When I was at school I knew a set of twins called Hope and Faith. Both of them never really seemed to fit with their name sakes... One always seemed hopeless and the other always seemed to never have faith in anything... So when I found this pose - from Juxtapose - buried deep in my inventory not only was I brought back to thinking about them but I was reminded of two key words that should take center stage in life... Words that I might have forgotten as of late...
Gosh that sounds a little melancholy, but really I am in a positive mood. I am hopeful about the year to come - no matter what life throws at me - and I have faith in myself that I am strong enough to climb over any bump or hurdle that stands in my way...
I also have some hope that my SL wardrobe can be tidied up a little bit - I used to be obsessive about having it tidy, now things seem to have slipped a little and it is driving me bonkers! - but the faith I should have in myself that I will get it tidy seems to be failing LOL... Even I don't believe myself when I tell myself that hehe...
This was another one of those Look of the Day outfits - I seem to be creating those more and more often! - and I loved it so much... Who'd have thought one of my favourite outfits of late would be because of cigarette glasses inspired by Lady Gaga?! The glasses are available from Death Row Designs. The rest of my look was kept somewhat simple... New hair from Ploom called Khloe - that was part of their 12 Days of Christmas New Releases Event - and simple knotted jewellery in the form of the Shadow Lord Choker from Ronsem - a FREE group gift by the way - and the Loa Happy Magic Skulls Necklace from Maxi Gossamer. Clothing wise, I wore my favourite leather pants from One Bad Pixel and excuse the blood but a brand new tied white shirt from Corvus that had been available at a past Fi*Friday event!!!
My real question is, after all this rambling, has anyone got a fire extinguisher handy, ya know, just in case?

Christmas for us this year was great... We ate too much because I cooked a freaking awesome Christmas dinner complete with all the trimmings of a traditional English Christmas, I got spoilt by Santa and had far too many presents, and everyone - including my somewhat grumpy mother-in-law - had a really good time!
Though I often wondered when I was little just what Santa gets up to after he has done all his work... I mean OK he may need a holiday - I don't know when he is expected to go back to work again, how long does it take to set up what he does? LOL - but I will share a little secret... Zombie Santa takes his vacation in the Gators Swamp!!
I saw him chillaxing by the fire, reclining lazily in HellBone's presidential seat, but I had to get a little closer to see what he was playing with... It turns out that Zombie Santa likes playing with puppets...
These puppets - which I believe are from Curio Obscura - make chatty noises as a typing animation... It made me laugh for a while watching HellBone dressed in his favourite seasonal avatar from Little Britain, playing with these things... Soon I realised that he was using them as a way of ignoring myself and our sister Juli - we would be chatting and he would be mimicking us with these puppets... I wonder how long it will last before he gets in big trouble!!!
The good thing about Christmas holidays is you have time to work on stuff that you haven't had time for when you're stuck working - like this set of wedding photos I was asked to work on...
A couple of weeks ago now my big sister Juli got married to her fiance Rodder... The wedding had been shrunk in size from the epicly astronomical proportions that it might have originally achieved, but that didn't stop the wedding from being one of the nicest that I have experienced in my SL...
Juli and Rodder make the perfect couple - they are both fun and friendly people, yet they both have one of those 'don't take crap from anyone' kinda mentalities... Juli is the one that is outwardly scary lol, when she's pissed people know! Rodder on the other hand has always seemed the silently, watching type - I bet when he gets mad he has a scary big boy voice though?! - but together that seems to work and they compliment each other brilliantly. PLUS, I have never met two people who seem to effervesce and sparkle as much as these two do when they are around each other.
Now when Juli told me she was getting married, I was immediately drafted in to help. I not only had to be the one to calm her nerves and stop her becoming a Bridezilla, I had to help HellBone out with writing a speech and getting a suit... That was until she asked me to help Rodder and herself out by being their photographer.
I panic at being asked to take someone's photo anyway, but a whole wedding? A set of photos that will be a memory of that day for ever! I had nightmares before the big day, on the big day during the ceremony my PC was on the verge of dying on me and I was ready to throw HellBone from his own, and then working through them and editing them after the event I was back to having nightmares again!
Still they are done... I will be posting some of my favourites on Flickr, but for now... A little collection and a huge heap of love to Juli and Rodder - I love you guys, thank you for trusting me with something so important!
Just a little more Horror Haute before the festive season begins, and this time I had a little Horror Haute with a touche of glamour... Not a lot just a touch of bloody glamour!
I wanted something a little different from the casual look I put together for my last Horror Haute look, and so this time I went for macabre formal! LOL, weird to think of those two ideas as one look, but I think I pulled it off fairly well... Maybe?!
So again, let me start with the non-Horror Haute stuff that deserves special mention...
I have talked about my teeth before in a post, way back in October when Horror Fest became the thing that dominated my blogging and hogged a lot of space in my wardrobe, but they are one of my favourite body parts - all thanks to the store ContraptioN. The other non-Horror Haute item that I want to mention is the Crappy Xmas Tree from Remarkable Oblivion, which is the December group gift.
Then on with the Horror Haute... The dress I am wearing is this month's item from Tasty Pudding. I love the sleek lines and random pattern on the Bosch dress, which I teamed with some cute little studded Muertos Heels from The Little Bat. I pulled out the gorgeous, but bloody, Baroque Room Divider from @->~ISD, and it seemed to fit with the bloody wound I had on my head as my most recent victim tried to free himself... When will they learn, the axe to the head never works! Then finally as a little touch of decoration I pulled a head off a random passing Krampus Deer - part of the outfit of the ImmateriA item - and positioned it tastefully against the partition... So pretty, and a perfect decor for a bloody Merry Christmas!

It may be the Christmas season, but for me - being a little strange at times - I am happy to drag myself away from the festive feeling towards something a little bite darker, a little more sinister and a little more Horror! That's right it is time once again for Horror Haute! I didn't get to play much with the horror that was last month's event, I was in the UK and had no chance to access anything, but this month we have some really fun things that could make fab gifts for those of you with a love of the dark - both for yourself or for your friends!
My first dip into the Horror Haute collection saw me digging out three things which I really liked and which luckily worked well together as a photo hehe...
First let's start with the non - Horror Haute stuff... I have this hairstyle that was a group gift from Ronsem amd I love the floppy hat with ears! SO CUTE! Yes I decided to go blonde in the photo too, but then sometimes it doesn't hurt to try new colours LOL... I then remembered my favourite new snowy friend. I have had to protect him a bit as we have no snow in the swamp, but the little Snowble from MishMish wanted to come out of the freezer for a walk in the garden with me today.
However, the Horror Haute Items are the main focus of the look... I have a really comfy, cozy sweater from the store A & S Visions, that comes with a hud so you can change it to 6 different colours. I added a little sparkle and glamour with the Reckoner Necklace from CoLLisions, that comes in a set with earrings. Then Snowble and I took a walk around the garden, and made another interesting discovery in one of the ruined sheds in the swamp - funnily enough last time I took a walk in the swamp I discovered a phoenix, but this time it was something a little creepier! An Oracle on the wall of one of the sheds, a little skeleton called Oskar told me to ask him a question, I asked if Santa would be coming to visit me and well, you can see the resulting answer... I checked the back of the board and an old label said Lilith's Den... I hope that doesn't mean he is always right?!

Christmas is a time for being with those that you love, and in our house it is also a time for giving gifts and making merry - such an old term now but it seems to fit this time of year more than any other in the year!
Now in RL I don't think I can see the scenario we have here ever being something I would be part of, but I was reading an online newspaper at work the other day and found this article about a competition in Asia where they are asking people to work out which is the mother and which is the daughter... I jokingly mentioned it to Kenzee... The result was this...
A somewhat joking, kinda cheeky and more than a little bit modest of us - LOL - Christmas message to some of our terrified friends! There were mixed reactions LOL... HellBone just rolled his eyes and shook his head, others thought it was hot and a couple were confused by things, but Kenz and I just loved our new lingerie from Blacklace and our new - although we both already owned at least one pair before - boots from BAX... Thank you Kenzee!!!!

It's the time of the year when everything feels a little sparklier, everything seems to twinkle and people go mad buying presents, wrapping presents and then giving presents... For me it is a season I love, closely following behind the Halloween and International Talk Like A Pirate Holidays. It is a season of happiness and silliness and fun - at least in our house anyway - everyone is welcome and no one is allowed to be left out.
So Hell and I - because I was in a forceful mood and was able to drag him away from building - posed beneath the HUGE Christmas trees that have sprung up all around the Gator MC's new Track. I forced him into looking a little festive, he was kinda Bah Humbug about it until I showed him the fun giant glasses and the awesome Christmas hats..
