One of my favourite stories of all time has to be The Beauty and The Beast... It, for me, is one of the stories with the most power - telling a tale of a true love that can be found without looking at the persons outside, but by discovering the person from the inside. As I've always been someone that loved fairytales, a message like that for the little fat girl with the red hair and glasses was very deep and meaningful! SL sometimes can seem like a boiling pot of fairytales if you think about it... In this case, for me at least, I can honestly admit to you that when I first met HellBone's avatar... Well it wasn't the classic, hot, grunge boy look that I'd chosen to mess around with in the past, in fact and he knows I say this but he looked like a bit, well... Anyway, we worked together as friends, he would sing silly Dutch songs for me while he was DJing and eventually we met in RL as "friends"... The rest is history! Beast isn't the right word, for HellBone, but I looked beyond what I saw on the surface and found something I loved... So when I saw that Enchanted was running a Beauty and the Beast theme, I got more than a little excited...
Then when I saw the items that May's Soul had created, they were all over Flickr how could I miss them?! I simply had to have them LOL... The Beast Horns are a subtle nod towards finding the beauty within, adorned as they are with roses, and although they are available in both black and white colours, I just felt that the black had more of that dark beastly look to them! The Eye Patch and Choker are also available from May's Soul but are to be collected once you have a filled out a complete stamp card for this event. The way Enchantment works is that if you buy something from the participating designers, you are issued with a "stamp card", you then take this to all of the participating stores and collect a stamp which will unlock a location with special items that can be unlocked by turning in the full card... Think I'm talking gibberish? Check it out here for more information! Though enough shop talk lol, lets talk more about my Beauty within the Beast look! I decided to show that even though she looks scary - because I LOVE LOOKING LIKE A MONSTER Lol - that there is still a beauty there... Maybe you disagree and think "Ugh hideous"... I bought the hair from Exile, which will also earn you an Enchanted stamp card, it's called Librarian Chic, I wonder who it is based on LOL... But that my friends is where the pretty stops, and where the beastly devil takes over... I spent a LOT of time listening to a particular song this week, and you can actually tie it together with the Beauty and the Beast theme... The words "You'll realise I'm not your Devil" permeate the track! I'll share the song in a bit, but the Devil in me took over LOL... I'm wearing a super cute, but kinda sexy bad girl outfit from SAKIDE. It's not available yet, you have to wait until tomorrow and the opening of the With Love Fair, but I couldn't resist dressing my beast in this outfit... The beastly face was created by revealing my huge Carnivorous Jaw - which you can get yourself from ContraptioN - and then the iBurnout eyes which are a group gift from my new passion-of-a-store 7mad;Ravens! A flick of make-up, a Stacked Bracelet of Pure Poison, and a Mark of Cain branding her as cursed - which you can grab for free in the men's path of the Jack or Jill Hunt from Fallen Doll by the way - and this Beast is ready to rock out on the roof of her castle in the rain. Isn't that how the Disney version ended anyway?! Now I mentioned a song, I warn you the video is a bit graphic, but it is Slipknot - or Snotlip as Hell calls them. We saw them live in Amsterdam on Sunday, I was pretty impressed I must say, and this song, seems to kinda fit with the whole beauty inside...

Horror Haute January is definitely well under way, and the theme this month has been all about the Japanese Horror Genre. Before I start on one of my usual rambles I will happily admit to you that I know NOTHING about this style of Horror. Dark and Macabre YES, but anything beyond The Ring and I am totally at a loss, so I feel fairly lucky when I say that a lot of these gorgeous items you can enjoy without knowing the stories behind them, and others have included their stories... Two of the outfits that are available from the collection created very different looks as I was putting them together, and a thought struck me, they looked like sisters but more like a fire and ice version of each other... Hence Fire and Ice Sisters lol...
The skins of these two looks come from the same Horror Haute participant - [Stargazer Creations] - and although this is not the first time I have played about in these Yurei Skins, there are 8 different make-ups to choose from, a girl can be flippant and wear them all LOL... That my friends, is where the similarities between the two sisters stops! Ice Sister is wearing a gorgeous kimono from AfterMath Creations. Not only can you get yourself this really pretty, and scarily feminine by Horror Haute standards, outfit BUT you can also grab yourself flower ornamentation for the hair in two different styles - the bigger and more ostentatious of the two I am wearing here - a skin set, that I chose not to use so I would match the other sister but that you can see in the gorgeous photos of the outfit by Eldergoth Macabre's AnnabeleLee Dreadlow, AND if that wasn't enough you can also get yourself hair to match too - Yes the one Anna is wearing, and YES in three different colours!!! Me being me and having a bit of an addiction to mixing and matching I chose to wear different hair, this being one of the new releases from Truth this week. You can grab yourself a copy of the Esther Hair from Uber right now! The Fire Sister doesn't feel the need to wrap up so warm as her Icy sibling, and so she wears something that's far from traditional, being very short in the front with only a long trailing skirt back. This awesome outfit, which includes her crown of thorns by the way, comes from the store The Untitled. To finish her style off and make her seem just that tad different to her sibling, she wears the Yurei skin in version M02, one of the ones with a very strong make-up! There is just one more thing that I want to mention here - and it is totally non-Horror Haute related - these hairstyles are like two different versions of each other, from two different stores almost. As I mentioned before the blue coloured one is from Truth, and available at Uber, but the red coloured one is from Ploom, and available at My Attic. The thing that I love about them both is that they are almost like the same style, one loose down your back, the other twisted over your shoulder but BOTH featuring that messy style braid too! Possibly my least horrific Horror Haute photo EVER, but I will say these sisters aren't as sweet as they look... Fierce yes, Hidden Evil yes, and pure chaos hehe...
It's AUTUMN!!!! I love this time of year, it's the season that Halloween calls home, but it's also one of the times of year when nature feels golden! I love that still slightly warm sun, the radiant glow of the light in the reddening trees and even love the rain! Even in SL things are heading in a much more Autumnal direction - which must be weird for people in the southern hemisphere... Must ask Jimmy - well they are, everywhere except the Gators MC Sim... HellBone wants to keep it swampy, and gator infested swamps don't have seasonal change much do they?
I did find a little corner of Autumn... Somewhere the leaves needed raking up and the dead grass could be turned into a hay bale for all the cute little animals that live near my house this winter! While I was doing that I needed something a little more comfy to wear... Thank heavens for my new shirt dress! I saw these dresses advertised at Collabor88 from Atomic, all of the designs were cute but this one with it's "No Good, Very Bad, Always Evil" Design really fitted with the way I live my SL hehe - least I try to but others might well disagree! I kept the rest of my look simple, as I was working in the garden, everything except for my hair and horns that is! The Hair and it's Horns accessory is called Neria, and it can be found at the Mystic Realms Fair in the Truth Booth. I know I've said it before sometimes Truth hair for me is take it or leave it... In the right outfit it can be perfect, but it can also look wrong... I know so many people who say Truth hair is their favourite and I will give it to you I love the textures and styles... This one was just what I wanted, and as they say sometimes you win but sometimes you lose hehe...
