There's Red in the Bamboo!

I love using my blogging as a means to explore things that I wouldn't normally play around with. My basic style in SL is often dark and grungy, lots of black and plenty of metal, but my blog is full of so many random looks and styles because I LOVE the chance to play and do things that are different... 
One style that I tend to avoid is anything Asian... Japanese, Korean and Chinese dress is very popular in Second Life, but I always feel like I'm getting it wrong and although I LOVE seeing avatars that pull off the style, I always feel like it doesn't look right on me... Very occasionally though, something happens with a dress or an accessory, and my random rambling heads into a new territory for me... 

I've been whisked away on a trip to the bamboo forests of China - which in this case is actually a backdrop from Amitie - where the lanterns light the path through the bamboo to the Red Panda grove... The adorable little Red Pandas - a collection from the amazing JIAN - scamper through the wood, climbing in the trees and causing large amounts of chaos.
It was suggested that I needed to make sure they would accept my visit, I had to dress in the gorgeous Keya Dress - from miss chelsea, available at The Fifty until July 20th - so that I resembled their normal keepers, and wear some cute Red Panda Ears on a headband - although these are part of a set from HAZEL and are actually ears lol -so that they would get close enough to take the bamboo from my hand!!! Aren't they cute?!

Fear the Reaper... Please?!

I'm still having  happy Goth Summer... I always tell people the darker and more depraved things look onmy blog, the happier I feel and now that I'm on holiday I cannot help but let the darkness out... 
Today I've been really good to a certain someone that I want to stay on the good side of... Death has decided to take himself off on a little holiday, and so because I owed him a favour after last year I was happy to step in and look after his little reapers...

Stalking the corridors of the Occurance - a backdrop from Varonis - is the fastest way to slip between locations of all of the people that are written in the Reapers little black book. All I have to do is cross off the names as the Lil'Reapers - from Tardfish - do their work, flitting backward and forward through the doors... Someone needs to be there to assisting ensuring that people fear the reapers...

The Modernization Of Death

Today I've had a day off, my only day of the week off until Sunday and I've been busy working my butt off on preparing blog posts so that I can I have things to talk about this weekend. It's been a day of preparation, it's been a day of relaxation and it's been a day therapeutic mindfulness, that I get every time I spend time creating a look, setting up a scene and taking then editing a picture. 
I've also noticed that the darker things tend to get, the happier I know I am... Today I feel like a Death kinda day, but a death with a difference... 

Death has long been considered to be a creepy old dude, sometimes more skeletal, mostly cloaked in the dark, but there has been a change in the way that Death has been styled... She has modernized, glamorized and made to look super fiesty...
She stalks through her gardens in The Lost Cemetery - a backdrop from K&S - carrying her scythe and letting her long black cape flutter in the wind. Her modern look with the Sorcha dress - from Psycho Barbie - to match the satin of her cape, looks perfect with the discarded feathers of her beloved Raven pets that she wears as a decoration of Corvidae Plumage - from Quills & Curiosities - that to see her is less scary, more tempting and the entire reason that death is busier on the River Styx these days...

New Ways to make Easter Eggs

Easter is one of those very weird holidays, it seems to change every year and can be as early as the end of March or aslate as the end of April, but this year it falls on the second weekend in April. This means that as of yesterday there is exactly a month till it's chocolate egg day, one of the most confusing holidays that sees us getting chocolate eggs from a rabbit?! 
Since we're now on the month long run up to his busiest day of the year, as Santa spends time getting ready for Christmas, the Easter Bunny spends a month getting ready and preparing the chococlate eggs. There's always been rumours as to how the eggs are made, I'm about to reveal his secrets, but I'll warn you it's not exactly PG... 

Although, this is a fairly modern technique, the Easter Bunny has gotten bored of the conventional methods and is testing new things. This year he's gone for the kinky method as a trial run, he's trying to get the girls to make the eggs for him... For it to work successfully, he just needs to get the test subject excited enough. Its just needs a little Tough Love, and a few ropes tied in the right way...
