Another Monday can only mean one thing... It's a back to work day! By now you might have guessed that I am not overly happy in my job anymore, in fact I will let you all know that my job is a major reason as to why I am so depressed at the moment... I've spent enough time crying though, so today I am going to try to think of other things, nicer things, like having a party with you... That sounds like a fun idea right?!
Let's have a little party, something magical, something pretty, something to make me smile on a day when I feel like I'm stuck in Hell! We need some yummy food and lots of pretty decór...
OK, OK I went a little overboard with food and decór but like I said, stuck in Hell, I need something to make me feel happier... This makes me feel marginally happier... Now if I could only have it in RL please?!
Let's start by talking about the pretty things and then move onto the yummy things... To decorate I wanted flowers and sparkles... My invited guests dressed in their finest flower costumes - yes the guests were bears from Boogers - and brought me a bunch of beautiful Apple Fall roses, but it was the Balloons that drew most of my attention! I'd seen these on blogs and at Collabor88, but when I pulled out the pastel Fairylight Balloons from Half-Deer I was in love... Sparkles and prettiness, what is there not to love about these balloons?! I might have to go back for more in different colours!
I went a little bit bonkers on the catering side of things, especially since my guests don't seem to want to eat that much. Three different things to drink - milk, coffee and an awesomely zingy lemonade that I had specially selected from tres blah - and lots of bad for me things to eat too!
Everything was ready, except for me, so I slipped into a very pretty kitty dress, a Tied Cocoon Dress in yellow, from {sallie} and was ready to play the perfect hostess.
I now just need to hope that my day goes as well as my party planning skills... Or someone is going to be getting to see the angry monster side of this pretty party planner...

There are gacha events galore now days in SL... So many that sometimes it's hard to keep up... Fantasy Gacha Carnival is now on, The Epiphany just closed, OMGacha was a few weeks back, and the behemoth that is The Arcade is just around the corner but The Gacha Garden is the one that caught my eye recently...
There is some simply adorable stuff out there at this gacha event, but as per usual there is always one thing that I simply have to have, that I cannot live without now I know it's out there in SL and that I am willing to feed the machine like a gambling addict to get...
This time it was the turn of Moon Amore! Curse you for the adorable stuff you filled your gacha with... but OH how I love you for making these hehe...
The Moon Amore item that has me raving like a crazy person - which OK is normal but in this case I was far more crazy than was perhaps necessary - was the amazing PsyFood Gacha Items, which you can win yourself at the Gacha Garden this month. It's the fault of the Burger... I WANTED THE BURGER SO BAD!! Luckily due to the fact that it is a Rare, I managed to get myself a full set and then some - so if you want one and aren't picky as to which I can give you one LOL...
That opened a strange door in my mind to the idea of making a look that involved fast food LOL, and lots of it!
I wore a top from B.C.C that I'd had laying in wait for an opportunity like this. The Kata Tank Top with it's awesome slogan - which reads "A Balanced Diet is Pizza in each hand" - was something I grabbed at a past round of the Kawaii Project, but then when I teamed it with the amazing Junk Food Tights from Sugar Heart it just seemed like the perfect outfit for this fast food picture!
All it needed was accessories... That's where I seem to excel, especially when it comes to crazy accessories! I added a little more Burgerishness to the photo by wearing a Burger Time bow from Atomic in my hair and a Hamburger Bangle from CandyDoll, then to finish the look I gave a nod to my hubby in the form of this T-Bone ring from Lost Junction... Long story but T-Bone is his RL Biker road name!
The location couldn't be more fitting too for a number of reasons... ONE it's Gachatopia! If you're looking for something gacha related this is a damn good place to check. TWO it's the diner! Where better than to take pictures of food than at the diner?!

In SL, I was told I had to dress like a fairytale being and get ready for a PARTY!!!

I became a Birthday Cake Frosting Fairy...
I wore an outfit from dollle* called Melting Paint, but for this purpose I am going to say it's cake icing! The wings I had seemed to match it perfectly, and I LOVE these seriously pretty girlie wings from DRD. I have candles and frosting in my horns - from The Plastik - and Birthday Decorated Bunny Ears - from Half-Deer, as well as plenty of pretty accessories and tattoos... I LOVE this look, it might have a close up later but for now...

When I was at school the yearbook was something that was only available for the senior year right before they left for exam studies... Every year throughout school, we were subjected to a class picture day though, and MY GOSH it was a traumatic event every time! The simple fact that we all had to wear school uniform, which consisted of a blazer, shirt with a stiff collar and a tie, was bad enough I mean we all looked the same clothing wise, but it was the everything else that was shocking. The bad fringes, the bad glasses, the spots... It all seemed to come out on picture day...
Now I'm talking about this because a few weeks ago, Miss Strawberry Singh started talking about her Monday Memes again... The first for the year being a year book photo challenge...
SO, Rudh posed, in her everyday wear, and believe me, before she has been dressed up for the day, it's not a pretty sight...
This is what people see when they look at Rudh... A slightly over-worked, pimply Metal-head Kawaii nerd lol... This is what a real photo of Rudh would end up looking like in a year book... Either that or she would be caught sneezing!
In Rudh's head, however, people see the superstar, glamourpuss... In her head her photo would look a little different to the real photo. She'd be a model, a beauty queen or at worst just very pretty, but isn't that what every girl wants. I'm not a girlie girl but even I find myself looking in the mirror on the very odd occasion thinking "Wow your hair looks AWESOME!"
Sounds very superficial, but trust me I am not AT ALL... I know that the former is much more of a reality than the latter photo, in SL I may be able to live like a glamourpuss, the second photo being a common look for me, but in reality that looks like WAY too much work for me LOL...
