favourite new up-do from Magika, my current favourite new boots from Reign, an old but favourite tutu skirt, but I added a brand new - to me anyway - Heart Tank Top from Mute., and a Lost Junction Toulouse Collar! Mute. by the way is having a closing sale... EVERYTHING in store, including clothing with appliers and shoes for SLINK feet is on sale for just 10L!
Whilst I was walking through the dream however, I noticed some very strange wildlife - just shows how weird my head is doesn't it? LOL. Butterflies were everywhere... Though there was something that wasn't quite right about them... The Butterfleyes are from Half-Deer, that fantasy world of adorably cute and kinda quirky... Still they inhabit my dreams and I guess that makes me just a little more kookie too hehe...

There is a new gacha phenomenon in town that seems to be taking many SL'ers by storm... The Arcade is one of the biggest and best known shopping events that SL has to offer these days, but I think that this could be bigger, better and a little more entertaining?!
I am talking about TAG Gacha... If you love the Arcade, you will no doubt love this equally as much, and with the addition of a trail to follow, each area with a different section of a storyline and some fab prizes then I am sure you may love this even more... I know I did!
It's well planned, well executed and filled with some cute stores that will appeal to all different tastes. PLUS, if the chance of regular games of chance in the gachas wasn't enough for you, then the addition of the Mystery Tickets in which you can win super rare prizes makes it all the more exciting! I REALLY HOPE that this event comes back more, because it was fun to waste some time doing!!! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT!
I really enjoyed hopping around to different stores and finding some hidden gems during this event... I also, as is always with Gacha Machines, spent far too much money hehe... Some of the prizes I won seem perfect in combination, very spidery, which was lucky as maybe blending in will help me avoid the spiders in the maze?!
The Venomous Hair - who'd have ever thought that I would choose to wear blonde and pink hair? - is an Olive creation. I've not really paid much attention to the Olive hairs, but I think I am going to have to shop there and try some demos at least now! The Gemma Skin, complete with it's wounded mouth, from [theSkinnery], and the Clemmm Scope Eyes worked perfectly together to create a somewhat broken dolly effect, and the addition of the adorable little Half Deer Heart Hugger Bat made the whole outfit a lot cuter. Well as cute as a mummy spider can get as she glances back at her large Hanging Spider Egg Sac, available now from Botanical. All of these things are TAG Event Items!!! How cool is that?!
One more thing that needs a mention but isn't TAG, is the cute dress I'm wearing. This, although only the top is visible, is a dress released from Strumpettes for the past round of the Witching Hour event. It's an underbust dress with optional layers to cover the nungas, and as a spiderweb design, this one is fairly cute hehe... Just because the Witching Hour is over this month, doesn't mean you can't find it so don't feel like you've missed out, and therefore if you wanted it, please don't kill me hehe!!!
