The beginning of a new week, and I am already feeling like I am running in robotic mode... I've been working my butt off in RL and in SL over the past week and it's not going to let up this week either as my RL boss is on vacation... Not complaining, thinking of the money, but seriously I am going to need a break after all this... Some time to do nothing but relax and do fun things...
Things like visit the little mermaid's grotto?!
I couldn't resist, there were just too many things drawing me to this point LOL...
The yardsale at DRD has been my biggest reason for this picture today... Not the Yardsale in the conventional Secondlife sense, the minds behind DRD are updating the store and some of their items that will disappear have been set out for cheap before they disappear... The Andolys items are part of this sale and I snatched all those things up pretty fast. This is the Ariels Cove Set.
This location then sparked the need for something mermaidy to wear... I found the perfect outfit at Fi*Friday. The pants and top are made by epoch, and it was the top's slogan that drew me to needing this outfit... I had to have them! Then I had to smoke some seaweed!

The next look, although I REALLY tried to make it look horrific seems to look far more teeny bopper princess than voodoo?! *facepalms* I failed LOL Noooooooooooooooooooooo....
Before I start rabbiting on about the outfit that I pulled together I want to share with you this amazing location... It's called Paradise of Fantasy and it is simply gorgeous... There is a medieval themed village as well as lots of natural and fantasy elements, so it would be a great backdrop for a wide range of photos... CHECK IT OUT lol...
Now, on to the Britney Spears of Horror Haute for this month LOL... I cannot believe how much I suddenly thought I looked like a pop princess whilst I was looking at this photo wondering what to write... I certainly didn't think that when I was taking the photo!!
I wore the awesome ImmateriA release for Horror Haute, which looks awesome from the front but even better from the back - hence the back view - and I love that snakey decor to it with those bright colours! I added some non-Horror Haute related items, including these awesome studded tights from Izzie's - which were a bargain price of 70L for 5 different tones at The Dressing Room Fusion - and these awesome heels from HOLLYHOOD - again a bargain price of 55L at a past round of Fi*Friday...
Then there was just ONE MORE THING I needed to make my Snakey Voodoo look complete... A Snake! Luckily *dimma* was there to snatch that challenge up and provide with some awesome poses, complete with pose prop snakes! Now I do have a confession... I hope I don't get into trouble for having done so but as I wanted to use the pose from behind I edited my snake a little... If you look at the ad board for this pose, you will notice that the snake is facing in the other direction... I just realised it looked better from the back... I hope I'm not going to be in any trouble though *hides*...

Not a traditional nursery rhyme by any stretch of the imagination, but it was definitely one of those adorable little songs that my mum used to sing to me, and one that I will no doubt sing to any children I may have in the future - not that I am having any, it's not on my agenda - and since those early days I have always loved flowers... Daisies - and sunflowers - being my favourites, so much so that I had them in my RL wedding bouquet!
So when I bought something at the latest round of Fi*Friday this weekend, I couldn't get the song out of my head... This may help that, then again, it may make it worse... I had to play with flowers... Had to...
The whole reason that this look started life was because of an outfit that I'd grabbed randomly as I flew through this round of Fi*Friday - I mentioned that before - but now I will admit that it wasn't something I'd normally have chosen... It's from a store called Bish Whet, and comes in a variety of different designs, though of course I grabbed the daisies as I headed in the direction of the shoe department!
I then went to town on accessories, as per usual... I wore an old but so pretty necklace from AZE Designs called Forest Treasures - it come's as part of a set but I chose to wear just the necklace on this occasion - then I added a Daisy Choker from [Buzzeri].
Finally to complete the look I chose to wear a hairstyle that was a little different from my normal long flowing locks. I chose a short, choppy one -sided style, that is a brand new release from adoness for The Dark Style Fair 2. I laced a Maiden Daisy Wreath from Shar's through this choppy half-bob and it just seemed to look perfect...
So perfect and serene that whilst I was taking my photographs, I was messaged someone that really put a smile on my face... Not naming names but the conversation went as follows;

A few days ago now I was digging around in my overly large hoard wondering what the heck I was going to wear. It got me thinking back to when I was still fairly new in SL. Back then I would change an outfit EVERYDAY without fail... I would spend hours doing it and then wear it for a few hours before changing it the next day and going through the ritual over and over again... Nowdays I am a little more lazy LOL, I tend to change every few days - it still takes me a while to change however - but it gives me more options as I keep shopping and things pile up ready to be worn hehe...
Sometimes though an outfit that I have waiting to be discovered will surprise even me!
This was one of those times! Still as it was coming together I had a strange idea in my head and once I was done dressing I guess I hit the nail on the head as my little brother Athrun nonchalently asked me "Why do you look like you're going to seduce the boss?!" LOL... I then spent a while searching for the perfect office type location, and will admit that it got a little boring when I couldn't find what I was looking for, so I gave up and went shopping! Checking out random places I've not been to before is always fun, I discovered the Fashiowl Poses store and well the street setting was just too cute not to be a high powered business woman on a well earned shopping break photo LOL...
So yes, I am kinda shocked myself to see Rudh in a suit! It's a look that normally I wouldn't even have thought about but when I saw it on sale at Fi*Friday for the whopping amount of 55L I just didn't want to kick myself later for not grabbing it when I had the chance. These Frankie Suits should now be available at the main HOLLYHOOD store, not sure about the low price though!
I teamed my suit with some simplish but dead sexy heels from Bens Boutique - called Nicky - and then gave the chic look a quirky "Rudhish" twist by adding a Timeless Bag from Zenith, and I liked the look, there was just one problem. I wanted to make it look a little more Rudh-like, a little fiercer perhaps... Thank goodness for [ abrasive ] and dimma! The former made this simple but somewhat kinky looking Loose Belt Choker - that I may need to go get the rest of the colours of hehe - and the latter created the Deep Corners Liner set... PERFECT!
Now all I need is a boss to seduce and I will be a happy girl... Anyone need a secretary? LOL!

2015 is already well under way... It doesn't feel any different from a few days ago - although I am disappointed to remind everyone that 2015 is not as Back to the Future predicted - BUT I have spent the last two days shopping in SL to feed my January Sales addiction without actually hitting any sales LOL...
Surprisingly for me I haven't found myself heading into too many dark and depraved looks, if you can forget the hook picture from before LOL, but it's only day three of a new year, there's plenty of time for that yet!
One of those things that I had to have as soon as I saw it advertised was this sweater from INVADER. Now I will say that this is a totally new store for me, I've never heard of it before, I found it randomly through the past Fi*Friday event, and plan on heading over to hit up their main store very soon... Soon as I have some more cash that is hehe...
Though it wasn't only that that had me kawaii-ish excited... This new hair from Ploom, which you've seen here before, just seemed to fit so well with the look I was drawn towards. Although it was the accessories that really got me excited.
I've had the Seal Pup - from Alchemy - for a while now, they were available as gacha items, and I think this one was a gift from Jimmy. They come in a collection of different animal costumes, but seriously HOW CAN YOU NOT LOVE A DUCKIE?!
The bag however, could get me into a little trouble... I'm SO LATE sharing this that I have a funny feeling that Iokko may spank my butt - although it's not punishment if you enjoy something hehe... The Pack's Trail - based on the Packman Game - are shoulder bags featuring the Packman Ghosts... These Ghost bags are available through the store yumyums - hence why it is Iokko that might spank me - but you can still grab them until January 5th at the Level Up's Retro line-up...

Amidst all of the fancy goings on at Christmas, is it just me or is it a non-stop time of year?! I had to admit something to myself. I LOVE the festivity, the pretty, the amazing warm feeling that Christmas always seems to have no matter where I am... BUT I really do miss the darker, macabre side of things hehe... There is only so much rainbow sparkle to Rudh I can take in one sitting, and I had to have a little injection of something darker...
I guess you could call it a random, non-seasonal look of the day, but I HAD to get out of the cutesy Christmas stuff for just a little while! Hence why I found myself playing around in my wardrobe, searching for something a little darker, a little more sadistic, a little more attention seeking from those with a love of things that are kinky hehe...
One of those kinky - although he pretends to be a sweetheart - people just happened to be my dear friend... We shall not name and shame him here, don't want to get him a rep as the Dom that gimped up for a brat - albeit in a modelling capacity - but even hinting that may get me into trouble later, I'd better behave... Sorry Sir hehe... He suggested the idea, and I knew he would be the perfect one to help me... There was NO WAY I'd ever get my hubby dressing up like this!
The reason for the photos was that as a random "look of the day" I needed some way to shoot myself, when it was suggested that I was styled in a way that needed a gimpy sub, I knew I had the perfect poses in storage waiting to shine... The photo above uses a pose called Adoration, by Image Essentials, where as the close-up coming later uses an old Captivity Co Pose, which unfortunately is no longer available!
Let's have a little chat about the outfit though shall we... It started out due to two purchases from a past round of Fi*Friday - fear not though, items are available now at their origin stores. The Black Leather Top from M.O.D.A.N.M.E.S.H, and the thigh high Bullet Boots from Obscure, were two items that I simply could NOT leave behind... I HAD to grab them as soon as I saw them! Although, never in a million years did I think I'd be pairing them together, along with my teeny Razor Micro Shorts, and a Gas Mask to create some urban, cyber, Goth Domme look!
With the exception of one of my favourite constriction collars - the Scrub Feathered Constriction to be precise - and an eye patch, from DirtyStories, I tried to keep everything else simple. Simple jewellery, simply dressed pet... With all of that control, too much else could possibly have landed me in some very hot water hehe...
To the dear, sweet, little Gimp in the photos... Thank you for posing and being patient with me, I know you went off to make a cuppa while I was playing with your body, but it's great to have someone who is outside the biker circuit and doesn't mind going beyond his comfort zone for my crazy photo taking! High on a mountain top, in the middle of some place so remote that people never walk through, there was once a tiny forgotten kingdom... The modern world had developed all around it, but this tiny enclave in the middle of nowhere remained stuck in a fantasy world. A world where the chivalry of knights was met by the might of dragons, where fairies lived in the trees and, if you stomped hard enough, you could still find a troll living under a bridge! This was the kingdom of Ijslandhoutmensen!
The people of Ijslandhoutmensen had always been a peaceful sort, but a darkness had fallen over the land... It was said the darkness came, aeons before, when a mystical enchantress appeared on the outskirts of the town. To this very day although it is a mere whispered rumour, the people look at the queen on her throne of ice with a look of fear in their eyes, whilst her wooden soldiers stand guard ready to kill for their queen!
OK OK I know once again my mind ran away with me, but it was the posing prop that took it there... I had no idea what to wear with this prop, as you can tell it's not very regal LOL, but maybe that is why the people of Ijslandhoutmensen are concerned?! Just for anyone who is interested by the way, Ijslandhoutmensen translates from Dutch as four seperate things lol, Ijs means Ice, Land is self explanatory I hope LOL, Hout is wood and Mensen means people, so it's basically Icelandwoodpeople LOL...
Back to the pose prop though, as it was the entire reason for this ramble LOL... The prop is called Ice Queen, and it is available now from the Depraved Nation Frost Fair, all you need to do is head for the Image Essentials Booth!
The rest of my outfit was a look of the day LOL, I just loved it so much that I had to wear it in this photo LOL...
The bodysuit and tights form part of an outfit from the now closed Sugar & Cyanide Store, and I added the Savvy Sweatshirt in a Cuddle Slut design, from Joli, to make myself look a little warmer LOL... The shoes are my new favourites... I LOVE these shoes, they were 55L at a past Fi*Friday, and I bought them in all the colours I could hehe... They should still be available at their origin store, HOLLYHOOD, all you need to do is hunt down the Louisa Heels and have SLINK High Feet!
To finish my look I was playing around with the Remarkable Oblivion Home Made Halo, and I suddenly remembered, it was like a flash of lightning, yumyums had made Homemade Wings in the past! I'm not sure if either of these things are still available, but OH MY GOSH how cute are they together! I am NOT anything like an angel though, ask anyone I know they may tell you I am far from an angel! So I stuck to my roots, adding that little touch of the demonic to my homemade angel parts! A Devious Demon Tail - from Iokko Molko of yumums fame - although I doubt this is still available as it was a very old Sugar store release, and a pair of jet black eyes from VerseEye!

Sometimes around this time of year I seem to have one re-occuring thought on my oh-so-random mind... Wouldn't it be awesome if we could hibernate, like a bear would... Either that or fly away to somewhere warmer - not so warm, I don't do well with too hot LOL but just warmer than cold and gray northern Europe lol...
LOL can you tell what time it is, YES Dressing Up Time hehe... I swear that sometimes when I open my closet in SL, I totally get the feeling of how Mr.Benn felt walking into the changing room...
Although it's cold here still today, it feels crisp and fresh, and the sun is shining. So maybe I will soar above the clouds and fly away somewhere different...
So the Birdy look huh? Well, I will admit this is a new look for me..
This look started out with the gorgeous jewel-toned, red M.O.D.A.N.M.E.S.H Catsuit, that I picked up at a recent Fi*Friday line-up. I fell in love with the way it looked so much, that I went back and bought two more in different colours LOL... How can you resist the urge at only 55L each?!
Then I was going through my hoard of accessories trying to find a way to finish the look... I randomly stumbled upon this set of wings and tail from deviousMind called Harpyia. The wings are amazeballs, they are mesh and will move with your arms! To go with that, as a pretty accessory I also found that I had stashed away a Harpyia Ornament Belt - also from deviousMinds - and then remembered one of my favourite pairs of horns from 22769, which would just perfect the look when teamed with the cute pigtails of the Ploom Pickle Hair hehe...
Then I took off in flight, like an Angel of the Apocalypse - thanks to a pose from Purple Poses hehe - and went in search of somewhere warmer... Maybe I'll take the bears idea too and have the warmer place be my bed, so I can hibernate?!

One of the best things for me about SL is that you can dress up, be whatever you want to be and as long as it's not hurting anyone do whatever you want to do... OK granted you will get some people who are more than a little closed minded, expecting things to be a certain way, as they are in RL - the biker community of SL for example - but if you hadn't realised up until now, I LOVE to dress up, and I LOVE to invent characters for myself hehe...
This next outfit was no exception hehe... I put things on and thought "hmmmmmmm what shall I be today hehe"... I ended up going exploring over at the Vampire Resource Centre in Transylvania!
Wandering around there, you'll find lots of pretty and interesting places that could make great photo opportunities. I got lucky, it was a very quiet time of day and all of the vampires were sleeping hehe...
Hidden in a corner is this strange portal... A ruin with a very ominous presence, the people milling about seemed strange, ethereal almost, and yet something was drawing me towards that dark malevolent figure in the archway...
It was possibly due to the fact that the living dead girl me, was wearing a rather risqué outfit... From the front it looks like a very short dress, but from the back, it's a whole different story hehe...
The top I'm wearing as a dress, is a release from ISON - available at Collabor88 for November - and as you can see from the back it is kinda revealing... I spent a long time trying to work out what I wanted to wear under this top, some people I've seen have gone conservative and are wearing pants, but conservative and Rudh don't tend to mix very often, then I remembered my old Duct Tape set from League! Good thing I am already dead though, that stuff looks more than a little painful to pull off later! I finished the look with some extremely tall Lolita Heels from EMPORIUM in a brilliant electric blue colour... Not sure why blue, it's normally a colour I don't tend to touch but for some reason I HAD TO hehe...
So the outfit was striking, the location was striking, I needed something small just to finish the look for the new Princess of the Night...
Hair was going to be an issue... My normal Red hair choices left the look a little flat, I wanted something that would 'pop', so I began digging around in a folder of past hair freebies I have. I randomly discovered this Alice Project hair called Seohyun and knew instantly that the frosted blue worked perfectly with the heels I'd chosen. The sparkle effects that are used in certain Alice Project hairs are gorgeous... I love these styles just for that effect, I LOVE creating fairytale looks and everyone knows a little sparkle is a little magical!
Then I remembered I had a brand new tiara, which would be PERFECT for the Princess of the Night... This month's Genre theme is the Apocalypse, and I have played with a few items that I bought there for that style but the [MUSE]'s Bride of the Apocalypse Tiara seemed less Apocalypse and more fantasy princess to me... When I put it on, it was just what I wanted and so the Princess of the Night was born!

Some people, in SL, I know change their skin like a chameleon, wearing many different ones depending on how they feel - I do very occasionally when blogging something or being dead - but for me, finding a new "everyday wear" skin is important.
I don't mind admitting that I am VERY fussy and will wear the same skin, as my basic skin, for long periods of time! So when I do seek to find a new one, and eventually find one that I am happy in, it is a bit of a big deal for me! It makes me feel like it's a fresh start, a new beginning and some might say a step forward, perhaps?
I guess that's why my photo has somewhat of a pensive nature to it?! What I will tell you is that, a few moments of contemplation whilst taking this photo - hiding from the MC - and giving myself a chance to breathe really do help in the humdrum of a SL day!
My new skin is from Glam Affair. I like the way they look on my body and I love how soft and fresh faced this one looks too... I love the fact too though that a skin can be worn by anyone and look different. I bought this skin from the latest round of Collabor88 and was a little worried that I'd look cloned along with everyone else that tried the skin out... I didn't need to worry too much hehe... I looked different to all of the ladies trying demos!
My second "OH MY GOD" thing in this photo has to be the seat! I LOVE this seat!!! I don't normally get over the top excited about furniture, but this Cocktailbird Nest Chair from {anc} - which you can win yourself at The Fantasy Gacha Carnival by the way - is just gorgeous! Stuffed with some cute poses and really pretty to look at, I am definitely using this in the garden and will be sitting there more often from now on hehe...
The rest of my outfit will be clearer if I show a comparison between my skins though so...

THe long curls and soft beanie of the Bramble hair from Spellbound, have been fairly predominant as a hair choice for me lately, and the shirt is an old favourite from R3volt - not that you can see it under my vest mind you! The EMPORIUM shorts were an "I cannot resist those" kinda item, I bought them at a past round of Fi*Friday for 55L and as well as that, the Obscure Vampire Necklace was snapped up at the same time too hehe...

ImmateriA's owner, Naenia Demina, is on a roll with making some amazingly gorgeously, beautiful, jewellery pieces at the moment. Her recent releases for the Witching Hour are some of my favourite things that she has made to date, and I always rave about how much I love the creativity behind her designs.
For the Witching Hour this time, the necklaces in the gacha machine would have driven me crazy if I had been trying to win them!
This is the Yggdrasil Choker in Gold - which is a rare, but there are a few variations of the necklace... My favourite being a spidery design called Tamsin, which is SO going to be a part of my Halloween look this year! I mean I think, I haven't actually organised it yet?!
The rest of my look was put together purely and simply to show off the pretty that is the necklace!
I found this pretty hood - called A Winter's Night Cowl - that perfectly matched a dress - called M'lady - both of which I had won from the store Junbug from a gacha. The two other items of jewellery that I added to my mystical look were an older but still cute Stellar piercing from Cute Poison and a brand new release from Arise called the Chess Septum Piercing, that you can pick up for 55L at Fi*Fridays!
