Let Her Eat Cake!

Well it's been a difficult few days for me, life is pretty quiet here in Holland, and there's not much happening in my working life - although I did just get given the weekend off! - but I want to find things to keep me occupied from slipping into a bit of a RL depression right now. I know that there people with worse situations in the world, but I just feel lonely due to missing my RL family! 
So it's Thursday and I'm totally free until Tuesday next week, what am I going to do to make things feel better... LET THEM EAT CAKE!!

I know she was not one of the best examples of monarchy throughout history, but there are some times in life when a girl can totally get behind the sentiments of what Marie Antoinette said... YES she wasn't smart for suggesting the people in her kingdom should eat cake when they couldn't even afford the basics and were starving, but come on... IT'S CAKE!!! Cake I feel, could always perk my mood up and make me a happier Rudhie! 
So I LOVED this dress in the MariaAntoniete Gacha from UNA... It comes in a range of colours, but being a gacha collection you gotta get lucky to win the colours you desire! I found this perfect pink set matched with the dress my Fantastique Frenchie - from Hextraordinary - had chosen to wear, and while we were posing with all this cake she looked adorable, until she decided to put her face in it!!! 
Still I won't be too mad at her, in the words of Marie Antoinette, "let her eat cake" and "bon appetite!"

Donuts for Breakfast

Right now it's Breakfast time in Holland, and I'm just waking up with a cup of fresh coffee, but I AM STARVING. I decided to distract myself by opening my blog to write something interesting, and if it isn't Sod's Law - that's the British name for Murphy's Law by the way - that the post I have ready and waiting for me today is food related! Doughnuts - or Donuts speaking Americanese - to be exact! 
Over the weekend, Rudh had been busy baking!!! 

Her need to make Doughnuts all started with a collar - a newish release from Zombie Suicide, that I have included a close up of below just to give everyone a better look at it - and ended up with me making a LOT of mess in my kitchen, as well as covering myself in a layer of flour hehe... 
Making Doughnuts is yummy fun, it's easier when using a Kei's Spot Donut Maker I assure you, but aside from all that, the best thing about Doughnuts is when you get to eat them... 
Now all this Doughnutty Fun has been completed by Rudh, I may have to go to the local store and get some in RL lol...

Parties need Sparkles and Flowers

Another Monday can only mean one thing... It's a back to work day! By now you might have guessed that I am not overly happy in my job anymore, in fact I will let you all know that my job is a major reason as to why I am so depressed at the moment... I've spent enough time crying though, so today I am going to try to think of other things, nicer things, like having a party with you... That sounds like a fun idea right?!
Let's have a little party, something magical, something pretty, something to make me smile on a day when I feel like I'm stuck in Hell! We need some yummy food and lots of pretty decór...

OK, OK I went a little overboard with food and decór but like I said, stuck in Hell, I need something to make me feel happier... This makes me feel marginally happier... Now if I could only have it in RL please?!
Let's start by talking about the pretty things and then move onto the yummy things... To decorate I wanted flowers and sparkles... My invited guests dressed in their finest flower costumes - yes the guests were bears from Boogers - and brought me a bunch of beautiful Apple Fall roses, but it was the Balloons that drew most of my attention! I'd seen these on blogs and at Collabor88, but when I pulled out the pastel Fairylight Balloons from Half-Deer I was in love... Sparkles and prettiness, what is there not to love about these balloons?! I might have to go back for more in different colours!
I went a little bit bonkers on the catering side of things, especially since my guests don't seem to want to eat that much. Three different things to drink - milk, coffee and an awesomely zingy lemonade that I had specially selected from tres blah - and lots of bad for me things to eat too!
Everything was ready, except for me, so I slipped into a very pretty kitty dress, a Tied Cocoon Dress in yellow, from {sallie} and was ready to play the perfect hostess.
I now just need to hope that my day goes as well as my party planning skills... Or someone is going to be getting to see the angry monster side of this pretty party planner...

Testing for Evil...

At this time of year, with the scary season upon on, you notice people seem to really get into the holiday spirit... People who normally wouldn't dream of wearing anything but the latest fashions, are doing so in a way that now makes them look dead and evil too... AND I LOVE IT! I love seeing everyone embrace their dark side and become a little macabre, especially since in a few months time we will all be getting sparkly and Christmassified!
For me personally, the macabre and slightly dead looking is a normal way of life LOL... I tend to be more dead than alive in SL, but hey that's just the way I like it...
I did want to run a few tests on people though to find out who is evil and who is just pretending - there's a lot of evil wannabes out there LOL... Thanks to this machine I have the perfect tool, and every household should have one LOL...

Maybe I should first share my results with you...

As you can see, the results don't lie!!! I'm just one away from the Devil, but then I'm married to a guy called Hell so to be honest it doesn't really seem surprising does it?!
I've set the machine up at the MC clubhouse, I HAD to check to see which of them was evil or not... Turns out there are far too many good angels lol... I also realised, while I was messing about with poses that I LOVE this outfit! The Anawyn Outfit from SAKIDE - and available now at the Mystic Realms Fair - is gorgeous... I LOVE the hard looking leather strapped top, with the long and oh-so-seductively split skirt. I accessorised that with some adorable Ballast Pumps in Silver from Mute, and a gorgeous bracelet and armband from aisling, called Elyan, that can be won in a gacha at The Gathering!
