Needling the Dolls

So far I'm on a roll, though I think that tomorrow that's about to change as I won't be able to get a blog post done due to RL working keeping me out late... I'm not going to complain though, I am still going to make sure that every post counts where the monstrous me is concerned... 
Today I went out treasure hunting, I got to go to the local thrift stores in search of treasures, and I LOVED IT... Books, some random decor and even a couple of those weird doll animals - which HellBone makes look dead and then resells online - made it home with us, and it reall got me thinking about all of my old toys. Where are they now? I used to love some of my old dolls, I cannot find my old favourite and I hope that I never threw him away... Losing a doll could be dangerous... 

Certain dolls are fun to play with, certain dolls are dangerous, and I wonder which I like more... I LOVE the idea of a voodoo doll, I'm always a little daunted by them but there are some amazing stories, secrets and magical things to learn about them... Before I get myself to play with one, I plan on reading as many books as I could to learn as much as I can - set in a pose like the Idealist pose set from -Extra- that includes book props - before I even let myself pick up any kind of Spooky Desire Dolls - from KitCat - to attempt anything... Being a doll herself,will it have as much magical success? She's a Patchwork doll herself - thanks to the Sweet Thing Patchwork Set - and she's definitely prepped to be ready for the attempt of testing a doll herself. Primed with the Poppet Pins - from Violetility - and a some needles in her Niddle Collar - a gorgeously spike collar from Chemical Princess - but nothing will happen until she makes the first poke into the dollies chest...

Candies cause visits from The Tooth Fairy

Last night was the grand opening of this year's Gators MC Halloween Maze and as with every year I always end up coming up with some weird and wonderful costumes... It's my favourite time of the year for a reason, and it's not like I need a reason to play dress up... 
So this year I kinda dressed in the theme for the opening and to match my room but without giving too much away... 

Yes it's a Candy Forest and I'm a tooth fairy... I don't want the bad rotten teeth that have fallen out, I want the teeth that are still in your jaw... I'm taking those out... No Novocaine is needed!!! My pliers will do the work for me!
My costume is from Decoy at the new pop-up round of The Arcade... It's Bloody Wisdom and a gacha collection, I wore it with some wings from DRD!

An Evil Little Tooth Fairy

Ever woken up from a terrible nightmare only to find yourself laughing about it? 
I did that this morning, I was laughing so hard until I realised that it was in fact Monday morning and there would be no point in me going back to sleep for a mere 15 minutes! I was not pleased! 
Yet the idea of the nightmare has stuck with me, and I wanted to share something a little horrible with you this morning - tis the season after all!! 
So today, I am a morbid tooth fairy... I'm fluttering into your room at night and stealing teeth - not just those under your pillows though, OH NO I want them ALL!!! 

And yes I am stealing them from the mouths of little children MWHAHAHAHAHAHAHA... 
Sorry I get so into character sometimes! It's really not my fault though, I shop, I buy things and I find myself creating characters based entirely on these items. Today it was the turn of a new collar that I bought from Le Morte called Toothless - and yes I have included a close up shot below just so that you can see what I am actually talking about - but it seemed perfect with the older but still one of my favourite necklaces, the KOSH "Toothfairy Necklace", which was where my idea was born LOL... 
As soon as I knew what my character was going to be I started to make the blood appear! There was lots of blood! All over my dress - from Kaithleen's - my special gloves - from Jian - and the ball & chain which keep me trapped in my job! Though that might have been caused by the nasty scarring I have all over my fairy body - thanks to The White Crow - because I am allergic to fairy sparkles and the gossamer of my wings. 

Anyway, I cannot be one to complain, least the job keeps me busy - and fed - though the dinner I had a Crowley Hall was not enough... Time to move on to the next unsuspecting victim hehe...

Monsters in Masks

Something has been playing on my mind recently and although I am away from home I cannot seem to shift the notion that is burning there... So today to clear my head a little maybe it's time I discuss with you my thoughts on anonymity in SL... 

It always seems so easy for people to hide their true natures behind a mask in Secondlife. A person's reasons may vary, and I agree that in some cases this anonymity can be a valuable thing but hiding behind a mask when it is used to belittle and harm others is when things become less protective and more twisted. It's this kind of concealing of someone's true nature that is one of my biggest pet hates about the Secondlife world.
I could go off on a long rant about people wearing masks of anonymity giving them the power to feel like they can get away with saying and acting in just the way they please, but I'm not going to bother. I wrote the things I wanted to say and deleted them before I could post them, what is the point in fueling the fires and giving in to those people, giving them exactly what they want which at the end of the day is basically a form of control over other people. 
Instead I am going to say, personally I choose to wear my mask on the outside - with me what you see is what you get and if you don't like who I am then you do not need to be a part of my Secondlife - go live your own! The mask I'm wearing today is one that is available until the awesome Momento Mori event closes sometime later on, from the awesome designer that is Le Morte. I needed this mask it was calling to me... Tempting my inner demons! I'll definitely miss this shopping event until it's next outing. I REALLY HOPE there is another outing for Momento Mori - Congrats to the organizer team for putting it together!
