L.U.N.A, the Story of Humankind

One of my favourite places to go and explore, a pretty location for taking pictures and generally relaxing is a place called Elysion. This location is a paid entry group, but since I've been gifted with the group access I have really enjoyed going back to visit time and time again. Not only the main location, but the little sometime locations that spring up for a short while are amazing... I know there is one opening today about a certain book I was crazy about, I will be going to visit the location hopefully soon before it closes, but today I want to talk about one of the sometime locations... 
L.U.N.A, the story of Human Kind...

"Humankind is responsible for destroying the planet known only a few decades ago as Earth.  They of course were warned, and chose to ignore. Even after all the signs….the raging fires, floods, earthquakes, and tropical storms so intense they were capable of wiping out  infrastructure for months at a time, and widespread devastation to a multitude of planet life.

The year is 2024--a privately funded team of scientific experts, botanists, and astronauts has been assigned with the task of taking selected specimens from earth in an attempt to colonize the planet known to us only as - L U N A -.

Luna is the last hope for the survival of the human race. We have no idea if this mission will be successful, but what is left of humankind hinges on the success of  the colonization of this new planet."

Taken from their release notes, this location I will admit did scare me a little bit at first. I'm TERRIFIED of Aliens. Yet I HAD to see what it was about... It's so gorgeous, more than a little worth the trip in to visit. It was a gorgeously, serene, and yes eerie all at once. 
Of course, I had to get dressed up, it wasn't just going to be normal looking astronaut either... It was a Rudhified, would actually never survive if she wore it in Space!

Space Signal

I have a cold... I feel like I'm not on the planet as everything feels muted, dull and full of fluff! I could be floating around in space - which would be alright if I wasn't terrified by the thought - or trapped in a bubble at least. Being in space is the last place I'd ever want to be I have to say, but when I was sent a lovely gift from a friend and had just bought an outfit that seemed to work perfectly with it, I had to just be brave and go exploring!

Aggie McTavish of Stargazer Creations was kind enough to send me a copy of her "Iced" Skin - that has been released for the latest round of We <3 RP which runs until November 30th. Now admitedly with a name like Iced, I could have gone with something frozen and wintery feeling, but it was the addition of this adorable PVC Koharu Outfit Set - from r2 at Collabor88 - which took me from ice demon to space babe!
A space babe that is trying to use her new brocante walkie-talkie from the INSPIRE Space Park no less... If only she could get a signal up here...

Don't mind us, we're having a Moment...

I'm tired of being sweet and innocent I want something a little heated, a little sexy and well, a little erotic... Sometime's a girl has to do something a little bit different to spice things up and well... Mongo was a willing victim hehe... I mean model LOL... 
We'd been out shopping with Lil at a past Men's Department and had found this pose from oOo Studio. It was just too hot not to try to play around with, and I never get to make sexy pictures hehe this was a good chance for me to practice right?! Oh not to mention getting to see Mongo in some tiny man undies... It was a win win situation! 

As I've said before the pose is from oOo Studio, and was available at a past Men's Department, but it should still be available in the main-store. It took me so long to decide to share this photo, hehe until now it's just been a part of a perv collection I had in my hard drive - OK it was the ONLY one in the collection hehe - but I just love how it turned out so much that I couldn't resist sharing it here. 
It also gave me a chance to show off other amazing things, like the super cute and still covering yet barely there all at once dress from r2 called konatsu... I LOVE this store's PVC textures! They really do seem to be the most natural PVC texture I've seen, especially over the see-through areas. When it came to footwear I was a little lost, but it was Mongo that suggested these REIGN heels were perfect with it, the little studs matching the style of the polka-dot style holes in the black areas of my dress... 
I wanted that feeling of opulence in this photo, I KNOW it's me being a bit of a bad girl with - as he calls himself - my American Hubby, but I decided I needed candles - lots of them - and then even remembered the Grand Supped Curtains from Paper Moon that were a past Fantasy Collective item... When combined they gave such a soft feeling, that my collection of toys seemed a lot less intimidating hehe...

Lyrics from a song by Crown the Empire, that when I was running around dressed in an outfit that HellBone told me I shouldn't wear around the bikers, made the urge  to do something a little naughty stronger, and BOY did I get the look I was going for... The song was the one that I had playing in the background and I think it helped me to channel a victim style feeling LOL... Yet it was the look and the location that inspired this photo, both are a little risque, but oh-so-much fun hehe... 

So as the line of the song says I'm on my knees LOL... The pose is one from Signature Pose and it isn't part of the scenery, but it just fitted so perfectly... The victim being held in place by a magnetic force in the laboratory of a mad scientist...Least that's the look I was going for! The location is not one for the faint of heart though, it is a place that has a VERY rude name and use too actually - the location is called Get Fucked, so I will leave you to imagine what goes on there... Though it was empty when I went in, phew!
The outfit is one that I am in love with, and have worn a LOT - Hell is OK with it so long as I'm not around the biker boys or something LOL... I wore one of the newer releases from r2 fashions called Gekka. I LOVE the way that Rikka - the store's owner - seems to do magical things creating that perfect PVC look, especially the transparent PVC.
After finding the perfect outfit though, it was simple to scart accessorising - a pair of over the knee boots from BAX, a BabyDoll blindfold and some simple jewellery from (Yummy) and tapi, and this little captive of the mad scientist was ready to try to break free...
On a parting note today, while this little victim tries to break free, I think I should share with you the song that helped me inspire this photo... It's an older song but still an awesome one, Ladies and Gentlemen, Crown the Empire's song "Voices"...

The 90's had the Spice Girls...

Now my sister Lilian and I are proving that the 21st century predictions were all true... 2015 is the year that we're able to explore in space - provided that we are wearing the obligatory space suits - and so the 90's may have had the Spice Girls, the year 2015 has the Space Girls LOL... So long as we don't see any aliens, we will be fine, otherwise Lil will have to handle them on her own as I run away!!

The inspiration behind the space girl look came about because of these very risque, very sheer and so very sexy latex body suits - with their matching boots - from r2. As soon as we saw these at Collabor88 this month, Lil and I had to have them... Me chosing Black - no surprise there - and Lil chose a vibrant metallic silver colour, she decided to match me on the dark make-up look too, which makes me think no matter what we'd win a war in space! Any male opponent would fall to his knees at the sight of the pair of us... Surely?! Failing that I am sure we'd be able to get any of those lonely astronauts to go weak at the knees - if a lack of gravity hadn't done that already hehe... If you're a lonely astronaut and feel brave enough maybe you should come find us at the Larisa Incident Sim!

During our explorations, Lil and I landed on the Moon to take a walk around and check out the Moonbase as well as the Moon's Surface... Now I know, I know I don't have a helmet on, well being a Space Girl gives me special powers LOL... I don't need one!! Or at least that's what I'm telling people, and it's my story LOL...
Just for interests sake by the way, I decided to keep my hair short in this older style by Truth, I pulled on a studded bracelet from tapi and even had myself tattooed with this dark spiderweb print from White Widow... All older items in my hoard but they just looked so awesome with my space look, I couldn't bring myself to change out of them hehe...
Today I am also going to do a little showcase of someone else's talents... Lilian Howley, my darling sister, has recently decided to open a photography studio, so it's time for some promotion...

Lily like me was a bit unsure of her talents, but I know that when I see her photos I am in awe... She does no post editing, and only uses windlights to capture her gorgeous photos. In and out of the shadows...

Time for a little bit of honesty I think... I hope no one gets offended by it or upset in any way however, and I really do not mean to sound like a snob or rude!
As a blogger, and I AM NOT COMPLAINING AT ALL by the way, you sometimes get sent things that you look at and wonder 'what the heck am I going to do with that?' This tends to be the case with me, especially if I do not really like something, or if I feel uninspired at the very least.
I've always tried to be a positive blogger, and feel that no matter what someone will like something even if I don't, and that having been said I wanted to share with you two things - that from one release - by Consignment, which I both really love and don't have too strong a set of feelings for all at once.

The items in question come from this month's round of Collabor88 - in the Consignment booth... The theme of the event is punk rock and I've already said I round around it not being able to get my wallet out fast enough lol... Consignment had two releases for the event...
The Skull Pot Plants are the items that I loved! I don't know why but they really tickled my imagination. I mean there have been some interesting uses for skulls in our ancestral history, but this one is such a good idea I'm surprised people didn't think of it sooner LOL!
It is the other item that I am not so keen on however... These Wrapped Stools do come in a variety of different colours, but for some reason - and I know not what it is - they just do not get the fire going under me like a lot of other Consignment creations. They are very well made, and very stylish in a minimalistic way and are stuffed with lots of great poses, and they'd look great in a modern setting, but they are just totally not my taste... Still if you love them, they are still available at Collabor88, don't miss out!!!
While on the subject of Collabor88 though, let me point out my dress... The r2 Sakura Dress is one of the best PVC textures that I have seen in SL for a long time. I love the way that the reflections of light look natural with movement, and other people seem to love the clear textures for totally different reasons too hehe...
I kept the accessories simple though, some thigh-high spiked DRD Limited Boots, a Punk Collar from (Yummy) and some Bow Wrist Straps from Katat0nik, as well as a simple but very cute girlie hairstyle from Truth called Octavia, and the look was complete!
All in all I am happy with what I came up with and hope that you like it too, sorry Wavie, I LOVE your creative mind but the stools don't quite do it for me...

Keep Your Eyes Open

Now, Halloween might be over, but coming from me, I'd hope that you know by now I am always going to veer more towards the macabre than the girlie... Right?!
So, that having been said I was browsing through a selection of notecards for new releases and DAMN when my eyes fell upon the releases from [ContraptioN] over at the latest round of Uber - with this month's Macabre theme - I couldn't get into the event fast enough hehe...

There was actually a lot more that I wanted from the event than I had initially thought... First though let me talk to you about the [ContraptioN] items hehe...
The Death's Smile Mask is simply two wires of teeth over the mouth. They don't move, so if you are one of the people that talk on voice and watch the lips move, then you might be in for a bit of a shock when they remain static, but don't they look awesome?!
The Wide-Sight Eye attachment is a little different, because the eyeball is fixed to your own eyes, the thing moves LOL... It weirded Jimmy out a little, and that made me crack up laughing - weird Rudh score 1 LOL...
Whilst shopping at Uber - which is where you can currently grab these awesome [ContraptioN] goodies - I also found this great hair from little bones... It comes with the laces in one side, and two different variations of fringe!
My dress is an oldie but one of my favourites, and it seemed to look perfect with the new chokers from Cute Poison. These chokers are available for the Rumplestiltskin themed round of Enchantment, which as I mentioned before is where you buy an item, get a stamp card and collect the stamps from each of the participating stores then head to their secret location to chose a prize from a collection made up of all of the participating designers! The difference is with this and some of the other items that can be bought for Enchantment is that these items are from a gacha machine!
The location is one to check out too... It's by the creator Cica Ghost, and I LOVE everything that comes outta this creative mind! This time Little Town seems a little Steampunkish and maybe a little Burtonesque?!
