Some people think that Sundays are a holy day, others look on it as a day to prepare for the coming week, I personally - and I'm not ashamed to admit it - feel like Sundays are a great day to be lazy! I always have so much to do on a Saturday... Groceries, cleaning, visiting my mother-in-law, all those tediously mundane must-do things, so when Sunday comes around I love nothing more than taking the day off - going on strike if you will - and lazing around for some me time!
Me time will ALWAYS involve some time spent playing dress-up and making photos in SL... My addiction must be fed, and well it's a great way to relax...

This amazing outfit is one of those things I wanted to play dress up in this weekend... It's an ImmateriA release - one of two that got my dress-up urges kicked up a gear - and the Aiko gown in this gorgeous creme colour took me back to the perfect photography location of Origami. It was here that the somewhat Oriental Priestess could step into her true role...
The Halo she wears is part of her priestesses garb... Her lotus shaped dress showing her status, but the hair... Well that is something totally unpriestess like - a sign of her love of all things modern culture! Her hair in it's two toned INK style, shows that this priestess really has her finger on the pulse of modern culture...
If you aren't into the creme coloured dress by the way, it comes in a variety of colours, so that not matter your style choice you too can find that ImmateriA Aiko in you too!!

The Mermaid Epiphany

Today is all about an Epiphany... Not just any epiphany... THE Epiphany... 
If you haven't heard, there is a new type of gacha event in town, and although it is as addictive as the various other events, this one has a bit of a twist... This time, you're able to trade in any unwanted items to earn points for special exclusives... I LOVED this idea, when I went to the event there were a few sets I HAD to have, so that meant I had plenty of things I could trade in... I was so excited, and OK I spent a fortune but the goodies were so worth it, and I have no need to worry about how to get rid of the things I don't want too YAY!!! 
One of the stores that has items available at the event is a fairly new-ish store called lunaBeam... The items from this store had me re-living childhood dreams... This time I was actually able to do something about them hehe... 

When I was little, and usually on a holiday with my parents, I had a dream of being a mermaid... Not just any mermaid, THE Mermaid, the one that Disney made famous lol... I wanted to be Ariel so much that sometimes when we were on holiday my sister and I would have fights about who was going to play Ariel LOL - the things you fight about when you're 7 or 8 LOL - but now, thanks to lunaBeam, I can re-live that childhood dream and play at being Ariel on the beach here in SL hehe... 
These sets are brilliant, at The Epiphany, you can win bikinis, hair accessories and flippers to match the colours of ALL of Ariel's sisters, with the rare items being those to match Ariel herself. Of course, I wasn't going to take being any of the other mermaids, I HAD to be Ariel, but I needed a companion... In the gacha you can also win rubber rings that are coloured to look like Sebastian and Flounder - BUT I chose this opportunity to go and grab myself another one of the awesome models from Characteristics!!! 
Anyway, as well as the awesome mermaid based items, at The Epiphany there is a special area in which designers have placed items that you can trade unwanted goods in for something awesome... So that you're aware, it's 25 points needed to trade in and you get one point per item or three points if the item is a rare! 
The trade-in item from lunaBeam is brilliant... Similar in style to the mermaid items but if you choose to trade-in for this set you get an URSULA themed set. Bikini - with sea witch tentacles - hair accessory coral and shell necklace, you too can be the wicked witch of the sea... Of course as Ariel was up playing on the beach I had to let Ursula play too, and she's been accessorising with fish bones today hehe... One in her !Ohmai hair - a donation of 30% of the sale of this style goes to help raise money for Wigs for Kids - and one in her special Skellyfish Balloon - from Half-Deer that can be yours for free if you hunt at Origami!

Thirsty Vampires use the Blood Bank

If you know me at all by now you will know that I love to play dress up... In my time in SL, almost 9 years of it would you believe, I've been and done a lot of things... I started as a stripper, I lived life as a vampire, a fairy and countless other magical beings before falling upon the way I am now - a living dead girl - but it's always fun to dress in something that you might not ever normally wear when it comes to taking pictures... This outfit is one of those things! 
I also decided to go to a place I've never had anything to do with before... The Bloodlines thing was such a craze at one time that everyone and their aunty was a vampire - it's why the gradual change into a living dead girl happened with me lol I wanted to be something different! However, I made a look and thought "hmmm where might a thirsty vampire go for an easy meal?" LOL...

I know NOTHING about bloodlines - apart from the fact that it gets a little annoying if someone strange asks to bite you, just an f.y.i if you're a hungry vampire and you want to suck my blood make it feel realistic, don't ask, jump me like a real vampire would LOL... 
It was the outfit however that pulled me into a vampire-ish mood today, not that it takes much to get me to do something blood related hehe... The outfit is a new ImmateriA release for a new event I've never heard anything about called Fair Play, but it includes everything I'm wearing here - dress, massive shoulder pads and the hood, which would always get my attention as it's more than a little Maleficent... 
The skin is underworld themed too... If you're looking for Vampire stuff, a great place to go to is this month's Genre as it's an Underworld theme... This skin is one of the new skin releases from Stargazer Creations, and it helps to maintain the fact that I feel Aggie is one of the best fantasy skin makers in SL... Her skins as always come with a million different things - OK maybe not a million but the box is stuffed full - and it includes eyes, appliers, with and without cleavage options - it's brilliant!! Though I will admit in this case I am not wearing the eyes that come in the box, I chose to wear an amazing pair of antielle eyes that you can win by collecting the gold coins at Origami! 
So if you're a thirsty vampire, maybe you want to try Bloodlines, or if you're looking for vampire fashions maybe you want to try ImmateriA and Genre?! Whatever happens, don't wait too long before you get that drink, thirsty vampires are dangerous beings...

The little Demon visits family

In RL I'm not the kind of person that is religious... I'd always told myself too that there are a few things that you should never discuss with people unless you know them really well - these things include religion! BUT Today for Horror Haute purposes I may be making an exception to this rule very slightly! 
Basically I put together an outfit which looked cute, and then whilst I was looking for somewhere to take the photos of it, I remembered the pretty settings surrounding the store Dimma. 
I found the perfect place to pose, and little demon girl me did a jump for joy but then I found myself thinking, "wait why would a demoness come from a church?" Then the thought occured that wasn't Lucifer originally an Angel and didn't he have demonic children? So perhaps she was just visiting her grandpa?! LOL... OK maybe I have been watching a little too much Supernatural again recently, don't kill me for that, but I hope you can forgive me for the sentiment in the photo if you're opposed to that kind of talk?! 

We can blame the ramble on Horror Haute LOL, but isn't this outfit adorable!?!
First of all, let's start by talking about the gorgeous dress... This dress comes from Aftermath Creations, and includes a pair of shoes and some bling that I've not worn here... You will not have seen this in any Horror Haute line-up before because this one has been created as a special release just for the event!
I decided to wear it with some really awesome simple black pumps from KRAVE - which would be simple if you can ignore the fact that at the toes you have a row of razor sharp teeth... They are Demon Heels after all hehe.
I kept my hair in a very pretty style, the Elikatira Kara style to be exact - oh and this one is a FREEBIE from Hair Fair just so you know hehe - and lastly, and only because she is visiting grandpa in church, she pulled on her favourite "halo". One of the Elemental Halos from The Nebulae - which you may have seen before as they have been a Witching Hour release from TfAtN which has now had a store name change it seems hehe... 
SO I start my day with what some may think of as a little bit of blasphemy, but I'm hoping that no one gets offended and instead looks upon it as a little demon who loves to visit her family.

Ohmai, I'm Under the Sea

Hair Fair is officially open and as far as I've heard I am counting my lucky stars that I was chosen as one of the official blogging team this year... I don't mean to make anyone feel bad, but I will say to anyone that would listen that when I was sent a group invite, I nearly passed out at the fact that I'd been accepted... Things like this never happen to me, and I only hope that I can do a good job for the organisers, designers and at the end of the day, the children, in my coverage of such a brilliant and well organised event! 
I bought a total of 7 different styles from the Hair Fair this year, that's not a lot in comparison to some people I know, but for me that's a LOT... There are some from stores I'd never normally visit, some that are definitely a little more fantastical and others that I loved just because they were cute!! 

This would be one of the cute styles... It's a new release that will donate 30% of the price towards the Hair Fair Charity Wigs for Kids, from !Ohmai Salon called Tako. All of their designs for this year's Hair Fair are Sushi themed, even the freebie piglet is a Sushi Chef... 
Now I will admit that I have spent the last few days in an outfit that I bought at this month's line-up of Collabor88. Yes it's fishy themed, so I will take a few fishy jokes after admitting that I have been wearing the outfit for a few days. The dress is one from Pixicat, an Aquatic dress that is perfect for a modern mermaid, as well as these awesomely fab tights from Schadenfreude! 
I accessorised with two AWESOME new releases from my favourite stores for cuteness... These stores always seem to go hand in hand on the cute scale and I cannot ever get enough of them... It's kinda like torture... Good but torture hehe... 
The Bag I have in my hand is one that you can win yourself ig you try the Origami hunt. I will admit that this hunt was a little bit too confusing at 7am when I'd just woken up and was there for the prizes LOL... I will likely go back and try it again but until then I can share with you the awesome Schadenfreude Bagged Octopus... The other,  and possibly slightly more obvious thing, would be the Shark! It's a release from SilentSparrow for the latest round of Seasons Story, which is under the water themed lol, and I got lucky winning this RARE Bloody Great White Shark on my 4th attempt LOL... You know me and blood...

The things in my head Monday Meme...

I feel in the mood to work on a Berry Meme this week... It's been a while since I did one but as she always says we can pick and choose and do what we have time for... Well, I'd pulled together a pretty photo but had no idea what to write to go with it... THEN Berry put up a Meme this week that I really liked the idea of... Answering questions with the first thing that comes into our heads lol... THIS SHOULD BE ENTERTAINING lol... 

Told you the picture was pretty lol... I am liking the pictures that I have been creating recently, I just seem to be getting a little better and this was no exception to that... Perhaps a little more girlie than you might be used to seeing me, but hey sometimes you have to step outside the box right?! I stepped outside the box - my photo box that is - and wandered around Hazardous to get this shot, but let's get on with answering Berries statement questions...
