It's September, which for me when I was growing up, always meant that I'd be expecting to go back to school. It's been a bit of an inspiration for getting back into the swing of things trying to get my blogging mojo working again. I've had a little school type pressure from a "mentor" too - he's not a blogger, or a photographer, but he's applying a lot of pressure and making me work to get things done... He's almost like one of these zombie teachers on my first day back at school...
On her way to school, at the schools front gates, the bus was wrecked as it swerved to miss a student and hit the wall... Least it may have been a student, she was too busy texting as she rode in the bus, and when she got out well, there was a shock waiting for her... The faculty was all zombiefied!?! The doors for the bus had closed behind her, she was on her own... What would she do?! Besides look adorable... Doesn't her school uniform look gorgeous... I am crazy into the Tolkein world of Lord of the Rings and Hobbits... It's something that I grew up loving and find myself both reading and watching over and over and over again... Peter Jackson brought the books to life in a way that I love almost as much as Tolkein's original stories, yet I've always wanted to bring my enjoyment of it alive in SL... A few months ago I was bought a Hobbit House, and then very recently a huge gacha collection was released full of pretty LOTR based creations... WELL that was it, I was done, I needed EVERYTHING and I had to make myself into a character that would fit into the Middle Earth world...
Funny story, when I met my friend and sister Imma translated my SL name, it turned out that Rudhmellowen - which I created from Tolkein Elvish by the way - means 'Lover of Bald Men' and is kinda funny because HellBone shaves his head in RL!! Maybe it was fate?! Anyway, SPELL released a Gacha full of Middle Earth goodies for the current - but soon to close - round of The Chapter Four this month, and I NEEDED EVERYTHING... Theres Hobbitishness, and Elven goodies, Human and Dwarven with a few darker things thrown in too, and it was a set that I NEEDED... Much of it now litters my little Hobbit hole LOL... To let you see some of the finer details that you can't really see in the bigger picture I'm going to share a little close up collage with you...
Then to finish, I want to share something that I LOVE to listen to and watch too... An Official video for the final instalment of Peter's Jackson's Hobbit Movie... Sung by Billy Boyd - aka Peregrine "Pippin" Took - it's the perfect song to close the collection of movies, and works not just for one but both trilogies as a goodbye... No matter what happens in this life, I KNOW that I will always find happiness in reading books, but the Tolkein realm of Middle Earth will always be one of those places I can retreat to and leave with a smile on my face!

Yesterday I had some bad news in my RL, and consequently spent my time curled up in a ball in RL, crying and unable to function for anything much else. This morning after a night's sleep I feel more responsive but the tears are still coming, so I need to take a few minutes to just breathe and take a time out... Pouring my heart out here in my Pseudo-Journal. I found out yesterday that someone I grew up with was tragically killed when he was out surfing off the coast of the UK on Sunday. I know I didn't need to share details but it's better to let it out than hold it in, and I hope you can forgive me for that. He was a strong swimmer, and grew up on the sea with a fisherman for a father and a crazy obsession with surfing, but it goes to show just how dangerous mother nature can be, even when you're so far away from her most destructive forces - my heart goes out to those affected by all of the recent torments of mother nature even more at this time. Yet at my favourite time of year when the part of the world I live in is slowing down and settling into a Winter slumber, I still find myself marvelling at the beauty of it all...
Taking some time out of RL and the sadness that it's brought me, my family and more importantly the family of my friend, I decided to enjoy some of the lush Autumnal Landscapes that are springing up all over the place at the moment... I cannot get enough of the Autumn - or Fall as some might say - I just love everything about it... The colours, the crisp feeling in the air and even the rain!! NonStop is one of those locations that is perfectly Autumn and perfect for a pensive walk with my new buddy, a 'dorable Dane from Jian. After today, he's got a name, he'll be known as Bruce from now on, named for my friend! I picked up my new friend Bruce at the current round of the Arcade, and while I was there spotted these AMAZING jeans from DAMI - thank you to my dear sweet puppy Kal for being able to win them for me, you have the magic touch it seems - which I wore with my new favourite sweater from Paperdoll's. Perfect for a naughty girl in Winter! After getting dressed and finding this awesome location to wander through, I needed the perfect pose. I'm not sure I can't quite believe that today is actually August 1st, where the hell is the year going and why is it seeming to slip by so fast?! Though I have to admit that I am glad I'm done with July. July was so full of drama and nonsense that it made my head spin, and I've become a bit of an emotional wreckage! So I warn you that today I'm going to open my heart a bit and let the drama spill out, something that I need to do here occasionally, BUT if you wanted to avoid that then enjoy the pretty picture and move on down to the Outfit List at the bottom, and I promise that this kind of ramble won't happen too often!
Time for the ramble... Many of you will know that I lost my RL job back in April and although I hated it I have come to the realisation that the daily grind of nothing but house hold chores is driving me to boredom. I cannot for the life of me work out how housewives - or husbands - can be able to find enjoyment at home all day every day. Now that the boredom has taken control I'm finding myself unable to find a job and it's making me feel useless... When I add to that a feeling of not being needed, feelings of not being able to achieve anything - through a lack of self confidence and over-thinking things - and lots and lots of SL drama in my friendship circle it feels like I'm sinking. Tears fall fairly frequently and I'm hiding myself away a lot, not wanting to share my woes with anyone because frankly I know there are people out there in a worse state. I'm not going to go into details, don't worry, but I just wanted to make sure that everyone who knows me realises I'm pretty fragile right now... Hence why in the picture I'm shedding tears over a loss... A loss of myself somewhat, and I know that sounds over dramatic but things will get better! I know they will... YAYYYYYYY GUESS WHO IS BACK HOME?!! That's right ME! Did anyone miss me while I was gone?! I know that HellBone did, as he told me this evening "Now you're Back, get me a drink bitch" LOL... I've been what my sister called a "Moaning Myrtle" for too long - I think that's a Harry Potter reference by the way, I'm not sure but maybe someone can tell me - and I need to find some inner strength to dust myself off and move forwards... So I'm moving on, I'm going to start doing happy things again and I'm going to love every minute of it... Starting with today's blog post and pretty picture... I have to admit I got a little creative!
I wanted to do something blank and white, I have a project coming for a friend in SL and she wanted black and white shots so I needed a little practice, this was the result of my practice, and I have to admit that I am pretty pleased with what I came up with! Shot at Hazardous, I was wearing this awesome Riot Dress from Razor - available at the current round of Suicide Dollz - with the super fluffy CURELESS Cheshire's Shawl in black - this by the way is a Gacha item available at this month's Arcade just so you know! The picture in black and white looked great but I wanted to do something extra that would make it pop... Then I thought about the bright red lips on the Hobi Chokers from random.Matter - available at The Chapter Four for March - and my bright red lipstick to match... With my Red hair it all just seemed like a great idea to "Sin City" up the picture, and well, as you can tell I am very happy with the result! A little glamour but also a little pop!
