30 Days of Gratitude - Day 6

What am I greatful for today; 

1) Finding out people do actually read the random crap that I write here... I was thinking that most of the stuff I put up in this blog, with the exception of the colour challenge, was stuff that people kinda ignored LOL. Most of it is a heap of badly written crap with no real depth and is about as interesting as watching paint dry, but THANK YOU to the people that do read it *hugs*

2) Being asked to go for an interview... The Hash, Marijuana and Hemp Museum in Amsterdam was the place I initially applied for, but one of their sister companies, Sensi Seed contacted me asking if I would be interested in store work. I was like SURE, any job right now would kick ass, then I realised it's a store for cannabis seeds... OH WELL beggar's can't be choosers and it will be interesting to say the least!!! Wish me luck!! 

3)Finishing the story that I was writing... It won't win me any awards, but it is something silly for an upcoming post in the next few days!

4) Getting a HUGE long list of things I wanted to do DONE!... I love that feeling of satisfaction you get when you have everything you wanted to do, done! It makes you think "Yeah I didn't waste my day!"

30 Days of Gratitude - Day 5

What am I greatful for today; 

My Mummy and Daddy... I miss them lots!

1) MY MUM!... I know I should be thankful for her everyday, and I am, but today is her Birthday, as here in Holland people say Gefeliciteerd meaning congratulations to anyone who knows the Birthday person, I do feel that thanks are to my mum for everything she's ever done for me... and YAY Gefeliciteerd to me!!! 

2) Our local Vet... I hate saying this, as it makes me feel like a horrible person that doesn't take care of her dog, but Izzy has mange. Makes me feel dirty and breaks my heart to see Izzy so uncomfortable that she has to wear a cone all day to stop herself biting and making it red raw. Our Vet managed to squeeze us in for an emergency appointment at NO EXTRA CHARGE to give her an injection of a new drug that he thinks might help! Sometimes vets aren't just about money it seems! 

3) Being asked to help with some Archaeology... One of my old uni friends, Jude, contacted me today to ask if I would help her with some Medieval Pottery Evaluation and I am so excited. It has been a while since I have been able to get involved in any real archaeology, and as she needed someone who specialised in Medieval Studies I was her girl!

4) Having some time to do some stuff for me... I had a fairly quiet day as far as working for Seraphim goes, and so today was a day for getting some me stuff done. I made a ton of pictures, both just point-n-click style and with some photoshopping, and it felt great to have a chance to play with photoshop again and you will get to see the results later I'm sure!! Mind you it was done on Hell's PC. 

5) My USB Miffy... I know it sounds stupid but I am so greatful for my little 2GB Zip Stick (least that is what I always called them, you might call them a flash drive or a usb stick or something!) Since I am working on two different computers, Hell's when I get the chance and mine when I don't having that little thing helps me bunches as it means I can easily move from one to the other! Plus it looks like Miffy!!! There are no more reasons needed other than that! 

30 Days of Gratitude - Day 4

Things I feel greatful for today,

1) Hell won Concert Tickets... While he was at work last night at about 4am, HellBone won tickets to a concert in Amsterdam in October. The concert is a band neither of us have heard of before, AlascA. They sound OK, not really the type of music I would buy tickets to see, but as a free concert I won't be saying no, and as they don't sound bad it could be fun!!

2) Gacha Events... There is a new event that has started monthly in SL, called The Gacha Party... What a great way for me to get my Gacha Fix! I went to the new one today and won a necklace from Retro'. Though I went a bit mental at the Starlust one, I spent tons on cats and milk LOL!! Good Times!
3) Playing with my SL Clothes... In RL I am a big girl (and I mean really big not just a skinny person thinking that she's fat I mean big!) and clothes are expensive. In SL however, I am able to wear what I want and so today I spent time putting together an awesome outfit for the 52WOCC... AND I LOVE IT!
4) People who are willing to just listen... Been rather down in the dumps and bottling up lots of frustration. It's making me cry a lot more than necessary and it is making Hell come near to a breakdown too as he has no idea how to help me as is left feeling guilty! Step in my big sister Fledge, followed by my Daddy and the release has left me just that little bit lighter.

5) Antiques Roadshow... That classic BBC programme has been a huge part of my sunday nights ever since I was a baby. Mum has always watched it and now I watch it religiously too, I managed to record it last night, I am off to watch it now!!! YAY!!! 

30 Days of Gratitude - Day 3

Today I am greatful for; 

 

1) Random Cuteness that you can find on the net... I found this picture while looking for something on the net today, and tracked it to find out there is a huge collection of these FruityCuties available to download. I love the cute Kawaii style, pictures like this bring a smile to my face and lighten my day no matter what my mood!

2) The sun coming out... I don't normally like the sun, I mean OK Springtime sun is good but I don't like it when it gets too hot, today however the sun kicks butt as it means my laundry will be dry faster hehe!

3) Chocolate Eggs... I know it's not Easter for a while yet, but I am a chocoholic through and through, this time of year as well as a bunch of tulips on our main table I have a little blow of brightly coloured chocolate eggs - looking pretty and perfect little chocolate bite to take away any craving!

4) My AMAZING Bedroom Snuggle Chair... I sit here whenever I need time to think or feel sad, and it's my favourite spot to sit when I feel homesick, as my bedroom is the snuggliest place in the house! We bought this chair second hand, apparently it had been used on a famous Dutch Television Talk Show...
5) All the lovely photos I'm seeing in the colour challenge... You guys are amazing, your photos are gorgeous and like with every week I feel blow away by the difference in style, creativity and yet equally impressive photos that everyone produces... *goes off to look for more photos I haven't seen yet*

That's some Crazy Arse Hair!

The Crazy Arse Hair Hunt, renamed as Crazy Hair Hunt because apparently people were changing the word "arse" to "ass" (both mean the same thing but arse is the British version hehe), is BACK!!! I have been talking about this hunt coming back and the coverage I have been working on for a while now, but last night I managed to post it. 

There is currently a list of 67 Stores taking part in this hunt, although the full list on Seraphim only shows 62 as 5 were MIA, but all of these stores have the collective imagination of something so awesome that the world would implode in on itself for sheer level of creativity being too high... As you can tell I am pretty impressed with this line-up, but the collage would have been too huge to show them all, so check out the post on Seraphim for the other hair photos. Many of these designers don't take part in the regular events, a fair few were new to me, and a couple of them even came out of designing retirement JUST FOR THIS HUNT!! The styles are varied, and I am love with most of them, but watch out for them in upcoming posts because I am sure these will be around for a while hehe!!!

52WOCC2 - Week 14

Another week, another load of computer troubles as you might have noticed following my huge rant a few days ago, and another colour rolls in. I was thinking that I wouldn't get this week done, might have had to have been the first that I missed, OH MY GAH SHOCK HORROR... First off there was the issues what I was headbutting with my PC in general, but then there was the colour. First thought when I saw the colour was NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO lol, we'd had a very, very, very similar colour last round, some of you may remember the Patriarch week lol, I hated that week I couldn't find anything I wanted and so I had cheated. Now we were facing the colour again under a different name and I faced a long dig through my wardrobe. Surprisingly I found something, Blue Blood and the Horror Haute event came to my rescue, I had a dress that was perfect. Then there was only the issue of working out what I wanted to do with it... 

I was watching a documentary on Discovery Channel about Marie Antionette, for some reason it was on and I am a history geek so I was doomed lol, and I thought "WAIT A SECOND?! ROYAL, CAKE, I have Marie Antoinette Hair! SCORE!" The outcome being a look that I like to think of as what Marie Antoinette would have worn, if she was in SL, when she said "Let them Eat Cake!" I love that quote, I know it was a harsh time and the peasants had no bread, but that really sounds like something a fame hungry, wannabe, might say on modern reality television... LOL, oh and YAY FOR CAKE!!!

30 Days of Gratitude - Day 2

Straight in with the list of things that I am greatful for today, I'm hoping there will be lots of things hehe. By the way I'm not listing these in order of any importance, it's just the way that the cookie crumbled hehe...

1) LASHAE KARSIN (and the rest of the Seraphim bloggers)... I singled Lashae out for praise today because this woman is a freaking trooper. As per usual I had about a million things to get done today for Seraphim, but when I asked her if she would cover a sale for me this morning, she agreed and did it superfast even though it was 3am for her!! She's one of the Seraphim Super Machines, and without them I would crack hehe!!! The others rock too and they help make Seraphim what it is, without them it wouldn't be the same, so even though Shae is the one with the praise here, all the Seraphimers kick mighty ass!

2) When people just IM to say 'Hello"... People that I know but not necessarily well, IMmed me today just to say Hello and see how I was, that really makes you feel good inside. Sama and noelle, you guys really brought a smile to my face and all it took was a hello! Thanks guys! 

3) Hell working Nights... Don't get me wrong I love snuggling up with Helly at night, especially when I have cold feet, but I relish the nights he has to go to work because I GET THE WHOLE BED TO MYSELF!!! YAY! 

4) Crossing things OFF My To-Do List... I am constantly making myself lists of things to do, today I managed to get a ton of things crossed off my list and that always makes me feel really good and is definitely something to be greatful about.
