I've been such a busy girl this year creating some weird and wonderful costumes for the Halloween Season and I've had such a good time doing so, but now that the big day is here I am calming down a little and will take a moment to rest and reflect...
Sitting alone in the dark at the gorgeous Gridrow Heights, I removed the mask that I've been hiding behind as my inner darkness could come out without being too noticeable.

Oh Deer... As it's getting closer to Halloween the Horror Magic is getting stronger and things are going wrong...
On a recent hunting trip some poor guy was stalking through the forest and spotted what he thought was a lonely deer... He lined up his shot and waited...
Then as he finally squeezed the trigger and the bullet flew from his gun, the Halloween magic burst to life and a flash swept through the forest... The hunter ran towards his kill, expecting to find a deer breathing her last breath, what he saw left him shaking with fear...
Laying in the exact spot he'd seen the deer was a figure, a woman, with deer-like make-up and a mask, draped in furs...
His mind fuzzy, the poor hunter felt a change in the forest, but what the heck was he to do... He scooped the dying deer woman up and loaded her into his flat-bed truck, speeding like lightening through the darkening forest...
Arriving home, just a moment too late...
OK OK so once again I got carried away and wrote a little story to go with my photo today but I cannot help myself, sometimes it just happens...
I put together an outfit due to a make-up and a mask, then found this location at La Vie - which is a beautiful place that you can actually rez on if so needed - it all kind of fell together, especially when I remembered this Levitation Pose from Image Essentials...
The deer look was formed in my mind thanks to a mask from Storybook that you can pick up as a prize in the Once Upon a Nightmare hunt, and a Dead Dreams Make-Up that is available as a new release at the Nightmare mainstore.
A simple, pretty Annabelle Dress from Vinyl, accessorised with furs from Foxes and CURELESS and the girl in the forest was complete...

Aside from the fact that October is officially AWESOME, there are things that always make me excited about this month... One of those things is the fact that one of the channels Hellbone and I watch on TV runs lots of programmes about Ghost Hunting... They always make me laugh and I cannot get enough of them, so when ID channel started Ghostober I knew I was in for a good giggle!
Another awesome thing about this month is that the Pulse Games open... I look forward to these every year, and this year it was a Birthright...
This year's "Birthright" Pulse game really didn't disappoint. They are so well planned and everything has that creepy edge that is perfect for Halloween, I thoroughly enjoyed doing it with my bestieface...
I wanted to use the location to promote it without trying to give too much away... So I went ghost hunting and had a rather shocking experience...
I had a camera that I'd picked up from Action at the last round of The Arcade, and some ghost hunting tools like this Presence Reader from HopScotch, and thought I was ready for whatever I'd come across... I was WRONG...
Standing in the darkness, looking through the viewfinder of the camera I felt a very strange sensation, it was like there was something playing with my hair... I couldn't quiet work it out... I will have to analyse the footage and see what we caught whilst ghost hunting...

Sometimes even the Living Dead Dolls are in need of repair... They get dropped off with the Travelling Doll Maker and he repairs what is in need of mending...
I think at the moment, today especially, I'm very sleepy and I doubt that he will be able to fix that but Rudh may be a little easier to mend. She looks to be missing some hands perhaps, and so she's laid out on the floor of the doll maker's office until he returns to help her out....
This idea formed in my head thanks to a collection of furniture and a gacha collection of doll parts... It doesn't ever take much to get a story flowing in my crazy weird brain LOL...
The furniture is one that I have been contemplating playing with for a long while now but never quite knew what I wanted to do with it... It's a set from Fapple - released for this month's Men's Department - that is called The Traveler. The set includes bookshelves, desk, chair and rug, with a few other things that are not shown here... Then to add that extra doll makerish feeling to the picture I decided to use some of my new toys from this month's Epiphany... DISORDERLY created a Gacha Collection called Abandonment, and it's DOLL PARTS!!!
Her joints seem a little bloody and her lips a little cracked - thanks to a new lipstick layer that's available from Ama at Cosmopolitan - but it seems that most important is a new set of eyes and hands are needed - I wonder where the old ones have gone? - they are currently masked by the blindfold from Maru Kado, and the stumps where her hands need to be replaced are protected by a pair of Maru Kado gloves - both of which are available at the soon to close Nightmare Event.
Now I know that some of these things are a little difficult to see, so like a good blogger I'm including a close up too...
I think it might look a bit better when there is a replacement to her body parts perhaps!?!

This week has been a Damn good week in the life of Rudhmellowen... I've been out in RL and spent a good few hours with some live Apocalyptica, and in SL I've been very creatively playing around with my wardrobe creating all kinds of weird and wonderful Halloweeny things...
Today I want to do a bit of a shout out about the Gators MC Halloween Event... Take a trip through the dark and depraved walls of Hell's Asylum to discover some of the nightmares that plague the MC and our members... I'll give you a little hint as to mine, shall I?!
There may be one or two little clownish looking people hidden in my nightmare...
It was the perfect excuse to pull on my new - and hard won I should add seeing as it's a Rare - dress, which is available in a gacha along with the gloves and a few other now shown items, in the MoonAmore Gacha at The Epiphany until November 15th.
As if the dress clowns weren't enough I had to have more clownishness... Accessories were the best way to do it... Starting up top, I had a wig to match the hair of the dolls on my dress thanks to Truth's Emika style, then rather than the traditional clown style I wore a katat0nik & Clemmm Gas Mask with a clown design... Love that it made me look even more crazy!!! If that wasn't crazy enough, crazy me carved some crazy clownness into my skin - thanks to The White Crow's So Much Fun Gacha Carvings.
Then it was off to the circus - or in this case a certain Nightmare at The Gators... A circus full of clowns, balloons and lollipop clowns even - a Rare prize from Lost Junction at Salem until October 30th by the way - I just wonder how long anyone could bare that horribly creepy giggle that permeates through the circus music...

Spiders have been a phobia for many people throughout the ages, and I know a lot of people are pretty terrified of them, personally I am not one of those people. YES I don't really like them, but I'm not terrified, Hell has to come handle them, but that's not because I'm scared LOL... Maybe you'll believe that?!
Still at this time of year it's good to start doing things that are a little horrible, and well one dress release leads to a costume and... TADAAAAA.... Spider Rudh!
In one corner of The Forgotten there is a spider lurking in the dark that will usually be found in Gator infested swamps...
She's tall, draped in webs which have been woven to make a beautifully ethereal dress - thanks to the United Colors - her friends crawl over her face and rest in her hair, as she calls the spiders to her.

I'm still well on a roll with my Halloween costumes, they make me so happy and this time of year calls for the weird kookieness to come pouring out of my brain... Normally I try to compact the need to be weird but right now, you're getting as much as my little head can give you, which is a lot even when you consider that I've had a migraine for the last two days...
Today the Devil child in me is getting out again... Taking her little Hell Hounds for a walk!!
Deep in the heart of The Forgotten is a series of hellish tunnels that are perfect for walking these adorable little Hell Hound Puppies... One day they will grow up into evil and macabre dealers of doom but right now, aren't they so freaking cute?!!
This outfit, the puppies included, are actually part of a set that was made up by a brilliant pairing of Tentacio and PSYCHO.Byts for this current round of The Epiphany... I want to take a moment to say YAY PSYCHO.Byts for being included in The Epiphany, it's awesome to see how much this brand has grown and I am still as obsessed with it as I was the day I found it a few years ago!!!
OH and while we're on the subject of The Epiphany, isn't this hair from Doe AWESOME!!! It's a release in their machine at the event and comes in Angellic or Devilish - each with the opposing style head accessory, angels get horns and devils get halos, that I admit I have decided not to wear here.
I finished the look with some thigh High Bax Boots, an AsteroidBox Collar and some seriously bad looking Burned Heretic Wounds - from CURELESS & DISORDERLY - that may explain why she's now stuck as a demon?!
