52WOCC2 - Week 40

Another pinkish, redish, somewhat neonish tone came up again this week... As usual the first thing that I do is put the colour onto the walls of a photo booth, park Rudh on a pose stand and think "dammit!" This one seems REALLY close to the two previous hot pinks that we have had and I was sure I wasn't going to have a third outfit in this colour... 
So OK I cheated a teeny bit and went kinda sorta slightly similar but not exact... OH MY GAH, AND... I HAD TO WEAR THESE FEET! I found them buried deep in my hoard and was like OH MY FREAKING GAHHHHHHH... How could I forget something so flipping awesome!

A Fierce Halloween!

YAY AUTUMN IS HERE... and that can only mean one thing... THE BEST HOLIDAY OF THE YEAR IS COMING!!!!! HALLOWEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEN! 
Sure I love Christmas, and International Talk Like A Pirate Day, but for me there is no holiday more fun than Halloween, even though I've never really celebrated it on the same scale as it is celebrated in America, to me Halloween is just FUN! Not to mention the fact that we all get to look a little monstrous in our RL and get away with it without getting weird looks! 
I've started my preparations early this year - I may be in England in the run up to it and may only get back on Halloween, so need to start early! - yet at the moment it's just hunting for a good costume that seems to be taking the time! For the last couple of years I have been pulled to being a Zombie and OK I do that a lot so hmm maybe it's time for something a little different! 
What about a Witch?

Fierce Designer - Sally Soleil - passed me a set of the new just-in-time for Halloween Witch costumes, and they are pretty cool! Rather sexy looking witches, but I guess as proved in my photo it depends on how you wear them LOL - they can work for the slightly mental witches too! For some reason I am struck by thoughts of Hocus Pocus right about now... but anyway! 
Each colour - and there are 5 of them - includes a full outfit (dress, boots, tights, hat and ride-able broom) all of which are bright colours and perfect for the modern witch on the go! 
I've managed to share two of the colours - Red Rudh Witch was not pleased about having to go pick up her insane sister Green Rudh Witch - although without the hats and broom! 
I'm also told there is to be a freaky fun Halloween Carnival at Fierce too, with lots of fun Halloween goodies to be hunted for and even a haunted house! So go check out the costumes, and get your Halloween started - you don't need to wait long... the festivities begin at Fierce on October 1st!

Hysterical Vanity

I know that the Twisted Hunt is coming to a close in the next few days, but I've just gotten my greedy little hands on some cute but twisted tattoos from Hysteria...
If you've been reading my my ramblings for any length of time you might have noticed that there are two sides to me, some days I'm rainbows and cuteness, others I am a dead goth girl of some kind - though most of the time I try to strike the balance somewhere in the middle!
One of my favourite stores in SL for the more Gothic taste has got to be Hysteria...The designs are not only for those with a dark side however, there are many things that would appeal to a fairly broad range of people. 
I love the tattoos and the spikey things that this place is stuffed full of... Yet when I saw these tattoos in the Twisted Gacha I knew I had to have them! 

These are the Seven Deadly Sin tattoo collection, and so obviously there are 7 different designs available - each with the demonic wings! I had a hard time working out which one to show off... I mean depending on the pose I chose, I could have used all of the sins so Pride got lucky hehe! 
Though I guess in many ways pride - or vanity - sums up a large chunk of the majority of everyone's SecondLives. We each create an avatar that we model to look a specific way, and then if you are anything like me spend a great deal of time looking at that dolly to make sure she looks perfect in the way you want her to be seen. I primp and preen constantly, have my camera on my dolly about 80% of the time and am always thinking "Yea I look good!" - Vanity coming through in truck loads!
However right now, maybe the sin I should have chosen to show off should have been Sloth? I feel like I could hibernate all winter this year!!!

Look Into My HORROR HAUTE Eyes!

I've already posted once about the Horror Haute goodies this month, but man I cannot get enough of these eyes and HAD to share them! 

These eyes are made by Dead Apples, and the Horror Editions are available as part of this month's Horror Haute. Each set of eyes includes normal and mesh versions, and can I just say that I love dead eyes as much as the next Zombie but these are my favourite that I have seen so far! 
These Sinistre eyes come in 3 different colour variations, each available in 3 different styles - but for me it was SO DIFFICULT to choose between the lifeless version (shown above) and the vampire colour - oh and not to mention the drowned versions! I've been looking for good drowned eyes for a while! I'm happy dancing in my seat hehe!
As I wanted the eyes to be the focus of this picture I put a simple dead girl skin on - I have far too many of these to choose between sometimes - something that was diseased to match the lifeless nature of the eyes, and then I remembered the wound tattoos from Souzou Eien - another Horror Haute release - that could be made to fit perfectly with the overall look I was working on! These wounds come in various options ranging from full face to just the nose... I'm wearing two layers as I wanted one eye and my nose to be damaged but the option of multiple layers means there are a few looks you can choose from!
I might be a dead girl, but I won't hurt... Look into my eyes!

Kill the Red HORROR HAUTE Light

YAY HORROR HAUTE... September's dark event line-up is ready for everyone to unleash their inner darkside - or let their outer darkness get their hands on more awesome goodies! 

I've been thinking of this picture as something borderline futuristic - I know that I am in the family garden again, but the story that was playing out in my head as I was looking at the items available for Horror Haute this month really seemed to stay with me.
I had this idea that there had been some kind of carnage that had taken place and I discovered the root cause of it to be this glowing obelisk which had to be destroyed! Don't ask me why lol - I mean the obelisk that I am taking a crowbar to is, in itself, a REALLY awesome and useful item to have - not to mention the fact it is gorgeous! 

The Tempest - by NeverMore for Horror Haute September - is actually a sim teleportation system, which can be set with landmarks and various levels of access... Who needs to walk when you can have a pretty teleporter to do the walking for you hehe! Tempest is available in 3 different stone types - Obsidian (used in my photo), Marble and Stone - and each of these has tons of variables including 3 different colour glyphs, 6 animations and 6 custom sounds!
I'm also showing off a Horror Haute Make-Up from Kre-ations, and a cute outfit from Lamp*Light called Hello Doctor. This outfit includes shoes and non-bloody versions, but come on I was fighting in the carnage (least in my head I was hehe) and so heels and clean were not going to cut it hehe...

52WOCC2 - Week 39

This week was meant to be slightly easier, as soon as I saw the colour swatch that Luna had offered as the colour for next week was an EXACT match of my busty flower babes that were sneaking up on Rudh in the colour post for last week. Least I thought that it might be easy! 
However, I was in for a shock... I use the website Chirag Mehta to get the colour co-ordinates, something that Fledge discovered a while back - but this site really helps to make sure you have the right tone, especially with some of these slightly more obscure colour names. Though there is an UH OH coming... UH OH the colour that was the same name as the one Luna posted was MUCH MUCH MUCH darker than the swatch... What was the one to use? 
I tried to use both LOL!!!

Under the Intriguing Sea!

Still on a must-play-with-all-my-Arcade-stuff style mentality... I have so much, like I am sure a lot of people out there do that I don't know where to begin with it all lol... However there was one set of things that I simply had to have and couldn't live without - OK so that is a little dramatic but ya know what I mean...
I am - well let's face it - I am more than a little obsessed by Intrigue Co... I don't think a release goes by without me itching to get my hands on the items that are put out, especially when posters are displayed on Flickr showing us what we can get in advance of being able to actually get it LOL...

AREN'T THEY FREAKING ADORABLE?! There are a few more - I have a complete set, took me AGES to get and thanks have to go to Miss Iokko Molko, the lucky lady who managed to catch me the last plushie I needed! I loveeeee these! I love the cute, kawaii feel they have and I love the way they seem somewhat like the Beanie Babies that were all the rage in RL some years back - their cute little IC tags are what made me make that connection! Angel the Angler Fish is definitely my favourite, but she was scared when I tried to introduce her to all the other fishy friends - hence why she is having a cuddle with me! LOL!
I wanted to highlight the skin I used in this photo too.. It's another awesome skin from Sugar - seems that Iokko has a magic touch when it comes to making pretty human skins with a slight twist. This skin has fishy scales within the skin make-up, and although I have overlaid the skin with the aqua coloured swirl tattoo markings, the face of the skin itself is something that has to be shown off more clearly! 

OH AND, as with every Sugar skin - available in the usual 5 different sugar named skin tones - this skin includes multiple versions of cleavage and teeth options PLUS extra layers for blush, freckles and dimples!!! YAY!

Who Shot Marshmallow?

Just a random picture I snapped as I was setting out my new piggy bank in the wendyhouse! 
I won a rare pink piggy bank from Sways, at The Arcade, and knew that he would make a perfect addition to the decor in my home. I try to keep it fun and like the kind of stuff that I would have had in my playhouse at the bottom of the garden when I was a little girl. No kitchen or bathroom for me - I do enough dishes and cleaning bathrooms in RL lol... 
As I moved my camera around to position the piggy in just the right position, I noticed it looked like someone had shot Marshmallow LOL... Who Shot My/Lynnie's Cat? HEHE! 
He was breathing and snoozing, but sometimes a snapshot can give you the giggles, hence why I decided to share with everyone hehe...

Sssh... I am not Addicted!

Unless you've been living under a rock, you should possibly have heard about The Arcade. A quarterly event of pure evil, in which some awesome designers offer prizes in gacha machines... Now I LOVE a gacha machine, but will agree with others that sometimes these things are pure evil. Normally I try to go in open minded, I would only attempt things if I wasn't fussed about what colour I got or what pattern, but sometimes you want full sets or specifics and THAT is when a gacha machine becomes pure evil! 
Luckily for the Arcade event I was sure of things that I wanted but I wasn't bothered about colour or pattern, until I saw the Intrigue Co Plushies... DAMMIT, I always find myself suckered into wanting as much Intrigue Co stuff as I can lay my hands on. Though, funnily enough, I haven't included them in this photo, but I do plan to do something with them later hehe... 

So yea I went to the Arcade with one of my crazy twin daughters... In fact Niki was already there when I managed to fight my way in... But as the lag was kinda crazy we split up and ended up passing each other things in IM across the room! I spent a smallish - make that largeish - fortune... I got a few presents for Fledge mostly, as she is a little anti gachas due to the evil, and a few extra things that I will possibly just donate to good causes lol... Yet somehow I was able to create a complete look - all be it in a colour that I rarely wear - using mostly gacha stuff! Well at least accessorizing an outfit in gacha prizes LOL! I LOVEEEEEE THIS LOOK!!! 

OH and btw - if anyone gets an Intrigue Co Octopus they want to get rid of... I WANT ONE lol it's the only one that I didn't get!!!

52WOCC2 - Week 38

This colour was HARD! We've had a lot in this pale, barely there range of colours that would fit quite well into any paint brand of off-white range! I keep thinking Magnolia, and then Fledge and I had a good laugh thinking about different "white" paint colours that would fit this shade. I won't be naming those we thought of in case they become something Luna decides to use, I just hope we get some more autumn tones now the season is upon us! 
I found a dress in this colour stashed away in my inventory fairly easily, yet it didn't seem to have much of that Rudhish flair I try to put into my colour challenge photos. As a dress it's pretty but I needed to do something that would make it fit the crazy style I have been trying to uphold in some of these photos... That was when I discovered the Sunflowers pose prop from Sparrowtree Studios, and the second look in this photo was born... Colour Challenge Rudh then had the strangest sensation she was being watched hehe...

Peace from a Pal

When you find yourself making up with someone that you thought was out of your life, no matter how things were left, it always gives me a real sense of peace!

Soph - now Qopi - and I worked together on Seraphim, she's still there toiling away, but at the time when I was managing the blog, Soph and I went through a rather big messy patch. She thought I was as much of a pain in the ass as I thought she was, mostly due to the fact that when I was asking her to do things she was too busy, and then she thought I was doing everything myself... What a huge miscommunication that was. Soph, I have to be honest, at one stage you pissed me off beyond all measure. I was furious about times I felt like you tried to call me out and make me feel like a bitch, but yet after I left Seraphim and shared with you the thoughts in my head that caused me to leave I have to admit that you've become someone I am so glad I can say I'm friends with again. We should NEVER EVER work together LOL, but least now instead of thinking you are the spawn of Satan, I can just think of you as someone who is as mad as a box of frogs (I love that old expression lol!). 
This bracelet, was a present from Soph, from the up coming Arcade event - which I personally cannot wait for as I've seen the Intrigue Co plushies... I MUST HAVE THEM ALL! Soph is in early covering the event for Seraphim, but apparently she saw this and thought of me, little did she know that resolving our issues has given me a real sense of peace, and so this bracelet really means more than just a fun prize from a Gacha machine should! For Soph though I have one thing to say, our silly squabbles are over *hugs* Nuff Said!

OMG! That's not a Hotdog!

Sometimes you find yourself collecting random stuff in SL. Sometimes that stuff stays buried within your inventory and never sees the light of day again... This has happened so many times for me, that I pick up some random freebie and mean to use it but then never do. It´s only gotten worse since I joined the group that accompanies the awesome blog - Virtual Vagabond.
Occasionally links to things are shared in the group that aren't shown on the blog, so it is a worthwhile group to be a member of. This FREEBIE is copyable, so you can send them to your friends, family, enemies, random noob you pass on the street - in fact anyone you think could use a good laugh/feeding LOL!
How could anyone wanna eat something so freaking adorable...

LOL - I'm sorry it's just too hilarious for words! I've had one that is a dachshund in my inventory pretty much since I joined SL, but this new variation is just brilliant! Who knew that food could be so cute!
FYI - I didn't harm any Meeroos in the making of this sandwich... It was one of those buy at the store then cook deals hehe... If only I'd known... Oh well, Hell said I wasn't allowed a Meeroo... Now I have two!!!

A Kitty on a Bench

I got inspired to make a pretty picture... I took some of the lovelies I had buried deep within my stuff to be sorted folder, that has become so huge it is bordering on a landslide warning danger zone!

There are a few things in this photo that I wanna scream about... Some things that I just have to mention. 
First the bench, this is a new release from [Circa]. The Parisian Bench comes in teal, and it was a prize offered as a part of the "If I were Rich" Hunt, that ended recently - although maybe the bench will appear on sale in the store really soon. I love the scroll-work design and the shadows that it creates. The bench is scripted with poses but as I wanted to lay Rudh out on it, in a somewhat vintage glamour style pose, I used a pose from PURPLE POSES rather than the seated poses the bench contains. 
Another thing that I want to scream about is this skin!! I AM IN LOVE WITH THIS SKIN! It is one of the new skins by Iokko Molko - the awesome designer, owner and sweetness behind the brand Sugar. The Cat's Eyes Skin range - like all skins from Sugar - comes in 5 different sugary tones, each with 3 different cleavage options with and without teeth, and multiple extra layers including blushes, freckles and dimples! SUCH a bargain, and I love all the extras, but the make-up on this skin is what sells it. The cute leopard print across the eyes, gives it a playful feeling as well as adding a twist of the sex kitten vibe... 
Then if that wasn't enough I found a new store I want to pimp out to anyone and everyone lol... Cute Poison was one that I discovered whilst I was Twisted Hunting. I will admit that I kinda cheated and just went through looking for stores I knew, liked or that had a cute name - Cute Poison was one of the cute name variety! SO GLAD I stumbled upon the store though, I freaking love this piercing and it may be my new "normal". The textures are great, and the prices are great too! I can't wait to see more of what comes from this store!

A Rose Fable

I've got my treasure hunting groove back! When I am able to get into SL I have been hunting like a woman possessed... I need to get my hands on as many goodies as I can - the more goodies I have the more I have to play with, though I don't think my inventory will ever thank me for it!
The Fairest of them All Hunt was one of the hunts that caught my attention recently. I am a sucker for anything fairytale related, and was more than a little excited to see what creations a hunt with this theme would offer.
Hunting for glass slippers, each at a bargain price of 5L, you have the chance to get your hands on some gorgeous fairytale pretties... One of my favourite items has to be the Rose Fable Tree from [Circa]. It just has that touch of fairytale magic...

Sitting in the sunset in the Garden looking through all my goodies, I realised just how pretty this swing is. It's decorated with roses, candles and even a little crow friend - not to mention the very fairytale princess style swing! I am in love with it!
Just to warn you though that the FotA Hunt ends on September 15th, so you don't have very long left to get this and all the other pretty prizes. The blog is an awesome place to see some of the prize previews and a list of all participating stores and their hints - check that out...

Guapa Shape from Ygrey!

One of the colour bloggerettes - Miss Ygrey Auer - sent me a present yesterday. A brand new shape from the store that she is restarting on the marketplace! 
Currently, her store Guapa!, is still on the small side - only the Adelina Shape is available - yet the shape itself, I feel, is really well proportioned and kind of elfin in style. There is a daintiness to the shape and a definite femininity to the features of the face - with some gorgeous eye shaping, very cat like... SO PRETTY! 
Ygrey had specified in a notecard that she'd tried the shape out with Glam Affair Skins, but wanted to test it with other skin brands. My normal, everyday skin is one from Ploom, so I said I'd show her what it looked like in a Ploom skin... So for Ygrey (and anyone else who will read this), the Guapa! Adelina Shape covered in a Ploom skin hehe...

Shapes are strange things though, I'd imagine being a shape maker could be fairly tough. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder and everyone loves something different - I guess that's why so many people make their own shapes. I love seeing how everyone can be different, and even minute changes on the sliding scale can create totally different looks. Personally I am not a fan of the down turned mouth look, or the wide hips and wide crotch look, or even the uber-tall stick thin model look, but then I don't really like Rudh's huge nungas either LOL! I still have the problem in that I was bought my shape 6 years ago and got attached to my face so much that NOTHING ever feels enough like me when I try on a new shape! Guess it makes SL somewhat more realistic LOL - I mean I have to dress for my shape, not change my shape for my clothing LOL! Does make Mesh a bit of an issue though... 
Anyway, Ygrey I like how the Ploom Skin looks on your Adelina Shape... Different to the way it looks with your Glam Affair Skin, but different in a good way I think! Thank you!! *hugs*
