Today is May 31st and Pandora's Box is closing itself tight once again... It's first opening seems to have been a brilliant success and it's unleashed some weird and wonderful things - not all of which I've been able to share I will admit, but wouldn't that be spoiling all of the surprises?! - but for now it will once again remain dormant... Sleeping until it's opened once again on June 22nd. Let's raise a toast to a successful first opening shall we? A toast and congratulations to all of those people involved... It's been wonderful to witness such a grand opening of a dark and interesting little box...
Of course, as it's Pandora's Box and things are meant for the alternative, there is no Champagne in this toast, only Absinthe - provided by AsteroidBox - is a drink that's good enough for the evil Pandora! This decanter looks so perfect placed on The Beauty Within table - available from peaches at Whimsical - that this outer beauty couldn't resist raising a toast herself. Never fear however, if you missed the opening of Pandora's Box you can still get your hands on all the goodies it contains. Soon the group will be emptied so that subscriptions can start for the new month - the box will open again at the end of June and if you've signed up before the opening date the cost will be 1500L - but you can still get your hands on this month's box by visiting the Pandora's Box HQ in world. Pandora's Box has been open for a few days now and the Monsters within are still crawling into the light... There are so many pretty things within this month's brand new alternative lifestyle themed Loot Box, that it's simply chaos as they all try to reach for the light at the same time! This monster made it out without trouble though, she's a demoness, a queen of sorts, and one that seems to be trapped in some kind of agony... Crying draconic tears of pure gold...
Taken in one of the dark cave sets at WHOLE WHEAT, this is a photo of that rarely seen draconian demoness... On her head she wears the Yokai Immortality Headdress and horns, to show off her rank as a queen, a thought that is made clearer by the large black diamond that is worn within her PEACHES Myrsella Choker - both of which are available in May's Pandora's Box by the way. It is, though, her golden RobotEyes - from Nightmare at Genre - that are shedding the CURELESS Dragon tears, which make you feel the pain and loneliness that she's feeling... It's a little hard to see, so I was able to catch a close-up, but while you're that close please give her a hug... She needs it!!! I'm having a lazy Sunday. It's HOT here again today, although not as hot as it has been so I'm working a bit harder than I have to get things ready for a trip back home to visit my parents! It's a proper work out in this heat though, I'm working up a sweat and everything!! Have to keep stopping for cold glasses of water! I've never really been keen on the gym, I know that some people love it but for me it's not something I'm very keen on... Rudh on the other hand is OK there, she's a bit of a freak about most things and likes being fit as she's gotta keep herself looking awesome, but some days, her and I have a very similar attitude to things...

It's HOT today... So hot it feels sweltering and stifling and oppressive almost... Ideally, I'd like to be sitting somewhere cool, in the shade and the breeze with a cold drink in my hand but unfortunately no such luck. I have to work, and that's all there is to it, so I'm stuck behind my PC - yes I'm working here in my underwear LOL - and I feel stuck... Going to share with you an image I took of Rudh, in a similar predicament. It was something that I was working on while I felt artistic one day, and I'm not sure what people will think, but I personally love it!!! Trapped somewhere strange and foreboding, poor little Rudh is being held hostage by some weird cyborg like creatures... All she can do is cower behind the glass of the cage that they put her in, and hope that she can withstand the heat!
I'm not responsible for the set of this photo, the setting is one of the awesome photo locations at WHOLE WHEAT and yes I am a little bit addicted to using their sets, but that's because they are so very well put together, and are free for everyone to use! Her warrior like outfit is made up of a collection of different mismatched things, including something from the SOON TO CLOSE round of Memento Mori - in fact it may have even just closed as I write this - which is this awesome Strappy Mess - from le fil casse - that wraps around your body to cover all the naughty bits. Over the top of the straps, for a little more protection - although it too doesn't cover very much - is the Kaithleen's Chain Mail Armor. She dresses herself with some Infierno Heels that will be handy in war, and a Cureless Mask to mark the Twelfth Night of battle. Something so fearsome it would scare even the bravest opponent. That little playtime yesterday unleashed something dark... My inner demon fought her way to the surface and now things have to come with a Parental Advisory LOL... "Warning this one is a bit crazy and cannot be tamed!" It's a lovely sunny but cool Sunday here in Holland, but I'm not really finding myself able to enjoy it. Last night I did not get enough sleep, and I'm suffering with a feeling of needing to wake up today. I cannot wait until it's bedtime. Still it's time to make the most of that lovely Spring weather I guess... Spring is such a pretty season with all the plants coming into flower. There is an abundance of colour and fresh scent and it's just lovely. So with that in mind, today's post is a spring pretty!!!
All kinds of different things are used to influence my random stylings... Today it's the turn of some gorgeous forsythia flowers. The collection of Forsythia Flowers is a gacha set from LODE - it also includes a different headdress and some decorative display pieces. They are just so pretty and such a lovely colour that I couldn't resist doing something with them hehe... Then to go with the flowers I needed a pretty outfit, something light and girlie, that's when this dress and swimsuit came into their use. The dress is one called Raini - from Aluetia - which I decided to wear over a new swimsuit from CHAIN. They seemed to work really well together as an outfit, and when you add the flowers it was just perfect - add to that the gorgeous location at Luanes World and VOILÀ pretty look of the day, thank you very much hehe... I'm one of those people that creates lots of different looks and photographs them so that I have all kinds of different things ready to ramble on about depending on my mood. Today though is one of those days when I'm looking at all the pictures, thinking to myself "what the hell do I wanna blog today?" I KNOW I wanna do something, but I have no idea what, so you're getting a random look of the day out of me today and I hope that you like it LOL... I know I love what I've chosen, maybe you will too?! It's something a little bit dark, a little bit macabre but also in a weird twisted way, it's kinda cute too... It's also making me sing songs from Disney's Alice in Wonderland - the original - about Painting Roses Red LOL...
The look was one that started because of a dress. A dress by a designer that was taking a bit of an SL design break, but couldn't resist dipping her top in the water again for The Dark Style Fair - which runs until May 22nd by the way. I cannot say that I blame her, I mean I get itchy when I don't blog, so no wonder she came out of design hiatus to create a little something that scratches that itch! OK, enough rambling, the dress in question is one by adoness called Mortalia. It comes in a range of different colours - on black but the colour variation in in the Roses just so you know - and it features an adorable skeleton and rose design, which as you may have guessed is where the rose thing came in LOL... Then I simply had to accessories with more roses, including the awesome "All I see" Eye Accessory from Ama, which you can also get your hands on at The Dark Style Fair, and some pretty roses that accessories this La Bella Donna Hair from Clawtooth. It was at that point that I decided I needed to hunt for a background... I found the perfect place. It's a little wedding chapel tucked away down a back alley at WHOLE WHEAT and it's FULL of roses!!! It was a match made in heaven for my outfit LOL... One last thing before I leave... Am I mean enough to share the Alice in Wonderland song that's been stuck in my head since I made this picture?? YES, Yes I am!!!
It's amazing how much the weather can change at the moment. Close your eyes for a nights sleep and it can go from blisteringly hot to somewhat chilly without a moment to pause in between. Last night was so bad, that I ended up suffering with a little heatstroke and migraine by the time I went to bed, and this morning - in fact all day today - it's been bearable and not over hot! Bit scared to go to sleep tonight, I might wake up tomorrow and see snow at this rate LOL... Still from yesterdays trip to the beach, today Rudh has again been inspired by the change in the weather and she's now somewhere cold, dark and windy!!
Still a beach, but a beach that's not so bright and sunny at least... There's a strong breeze in the air, at least there was when she visited Jacks at NorderNey, and her inner demons are being called out by such a strong natural force, hence the change in her looks... The wind blew hard through her hair - which is actually a Pink Hustler Disordered Hair Style by the way - so hard that the colour was blown clean out of it while at the same time knotting it around her horns. The horns and her eyes in fact are new releases from Nightmare - for the current round of Memento Mori that runs until May 27th. The Thilrae Horns are naturally textured demon horns, each colour with it's own ability to change the colours of the metallic jewellery that adorns them. The Mori Eyes are really gorgeous - and typically my photo doesn't really do them justice so I will be helpful and include the store ad below too - but they are demonic eyes which come in 10 different colours that can be mix-n-matched or worn so that both eyes are the same. Now all the colour has been blown away, it looks like I need to go buy some hair dye LOL... Have to keep my hair looking red and feisty!!!

The summer seems to have finally shown it's pretty warm head here in Holland over the past two days and BLIMEY IT'S HOT!!! I know I shouldn't complain after the long gray Winter that we've had but seriously it's like the temperature has jumped way up and rather than being nice warm, it's humid sticky warm!!! UGH!!! I'm so not a girl that is built for the warm summer weather! Sunshine I love, but not the heat LOL... I'm going to take a leaf out of Rudh's book today and head to the beach!!!

Ladies and Gentlemen, it's time to get a little naughty... I know that shouldn't come as a surprise, but I've been a very good girl for a while now and I want to let out some of the naughty before it explodes out of me with a bang! Aside from the fact that she has no problem getting naked and showing off to anyone that will dare to look, there is a real reason for her being naked today. Two awesome new things came into my possession and I'm showcasing them now, even though it's kinda a flashback to her past as a stripper which I mentioned before. Showing Tattoos is something that I'm still really kind of learning about, but it seems easier when there is less of a clothing hindrance LOL... The tattoo on her leg is a newish release from Vestigium, which is available until May 31st at The Darkness Monthly Event, called Fractal. I LOVE tattoos that are fractal or mandala patterns, so this made me a little excited, and that's why I simply couldn't resist getting naked - well very nearly naked anyway - to show it off! The reason she is on a pole is actually a new release from a store I love too... This Dance Pole is a release from Violetility at ROMP for May. They made lots of fun new cages - one of which you will get to see in the next few days - but this pole with both dances for male and female dancers, as well as static poses was something that I played with for a while!! Ugh I think I'm having one of those weeks at the moment, and the week has only just started. I find myself feeling lost and confused and bored all at once, with no real direction as to what I want to do with myself or the time that I have... I start something then get bored and move to another task with no real focus and it's beginning to drive me nuts! I think being stuck at home doesn't help, I'm not used to it anymore after working as much as I did, and now rather than enjoying sitting behind my PC playing around in Second Life I find myself itching to go out into the Real World. Maybe I'm complaining too much... I just feel a bit strange... A little lost and maybe somewhat misunderstood...
Rudh is joining in on the Misunderstood feeling, only she is taking things literally... Miss Understood, is about right for Rudh and she definitely deserves to win the title of Miss Understood LOL... She's so confusing sometimes with her multiple personalities and characters, that even I have trouble understanding where she is LOL... Taken at the WHOLE WHEAT sim after her coronation as Miss Understood, it's kinda easy to see why Rudh may have won. She's dressed in a very pretty outfit - available from Oubliette at anyBody this month - but there are indications of things that show she's not just a pretty face and that there is a lot more craziness beneath the surface. A glaringly obvious example of that is that she's looking a little bonier these days... I LOVE these bone parts, they are a Sliced Torso from CURELESS and oh my gosh as soon as I saw them I HAD to have them. You too can get some, they are available until May 27th at Memento Mori!! There's just one more thing that I probably should add here as a side note away from my ramblings. The pose that I've used is a bit of an amalgamation. It's a Signature Pose called "I'll Try" but I wanted to show a little love as she just won the Miss Understood Crown so I actually used the Image Essentials Hand Heart AO Companion which made the hands into the heart shape. I hope I'm not going to get into trouble for mixing up pose stores like this but it just worked so well together, and it shows that the Hand Heart AO looks great however it's used!! She's beauty and she's grace... She's totally Miss Understood!!! Ahhhh Lazy Sunday... A morning of peace, relaxation and staying in your PJs. It's something that everyone should do, and something that I know I enjoy quiet a bit... Work comes later, but right now I'm going to be taking it easy lol! Have a very important wedding to go to later in SL, not one but two of our Gators are getting married - yes to each other it's not two weddings in one day - and so I'll be playing proud Momma Gator, but as I already said, for now, relaxation in my jammies time!
Rudh is going to be doing the same, but I'm not sure if you've noticed or not that Rudh is a little bit different LOL... As a living dead doll she doesn't even sleep like a normal person - choosing instead a sexy looking coffin, that forms part of a pose called "Dreams" from Come Soon Poses available until May 22nd at The Dark Style Fair! She's such a deep sleeper that even standing up doesn't seem to bother her,Count Bearcula can't stand sleeping upright but for Rudh it's not a problem apparently!!! If you look really closely you will even notice that the not-so-sleeping-beauty is actually drooling too!!! So attractive isn't she?! Although, while on the subject of The Dark Style Fair, I mustn't forget to point out this AWESOME Outfit by WONDERLOST. I'm not sure if it's meant to be Pyjamas, but you know Rudh's a little bit weird at the best of times! The Zoie Outfit from WONDERLOST comes in a collection of different mix-n-match tops and bottoms, and make comfy looking outfits for the girl who loves the darker side of life. It's great that you can combine pieces in your own way, it's letting us be creative and that always makes me happy!!! Can you hear that?? The wind is whistling through the keyhole of a brand new Loot Box that is coming to Second Life this month... There isn't long left now and very soon Pandora's Box will open to reveal it's deep, dark and most treasured secrets. Locked inside this gothic little loot box, those of us with a darker side will find treasures abound, from some very cool designers with a penchant for the more alternative side of Second Life. Today, I'm not planning on sharing the pretties that are the hidden contents, instead I'm going to give you the details so that you too can be the bearer of your very own key to Pandora's Box...
Let me start at the very beginning - because as Julie Andrews once said "it's a very good place to start"... For those of you that have no idea what a loot box is - where have you been hiding for the last 6 months or so - this seems to be a new craze that's gripped many members of Second Life, and like the Gacha craze there is a small element of chance with each and every box... Basically, you pay a set amount of money - in the case of the Pandora's Box the initial amount is 1500L - and are able to join a group, which you need to remain a member of until the box is released on the 22nd of each month. Then on the 22nd of the month, if you're in the group, you will be sent your very own Pandora's Box filled with goodies from 10 different designers - that you can see listed in the picture above - and that's where the chance comes into play, because there's a chance you won't like things inside, but there's also a chance that you will LOVE everything in the box... Risk is, you won't know what you're getting till you get the box!!!!! Isn't it exciting?! HOWEVER, if you decide you want to wait until things start being shown off by bloggers and designers alike, then you're able to do so... After the box is released on the 22nd of the month, the group will remain open - although the cost to join will increase to 2500L - and you will be able to get all the goodies inside! If this is your plan though you will need to hurry! On the 30th of each month, the group will be cleared and the whole process will start again for the coming month!! Sounds simple right? Something peaceful but I need to do something that isn't being stuck in the house today... I need to get motivated and I think that maybe a walk in the nature might be a good idea for me. Maybe as soon as I'm done here I will take my RL doggie out for a walk, but until that moment I'm going to get Rudh to do the same... It's walkies time!!!
I really, really need a holiday... I want some time away to just close my eyes and rest, and YES OK so I just went away for a few days, but it's been so busy that now I need a chance to just put my feet up LOL. Oh well, I guess I will have to make my way to the UK soon for some relaxation time! Until then I'm lucky enough to be able to put Rudh on any beach and feel like I'm somewhere exotic thanks to Second Life. In fact that is exactly what I am going to do lol, just get Rudh all beachified, and go get some relaxing done!!!
One of my favourite beach locations in Second Life is a place called Baja Sands - a location created by the awesome Lauren Bentham - it's peaceful and fun all rolled into one, and comes complete with the usual Bentham flair for design. She's really having a beach day - the sun and the salt water have faded the dye in her hair making it pink and she's wearing a dress that is both revealing and concealing all at the same time. Tassels are so cute on a beach dress I think, and OK maybe this new Nightmare release - called Midiv which is available at the mainstore - is not meant for the beach but it seems perfect!!! The dress is also perfect for revealing a new tattoo that Rudh got herself inked with from Vestigium. The Vinayaka Tattoo is somewhat tribal, somewhat ethnic and a dash native Indian, but it's a pretty pattern that covers the chest and upper arms and, even if I do say so myself it's a great beach summer accessory hehe... Now if only I could find someone to get me a fruity drink in a coconut?! Oh my gosh, the weekend just flew by and I'm now back home... I'm absolutely exhausted, but truly happy as I had a very magical - although there were a few hiccups - weekend. We celebrated my parents 40th wedding anniversary at EuroDisney as a family, and although the weather was a bit on the crap side - not mentioning the other hiccups - we all had a wonderful time. I've always loved how Disney makes things feel magical. I wore a huge grin, and even got a little emotional at certain points but after 2 days in the Magical Park and a 7 hour drive home, I find myself feeling totally and utterly shattered!!
I wish I could just spend the day sleeping, but that would be a waste of a day wouldn't it?! I have to get my lazy butt into gear and keep moving or I will not be able to walk again after the walking that we did in the last two days LOL... Though sleep really does sound much nicer right now! I'm so RL tired that it's even affecting poor Rudh! She wasn't allowed to go to Disneyland and now she has to suffer the tiredness too LOL... Still for her lazing around in her PJs all day today will be a little more acceptable! You have to love her PJs, they are a combination of some Cozy Shorts from Reign and this awesome slogan printed Messy Sleeper Shirt from [Fetch]. I was kind enough to let her have some Minnie Mouse Ears after my trip though so it wasn't all mean of me. Oh my gosh it's finally here, the eve of the day before I disappear for a few days!! I mentioned it before but tomorrow is the special family trip that has been planned for a while and it's finally here. TOMORROW I'M GOING TO EURODISNEY!! My parents are celebrating their 40th wedding anniversary on Sunday May 7th, and decided that they would like to do a special family trip to the house of the mouse. Dad keeps telling everyone he's taking a trip with his little girls, my sister and I are now in our late 20s and early 30s, but we're not about to burst his bubble - both of us are die hard Disney fans - even if it does mean we have to endure the Small World ride more than once LOL...
Rudh will not be coming with me though, I'm going to be MIA for a few days, and she was a little sad about it, but I made it up to her by finding an awesome Disney Tribute location in SL called ForeverLand. If you want a park of Magic, and have a craving for Disney, then THIS is the place to go to see the characters! I even let her get dressed up - though I have a feeling her outfit might get her kicked out of the real Disneyland... She found her top, which is part of a set of characters from a store called TOXICDOLLS - and as Pluto is Hell's favourite that's the one she went for. She punked things up with some awesome spiked jewellery - available from Suicidal Unborn at The Dark Style Fair, and even pulled on a pair of punkish Minnie Mouse Ears - from Dirtyland - anything in an attempt to get me to allow her to come too... No such luck Rudh, I'm going without you this weekend, but never fear everyone, not long and I will be back home! Right now though I'm so excited so I will bid you adieu and see you on Wednesday!!! Time flies! It's a phrase I'd heard a lot when I was younger but never fully believed! People always say "Time Flies when you're having fun" yet as I'm getting older, it seems that whether I'm having fun or not time is flying by. It doesn't feel like long ago that it was Christmas, and now it's already May and I'm getting ready for the super exciting family trip this weekend! More about that later, but while we're on the subject of time flying, I'll share a little hint and an awesome collection with you...
This look is one that belongs in Wonderland. OK so maybe it's not a true Wonderlandian Character but I kinda feel like a role could be created for her, just because she fits the style and idea. The backdrop is this gorgeous photo location at WHOLE WHEAT, that's all about Wonderland, and it just all seemed to fit together perfectly. The dress she is wearing is a Blueberry Cocodoll in Sky, that is available from The Epiphany. Though that isn't the only Epiphany in this picture. The entire reason that this look came about is all because of the store DISORDERLY. For the latest round of The Epiphany - which runs until May 15th - Disorderly have created a gacha collection called "Chaotic Clockwork". Shown here are the Halo, Head and one of the Cages, but there are other things in the collection that I couldn't show like a trapped clock cage, a cane, wings and tiaras! Such a pretty collection, but remember time flies and you don't want too miss it, catch it before it's too late!
