Sometimes I put on an outfit and think that I am going to do one thing, but then I end up wandering down a completely different path.
This was one of those times... I was sent an item from one of the awesome stores that I blog for and suddenly an anime character was forming in my head... I think it was the HUGE bow... I covered myself in blood, and fully intended to do something horrorifying...
Yet I ended up taking a part time job in the store where the shirt came from LOL...
OK so not really but this picture did make me feel a bit like the new girl coming to take over the night shift... I'm not so sure that the kitty behind the desk likes my bloody anime girl look, but I am loving this...
The HUGE bow shirt - called Bows Before Bros - is a release from yumyums for IDK this month... It comes in a huge range of bow colours and is perfect to rock that sailor moon style outfit! I accessorised that with a gorgeous pair of SilentSparrow Luna Antlers... The pretty butterflies adding something extra and the tiny BOOM Precious Bow Choker...
But that was where the pretty stopped... I had - for some totally unexplainable reason other than my mind is WEIRD - wandered down a slightly darker path with the look than I intended... I wore dark make-up, a splattering of blood which even covered my white Czarny Kanarek mini skirt.
Still the show must go on... One quick close-up snapshot for my employee of the month photo and voila... The Night Shift has started hehe...

I have Horror Haute on the brain at the moment, purely and simply because there is so much good stuff within the line-up it's hard not too... That and I've been wracking my brain for their blogging co-ordination - but that's a story which I will have to keep to myself lol...
The theme this month, as I have said before, is Vampires... Being a Living Dead of the Zombie variety in my day to day SL, somehow becoming a vampire was a bit like shedding a skin and slipping into another dead one LOL - which actually sounds pretty gross, but as it's Halloween this week maybe I can get away with it?!
The weird thing is though, for some reason I just didnt want to go all out creepy looking, classic pale vampire... I tried to modernise the vampire look without going all Twilight, whilst still keeping my kookie style intact... I think I managed LOL!!!
Incorporating Horror Haute into the outfit I was wearing seemed the best idea, and to do that I just picked out - from the HUGE collection, most of which you can see in my investigative post previously hehe - a cute shade of black Czarny Kanarek lipstick, you'll have to excuse the traces of my lunch however.
The rest of my outfit is non-Horror Haute, but I was wearing it around at home and liked it enough to throw together what could be called a look of the day post! The hair, complete with it's HUGE bow, is a TAG Gacha release from SpellBound, available in many colours, I was lucky enough to win the white version! The outfit itself comprised of an old, but one of my favourites, pair of leggings from Sn@tch, and a brand new jacket from Razor called Cataclysm Tri-Jacket. I fell in love with this jacket as soon as I spotted it, it's biased cut, high-necked, has a lack of a back, but it just called to the biker chick in me and so long as I don't fall off and therefore can avoid the road rash, it will look perfect on the back of a bike!!
Lastly the pose I wanted to share is an older one but still great to use from elephante poses! Voodoo is something that although associated with this time of year, has no real Halloween connotations, does it?! I mean OK I know Voodoo is sometimes seen as a kind of evil, torture, especially with things like Voodoo Dolls, but Halloween does seem to have almost adopted the idea for it's own evil uses hehe...

Horror Haute is upon us once again - admittedly I am a couple of days late to start posting this, but I have been unable to think about anything recently as my mind has been so busy! Horror Haute took on a brand new meaning for me this month... I have become their brand new Blogger Manager - *squeaks in delight* - and so I am slowly working through the process to kick the blogging for this event into a new gear! If anyone fancies becoming a blogger of the Macabre every month, please let me know, but for now I am watching, waiting and working on some stuff in regards to the process LOL...
Still this month is all about VAMPIRES!!! Be they the monsters from classic horror, or even - and I say this with a look of disgust somewhat - the sparkly variety from the new heights of Twilight... Horror Haute has them this month!
As you can see the old school vampire in me is totally against the - and please don't hate me for the wording here - Twishite variety! VAMPIRES SHOULDN'T SPARKLE IN THE SUNLIGHT! Is it just me that thinks that?!
There was so much awesome for Horror Haute this line-up that it will be present a lot here for the coming week... But I wanted to start off by showing off some of the bigger things you can get your undead hands on!
The Coffin - which my Twilight Vampire is about to be murdered in - comes from la maison des corbeaux and includes a collection of different poses for your sleeping pleasure hehe... Although now that it is in the parlour, alongside the Queen Vampire's De Baza throne, the queen herself looks far from impressed! Silly Twilight Vampire, taking the warmth of the undead queen's fire for herself... Howling Asylum's Dark Master's Fireplace is the perfect addition to any Vampire home!!!
Let's take a closer look at the difference between a modern "Twishite" Vampire and an old-school Vampire Queen shall we?
The Twilight style Vampire wears something very modern and this "The Vamp" outfit from The Untitled provides the hot new look for the undead! It comes complete with a Jacket and Skirt, as well as socks, which are not shown here - just so long as you don't mind the mess of lunch in the skirt?! To finish the look this little Twilight Vampire has slicked on some Czarny Kanarek Black Lipstick, and a necklace of true Twi-Hard style Brack-A-Brack body glitter, for when she needs a sunlit moment!
The Vampire Queen is a little more classical looking... Her NS-Riel Baelle Skin will shimmer in the moonlight, and her large Skindustrial Bodyworks eyes are perfectly offset by her elegant make-up. She wears an elegant gown, hand crafted by Insanity Incorporated and finishes her style with a simple nod to the modern style in the form of this Brick-A-Brack Twice Bitten Necklace!
As you can see, two very different styles for the vampires who stalk the night... Personally I will be sticking with the old-school variety... The Twilight vampires have deformed into sparkles in the sun and that could be a more than dangerous thing to witness!
