ARGH *pirate voice* I BE TRAYSURE HUNTIN!

Treasure, Freebies, Whatever you wanna call it... I FREAKING LOVE DOING THEM!

I will hunt for anything from instore hunts to the mammoth grid wides that seem to have spread throughout SL like wildfire...

It always intrigues me as to how some stores can do so many of the hunts that run almost continuously, when do they ever find time to actually make anything new for their store? The world of SL designing confuses me immensly.

When I first got into the whole SL treasure hunting thing there were so few around, that Treasure Quest (rubbish even today it still continues though apparently with limited interest so I am told) was a complete novelty... who'd have thought it, sim-hopping looking for prizes... NOW though they seem to be EVERYWHERE and they come with all kinds of weird themes...

For instance, in September, I cherry-picked to do 5 out of the hundreds on offer... All with mixed results...

There was the Twisted Hunt (which I wasnt too enamoured with, it was nearly 300 stops and a couple I went to seemed to be stores selling stuff that other people had created - SOD THAT ONE), the Think Pink (which I did despite the colour and actually got some stuff I MIGHT use), the Snow White Hunt and the Kawaii Hunt (both of which were just cute) and the Fashion Freak 2 Hunt (which I was really excited over as during the last one I got LOTS of Rudhish Clothes for FREE). For the upcoming month of October I have at least 8 hunts to choose from, though there will be a LOT of Halloween in there!!!

Haven't been online that much otherwise due to that horrible thing which pops up on occasion, Real Life, but I will be back and will have more to share my thoughts about later lol!

Are they just words or do they mean something?

I didn't ever want this blog to be about ranting or drama or anything like that... but this is bugging me...

Yet I have come to realise once again that in SL people use words that normally would mean a lot, to both the user and the one they are communicating with, as mere flippant words that are just space fillers... Someone in SL saying "I Love You" could easily mean "I got nothing better to do at the moment"...

Today it wasn't love but friendship that seemed to have been tossed around like salad... Why would you refer to someone as your "Best Friend", display it publicly in your profile and then tell the person in question that you think they are judgemental and have no right to be expressing an opinion, even if it is concern... Said friend disappeared once due to RL but then came back as someone completely new, for the same kind of stuff that drove them away in the first place to begin to happen again...

*sighs* Seriously, soap opera writers seeking inspiration... CHECK OUT SECONDLIFE... there is no better drama in the world and it puts every soap opera in existence to shame... (though I will say that some of the American Soaps seem to come pretty close!) *closes the door on the Llama*

Hair Fair 2010

Ok well for those of you that don't know I am a bit of a shoppaholic, some have even been known to suggest that I could find anything anyone was looking for on SL (without using Xstreet, which I gave myself a personal ban from)... 

Yet when the Big Fair events come around I really have to restrain myself, Shoe Fair tends to be a bit of a nightmare for me, though this year Hair Fair proved to be just as bad and I found myself thinking "Thank you designers for creating demos", SL without demos would be... well... I certainly wouldnt be sure of buying things lol... I trust certain places, that I know and love... Ploom Hair for example, which frankly I buy without even thinking (one might say I am a bit of a Ploom Hair Whore), but from the Hair Fair I came away with around 40 hair demos that I had to try... 

It was about this point in time that the PC decided that the graphics card would take a nosedive... Bollocks, Just my flipping luck... This meant that the 40 hair demos I had picked out from the millions of hairstyles on offer at Hair Fair were reduced to looking like pointy prim crap on my head... 

SEE CRAPPY LOOKING PRIM BLOBS (from Ploom)... I am sure it will look much better when its able to REZ!

My first throught... ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH, my second thought hmmmm I dont care I'll try them on anyway... and through much umming and awwing, I was actually pretty good... I was ruthless... I spent time deliberating... and now you will, im sure, be proud of me for coming away from Hair Fair with THREE STYLES ONLY (two of which are Ploom lol)... I know I am proud of me, lol, I could have had a LOT MORE!!!!! Plus at the same time, I donated money to the charity "Wigs for Kids" (a charity that will buy wigs for kids undergoing cancer treatment)... I am SUCH a good person, I wasn't really thinking about that at the time I'll admit, I was more like GIMME GIMME GIMME HAIRRRRRRRRRR WHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!

Why, Oh Why Do I Attract The CRAZIES?

Or do they seem to attract me? 

 I decided that I would spend a teeny amount of time showing my friends and family that I care, and telling them exactly what I think, if you dont like it GET THE HECK OUTTA MY BLOG SPACE... Its my space and I can do what I want with it ok *pokes tongue out in a very childish fashion* (see previous post about MEMEME)...

 I've been in SL for just over 4 long and rollercoasterish years, involving many ups and a lot more downs, but there are a few people that have surfaced and remained throughout all the stinky poop that surfaces every so often... 

ROLL CALL TIME (in No particular order): 

HELLBONE - My favourite DJ in SL (yea ok there's bias there), the crazy dutchie who swept me off my feet and literally moved me... He became Real life after such a short amount of time, but with him the rollercoaster of man hunting in SL has ceased, I feel calm, relaxed, safe and protected and a lot of that is due to him... though Marilyn Manson also has a part to play in this... Guess I better thank him too LOL... 

FLEDGE - Big sister, Gold Dragon, Queen... Wouldn't still be in SL if it wasnt for you, you're definately my grounding influence, my shiny star that has kept me sane for so long... They say all that glitters is GOLD... they definately had it right... SL seems to glitter when you are around to share it with - COME ONLINE AGAIN SOON!

MINXALICIOUS - I have to say you have become one of my bestest friends evah... Alongside my sisters, you are someone who has supported and helped me through some tough times, you laughed with me (mostly at Zak) and have become someone I will always share my shopping secrets with... Logging into SL isnt the same without you in my IM atleast anymore! 

IMMA - The Wickedest, yet Smexiest Witch in the World, my sister and someone who used to steal clothes from my SL closet... I had to become a skank thanks to you LOL (believe that and you will believe anything!)
ZAKKIE - Stinky Big Brother, that seems to have had a SL make over to make himself look more like me LOL, he started out as a tea bitch then got promoted to my brother... Was I drunk?
VIXXY - CRUMPET, Geordie Confucious, Kick Ass Djane, Heart of Gold, Language of a Fishwife... Bestie!

FIREY- Firey goodness in every drop, Not in SL enough anymore which sucks...

NOAH- Wifey, a very drunken night and a meeting with Elvis, if only we could remember it!!

NOA- EUROVISION DRINKING BUDDY, although you are so far away, Eurovision wouldnt be the same without you...

There are so many other people I wanna include here but the list would be endless... The family I have in the Order of the Gold Dragon (Smoozle, Infy, Pamallamadingdong, Snatty, Lollie, Kage) you are all so important to me, I dont get to speak to any of you that often but you are always in my thoughts... 

This list could be endless... Just because you arent in the list on the blog so far dont think you have avoided being the centre of attention hehe - You will ALL be named and shamed at some point!!!!

Well, I Never!!!

Ok well... I guess I should say welcome to my blog... I never thought that I would have one of these, in fact I used to laugh at people that did have them. I always thought that it was a way for those with nothing better to do to have somewhere to bitch to the world, somewhere they thought that their voices actually made a difference, yet here I am, creating my own... 

Blogs seem rather strange things, they are MEMEME focused expression spaces, and unlike other sites, LJ for example, which I always believed to be more about bringing people with similar interests together, the blogging world was all about the LOOK WHAT I DID AND WHO I WANT TO BITCH ABOUT... 

Yet, I began thinking, I am not in Secondlife as much as I once was, I am finally settled with the fairytale that I wanted... My partner in world, HellBone Barbosa, is my partner in Real Life and honestly, I couldn't be happier... So why start a blog? Well I guess I wanted a bit of the MEMEME, I want to share my thoughts, feelings and maybe even sometimes my favourite stores, outfits and other such stuff... PLUS I wanted a place to be able to show off my rubbish skills at photography and to let my mates, and they know they are, know just how fun life with them is... Through blogging, maybe I can do that! 

Or knowing me, it will end up a random pile of rambled crap?! 

Which actually seems a bit more likely! Hold on to you hats ladies and gents, the blogging of Rudh's Random Ramblings has begun... *cue crazy lady type laughing*
