Love to Ukraine!

Things are getting pretty scary out there in the world right now, Russia attacking the Ukraine, so soon after the world is just beginning to open it's doors following the Covid Pandemic, is causing more harm in the world... As an outsider to the crisis, I find myself mourning for their losses as if the attack was on my own doorstep, it's hard to imagine how the people of the Ukraine are feeling right now. It's hard to imagine how the Russian people are feeling right now, knowing that the entire world is watching their movements... The unease, the raw emotions,  the fighting... It's horrible to watch knowing there is nothing that I can do to help... 

Perhaps everyone would think it's pathetic of me, but I've started to avoid watching the news limiting it to the bare minimum every day. It is heartbreaking to see the separation of families, and the destruction of a beautiful country. Fighting for their lives... Yet still they rise, defend their homes and land. They face the hardships and still pause to care for the Russian soldiers that give themselves up, and I recently heard they were allowing the mothers of these soldiers to come and collect them if they can... 
Wishing there was more I can do... I'd be willing to assist anyone that needed the help, I'd do what I can...
Luckily in Second Life, a team of event organisers and designers have pulled together to form the event "Love to Ukraine" to raise funds for three different Ukranian charities... If there's one thing that I can do shopping is a good bet that it will work... From the informations at the event; 
"Over 100 designers from across the grid have come together and placed out a selection of new items, re-colours, exclusives, old items, some discounted...all in order to raise funds which will be split and donated to the following 3 charities; National Bank of Ukraine : raising funds for the Ukrainian Army, Ukranian Red Cross & Voice of Children." The event runs from now until March 18th, and proceeds will go to help those in need. 
It is the first time in a long time that war has happened on European soil, but the Ukrainians are showing their resilience and although I can't do much I'll show my support and wear Sunflowers to support their cause!
