I am running so unbelievably late... That never happens to me, I'm always ready and on time, and more often than not I'm early for everything! Just today for some reason, maybe it's because it's Sunday, I'm more than a little delayed!
Tonight I'm crossing a gig from my bucketlist - I have a separate list for concerts that I wanna see if you can believe it - I'm really excited as tonight HellBone and I are going to see Tenacious D! I'd be more excited if I wasn't running late lol, but oh well these things happen hehe...
When I lived in the UK most of the gigs I went to were in the center of London, and therefore we were herded like cattle into the underground after they were finished! There was always a buzz about getting into the underground trains that were packed full of people... Now days, I'm glad that Hell likes to drive to the gigs in Amsterdam, but back then it was a massive part of the concert experience that I look back on with happiness tinged with more than a little anxiety!
So for a somewhat look-of-the-day I'm going to take a trip on the Jubilee line down memory lane and share with you an outfit that would be awesome for concert going... I let my mind wander away to far away places today... Drifting back to thoughts of the course that I studied during my days at University, the days when I had aspirations of becoming a world renowned archaeologist. Running excavations in far flung places and finding the most amazing reminders of the past... My mind wandered, and I ended up in a beautiful desert location, with an excavation to find the fossils of an unknown dinosaur...
I know that Archaeology is human, and Paleontology is Dinosaur - but I've been rewatching the old episodes of Friends so blame Ross - but I fell in love with the way that my excavation site started to come to life... Like something out of the old photographs of when Howard Carter and Lord Carnarvon excavated for Tutankhamun!
The site was actually a combination of things to give it that amazingly - almost Moroccan - feeling... After the Trompe Loeil Teigen Glamping Tent was set up, I threw so many items from the Petite Mort Zingara Collection around to make it feel soft and cosy, whilst remaining cool and shaded! Lastly, and well because it wouldn't be a good excavation without a few tools, I added some of the Fossil Hunter collection from Consignment and it felt perfect... Ready!
All it needed was a cute and light outfit and I was ready... Thank you Belle Epoque - for the Anne dress - and Lassitude & Ennui - for these awesome boots!!!

I felt like doing something that shared a little emotion today... I'm feeling worn down and tired, a little on edge and ready to crack, but because it's still February, and therefore still the month of love, I have tinged my sadness with some bright red roses just to give it that seasonal feel.

UGHHHHH sometimes being an Adult is not fun. Not only are the chores you hated doing as a kid mandatory suddenly, but the stress is REAL! Would it ever be possible to turn back the clock and relive those days when all I had to worry about was "where was barbie's lost shoe?"
I'm in a bit of a grumpy mood and it's all Adulting's fault since I'm having to work SO MUCH in RL at the moment. I'm working over 50 hours a week, every week, and it's beginning to take a toll on my stress levels... So much so that when I was happily playing with my Barbie, her hair wouldn't stay right so I got mad and...
POP... My doll's head came off in my hand... Maybe I'm channeling my thoughts regarding annoying customers in the shop I work in, I don't know, but POOR BARBIE!!!
Basically though this is one of those super quick, look-of-the-day type things because I LOVE the outfit I have on and well I LOVE this Dolly too! The Doll is a "Broken Doll" from Sakura, and as well as being two posed parts of the doll you can customize it by changing the hair and skin colours! I LOVE THAT, course I stuck with blonde as that's Barbie's natural shade LOL...

The day after Valentines day... So many people are basking in the romance still, especially since the hearts and flowers day landed on a weekend! Yet there are some of us that just feel like we wanna break stuff... Nothing important, for me, his car will do...

HAPPY VALENTINES DAY! It's a holiday that I'm really not a fan on, but sometimes you cannot help but get swept up in the festive feeling. Today I'm all about hearts and romance and soppy cute stuff, even though I tried to be an Anti-Valentine, somehow everything got twisted and there was FAR too much cute stuff covered in adorable little hearts that seemed to follow me everywhere I went! I guess I got struck by one of cupid's arrows or something... I was fully prepared to do something dark and twisted today, but well... This happened...
You can see I was decorating for something a little dark and macabre, and very Anti-Valentine. These amazing balloons - from Angelic Designs, available as a last day today at Necrosis, were being scattered around liberally to show people how I really feel about Valentines, along with me grabbing a can of "Not Today Cupid" from NOIR. When suddenly these far too cute to be real, little Cupid Bunnies - from MishMish - appeared and started shooting their little heart arrows everywhere. It was like I had a target on my body - from MooLoo -, they seemed to hit again and again - which would be a good horror story really - and the Anti-Valentines me was suddenly filled with a weird desire for hearts and pink!?!

This week is Valentines Week... The day that's been commercialized as a day we're meant to show love is coming this Friday. I've said it before and I'll say it again, I LOVE LOVE but don't think it should be limited to something that we share one day a year! If you love something or someone then SAY IT!
That having been said though, it's something that you cannot seem to avoid at this time of year, EVERYWHERE is full of hearts and flowers - even the places that are dark and depraved... Places like Necrosis, and even allowing the dark lovers to share their love, in their own twisted ways...
By February 14th, the current round of Necrosis will be coming to a close. There are so many goodies that I've yet to share though, I feel like time is running out to spread the love before the little cupids get there and get all the fun!
Today's dip into the Necrosis box saw me pull out a little of the dark glamour. Something that could easily make a perfect date night look for those with the dark in mind... I was drawn to aspects of this outfit like a moth to a flame... The Little Bat Love Carvings on my chest and the Misschevious release which shows "Every Rose Has A Thorn" my own face being the thorn of course, pulled me to them with such force that I was powerless to stop it! Then as if by a little dark valentine magic, the rest of my outfit simply fell into place... An Arabella Lace Top - from Infernal Alchemy - seemed to work wonders, almost a perfect match, with an old pair of N-Core Heels I had and when topped with a messy updo... PERFECT VALENTINES LOOK... Just a shame I have no where to go, and no need to dress all pretty!

I've been told that sometimes I swear like a Sailor. I have no problem cussing, and will shout the words from the rooftops if I have to. I LOVE to be able to cuss, it's such a good way of releasing tension and it gives me cause for giggles sometimes - especially when my RL father tries to tell me off for it, when I'm 33 - but there are times when you really wanna cuss but can't due to the surroundings or situations... It's so hard not to drop an F-BOMB!
I'm having one of those times a lot at the moment, everywhere you go in SL all the events and shopping are geared towards hearts and flowers, romance and couples... Now I know I'm in a couple, but we're NOTHING like Valentines romance... So I'm about ready to drop an F-Bomb - it won't stop me shopping, I'm still spending lots on pretties, but yeah... It's F-BOMB time!
Luckily, at the upcoming round of EBento, Kay Weston of Image Essentials has come to the rescue. She's created a couple of poses - male and female versions - so that we can do just that, drop the F-Bomb I mean!

It's Friday, and I'm finally able to unwind a little after a busy few days in my RL, but part of me just feels like hiding away and the thought of being sociable just makes it worse. Today has been a cold, dark day - a real February kinda day when the dark draws in the Spring in March... So I've been hiding away, wrapped up under a blanket reading a book while not feeling so great, but there was something missing... I finally realized what it was when I flipped on the TV... COLOUR! I needed something bright and cheerful to lighten my mood... Luckily I had just the thing in mind, something bright colourful and even with a little Afterglow!

Today is HellBone's RL Birthday, but it's been a cold, wet and blustery day here in the Netherlands, so it's been kinda nice having a lazy day at home chillaxing - and of course being a slave to his every command LOL - but the windy weather made me feel like doing something a little breezy in SL too, without the cold wind and rain... Hence why I found myself exploring a very pretty beach at Gentle Breezes and almost losing my scarf in the wind as I explored!
As I walked up the hill the wind was rolling off it towards the sea, and it was there that I almost lost my scarf to the elements... Luckily I had a tight hold on it, or it would have definitely gone with the wind... Blogging for me is a form of therapy - it helps to clear my mind of the stuff I'm over thinking about and focus on something productive. I love the planning and creation of pictures, I love the time thought writing up something interesting. I LOVE more than anything when I can slip into a picture which I really enjoy - no matter if others agree - I will always create what I enjoy and if other people appreciate it then GREAT!
Sometimes though it's also fun to slip outside my comfort zone... Sci-Fi is one of those genres for me, since I've had a terrible phobia of aliens I tend to avoid the style just on the off chance but sometimes, things fall into your lap and you find yourself lost in space...
