FINALLY IT'S FRIDAY, but oh my gosh it's getting damn hot and more than a little humid. I keep turning my airconditioner on and then off again, it shouldn't have to be running all the time at the moment LOL! It's not even June until tomorrow... Here comes the summer heat, and I'm already dreading it! It's FAR TOO HOT ALREADY!!!
Like sitting in the middle of the desert, except in Holland there's less dry heat and more take two steps and sweat your butt off heat!! You know me though, when something happens in RL, it seems to be amplified through Rudh and pictures are created, and that is exactly what happened today. I guess you could say it's a bit of a look of the day, but heat aside it was inspired by some AWESOME shoes... These shoes are from Pure Poison, and they are the Arizona Sandals. I have to admit I have a bit of an addiction to cacti in RL, so when I saw these I had to have them... I added an adorable pair of anklets from Ama that you can grab now at Whimsical... BUT I have to admit they aren't that clear in the photo, so being good I've added the ad boards. To dress the rest of my body, I chose something simple yet girlie, and also bearing a hidden surprise depending on the dress you choose hehe... It's not often that I get to spend time with HellBone - for those of you that don't know, he's my hubby - Barbosa, in fact it's less frequent than the ECLIPSE at the moment, but when we do it's nice to just be a couple and not have to worry about RL or SL dramatics... Hell and I have been married for 5 years in RL, after meeting in SL, we don't always have the easiest of relationships but we're united and there's love, and that's what matters at the end of the day right?! So for the soon to happen close of the ECLIPSE, HellBone and I stopped at one of those grungy diners and had a few shots of Tequila!!!
The grungy diner is actually pretty cool, it's one of those old Trams - an ECLIPSE release from DRD - that have been converted to form a retro looking restaurant! They serve junk food and tequila - thanks to a pose from Secret Poses - it was nice to just hang out, and force him to sit still for a few moments while I used him as a model! Of course he has his moments, kept trying to interrupt me every time I was about to take a shot of Tequila. I'm not sure if he wanted it all for himself but in the end it was a case of "Wait!" LOL... So I am fully willing to admit that there are a lot of things in life that scare me because I fully admit that I'm a bit of a chicken, but even though I fully refer to myself as a living dead doll I'm totally afraid of watching Horror of any kind... I'm feeling a little sleepy, but kinda playful so I decided to unleash my inner fantasy being... Not a mermaid this time, but my Fairy is being let out to play. OK SO, I don't want to rant but I can feel myself building one up and I guess it's better to let it out in a productive way rather than let it sit so I mull over it and end up in an even bigger mess than when I started! Today's rant is about me, it's not aimed at anyone and shouldn't be taken as anything other than me just venting steam but it's something that seems to rear it's ugly head on occasion and it makes me into a very grumpy, somewhat depressed - I guess you could say Salty?! - kind of girl...
I guess what it all comes down to is the fact that I see so many people on Flickr getting hundreds of likes for their pictures and I find myself questioning, doubting, wondering what I'm doing wrong and if there is something I should be doing differently. I know that it's bad to do that, I know I shouldn't be comparing myself to anyone else but sometimes it's hard not to. There are so many people taking amazing pictures out there with such variety of styles, but I bring myself down to a point where I'm about to give up sometimes. It's all because I'm not getting the number of likes I'd want on Flickr... Silly huh?! It's a massive numbers game, a popularity contest and sometimes when I'm really low it feels like I'm losing, but that's not really the point of what I do here is it?! For me my blog is all about relaxation and therapy - of sorts - I sit here and take pictures, write and feel like the weight is lifted off my shoulders. I know I may not be the best blogger or photographer out there, but I do what I love and if other people enjoy it then that's great! I have to keep telling myself that like a mantra, I have to stop caring about the fact that other people's pictures always seem more "popular" than my pictures and to be honest, I have to stop worrying about what other people are getting and focus on taking the pictures that I know will make myself happy... I'm gonna just sprinkle some salt on it... I'm done being salty and complaining and feeling like I'm not good enough... I'm gonna do me, and good luck to everyone else... It's time to cast a few magic spells... Someone has to do something to get Flickr working more efficiently again... I need my hourly boredom fixer lol, need to be able to scroll through the pictures whilst drinking coffee, need it to work so I can upload my addictions to the internet LOL... SOMEONE has to make it work better, and so I'm going to cast whatever spells I can get my hands on to make it work...
For some reason the magic books I had, all tell me that I need to be in the middle of a graveyard to get the spells to work. I must admit that I was feeling more than a little pessimistic about it all, but I did exactly as the spell told me. It has been a busy few days for me, I've been working my little butt off in the cheese shop and now I'm more than a little exhausted. Thank heavens for the weekend I hear you say, but even then I'm being kept busy-ish with my SL job so there's no rest for the wicked. It's making me cranky, and causing a lot of stress, and that in turn is making me want to do nothing but hide from the world and cry a little... That's just what I intend to do today...

I'm feeling in a bit of a fantasy, fairytale kinda mood today. Maybe it's because it's my day off but I'm kinda happy and feeling like I want to dance around all day, like a happy little fairy! Rudh found herself going exploring a little today, wandering through the garden of giants, a feeling which was emphasized by the fact that I wanted to wear fairy wings and look pretty... I found an adorable little sunny spot in the corner of the garden, snuggled into the flower pot and sat enjoying the warming rays of the sun...
The sunflower pot seat is one of my new favourite Garden furnishing items... Normally my Garden is a bit more of a realistic farm style, but I couldn't resist this chair. HellBone is due home today... So I find myself standing around waiting on his return, not so much like the happy wife to have her hubby back home but more pensively enjoying the calm before the storm lol... I also heard somewhere that the end of Game of Thrones is soon, and even though I've never seen an episode, somehow today's picture had - I've been told - an air of GoT about it! Still if that's the case, Queen Rudh is ready in waiting for her "King's" return...
On the night of the Eclipse, HellBone is returning to the arms of his Queen - not sure if it will be a warm welcome, it depends on how much laundry he has for her to do lol - but she watches out of the window and waits, knowing the sound of a roaring motorbike engine will announce his return long before she can see him... This post was actually majorly inspired because of the cape... It was ALL about the cape, which is an ECLIPSE release from egosumaii - or {aii}. Curses HellBone LOL... You've gone away for the weekend and left me home alone, I thought it would be great but actually I'm finding myself a little bored lol... Even though the Eurovision is about to start and that usually gives me a giggle! Secretly I'm cursing HellBone for abandoning me, and leaving me here to get bored! Sitting on my own, and starting to get mad, I decided to cast one or two little spells and maybe even summon a demon to entertain me...
Sitting, surrounded by HellBone's stuff to channel my anger and hidden powers... She's going to try to summon that demon to help her get through the lonliness... Luckily the ECLIPSE is on her side to help her out a little... That's right, the shopping event that appeals to the lovers of the darkness is up and running again and I'm so excited by some of the goodies this month has brought. Her magical nature becoming very prominent as the magic in the air reveals her true nature all over her skin, the VVITCH Tattoo - from THIS IS WRONG - appearing on her skin as the spell is cast. The markings aren't the only ECLIPSE goodies though, oh no... Her spiked heels that are marking the object of her displeasure are a pair of Barbed Stilettos from MONUMENT, and her clawed nails are a necessary part of the "Conjuration" - which are available from the Cerberusxing booth at the Eclipse! It's officially the weekend, and while HellBone and her SL parents are away doing fun things in RL so I should be letting my hair down and partying, but I'm being a good girl and am just sitting at home working... Rudh on the other hand is using it as an excuse to let her inner party girl free. She jumped in a cab and is riding all the way to the party, not just any cab I should add, this one is the car of a luxurious party girl lifestyle, complete with bottles of champagne!

That's it, my stressful working week, in regards to the cheesy job I have is done, so now it's onto my long weekend and this weekend is all about playtime and the things that make me smile. I'm going to relax and enjoy some freedom this weekend, as HellBone is away in RL and I'm being left to my own devices! Whatever will I get up to?! First up, a little dreaming, a little thinking back to the easier times, like when I was a little kid and Thursdays always meant one thing... Dance Lessons... I loved ballet, until I was told I was too big for it - such a bad thing to hear for a kid that loves it as a form of exercise but gets disheartened because they're too big! So for now, I'm going to relive that time, and practice a little ballet, even if it is only with my SL Barbie Doll...

This pose prop, aptly called The Barre, is a series of ballerina warm-up poses, involving barre work. I used to love the barre, it was my favourite thing to dance with in dance classes as pirouettes always made me dizzy LOL... I'm on a roll with taking some pretty happy pictures at the moment, yesterday's post aside I mean, but today is Mother's Day - for everywhere in the world besides the UK it seems - so today I'm going to kinda sorta pay homage to my own mum... I have two of the best Mom's in SL - Louisa and Phedre - but my RL Mum is one of my favourite people in the world. She - aside from Manky - is my best friend, my confidante and my voice of reason. Ever since I've been young she's been as much a friend as a parent, and I wouldn't want that any other way. I miss her when I'm in Holland, it's one of the hardest things about moving away, but she's there at the end of a phone and I am so lucky for that! Now, my mum has many passions... She's a jewellery expert, walking obsessed, bellydancing diva, but on a sunny day like today she loves to potter in the garden, so that's exactly how I'm going to share her with you today...
We share a love of flowers, and I think that she'd really like the way this photo turned out. I'm having one of those days when things are pretty boring LOL... I hate Drama... It's one of the worst parts of Second Life and I swear, sometimes it's so off putting that I find myself not wanting to log in. I got back from vacation on Monday and since then it's been pouring out of the pipes due to some ignorant morons thinking that any image on the internet is available for use by anyone because it's online! I LOVE Music, it can make you feel a huge range of emotions... It can take you up or down, and it can take you from feeling down to being high and happy. I LOVE this outfit too... I'm back from my vacation and had to hit the ground running as I went straight back to work, but after some of the things that happened it may have been the best thing for me. Yet it also kept me from being able to play with some new things and work on some pretty SL pictures... I had been itching to do it, I was excited to be able to get creative again... Luckily for me today was the day!!! I finally went CYBER/PUNK and braved going to the event - I had to be brave, my wallet was going to take a hit - but if the future looks anything like this, it's going to be fun I tell you...
I bought more than a few things, but got very very lucky - I'm inclined to say spoiled really - by some of the designers that I have the privileged to blog for too. It got my creativity kicked into overdrive, so my first post back will be something a little CYBER/PUNK. I'm on the run up to my heading home, I leave my family again on Sunday and it's always the worst time for me. No matter what happens I know I'll get upset at leaving them all behind, it happens every time! Yet tonight is one of the best reasons that I came home, so I'm trying to remain positive and excited! Talking of exciting, while I've been away I was given the chance to be a part of a blogging team for a store that I LOVE... Luckily, I had something stashed away ready to talk about that will get me started for this awesome blogging team, until I can get home to work on something pretty! Yet the sadness still shines through a little and it clearly shows how I feel right now...
Forget the fact that Rudh is walking through a graveyard, I'm trying not to feel too emotional about leaving home to head home... It's a weird mixture of feelings... I know! I do, however, love this picture. The sadness, and the beauty of it, and I've always been more than a little interested in walking through a graveyard. I guess it's the living dead girl in me that is making her presence known. The store that I mentioned before is in fact FIKA, and whilst I have been away I was accepted to join their blogging team. So I felt very lucky to know that I had included this awesome Eclipse Teapot handbag into this photo. The bag was originally released for ECLIPSE, but I hope now that it has found it's way to the mainstore. It comes in light and dark versions, with three different hold poses included in each colour pack. Other things that deserve a little mention are the Oubliette Neo Witch Gacha Dress, that is just super pretty and this PM PixelMode Umbrella pose that I bought in the store's closing sale! Even though the picture looks sad, I'm very happy with it, and more than a little excited about becoming a blogger for FIKA. Just have to get through the hurdle of leaving home now...

So today I'm having a lazy day with my family, that's right I'm still in the UK and won't be home for a few days to come yet. Things will be slowing down with my blog right now, I have two posts ready to go then I'm afraid you will need to wait until I'm back home again hehe... Not that that's very long now, I'll be home again on Monday! Today though because I'm having a lazy day I have something that I'd taken pictures of a long time ago that I'm going to share... Lazy I know but the things in it are so cute how can I not resist sharing it?!
I love making outfits that are kinda kooky cute, and this is no exception to that. It's not something that I needed to blog - pose aside perhaps which is a pose from -Extra- - but I just loved the outfit and wanted to share it with everyone. It seemed a bit kooky cute in a possible fashionista kinda way, which is why I am in a tailor's workshop, but I just love the entire look I have going on here... I've said that more than once in this post and I will no doubt say it again but YAY I LOOK ADORABLE!! I teamed a gorgeous Dreamy Fall Dress - from fashionably dead - in this rich forest silk, with some cute Polka Tights - from The Secret Store - to give it that kinda quirky look. Then accessorized my hair and face with a Navy + Copper Wig - called Lungo - and some over-sized Zombie Suicide glasses! Is it just me, or is this cute?? Does anyone actually agree with me or do you think I look weird?? LOL...
