Let's start this week off as we mean to go on, with something crazy, random and suiting the way that my brain seems to be working at the moment... I'm back in the office after a lovely week of working at home - a wonderful week away from the depressing drudgery that is the office building I work in currently - and already it feels like the happy is being drained from me. Hence a need to do something random that will make me smile... Something like it was straight out of a crazy dream... Something like riding a dinosaur, perhaps?!
LOL Only in SL right?! To see a girl dressed like some kind of fantasy being, riding on the back of a T-Rex is just, well, Secondlife... It's as much a weird part of SL as someone saying "I've lost my ears!" BUT in Rudhland, it's true and it happens!!! My pet Dinosaur is not new but actually he's still kinda fresh out of his packaging... I'd said last week that I was working on Inventory, well I still had a folder of unopened items from past Gacha Events!!! He's a Dino Buddy - the rare Sharp Tooth to be exact - from JIAN and part of a collection of 5 different Dino types each in various colours... I have a full set of these awesome pets, and since I rediscovered them I've been storming all over the Gator Swamp riding my dinosaurs! Of course, every dino rider needs a prehistoric fantasy outfit too... Rudh is the epitome of cool looking cave girl today hehe... A dress that is actually a GIFT from Vitrimi, made of leaves teamed perfectly with some leafy vines for her arms and legs, as well as the Rare Paradise Collar from Remarkable Oblivion. The Skull headdress that marks Rudh out as a leader of her tribe of Dino Riders is an accessory that comes attached to the Arwen hair from Truth, and it ties the whole outfit together perfectly!! I went from being a Gator to being a Dino Rider over night LOL - I'm still a Gator but hey these members of the Gator family have bigger teeth than my own MC brothers and sisters... So question is, are you going to join us or become dinner for my pets? Heheh

Saturday was fun... Lazy but fun... I even had a chance to hang out with someone that I don´t get to see very often - Sussie - as we hopped around looking for randomly fun things that were going on. It was one of those good evenings, where we stayed up too late having fun, and now in the sunny light of the morning I am left feeling like I've been drinking, without actually having drunk anything LOL... One swift cure for that...
The sound of feet on the board-walk, a scream and a splash says it all... The best way to get over that sluggish feeling is to shock yourself a little... I'd imagine that this might have the right effect! In RL you'd never see me jumping into the sea like this, I don't really like swimming in the sea - no idea why just never been a fan of it - but Rudh is totally different, she's going to enjoy that cold feeling! Pools are better, in my opinion... Perhaps because there are less animals in them?! Though OK the picture doesn't really back that up as someone let Hell and Mongo into our pool LOL... TADAAAAAAAAAAAA... Today is bounce back day... After all that yummy Ice Cream I am now ready to kick some ass and take some names... It's good really, it's a busy Gatorish kinda day but I plan on taking things very easy this weekend and you know what that means - MORE PHOTOGRAPHY TIME!!! I have also been working on sorting some of my hoard... It's getting crazy and I still have stuff in there from pre-mesh body which I can never use anymore... This also has it's perks I have to add, you never know what you will find buried in a hoard!!
This dress for example... It's an older but still really cute, and great for the summer, crochet dress called Echo from Dead Dollz... I bought this AGES ago and totally forgot about it! When you add to that the fact that it went so perfectly with the EMPIRE Carnation heels - which again I'd totally forgotten I had LOL - it made for a very happy Rudh! Now because inventory sorting is a VERY lengthy process, and because I was getting more than a little bored of doing it, while I was in my new -oh-so-happy making outfit, with great looking hair I might add - the Grecia style from Truth for those of you that want to know - I felt a need to find somewhere new to explore! I found the perfect pretty place... A sim called Everlong... It's straight of a fantasy fairytale! That was it though, I was done with inventory sorting... PICTURES HAD TO BE TAKEN lol... I wonder if my inventory will ever be fully sorted as it used to be?! Yesterday was painful, but glamorous, like something from an early Hollywood movie... Today though, I am done with trying to look awesome... I am going to reach out for every girls best friend at at time like this - and I say every girl but OK that is a generalisation and I apologise for that - Ice Cream!!
The tears still fall but hey, when this girl gets some ice cream things start to feel better... It works the same with a cup of tea - the proper English kind not the perfumey stuff, has to be a proper black tea with a little milk and some sugar! - but right now not even tea is helping... I had to go for the hard stuff... Ice Cream! The Ice Cream I have here today, along with the toppings that it seemed kinda like blasphemy to go without, are items from the Banana Split Bar Gacha Collection created by The Hive... The Bucket of Ice Creams is a rare, but I NEEDED it, and so I become like one of those coupon queens with a shelf full of sauces for my ice creams LOL... The caravan - my third house full of stuff, a Dust Bunny Release I should add - has become my little bolt hole in times when I need somewhere cosy to hide... Full of soft furnishings and that cosy warm feeling, it's definitely the perfect place for me today!!! Being a woman can and does often have it's privileges... We get the miracle of childbirth, the amazing ability to become a superwoman with the ability to hear things we aren't meant to hear and see things we aren't meant to see, and heck even in SL women have more... Ask those men into fashion about shopping and I guarantee they will complain about how many events cater to women more than men! Yet one of the biggest downsides to being a woman is our monthly visit from mother nature... I'm not going to talk about it too much - I don't want any male readers to get squeamish, as I know that there are some people who still do - but seriously, you'd think in this day and age when cures are being sought for EVERYTHING, that someone somewhere could find a cure for period pain?! PLEASE?! I want to curl up and cry... I'll let Rudh do the crying for me though...
LOL Never do I look this glamorous when I do cry!! There's not enough redness, puffiness, runny nosing going on here, and she is far too pretty even when she's like me should be in a foetal position LOL... Rudh though cannot help it, she was made this way... Barbie wouldn't look like a mess when she cried and so neither will Rudh LOL... Moping at the windows - of a location that happens to be Dreams Garden - she looks the epitome of vintage Hollywood glamour. Draped in her gorgeous black silk Open Robe - from tres blah - her inky mascara tears soak her cheeks - thanks to Izzie's tears appliers, which yes can be used on LOGO heads obviously! I love everything about this look - seeing Rudh cry makes me feel a little better, is that weird?! - but my absolute favourite piece is this amazing necklace from random.Matter. The Tegrin "Crybaby" necklace is just awesome, and it makes me smile to think that I now have necklaces of doll hands, feet and even faces hehe... Call me crazy but it I just love that kinda thing! These necklaces can be bought at the new Dreamful event - which is a mixture of stuff for adults and kiddies - until July 22nd, and if you aren't interested in my chosen dolly face there are others to choose from so don't let the tears pass you by!!
Right now, it's going to be a warm day in Holland... But I am contemplating a hot water bottle and some strong painkillers, so I think I'll call this post done and will catchyalater! It's time to Rock'n'Roll... Back to work again with my second, SL based, job today after a lovely long week of not having to think about working in SL... I'm actually excited, I LOVE my SL based job, it's awesome to be able to combine my hobby and RL money and something I always wanted to have happen! It does mean, however, that today is a 12-hour work day for me but hey I can sleep in tomorrow and plan on doing exactly that... I'm excited and happy, let's enjoy today shall we?! Anyone bringing me drama is in for a HUGE ass-whoopin' lol... Time for something a little crazy...
It's time for some loud music - going to wake Hell up and get into trouble I'm sure but heck it will be worth it - and dancing like no one is watching... Perhaps I'll even throw in a little air guitar?! The Air Guitar poses were a past event release from Image Essentials and I am hoping they are now available at their main store, but jumping on a bed - not mine, it's one on an 80s set at Whole Wheat - playing an air guitar, who hasn't ever done that?! I've been creative as of late, over the weekend I took LOTS and LOTS of pictures and have so much choice over what to blog I am kinda spoilt. It's hard to make these kinda choices at the moment, I mean I have nothing in particular that I feel the need to ramble and rant on about this morning, so I can just choose any of the pretty and hope that you all like it too! SO this morning, it's something pretty, something random and something that for me feels like a little piece of art... I LOVE the picture that I've decided to share with you this morning... It's another cursed forest fae look - similar to the Flowers for a Dead Thing Fae from a few weeks ago...
This fae is all about the little friend she wears on her arm... What started with a look created by a Gift of the Guardians - yes the Gacha Event - from Static, grew and blossomed into the evil sprite you see before you now... The Caterpillar is a release from Static, as I said before, for the Gacha Guardians. Play their machine 10 times and you will be given a key to unlock this adorable little set - each caterpillar style is available as head or arm wear, and although the machine hands out singles, the Gift of the Guardians is a pair! The flowers in her hair are by one of my absolute favourite flower makers in SL... LODE have in my opinion some of the best flowers available, and these Wild Roses match perfectly with the colours of my new caterpillar friend... So that's my little art piece for this morning, I might post something else later on but I just couldn't resist introducing you to my new little friend!
