Medusa's Pet Snakes

On another Dark Adventure today and this time we're going to visit the coast of North Africa, although the story from which our newest friend has been known... She's actually the star of Greek mythology... A maiden of three sisters, ok they are Gorgon sisters and not to be trifled with, but it wasn't always this way... She was a true beauty, who after a romance with a Greek God was transformed into a monster with snakes in her hair.. Yet it was in death that this Medusa was her most powerful... Her eyes, that had been powerful enough to turn people to stone in life, continued in use mounted onto the shield used in war to defeat the enemy...

Medusa isn't available to welcome us into their home today, but another of her Gorgon sisters, another lover of all things snakey is here to show us the temple... 
There are snakes everywhere, and even though she still has normal hair she's wearing a headdress to honour her sister, and a pet snake on her head...

A Crone like Baba

Yesterday I brought some of the magic into my blog for Halloween... The pretty, sparkly, good kind of magic that is brought by the good witches of the world, but there are good witches like Glenda, of Oz fame, and there are good witches that hide in the deepest parts of the forest and take care of the nature around them... 
One of those is someone you may be lucky enough to bump into on a journey around the world - on a Dark Adventure perhaps?! In the deepest parts of the Siberian forests, there lives an old woman in the strangest cottage. Locals call her Baba Yaga... 

Baba Yaga is a nature loving, old crone - although some might say witch, whilst others would say hag. Her path in life is to protect the nature around her, and although that will often mean defending it from people, she doesn't mind having the odd one or two around as they make a tasty snack - especially the children, whose skulls decorate her garden fence! 
Side note, and away from the story a little but this head is JUST AMAZING, I knew as soon as I saw it at Necrosis that I'd need this head to play Baba Yaga... It's an Eldar Hag Head and Skin from BeSpoke...

Wanna go on a Dark Adventure?

Yesterday was the grand opening of our Halloween event creation...
Dark Adventures was born due to a realization that now that the Gators MC is no more, we would miss the super awesome Halloween events that we'd created for the past 8 years. Creating a new team and getting to work in July with HellBone leading the team, we're now more than a little excited to welcome you, strap you in tight and welcome you on our very first Dark Adventure! 
Pack your bags - don't forget spare underwear, I'm told it's pretty scary - we're leaving on the first plane outta here, a round the world tour awaits!! 

The stewardess is here to collect you at the start of the adventure... Follow your fellow companion, Percy the Pigeon, through the maze of an airport until you make it through and can catch your flight... You'll then go on a round the world tour and it will be the ride of your life!! 
Don't keep this air hostess waiting... She's not one to bring you extra blankets on this ride...
